Fantastic experience: Hidden Canyon Kayak was awesome. They were friendly, convenient, very affordable, and easy to work with. We had a great time on the lake. I would highly recommend using them.

Fantastic experience: We did the kayak and hike tour with Tye. Had such a great time paddling out into the canyon and then walking into the slot canyon. Highly recommended doing this tour if you're up for an adventure.

Fantastic experience: We were lucky enough to have a private tour, our guide Ty was amazing! Very knowledgeable and easy-going. Very nicely peer pressured me into doing the cliff jumping - which I can now say that I have done. Views were amazing. Definitely need to be able to kayak at least 45-minutes one way. Hike for an hour, and then kayak back to start point another 45- minutes. We stopped about 15 minutes from end to get out and swim/jump. Bring water and snacks! We brought walking shoes and changed after we got out of kayak, and wore crocs while in kayak.

Fantastic experience: Booked this tour last minute with my sister and had the absolute best time! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our tour guide John was great! He was super personable and made us feel very comfortable. We didn’t have a ton of kayaking experience before this tour and that wasn’t an issue at all. John was very accommodating and let us go as fast or slow as we needed. The views were amazing too! We absolutely recommend this! Best part of our trip.

Fantastic experience: This was such a cool experience! We had the best guide John who was an absolute gem! Our group was about 6 people all varying in age and fitness level. Our group completed the kayak and hike which were very much worth it! We needed slight accommodations and Sid and John were reassuring and supportive for both my mom and I. This tour is really for everyone and I can't recommend this tour company and John enough. Because we traveled during off season, we had the entire lake and trail to ourselves. John left much time for us to take cool pictures and was a wealth of knowledge. He made sure to engage with each person in the group and was successful in getting the more shy individuals to step out of their comfort zones. John and Sid (the other employee) made this tour worth it. They provided awesome recommendations for things in the area and also future outdoor related activities in the U.S. Be sure to pack enough water. Remember you are in a kayak and your items will likely get soaked. Luckily they provide one water proof bag per kayak which can hold your phone and camera. If you feel the need to pack more, I recommend that you bring your own waterproof back pack. I opted to go barefoot in the kayak and wear shoes on the hike. You will have to walk through water to get on and off of the boat. Do not let your size and fitness level deter you from this tour. The team is incredibly accommodating and reassuring, making this the perfect tour for all. Highly recommend this tour and either Sid or John!

Fantastic experience: This tour was so awesome. We had Jon and Sid as our guides. There were 13 of us out on Lake Powell enjoying the breeze and the sun! They taught us about the canyons history and when we got to the canyon they were very communicative about how much time we had for the hiking and what time we should go back to the kayaks. (This came in handy as the tour had children and elderly people - really really not recommended) My girlfriend and I are also extra sporty and we wanted to go deeper in the canyon so Sid and Jon recommended we rent an individual kayak from Tony on the Boat launch. They even let us go ahead of the group to head back and make it with enough time to explore. All in all we spent a whole day on the lake and left feeling full exercised (and a little sunburnt ) Note: -Not recommended for people who cannot kayak for 45 minutes to and hour. - Not recommended for those with very little balance and coordination. - BRING WATER AND SNACKS - Put sunscreen on your hands!

Fantastic experience: We recently booked the "Kayak and Hiking Tour" of Antelope Canyon through Hidden Canyon Kayak and I cannot recommend this experience enough. If you are near Page for an afternoon and do nothing else, you must book this tour. Hidden Canyon Kayak makes the experience easy with plenty of guidance on what to bring, how to dress, what to expect and where to be. Where we really got lucky is with our tour guide, Jon. Jon's passion for nature, the outdoors, and hospitality is undeniable. We were fortunate enough to have a private tour with Jon because there was nobody else signed up for the time slot we chose, so we got to interact with him much more than I would have expected. He shared all sorts of knowledge about how Lake Powell came to be, the geology of Antelope Canyon, information about the wildlife that we could hope to see, and ideas for things to do in Arizona. Jon consistently made sure we were comfortable while kayaking and hiking, he had all of the supplies we could ever need (towels, water bottles, first aid, snacks, etc.), and offered to take pictures at every turn. Sure, you can rent a kayak and paddle around yourself - but having Jon as our guide made the experience significantly better than it would have been on our own. The group I was traveling with agreed that this kayak and hiking excursion was the highlight of the trip. Thank you Hidden Canyon Kayak!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved our experience with Hidden Canyon and especially our guide John -- he was so prepared, knowledgeable about the canyon, and overall an excellent person to be stuck in the canyon with for 5 hours. We had a blast!

