Negative experience: Absolute worst company to work with. Highly recommend steering clear of this company at all costs. Un responsive at every stage of the management process (check in, troubleshooting, property questions).

Fantastic experience: This house was extremely clean, the location was great for the activities that we had planned, and it had absolutely everything we needed for the amount of cooking we did both in the kitchen and the grill! The pool was the perfect size for our group of six. I did recommend to management that they streamline a couple of instructions because we did have a little bit of conflicting information but nothing that created an issue for us. Also, yes it is close to the flight path but we did not have an issue with that. It’s busiest in the afternoon and in the morning starting around seven, at least during our time. If you’re super sensitive to something like that either simply bring earplugs for bedtime or some headphones or look for a different property. About 10 minutes to Indian Canyons Hiking About 10 minutes to downtown About 1hr 20 to Joshua Tree Maybe 10 minutes to the airport

Negative experience: Vacasa is a horrible company. Charged me $400 to heat the pool but systems were not working for 3 days and they would not refund a cent for the 3 days (out of 8) that the pool system was not working.

Fantastic experience: Awesome indoor outdoor living! Truly a superb indoor outdoor living retreat! Understatedly elegant home - super clean, inviting & private - with stunning landscaping & exterior lighting! Subtle touches like a quiet water feature in the courtyard surrounded by stonescapes showed that no area was overlooked when planning the home’s design. The pool was wonderful - remember to request the pool to be heated as desert evenings get chilly! Mountain views were spectacular from the backyard. Loved the various lounging zones around the pool & hot tub. There even was an unexpected & beautiful grass area, great for morning yoga! The home was well-stocked & thought through, making for an easy, casual but elevated stay! Highly recommend & plan to be back!

Fantastic experience: This was the best vacation home of its kind i could find in palm springs. Everything comparable was in another city in the neighboring valley area -- much farther from where the action is! We could see and do whatever we wanted with very little driving time required. Even joshua tree np is less than an hour away. And i had no idea what a romantic retreat this turned out to be; my partner loved it, too! The pool and spa were terrific for unwinding after an active day. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Fell in love with desert falls in love condo. Desert Falls is a very well kept development, with lovely clubhouse, tennis/pickleball facilities available to renters, and great golf course. The condo easily met expectations and more, with mostly new furniture, lovely beds, a quiet environment, and our own hummingbirds just outside the kitchen nook window! Swimming pool almost in the back yard, along with lemon, olive, and orange trees ready for plucking. Gatekeepers and clubhouse staff all very friendly and accommodating. I want to come back soon!

Fantastic experience: Our party of 5 had a great time! There was plenty of space, could have slept 10, the house was clean and comfortable. Check in was a breeze and the exit instructions were so simple and easily laid out.

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing stay at Sun and Games in Palm Springs. Our original property was cancelled two days before but Mo at Vacasa was great and found us two new options before I knew there was an issue. The house was immaculate, and had everything we could possibly need. The location was great, just a couple of minutes’ drive from downtown with its ample free parking. The neighbourhood was so peaceful, the pool and garden stunning with its cacti, oranges and lemons. Four huge beds, and even though there wasn’t a cot and highchair for our baby, we managed just fine. The washer and dryer were great and easy to use. When relaxing in the living area, you have views of the garden and pool from one window, and mountain views from the other.

Fantastic experience: Was very nervous renting a Palm Springs property through Vacasa due to some negative reviews but we only experienced kind, professionalism with every interaction. The home was perfectly clean and comfortable and when we had one small issue, Vacasa dealt with it immediately and in a very friendly manner. No hesitation booking with Vacasa again.

Positive experience: Kiwi Cottage - 0992 My husband and I stayed at Kiwi Cottage from Dec 22 to Dec 29th. The guest services people were initially excellent: polite, very helpful and they made it possible for us to check in to the house on our first day earlier than normal, which we really appreciated having flown three hours from Canada. The only glitches were 1. the instructions that were emailed to us referenced a combination lock seemingly on the front gate. There was no combination lock on the gate so it was temporarily confusing and 2. we texted the service support number as instructed on our second day when we had a question about the hot tub and they never responded to our question, ever. Somewhat related, the guest orientation binder had been put in a livingroom drawer before we arrived and we discovered the binder (by sheer happenstance) one hour before we vacated the house on our last day. I'm sure the Owners depend on guests reading the rules of the rental as much as we needed to know how to use the gas fireplace, how kitchen garbage should be handled, etc. Someone needs to speak to the house cleaners. Functionally, the house was excellent. The bedding and kitchen utencils, glasses, plates, appliances were excellent. The swimming pool was great. We made do with the hot tub not being very hot. The house was safe and private. We're quiet people so the noise bylaw we kept reading about was not an issue for us. The neighbors were very quiet too. The neighborhood is excellent and was perfectly situated for the day trips that we made. The front and back gardens were fantastic. So beautiful. We would definitely stay at Kiwi House again, but we respectfully recommend to the owners that they freshen up the appearance of the interior and exterior of the property. It is looking tired. It looks like there was a significant water leak in the house in the past because the flooring was warped in places. Remove the rotten hammacks from the front porch.No one is going to lie in them in the poor condition they're in. Please consider installing some kind of basic lighting near the front gate and around the yard path because the property is very dark at night and we almost tripped on the street curb exiting our car one night. Palm Springs and the surrounding areas were fantastic. There are many things to do for couples and families. We're looking forward to our next visit to the city.