Negative experience: I made a reservation with this company back in October. The company first contacted me via text to ask me to change my date. Not a problem, we agreed upon a new day. Six days later, they sent another text cancelling my reservation altogether and promising a full refund within 5-7 days. Keep in mind, they canceled a week before my trip, I had to find another reputable company with availability. I waited a few weeks and still had not received my refund so I disputed the charge with my credit card company thinking it would be easily resolved. Hidden Canyon blatantly lied and said they provided the rental and that no refund was due to me. From rescheduling to canceling all via text (for what I assume is so there is no paper trail on their side), this company lacks honesty and professionalism.

Negative experience: Rented 4 Kayaks today from Hidden Kayak. Had to drag them down a 100 yards or so ourselves through the sand and rocks to get started. Thought they would help you when you rented from them. Upon return we were greeted by a little angry man who told us we would have to drag the kayaks back up a huge hill through the sand and rocks. We told him that wasn't happening and that should be their job especially when we tipped them well. He called us Lazy and had some other choice words for us. Make sure you specify they need to help you get the Kayaks to and from the water especially when the water is low and you are old like us. Might be better to go elsewhere so you don't get a bad attitude from a little angry employee...

Fantastic experience: July in Arizona is no joke and we welcomed the break from the heat by being on the water! This tour was breathtaking. Both tour guides were very well informed on the area and we enjoyed listening to them tell us about the reservoir and surrounding areas. They also took pictures for us on the water and in the canyon which we were grateful for. Thanks for the great experience!

Fantastic experience: We heard bad experience about that tour but our experience was completely different. We follow weather and the level of water in lake Powell before choosing our date. Ty ,our guide, was very interesting. We were only two party ( total 3 persons) in our tour ( really private tour). The lake and the canyon were easy to paddle ( more windy in afternoon). The guide took the time to help a sinking bird ( what my son an I appreciated a lot...taking care of the nature ). The walk inside the canyon need good water shoes, a little bite long if you are not in shape and difficult at 2 places but our guide help us. A good experience if you like adventure... Fantastic experience: We did this tour late May starting at 830 am which I highly recommend. Not too hot, not too busy with boats yet and you can really enjoy the beauty of the lake. Our tour guide was James and he was personable, willing to take photos, and educated us on the lake and the history of the area. There were not a lot of people which made for a great more personal experience. I would be comfortable rowing in a two person kayak and wear shoes that can get wet. If you signed the electronic waiver you don’t have to go to their office, just go right to the marina parking lot! Beautiful canyon tour/ hike at the end!

Fantastic experience: Originally we were going to do a rafting tour but opted for this kayak and hike combination. James was our guide and was very friendly and knowledgeable. You cannot beat the views on Lake Powell and in Antelope Canyon. The kayaking was a bit strenuous but the hike was easy. Not for all fitness levels so be prepared if you're not used to kayaking often

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time during this activity. We went towards the end of March. We kayaked two miles to the hidden canyon and then we walked 1 mile round trip and then kayaked back to the parking lot. I highly recommend this company.

Negative experience: We were meant to do this tour back in May but it was cancelled due to high winds. At the time we were promised a refund and after following up I was told there were some technical difficulties but my refund was coming. I never received my refund despite following up multiple times.

Fantastic experience: Customer support was brilliant !! We forgot what time we booked the trek, shot an email at 9 pm and got a reply in 5 minutes with the details. Gabe the guide was amazing. Gave us a lot of insight about the canyon and the lake. The tour was beautiful.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Company is extremely disorganized. Received mismatched automated emails that suggested 3 different meeting locations. Required to meet at office that was NOT OPEN, to sign papers with an employee who was NOT PRESENT - wasted 2 hours driving to different sites listed on the mismatched emails. Various employees were not aware of our tour, or even that tours were available at the time we had booked on the website and confirmed. Literally had to track down a neighboring business owner to find out who to call as no one answered the company phone or our text messages. Turns out our guide was waiting at a different location the whole 2 hours, so his time was wasted too. Tour and guide by Noah were both good - but I DO NOT RECOMMEND SPENDING YOUR MONEY HERE. It was a terrible customer service experience; we tried to connect at the various rendezvous points listed (on emails and website FAQ) and no employees were there at any of them. In reviewing the emails, from booking at Hidden Canyon Kayak, we then received communiques from a total of THREE different businesses: Paddle Board Lake Powell Hidden Canyon Kayak Kayak Lake Powell All of which have different addresses and protocol. What a mess.