Positive experience: Great house with what you see in the pictures. It was a very nice property, but the management company Vacasa is remarkable and unnecessarily rude/ unprofessional. The local Vacasa staff is good but you have to deal with the call center at points which was terrible. Note that the pool heating fee is actually $175 / day as they charge tax on the $150 daily fee. It is a big pool and spa which was very nice to have. This is a large very comfortable home for six adults but one did have to sleep on a twin bed. All six people loved the house and the amenities, but the big downside is Vacasa. I could only recommend this property if Vacasa was not the management company, or you could deal directly with the local agents who are unable to help with reservation issues.

Fantastic experience: Meiselman pool house - 2044 This is a great house! Palm Springs is mid-century modern heaven and we experienced that here (built in 1960). Decor was perfect, and we loved the sense of privacy inside and out. The location was very convenient - easy to find and only about 5 minutes to groceries, downtown shops and restaurants, etc.

Fantastic experience: Comfortable Modern Home We came back for another Thanksgiving in this house—two years in a row. The house is very comfortable for 6 people, and we loved that we could bring our small dog along. The main bedroom is nicely separated from the rest of the living space. I love this modern home, which looks out to an inviting outdoor space. I think my daughter turned into a mermaid in the pool. Thank you for sharing your space in beautiful Palm Springs!

Fantastic experience: Great home to enjoy palm springs! We really enjoyed the Oscar Mayer home, the space for the family, and the pool with great views of the hilly landscape of palm springs. Great location to get into downtown palm springs to enjoy the thursday night market and to get to other areas of palm springs. We will miss the home and palm springs.

Negative experience: DONT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. Took them over 2 hours to send us code to get into the rental, when they sent it they sent us wrong code resulting in someone to come and let us in with Master Key, when we got in they also issued the wrong wifi password. This waisted about 5 hours on phone and waiting time. After that in booking.com website they say heated pool and dont indicate the additional cost till after you book with the company. That they tell you it is an $80 per day cost. Pool was set to 70 degrees (freezing ) dont care how hot it is outside pool was way to cold without heat. Beware they do false advertise with booking.com and other 3rd party vendors they go with to book the stays. Booking.com was great however the company Vacasa is horrible and do False advertising through there 3rd parties. Do not book them

Fantastic experience: We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Brentwood, which is a quintessential Palm Springs home. The place was as gorgeous in person as it is in pictures. From the beginning, communication with vacasa was great and self checkin was easy. The house was very clean, tidy, and quite nicely decorated. The bathrooms had plenty of essentials as well as extras like complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The bathroom and bedroom linens were of good quality and the beds were extremely comfortable. We all had wonderful nights' sleep during our visit. The well-appointed kitchen had everything (except groceries of course) we needed to prepare several meals there during our stay and the grocery store was only a couple blocks away. We have been vacationing in Palm Springs for many, many years and without a doubt this home has the best pool we've ever encountered. Plus, the problem-free jacuzzi turned on and off easily via remote. We had a problem with the heavy glass top coffee table base collapsing; however, the glass did not break and no one was injured. When I communicated the situation with the vacasa representative, a response was immediate and a resolution quickly followed. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and not too far from downtown Palm Springs. We would happily stay at The Brentwood on another Palm Springs vacation in the future.

Fantastic experience: Comfortable Mid Century Modern House Neighborhood had many beautiful Wexler designed homes. If you love mid century modern, this is the place to stay. Fantastic 50’ pool and spa was a definite plus. Plenty of amenities, clean, comfortable furniture, nicely decorated, and beautifully landscaped.

Negative experience: Avoid booking with them! They lied on the phone about amenities they don't have so we would book the property. After arriving there pool light was broken as well as the jacuzzi. Warming up the pool was disabled even though we paid extra $250 to be able to warm the pool.The manager response was constantly " I am in a meeting, will be in touch later" so they just kept delaying fixing the problems until we leave. I would never book with them again!

Fantastic experience: Great summer get-away This house was great for my family fun trip. Perfect for disney fans, this house has super cute decor and the kids room is the best! One of the top reasons i booked this place. What’s even better the house was fully equipped with kitchen utensils for us to use. Also the pool is a great size for our my family to enjoy with the pool floats the host provided. It was also fun to have a quick game of mini golf. I highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic experience: Excellent property. Home away from home. Loved the ambience, designs,and artwork. Very spacious , clean,the rooms are all big with ac in each of the rooms including the living room. Very cozy place. Alot of relaxation space in the backyard , and outdoor games. Highly recommended!!!. The place is very close to the joshua tree visitation center where you can get your tickets.

Fantastic experience: The place is more than perfect. If i could rate it 6 stars out of 5 i would have done. The pictures do not do it fair. It’s spacious, very private, outside area is beautiful, swimming pool is fun and clean. Sunrise view is beautiful. Very clean. Among the best equipped rentals toaster, blender, grill, pots and pans , spices large grill. Lots and lots of towels , detergents bedding, we were 19 and we were very comfortable. Look for the hidden outdoor bathroom behind the swimming pool, look for the mint plants if you like mint tea, the game room is nice but we didn’t get to use due to the weather, but it would be nice otherwise. Volleyball and private playground too. The 19 of us agreed that this place was a hit. I would definitely come back

Fantastic experience: The condo was big and enclosed with a private pool. The pool temp wad perfect for the heat. The rooms were spacious each with their own private bathroom and well lit. Thr space was bright with many windows and the artwork was simply amazing and accentuated all the rooms. If you're bringing your dog which i did, there is a beautiful grassy area in the back for walking and playing.

Positive experience: We enjoyed our time here. The house was clean and cozy. They have a blender and all the basic dishes you will need. Large fridge and freezer space., washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. The pool and backyard view is very pretty and relaxing. We went in july so it was really hot. The weather was about 110 degrees out and the pool temp said 96 degrees. It was still fun to swim in. The thermostat in the house is set to 76 degrees and cannot be changed. It felt quite hot in the house at some points. Additional fans in the house may help with this. Overall, a great time!

Positive experience: Perfect location in Palm Desert! Palm Desert perfect central location. The house was very clean, uncluttered, modern decor. It looked to have been recently updated very nicely with upscale newer appliances. Lots of windows, lots of natural light, very spacious rooms, huge kitchen. The 2-car garage was really more like 1.5 because of the built-in cabinetry. No problems with wifi or streaming roku. Desert falls country club and the villa are lovely and centrally located in palm desert. Security and hoa were friendly and helpful. I stayed 5 weeks and did contact vacasa customer service for some assistance and they were very responsive and courteous. Vacasa did a great job! Unfortunately, the local onsite manager was opposite, did not follow through or respond well, which was the only negative part of the trip.

Negative experience: Very poor experience with the local staff. At check in. There should of been a gate fob inside unit. There was none. Person behind counter was not helpful. Just texted someone else and refused to provide me with managers direct contact info. Unit screen was broken and sliding door was very hard to open and close. Will not rent thru this agency again

Fantastic experience: Great home The home was simply awesome with its pristine white color, and impressive furniture. Contrasting color inside. Great to see a small working den apart from 2b2b. Negative experience: First of all since when they ask for IDs to be send out to verify who’s coming ?!! Description of the location is not right. You can’t find the gate to get in!!! The house is at a gated community and has multiple gates to get in but the problem is only of these gates can let the visitors to have access to the property!!! We had to drive all of the gates to find out that the gate at the Jefferson is the one we can get in from!! Pool was dirty and cold. We asked to have the pool heated 2 days prior of our arrival they told us that they can’t heat up the pool cuz of the numbers of days we are staying, really?! When does it mention that rule!! ***Broken glasses by the pool*** On top of all this the grill had an empty propane!!! We asked Vacasa customer service to get us one they promised us that they will the next day, but of course Ntg happed !!!! ***BBQ Grill with empty propane *** By far this was my worst experience at Palm Springs We go to Palm Springs2-3 times a year

Fantastic experience: A gorgeous place I stayed at this place with my sister who was visiting from germany. It was a beautiful house, modern kitchen and bathrooms, and the bedrooms had new carpet. The house was equipped with all kinds of amenities including various dishes, wine and cocktail glasses, utensils, cookware, etc. There were two fridges one in the kitchen and one in the garage. The pool was very clean but the patio furniture was dirty due to the high wind and dust. But the inside the house was immaculate. My only concern was that i could hardly fit my suv in the garage because there were wooden shutters and extra roll of carpet on the ground. I would definitely consider staying at this place again.

Positive experience: Ps pleasantry The home was nice, spacious and centrally located. The backyard, pool and spa were great, clean and private. The only issue was the mosquitoes and the subsequent bites while enjoying the property. Cleanliness could have been a little better, but with a little attention to detail, i would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The hosts were fantastic - incredibly communicative, responsive, and welcoming throughout our entire visit. The home was stunning, with meticulous with attention to detail in the decor and furnishings. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, fully equipped with everything we needed. Positive experience: Great get away spot This mid century modern home was just right for 4 traveling friends who wanted a nice, convenient, quiet place to stay. The kitchen was great, space inside and outside to sit, relax and feel comfortable. The beds were all comfortable and two full bathrooms were appreciated. We sat by the pool, but did not use it as we did not request it to be heated and it was a bit chilly during our stay.

Fantastic experience: Peaceful palms was nicer than what we saw online!! The kitchen is amazing. The pool and backyard is like a resort, a very quiet neighborhood, our young grandkids were basically the only noise we heard. We paid extra to have the pool heated, well worth the cost! We were there in april for the kids spring break. The first few days were in the 70’s with the typical wind. Having a warm pool kept everyone happy. The tv’s are all smart tv’s which was nice. They don’t have any cable tv which we did miss. There are tv’s in all 3 bedrooms. The bathrooms are both updated and very nice. We would highly recommend peaceful palms to our friends and family.

Positive experience: Allows two dogs, which is great! With extra charge of $100 per dog, which is fine. But still charges extra surprise cleaning fee later on for naturally shed hair, which is unexpected. I feel like the extra dog stay fees should’ve covered that. The property itself is lovely.

Fantastic experience: Just as advertised, the house was spacious, well stocked, and highly functional! Liked the funky decor! We had the unfortunate circumstance of a rainy weekend but we made the most of it in the cozy house, playing games and enjoying the surroundings. The location is great for those who want to experience the city of palm springs. We were less than 15 minutes from all of the restaurants and shopping and 10 minutes from the airport. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Would highly recommend this house!