Negative experience: Got up early and went out for our reservation. Waited for almost 2hrs and nobody showed up. Turns out our tour was cancelled and we were never notified. I never give such a poor review, but what a waste of our morning! I wish i can give this place no stars!! We still haven't been able to have a money refunded. I would deter anyone from using this company!!!

Negative experience: Very unorganized. The guide didn't wait for the entire group while kayaking and didn't share any knowledge of the area as other guides from different companies were. Go with a different company

Negative experience: This company had to cancel our tour due to low water levels. No problem, we understand. We emailed early in October requesting our refund. No response. Emailed again a couple days later. No response. Emailed a 3rd time. No response. Then we called. Barry answered the phone. She had no information for us but said she’d have someone call us back. So we waited a couple days. No call back. We called again on the 4th, this tine Anne answered. She made lots of excuses about how busy the owners were but finally gave in and processed the refund while we were on the phone (or so we were told). She said we’d get an email confirming the refund. When that email didn’t come by the 10th we called back. Barry answered. She had no information but said she confirmed the refund was processed on the 4th. Today is past the 7 business days so we called again. All this time still no answers to any emails. Anne answered. She looked, didn’t see the refund and supposedly called the owner who apparently told her the refund was never processed. Then Anne told us we’d get a call back today or tomorrow. I explained that we will be on vacation tomorrow so we prefer a call today. She made more excuses about how busy the owners were and how many businesses they run. No apology. No accountability. No acknowledgment of responsibility. Just a lot of attitude and defensiveness. As though I’m way out of place asking for my money back and being upset that, 10 days after we were explicitly told our refund was processed we found out it wasn’t. She kept acting as though I was blaming her that the water levels were low… going so far to say “what do you want us to let you kayak off a cliff…?” No, Anne… this was never about the tour getting canceled. This was always about us wanting o it money back, you giving us wrong answered or vague informations and your inability to act in even a halfway professional manner. And all this time still no response or acknowledgment from the owners while he holds our money hostage.

Fantastic experience: Our family had a wonderful experience! Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel really comfortable. The 3 hour tour was the perfect length - we got to experience the canyon in all of its peaceful glory, but still were challenged by the boat traffic on the return trek. We'll definitely be back!

Positive experience: My two kids (12 and 14) and I went on the morning kayak tour, which is apparently quieter than the afternoons. There were still boats on the water that created wakes and made the return strenuous but doable. The group was larger than I would have preferred (22 people and 2 guides), but the guides seemed capable and were very friendly. It was a fun way to explore the canyons on a hot day!

Positive experience: Our guides were great, very helpful and informational. Booking was easy.. The equipment this company uses is very basic and we had many issues with the equipment.. it felt like the equipment they use rates higher on being user friendly then stability. I would have traded some user friendliness for a kyak that had more stability. My rating is based alot on the equipment used and some of issues we had. The tour was beautiful, but it did feel very rushed (probablly the issue on most tours!). It would have been great if they provided water and/or some kind of drinks since we did take plenty of water and it was hot and we had drank it all before the end! They did offer dry bags and boxes before the tour. We also were not told about the $30 fee for parking at Glenn Canyon until the email the day before our tour (maybe it is in fine print somewhere on the website.). Overall a scenic tour. Would reccomend the earliest tour for the calmest waters.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience kayaking with Hidden Canyon! We made a last minute decision to stop in Page on our way to Moab the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. I called Hidden Canyon and they were able to get us in on a trip to Antelope Canyon. From start to finish everyone we encountered was so nice and helpful. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave a wonderful and informative tour. He even took the time to take pictures of my son and I for us. Just a completely wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Fantastic experience: We visited Antelope caves during memorial day weekend. Since the lower & upper antelope caves are closed due to Covid, we wanted to visit other place or make some activity. We found Hidden Canyon Kayak. But we both were beginners for Kayak & moreover my spouse isn't aware of swimming. The guide Jessie was good enough to explain the kayaking basics & we did kayaking for 3 hours..! We made this moment memorable. Jessie is an awesome guide anyone can get. She is an kayak guide, environmentalist & an historian. She explained us the brief history of canyon & also the tribe who were in Canyon for centuries.