Negative experience: Save yourself the pain and disappointment. This agency doesn't care about your comfort, satisfaction, or safety. Their only concern is making money. I was staying in an expensive home in Palm Springs when it was infested with large black flies. After notifying VACASA, they sent an exterminator who told me there was something rotting that was creating the issue. He killed the existing flies but assured me they would continue to show up. VACASA sent someone to clean up the dead flies. Then he told me, " The problem is taken care of." The next morning, the flies were double. I sent another photo. I was told they would put it in the file. I was never told they were sorry or embarrassed. Never asked if we were ok staying there. I was never offered any resolution. When I asked for compensation, I was told no. This company is rightfully suffering many home owners pulling their vacation rentals from their management. The employees are also very unhappy with the company's policies, and it shows in employee behavior.

Positive experience: Comfortable and beautifully designed The unit is very spacious and comfortable. It had most everything we needed for our month-long stay. Though it lacks some basic kitchen necessities like food storage containers, plastic bags/wraps and foil. The washer/dryer unit and the ac worked well. We liked the location. Easy to get to places in PS as well as other neighboring cities. The pool and the hot tub were well heated and comforting. Regarding some prior comment postings about noise… if you sleep in the master bedroom, you can expect some road noise, especially if you leave the slider open at all. Additionally, you can expect to hear customers of nearby businesses on weekend evenings. We recommend keeping the slider closed or sleeping in the other bedroom. We don’t consider it a game changer.

Positive experience: We recently stayed at this rental house with two other couples and had an overall enjoyable experience. The house and location provided a great view, and the hot tub added a nice touch to our stay. However, there were a few aspects that could be improved. It would have been convenient to have some kitchen items like coffee, olive oil, salt and pepper, and basic spices. Also a box of trash bags versus 2 or 3 would be an added convenience. The powdered shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathrooms was inconvenient, requiring water addition and providing only enough for one use. It would have been helpful to know this in advance in order to bring our own. The toilet paper provided was remarkably thin, and a higher quality would be appreciated. The amenities left something to be desired. The tv is in the smaller family room rather than the larger living room which made for a cramped super bowl event and the remote needs updated instructions. The lower oven and spa jets weren't working and there were quite a few carpet stains. We suggest enhancing the welcome experience with a thoughtful touch, such as a welcome basket with a bottle of wine and some light snacks. Despite these minor inconveniences, the house and location offered a pleasant stay, and with a few improvements, it could provide an even more satisfying experience.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful house with a spectacular backyard and pool This house is a recently renovated, beautiful, welcoming space. Located about 10 minutes from the airport, the house is central to a lot of amazing restaurants and bars. Also, about 10 minutes from Indian canyon and an hour from Joshua tree if you’re up for a touristy drive. The house has a full-size kitchen, large fridge with a self-filtering water pitcher and plenty of cutlery essentials to cook meals. The home is impeccably decorated in midcentury modern style while still feeling cozy. We watched several movies with our group and enjoying our time lounging. They even have weights and a peloton for those who want to get a workout in. There were plenty of extra towels for us to use and there is full laundry for to keep them fresh after taking a dip. The gorgeous backyard is private with an accessible fire pit and heated 9-foot pool for the cooler evenings. We had a wonderful palm springs experience because of the convenience and comfort of this house. Highly recommend this place if you are seeking a house that is relaxing and comes with all the amenities you may desire.

Positive experience: Great location Nicely renovated, clean & great location near shops/restaurants. Medical helicopters are received nearby, I’d recommend ear plugs and eye covers for sleeping. No coffee/spices/oil provided so bring your own. Quiet complex, but neighbors above can be heard walking around at night, shower/toilet all can be heard from the unit.

Negative experience: Booked through AirBNB confirmation HMYP2M5QRR Nov 3-6. Insanely bad experience here. No hot water in the house, paid for a heated pool and hot tub that did not work, house falling apart. Vacasa does not care. Will not refund even the separate fee for pool heating when it did not work. Paid over $4000 to this company. Outrageous way of doing business. Will not respond to us anymore. Stay away. They keep saying that they reimbursed me but it's not true. They should reimburse me for the pool heating fee that did not work.

Negative experience: Stood outside for 30 minutes waiting for someone to call us as none of the door codes worked (104 degrees outside with a two year old), air conditioning did not work, had to call three times to get someone to come service, now pilot light/ water heater is out and can’t take a shower. Have left three voicemails with no response. They offered $200 or a full refund if we want to get out. Nice. We’ll see if the $200 ever arrives.

Negative experience: Had a rental last weekend the air conditioning was out for the first day. I ended up fixing it myself. I have asked for a manager to call me back regarding compensation for the day that it was out nobody has called me. Do yourself a favor always go through private parties with Airbnb's. Update to this review they are upset. I left a bad review and they then contacted Airbnb saying I stained the carpet. Looks like they are striking back to get out of my refund. The carpet was already stained in every room. It's a beige carpet and they're lucky I didn't leave that in my original bad review. I was being nice and gave them a 50-50 review . Watch out these people lie they will take your money and there is stuff wrong with their properties. I've rented so many times with no issues. This place is ridiculous. Just look at all the bad reviews.

Negative experience: Terrible experience as a renter of a luxury home in Palm Springs in March 2023. They reflect poorly on the home owner as well. Remember when booking a vacay that they are the ones that can make or break your experience (not the home owner). We will avoid any properties managed by them in future. Despite asking for help from management to aid us with the numerous and repetitive problems we had, particularly with the pool, not once did they reach out directly. They left the poor helpless rep take the brunt of it all, with no recourse. Also heard by various reps that they were having staffing issues. No heart - all corporate. As homeowners ourselves, we can appreciate issues come up with a home, and much can be forgiven. It was their response and their unwillingness to actually give any effort to reach out or listen to the clients that made it so frustrating and disappointing.

Negative experience: DO NOT RENT ANY PROPERTY THROUGH VACASA. None of the house amenities function and the customer service and management is terrible. I have been renting houses in various cities for years and never had issues like this. The house had a pool, hot tub, and 2 fire pits. Neither of the fire pits worked. The hot tub was cold. I paid to have the pool heated and it was over heated to the point it was hotter than a hot tub and we could not swim. Two men showed up to work on the solar panels on the roof at 730am in the middle of our vacation, waking up the entire house. I had to call customer service every day and they were not helpful at all, they simply had a "canned response" that did not address any of the actual issues. It took me 5 days to get a manager on the phone and it was someone located on the east coast. When I asked to speak to the Palm Springs Manager they said I couldn't because there was no direct line. And when I expressed my dissatisfaction with their handling of all of these issues they removed my ability to leave a review on the rental, the email link and text link to leave a review no longer worked. The entire situation was frustrating and shady. Do yourself a favor and do not rent a vacation house through this company.

Negative experience: $8K is expensive for this but that is what the market bears. No method to get guests past the gate. The unit was dirty, counters greasy, cupboards sticky grimmy. The carpet stairs were stained, badly needs a shampoo or replacement. The vacuum hardly functions. The BBQ was filthy and caused grease flames. It would have been nice to use the bikes. Negative experience: As a homeowner, I'm finding the local response team failing to meet even basic customer satisfaction requirements. We pay ALOT of Money to Vacasa to make sure the local guest experience is seamless. My current guests have had issues from moment #1 (locked out; no operable pool control; miscommunication). In these INCREDIBLY COMPETITVE times VACASA needs to understand there are alternatives. Instead, I'm having to relay messages between my guests, corporate, and a multitude of local representatives. VACASA your experience level has plummeted.

Negative experience: I was a very happy renter with Vacation Palm Springs since 2017. Wrote a few considerably positive reviews singing their praises; even singling out a few individuals for their consistently excellent service. Then, unfortunately, all hell broke loose! Eighteen months ago this company was acquired by Vacasa and suddenly everything went incredibly south overnight! Gone were the super pleasant staff members who were summarily replaced by a Cadre of disarmingly unpleasant and stone faced mean spirited Corporate drones. Even the few remaining folks began to be totally unpleasant to deal with. The newly appointed property manager for Palm Springs Villas 1 was never pleasant to deal with and his answer to everything was a stone faced "Well that was back when it was Vacation Palm Springs a couple of years ago. We don't have access to any of those files or records!" His knowledge of basic management skills were always disarmingly poor and yet always spoke with total unpleasant authority no more how ignorant of the facts. When the owner of my unit finally decided not to renew our lease this Manager claimed that a security deposit was never paid. He went so far as to attack the veracity of my claim that in actual fact two separate security deposits were paid, one in 2017 and a second deposit in 2019 upon signing a new lease. He reluctantly agreed that both deposits were in fact received only when presented with copies of two Cashiers Checks as proof that his claim was indeed false. He even went so far as to claim that our former property manager told him that a second security deposit was never received and that their financial "team" had no record of ever receiving anything! The buck was passed around back and forth for well over a month then the matter was finally handed off to one of their real estate brokers who did arrange for a partial refund of both deposits after deductions were made for absolutely everything imaginable. A check was then finally cut and mailed out to me seven days past the California mandated refund due date of 21 days after moving out. In short, these people are devoid of any degree of integrity, honesty and commonly acceptable business practices or professional behavior whatsoever. If you wish to be treated like total trash and have the worst rental experience of your life, Vacasa is without question the way to go! They epitomize what a true corporate nightmare can be if one allows them to treat you like nothing more than garbage! There can be absolutely no excuse at all for the way that this company insisted on doing its business like thieves and lowlife! Caveat Emptor folks!! suddenly ev

Negative experience: This is quite honestly one of the worst companies I have ever given money to. I should have researched them before renting, they are 100% unconcerned with the actual *experience* of your stay, they take your money and you better not need or expect anything after that. Their local staff were incredibly rude and totally unconcerned with issues, NEVER called us back when we had multiple issues at the house and at times flat out refused to help. I guess their business must run well on first time renters only, I can't imagine ANYONE would ever rent from these people twice. I know I won't.

Positive experience: I was part of a group of around 10 friends who had booked a trip to Palm Springs and we were planning to stay at a hotel. With less than 10 days before we were set to arrive, the hotel called us and said they couldn't accommodate us due to construction. Vacation Palm Springs came to the rescue and within a day we had found the perfect house to accommodate this mixed (co-ed, couples, singles) group of ours. Would definitely rent from them again.