Fantastic experience: Great experience!! We had beautiful weather in April. Jesse was our guide and super helpful. He was able to discuss the area and history of lake Powell and keep us on track. Some things I didn’t know before I went: bring a change of clothes. Even if you don’t swim, you’ll be pretty wet trying to get back in your car, if you book 2 people they assume it can be a double kayak rather than two singles (which makes sense and was totally fine with us). We booked the 8 am trip and worried about it being so early but BEST decision we made. By the time we paddled back to the unloading area, so many kayaks and motored boats were out. The water was tougher to kayak out than in at the beginning. Definitely worth the money, experience, and awesome photos.

Positive experience: We chose the antelope canyon tour starting 9:00 AM. Our guide Jesse was very cheerful and patient, did a really good job of taking us from one end to the other. I’d give them 5 stars except they told us when we booked that we could walk to the lower canyon, but we ended up not doing that because the tour was delayed by 1/2 an hour due to a group being late. They are quite explicit in their guidelines that the tour would start without latecomers and yet this is not the actual policy. 4 stars because of Jesse the guide, their equipment and the beautiful weather

Fantastic experience: I highly suggest using Hidden Canyon Kayak for Lake Powell. Keagan was a fantastic guide. He was knowledgeable, fun & we felt safe with his guidance. Great value for the guided package.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional and poor communication. I booked a 7:30 AM antelope canyon kayak tour and received confirmation via email with directions and instructions. The afternoon before the tour, I received a vague and unclear text from Keegan saying that the tour was delayed. I called with no answer so I texted asking for clarification without a response. I then called the kayak shop directly and the employee there spoke with the manager and informed me that the tour was still scheduled and set for 7:30 AM the following morning. Keegan then texted me twice later that evening after I had already went to bed with conflicting information regarding the tour. I had to drive 1.5 hours to get to the meeting spot and arrived at 7:00 AM the day of the tour. 7:30 AM rolled around and no one from Hidden Canyon Kayak had arrived. However, other kayak companies were going out on their tours. I both called and texted Keegan and was met with no response. I then called the kayak shop directly without an answer. I waited until 8:00 AM and decided to drive to the kayak shop itself. No employee was there so I waited until around 8:20 AM when someone finally showed up. That employee attempted to contact Keegan without success so he called the manager who instructed him to give me a refund, which I am still waiting to receive. Oh, and I had to pay the $30 fee to enter the parking lot of the meeting location for the tour. I would NOT recommend Hidden Canyon Kayak.

Fantastic experience: This excursion is a MUST! First, the lake was incredible! We did labyrinth canyon and it was breath taking. I would definitely do it again! Second, Anthony was so knowledgeable and accommodating! We learned a lot and laughed along the way! He definitely made the trip so fun and memorable! And he shows you how to take the best pictures

Fantastic experience: It’s simple: book Hidden Canyon Kayak. I’ve gone on two different tours with this company (Antelope Canyon in 2018 and Lone Rock in 2020) and they went above and beyond to provide a quality and FUN experience. I think what’s most impressive is there ability to give a quality tour for a diverse group of people with varying levels of experience. In my last group, we had 3 folks who never kayaked before (including 1 person who didn’t know how to swim) and myself and fiancé who love to kayak. We all walked away with a fun tour and great experience. Make sure to ask for Shook, he is one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. Love these folks. We will definitely book with them again on our next trip to Lake Powell.

Fantastic experience: My family went out with HCK on the 4th of July. What a great way to start our holiday. Keegan was a terrific guide, he was knowledgeable about the area and was great fun during the tour. I highly recommend HCK for a family adventure. We did the 7:30am trip. The weather was fantastic and we were on the lake before it go to crowded.

Fantastic experience: I visited Labyrinth Canyon 3 times by houseboat and, in the last houseboat trip, attempted to reach the slot canyon by speed boats. 15 of us drove 2 speed boats into the canyon but failed to reach the end because of the channel became so narrow that the speed boats could not get in. About 2 years ago, I was very happy to find out that Hidden Canyon Kayak could take people and kayaks to the Labyrinth Canyon and lead people kayak to the end of the canyon to visit such a place. This year, I organized a group trip to hike in the Paria Canyon including the Buckskin Gulch and arranged Hidden Canyon Kayak to take the group to visit Labyrinth Canyon. The Labyrinth Canyon looks very much like the Upper and the Lower Antelope Canyons except it is so much narrower like the Peek-Ka-Boo Canyon in the Grand-Staircase Escalante National Monument. Captain Anthony is very knowledgeable about the entire Lake Powell and very nice to us. We totally enjoyed the trip.