Negative experience: ROBBERY DURING STAY. OVER $7,000 WORTH OF ITEMS STOLEN WHILE OUT. The burglar was able to easily popped one of the bathroom windows out to enter the home..because the window panel was outdated and unsecured (learned this from the window fixer who came to replace the window) Called management and they were terrible. My group and I were traumatized, felt uneasy and unsafe. We asked to be moved to another accommodation or full refund - they said NO to both. They were extremely unaccommodating. AVOID!!!!!!! AVOID El Paseo Modern (located at 73067 Haystack Rd, Palm Desert, CA 92260) and Vacation Palm Springs.

Negative experience: Photos from listing compared to actual home varied. They make the home look beautiful and colorful in the pictures, but replace it with boring furniture. They accused me of damaging something in the house almost a month after me staying at the property. Unacceptable accusations, and very disappointed considering the fact that their home wasn’t what they advertised. Will never book a home through vacation rentals again.

Negative experience: Stayed at this beautiful home with four girlfriends for the weekend. The property was outstanding and we enjoyed it. However, This is the absolute worst management group I have ever run into and I have stayed in many places in many areas. They were horrible. Completely incompetent and had no interest in in serving the client. They are absolutely awful. I can’t believe the hoops we had to jump through. Most of the information they gave us about the stay was incorrect. I needed to contact them after our stay and was on hold for an hour and a half. I left a couple of items there I needed to get back and they refused to help me. After waiting for an hour and a half on hold I finally got someone who told me they would try but don’t Count on it. I can’t imagine treating clients this way and expecting them to ever deal with you again. I am very disappointed. Jan

The person I spoke to was polite but seemed to know little about company policies and couldn't answer my question. I was promised a call back with the answer but never received it. I then wrote an email to the company. Same result. No reply. I see that others have experienced similar unresponsiveness.

Negative experience: This business is a SCAM. I booked through VRBO and Vacation Palm Springs canceled my booking. VRBO says they owe me my deposit back but the business refuses to pay. VRBO has disabled their ability to rent that house until I receive payment. I would not trust this business with your money. I will be reporting them.

Negative experience: AVOID this business. I found their staff very friendly and approachable. However, their systems seem very poor indeed. We had problems with the pool and spa, from the moment we arrived for about 10 to 14 days. I spoke to about 5 of their staff, all of whom seemed very helpful but none of whom seemed to do anything. Eventually, after I very politely complained, the "manager" phoned me and seemed indignant that I had said we'd had no heated pool for this time, despite having paid a $2000 deposit for it and despite many requests for repair. Also, he seemed to have no idea of the contents of my previous conversations with his team! So, nice people but my experience was of poor management and systems. Eventually, I got into contact with the owners handyman who was the opposite--very quick and efficient. I was kindly told that I would have compensation for the loss of this important part of my holiday, but when we came to sort out return of my deposit they denied ever having made this offer! Also, no proper accounting or evidence of the actual heating costs deducted from my deposit--and those costs seemed suspiciously extraordinarily high. AVOID them!

Negative experience: Rented a house for a week; overpriced and the house was in total disrepair. Leaking faucets, broken cabinets, chipped paint everywhere and a pool heater that we paid for daily and did not work. Refrigerator water was broken as was the ice machine. The vacation palm springs office was incompetent and unhelpful. Although they say 24 hour assistance available, you have to wait on hold sometimes for 15 minutes. The key code they initially provided us with to enter the home did not work. I had to call and wait until they could give us a new code (got locked out). When we arrived after our check in time (we arrived at 3:30 and check-in was 3:00) the cleaning service was still there until 4 p.m. I pointed out the few broken items when we arrived (leaky faucet, refrigerator water/ice access that did not work, etc. ) and when we returned home I received a letter indicating they were charging us an additional $100 dollars for damages (to be clear, there were no damages and also to be clear they did not specify what was in fact damaged that they were charging us for). I am grossly disappointed with this experience and this company. I had intended to rent through them again but this will never happen and I suggest you do not use them either. The address of the house you should not rent is: 1180 Pasatiempo Road in Palm Springs. Neighborhood (although in Movie Colony) is sketchy.

Negative experience: If there was a 0 star I would gladly put zero. This company is a rip off. We had guests from Russia and we wanted to entertain. We booked through Vacation Palm Springs by just looking at the pictures that they posted on the website. As soon as we walked in we had a total opposite of what we saw on the pictures. We were disgusted and disappointed. The place was DIRTY, no maintenance at all. Beds were covered with animal hair, TV was not working and had a blury screen. Couches were ripped. (I have all the pictures and videos for reference). When I went to see the manager the only thing that she suggested was to call a cleaning crew. I was ashamed of my guests who were supposed to wait outside in 110 degrees until they figured out what they could do. I am going to report this place for not taking full responsibility and for stealing money by posting wrong and not real pictures. If you want to rent a house just go to VRBO. It’s a better website.

Fantastic experience: I have used this rental company twice in the past and I have had nothing but good experiences. The process of renting a home can be a little intimidating but the online process was super easy. I have rented online and I’ve also called and spoken with the courteous staff that was willing to answer any and all my questions. The staff went out of their way and even emailed me a list of available homes within my search criteria. My family and I travel in large groups that include small kids and a dog so you know we need plenty of rooms/beds and plenty of square footage per home. Their website displays a large variety of homes in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. Each home has lots of pictures and information detailing each home and it’s features just be sure to actually read the info so you are not disappointed upon arrival. The rental property’s staff appears friendly and seems willing to assist. Each home I have rented has the welcome appeal that my family needs such as gates are unlocked, the AC in the house was already on so my kids walk in to a clean, cool home. I particularly enjoy the quiet, tranquil areas that these homes are in. Overall, this is an excellent rental company with efficient, friendly staff and competitive prices. We always enjoy renting from this place.

Negative experience: I reserved an active listing for Memorial Day weekend and paid full price. About a week and a half prior to my stay, I receive an email from VacationPalmSprings saying that the house that I reserved is no longer available because it has had a leak which will not be fixed by my stay date. They offered me two other houses to choose from on the same days. I chose one of the other houses, and received a confirmation email. 4 days prior to memorial weekend, I get a call from Britt at VacationsPalmSprings saying that this house is also no longer available because the owner is using it and the only thing that he can do is refund me the money. I've had family come across country for memorial weekend and this has been the worst experience I've ever had. It is unacceptable to treat customers like this and be so careless. I would not recommend anyone to go through this website or have any type of affiliation with them. Horrible service, a nightmare to deal with this company, and you never know what's coming next.

Negative experience: We paid for a heated pool and spa. We could not get the spa to work and the pool was not warm on the first day. We called multiple times, asked for instructions on how to use the spa. No one called back. They now say (after we returned home and called for the 8th time for a refund) they came out and checked and everything was ok. But they never communicated that to us, never left us instructions etc. I would not use them again.

Negative experience: Let me begin by saying this company sent me a review form right after our departure in which I shared the following concerns and asked them to contact me by today-January 5, 2019-one week post departure if they did not want me to post on social media and contact the BBB. I was sure they would want to address this privately and gave them the opportunity to do so. Nothing...not even an acknowledgement. At the same time I posted the same review information on the "El Paseo Modern" house we had rented directly on their website and waited for it to appear. Of course, it did not. Then it hit me...they only post positive reviews, which is why this house had not had a review posted for 6 months. In their original inquiry, they asked what one thing would have made our stay better. Here was my response: "It would be more like a dozen things that needed change and, moreover, required a great deal of assertiveness on our parts to have even some of them addressed on the 22nd (the day we checked in) versus the 26th (the day after Christmas)----which your staff stated was "because we are so busy and it is the holidays" which, of course, had we not pushed back, would have been more than half way through our stay. The top dozen were: 1) pool and jacuzzi not heating or draining properly and not chlorinated properly, 2) gate code never worked, 3) ice maker not working, 4) trash compactor broken, 5) outside TV ripped off wall, 6) 4 of the outside lounges slashed and unusable, 7) dining room light broken, 8) no refrigerated water, 9) outside awning broken therefore no shade,10) BBQ hood missing left side screws so unusable for outside grilling 11) two of the dining room chairs unstable to sit in, 12) and refrigerator doors not closing properly (freezer had been left open upon our arrival because of this issue and all the ice trays melted). Everywhere we looked during our first few hours of settling in, we found more things in poor condition and unaddressed maintenance issues. When I finally got very firm with Alexis and Jade, which should not be necessary when we have paid top dollar and agreed to all terms thus fulfilling our end of the bargain, they sent Jose to "save the day"...he did as much as he could to bring things into the best working order on a Saturday night (we gave him a sizable tip for his efforts because of his work ethic and sincerity). However, many things remained undone because Jose's resources were limited---he could not fix an expensive awning or replace and rehang an expensive TV. Our issue then became false advertising...both in photos and in print (we kept copies of what we were told we were getting from your website) given that we were told we would have all of these amenities, yet many were not there...yes, that is fraudulent...if things change with a rental home, you MUST amend your advertising or you must offer a rebate or the chance for us to cancel and be placed in a similar home close by...neither was done or offered. You do the owners an injustice (I do hope they themselves read this) if you do not manage their property within these ethical and legal boundaries. The owners actually have a potentially lovely property, but they deserve to know what is being left undone and we deserve to have full disclosure if we are not going to get what was advertised and what we paid for. All of this was unfair, stressful, and really poor business practice on "Vacation Palm Springs" company's part. I recommend you have full "informed consent", having toured and walked any property you are interested in renting, prior to doing so.

Negative experience: ZERO stars. All the reviews are true do not rent from this company. Nothing but scammers. They try to milk as much money out of you with all these extra charges and fraudulent claims. They try to find any reason to evict you even though you are within the rules. Worst experience ever from a rental company. Do not ever rent from them!