We loved the kayaking, the hike thru labyrinth canyon, the boat ride and the fabulous lunch Anthony provided. Couldn’t have asked for a better day/experience! Fantastic experience: Anthony was awesome. I can’t recommend him highly enough. He is someone who is equally skilled, knowledgeable, and personable. The entire trip went smoothly and he went out of his way to ensure we had the best experience possible. Anthony taught me how to swim and I now consider him the father I never had. I plan on naming my next child after him. Book your trip!

Negative experience: This review is meant for 3 waters kayaks and not this shop, they just happen to sell 3 water kayaks. I want to warn everyone about 3 waters kayaks! They have been having alot of issues with kayaks being damaged, my kayak sunk to the bottom of a lake the first time I took it out. I reached out to 3 waters and Joe said he was going to help me and to call back on Monday. When I called back he ignored my calls for over 2 weeks and has everyone else in 3 waters doing the same. 1800 down the drain and the customer service they offer is the worst in existence. You have been warned

Fantastic experience: An absolute highlight of our trip. The team were extremely professional, informative and caring. The scenery on the paddle was breathtaking. It is hard to comprehend the magnitude of the canyons through which we paddled. Our guide Taylor added enormously to our knowledge of the area and the enjoyment of our experience. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic experience: Taylor and Kato were great! They read the mixed group and customized the trip to our skills. It was a perfect balance of instruction, knowledge of the canyon, storytelling and sports. Recognizing a need to pull over and swim, they safely took the group of 13 to shore for a swim and ledge jumping. They made sure everyone was having fun!

Negative experience: We had booked a kayak tour on May 26 and we had the worst experince with this company. On the day of the tour, we reached the location only to find out that the tour had been cancelled without any prior notice. We got this information from a tour guide from other kayaking company. There was no one from hidden canyon kayak present at the location to let us know about this. We called the office and were told that the tour had been cancelled because it was windy. I can totally understand that these things happen but all I was expecting was a call from the company letting us know about this cancellation in advance. They refunded the amount for the tour but we ended up losing $30 that we paid to enter the glen canyon park for this kayak tour and they refused to provide refund for this fee. Highly unprofessional. PS: Kayak Lake Powell was still operating tours at this time when Hidden Canyon Kayak cancelled theirs.

Positive experience: Came to rent a kayak and was not careful enough to do research ahead of time. You can't rent a kayak here and haul it to lake Powell. It's a bit of a drive. If you have a proper equipment to secure it and a big car then sure why not....

Fantastic experience: Great experience. In my opinion, they should arrange at least one drop off, pick up at the marina themselves every day. It would help them. Otherwise, they were always helpful with loading kayaks and giving tips.

Fantastic experience: This organization is so great at making you feel comfortable. They never made you feel rushed, never made you feel like you didn't know enough about paddling or kayaking, and the places they brought us too were great. They were knowledgeable about facts of the area and were always willing to listen. the swimming spots and diving spots were a bonus. Always cared abotu our safety and making it all we wanted it to be. Great good, great people.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend this experience! The views were incredible (I felt like I was in nat geo) and the tour guides were awesome-- very knowledgeable and laid back. One of the best, (okay, maybe THE best) adventure of my 4 days exploring UT and AZ. Do it!

Fantastic experience: Another fantastic 5 day trip with HCK! Not really a kayaker but Clint and Nick made me feel safe and they were attentive to all. Just cannot say enough about how good HCK is and how much fun we had. It was the most wonderful time ever!

Fantastic experience: I was not much interested in doing this, but ended up doing it because of a friend. It's totally worth it. Did couple of kayak trip, but this one is easy and the canyons are so beautiful. I would recommend early morning slot to avoid traffic ;). Another exciting thing is cliff jumping from 15ft :)

Fantastic experience: This kayak tour was amazing and so worth the early AM wake up. Our guides Gavin and Alyssa (spelling? Sorry if wrong!) were knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. We kayaked into Antelope Canyon, got out and hiked in further, and had the opportunity to cliff jump and swim. All in all, the experience was amazing and we would highly recommend to anyone who would like an inside view into gorgeous Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell.