Negative experience: Horrible business practices! In August 2017 I booked a rental house through Vacation Palm Springs for 5 days in April 2018. Now it's February 2018 and they cancelled the reservation on me, with only two months notice. They haven't refunded my deposit yet, they haven't offered me any discount on another purchase and they refuse to accept blame. They cite that the homeowner sold his property and therefore they have absolutely no obligation to honor our existing rental contract. If I had cancelled on them I would still be charged 10% of the original contract; but apparently it is okay when they cancel on me instead. I put over $1,000 down on a deposit for a $4,200 rental agreement for a 5 bedroom property. I will never ever use this company or recommend this company to anyone for any reason. They will ruin your vacation last minute and act like it's your fault. Email message from Bunnie @ Vacation Palm Springs: "The home you reserved [RENTAL HOME NAME] is no longer available for your dates. The was sold. I know that this is disappointing, but I am here to help. Listed below are 5 bedroom homes that are open and available for your dates. My contact information is listed below I will be in the office tomorrow morning from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. If you should see a home that you are interested please email me or you call me at the number listed tomorrow." EDIT UPDATE: Yes, Vacation Palm Springs did offer alternative houses - but not a single one of the alternatives they proposed matched the dates I had chosen. IE Every alternative they offered up would have me leaving a day earlier than was possible, and because I was in Palm Springs for a work trip, this was not an option. So in short, no, Vacation Palm Springs did not offer appropriate alternatives. Further, the five alternatives that were sent to me clearly stated the daily rental rate, which was much higher than my original booking and out of my budget. I don't know if Vacation Palm Springs would have honored the original rates for the nicer rental homes, but when we are talking about a difference in the $2,000 to $6,000 range, it needs to be described to me, up front, that they would have honored that original booking rate. Explaining to me over Google Reviews that they would have honored the original rate is not acceptable. Lastly, Yes, it is not in the terms and conditions of Vacation Palm Springs to guarantee availability of a property even when booked in advance. So, when I booked a property 9 months in advance and it was sold 2 months before my stay - they are not responsible nor liable based on their terms and conditions. This does not put the customer first, or guarantee an excellent experience. Had I been offered realistic alternatives (IE alternative 5 bedroom rentals for the full duration of my intended stay) and been instructed that they would have honored the original price (instead of listing the higher rental price in their email) this would have been a 4 star listing. Instead, I was left with alternatives that didn't fit my schedule, or were out of my budget, and I had to frantically search for my own alternative houses for me and my 5 guests for our stay - the week before Coachella. I stand by my 1-star review because I feel that is what Vacation Palm Springs deserves. I was left without a rental home on short notice for one of the busiest weeks of the year, and was not treated promptly and fully with the respect I feel is deserved when booking a $4,200 rental home.

Negative experience: I gave them 2 stars because even though the house we stayed at had many positives like being fully stocked ,nice, big (3beds 3bath) and clean their customer service isn't the greatest.. we stayed from Thursday through Saturday and on Friday while getting ready to head out into down town for dinner, one of the toilets got clogged water started coming out from underneath the toilet and started flowing out the shower tub, filling it with nasty water, I called customer service and a girl said they would send someone out. 30-45 minutes went by and no one had yet to show up so I called again, I asked if she had any information on the ETA of the plumber and she said that usually over the weekend (it was Friday around 5pm) was always harder to find someone available and said she had no information whatsoever about when and how much longer we'd had to wait. It was then when I asked if it was safe to use the other restrooms to shower because we had dinner reservations and we needed to finish getting ready she said no because they were afraid of backing up the other restrooms, understandable, but what do we do? the rest of the house (the other half that wasn't ready) had to shower and we couldn't, just wait around until someone showed up time was running out and we were going to miss our dinner reservations so we had to finish showering outside in the backyard with the water hose! (we ended up missing the reservations) the plumber showed up about an hour later and he suggested we just go out to dinner anyways because it would be a while before he'd finish The toilet was so clogged because there was roots in the tubes! and worked on the toilet for almost 3 hours! During which the house reeked of plumbing and waste we understand that situations like that are inevitable and hard to determine but I called to complain the next day (Saturday) after checking out to talk to someone In charge and get at least a night refunded because of the huge inconvenience we had to go through the guy that answered told me the guy I would need to talk to wasn't there and wouldn't be back until Monday so he forwarded me to his machine which just ended up hanging up on me so I waited and called back in Monday when the girl I talked to said that he was still out and wouldn't be back until Tuesday and that he would call me first thing in the morning it is not Wednesday almost a week after our stay and NO ONE has contacted me! I don't think I'll ever book anything through them again.. you book a house and immediately they require a deposit and then required to pay the full amount a month before the date and yet they take forever to call back after situations like these happen horrible customer service and no regard about anything after they're paid! we couldn't even use that restroom for the rest of the time there because that's just nasty and unsanitary but they don't care all they want is your money once they have that you don't matter

Negative experience: I am following up on my stay at the Poseidon house. When we got to the office to check in with a manager, we were told we would absolutely be fined and evicted from the house if we played ANY music at ANY time both indoors or outdoors. This should have been communicated to us prior to renting as we were only told that we could not play music outdoors after 10pm. When we finally got to the house itself, the pool was filthy, the trash cans were full and overflowing, one of the toilets was leaking water onto the bathroom floor, the oven door was completely shattered so we could not cook the dinner we had already bought to cook that night, and there was no hot water in the master shower. I called the Vacation Palm Springs office immediately to request help and it took HOURS for anyone to come to the house. We spent weeks planning for this trip for for my sister's bachelorette party and the amenities and conditions were quite a letdown. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend renting a Vacation Palm Springs home to anyone.

Negative experience: Horrible company that scams you out of money. The worst company ever. I warn you find any other place. Literally anything from a hotel to a tent would be better than being scammed out of your money from these scum bags!!!!!!!!!!!!
