Negative experience: Every single time I’ve had to call to get road service it’s been a complete disappointment, after waiting hours for help no one showed up, again I had to call yesterday for a tow , when I called I get an automated message saying they sent me a text with a link to submit my request which didn’t work so I had to call back, finally after a delay getting a person to talk to they said they needed 24 hours notice to provide me help , I couldn’t believe it ! After spending over a $160.00 for a premium membership every year you’d think they would provide some help in an emergency, after waiting many hours for help I called back and asked what was going on, I was hung up on and had to call back, if I could give negative stars I would, the service is that bad, when you really need help in an emergency you will be out of luck with these people, outrageous for the amount of money I spend each year, they don’t care and it shows, you would be better looking for another company that does roadside assistance plans, worst than bad !

Fantastic experience: My car battery died during the worst storm Syracuse has had in years. I had my young daughter with me, and Chris was there within 20 minutes to help replace it. He was quick, kind, and told us to stay inside the closest building while he handled it. I can't thank him enough, he's the best!!!

Negative experience: They did not hold up their end of their contract. Car died and possibly needed a battery replacement. The driver came and did not even have a battery tester with him. Another driver came and didn't have any batteries with him. Had to then tow my car to a mechanic and we had to pay for labor and pay full price for the battery. AAA is supposed to replace the battery and give you a $25 discount on it. I brought this to their attention and Christopher MacNeil (Business Advisor AAA External Operations Team) refused to reimburse for the difference.

We do not guarantee battery testing and service as there are some locations and occasions when we are unable to provide it. In those situations, AAA will either provide a battery boost or a tow to the nearest facility. Negative experience: I called for a jump or possible tow today at 12:30pm. I got a request confirmation but nothing else. After waiting for 2 hours and no updates, I had to spend some time finding a number where I could speak to a person (good thing I wasn't stranded somewhere because it was frigid cold out), I contacted the office of this service provider and they confirmed the person would be gere in half an hour. By 4pm no one had showed. My son had finished eork and stopped over to charge my battery which worked. So I called the office back to cancel. I don't think they could find my request, but the receptonist said they would cancel it. At 7:50om, over 7 hours after I had booked the original request. I get a call from the tow truck. He was in mybdri

Negative experience: I have had a GOLD MEMBERSHIP with AAA for over 7 years. Spanning over roughly 4 vehicles, and i just called to set up a tow for my vehicle to be taken to the garage to be fixed. Well there's no plates on the car right now, i turned them in a day or two ago. I was supposed to go to get new plates this afternoon.. so the woman told me on the phone, " okay what're we doing to the car then" i said " i just need a tow" she goes " okay, we cannot tow the vehicle without plates on it " so i promptly asked her " so i need to go all the way to the DMV to get new plates before you will tow me car, ALTHOUGH I PAID FOR MY GOLD MEMBERSHIP.?!" WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO INCLUDE 4 tows or gas refuelings, new battery purchase, or tires etc. Yet if i dont have plates on my car you wont touch it? I was never made aware of this each year i paid hundreds of dollars for my membership.!

Negative experience: Dont expect good service from a company that fires good workers. My husband worked for AAA as a tow truck driver. I crashed my our vehicle in the summer of 2024 and it was bad enough. We couldnt get a rental car right away, he used the company communication system to call out for lack of transportation. They fired him with no warning whatsoever and then tried to contest his unemployment claim which they lost because they failed to give him any warning. The worst part is that same week that he was fired would have marked six months of him working there which meant they were supposed to give him the damn tow truck to go home with. He wouldnt have missed a day if they had followed their own protocols. They are a joke and I would not waste any money on a company that does not support their communities at all. They are part of the problem in central NY. They had a committed worker that was on the streets every night helping people and when he needed it they fired him when we already had a problem to recover from. I will not forget the summer I needed to go to the food pantry for my family because of corrupt companies like this. No wonder everyone hates corporate america.

Positive experience: I've used their travel agents every year for the past 4 years but I wonder why none of the agents stay. Nancy, Geri, Anna, bypassing untrained Sarah, now working with Robin. Every year I find out my prior agent left and I have to find one I like again.

Negative experience: My neice called triple AAA for me cause there was a problem with mine....i told the woman i wanted scotties towing because ive always had great results with them whenever i had a problem....she told me no and said she was sending custom towing out from fulton....the guy came and was very unprofessional....swearing and after he hooked my car up i handed him my keys to put my car in nuetral to pull it on the flatbed and he said no and pulled it up in park.....i DO NOT recommend that towing company to tow a tonka truck......i was devistated watching my car being pulled up in park....i had them tow it to my car dealetship and called them the next day to let them know what he had done....you should not use this company becuse it will bring your company down....the woman should also listen to the person who is paying for triple AAA as to ehom they want towing their car

Fantastic experience: We called for a battery check last night due to the car not wanting to start. Our service call was an easy process to get started and within 30 minutes our service tech had arrived. Positive experience: I only had to get pictures taken with my vehicle and it took alittle over 30minutes for them to assist me with doing that. It shouldn't be that long when it wS 3 people available to do so. I didn't like that however it was a nice place. They have a luggage collection with a few travel items for purchase that I enjoyed looking at.

Positive experience: I give the rating I did because when I called about a international driving permit no one said that they won't do them more than 6 months before it is needed. I drove over 3 hours one way to be told this when I got there.

Negative experience: I strong recommend if you want to apply for an IDP you should visit in person. I mailed all documents, 20 bucks cash, and a priority return label to them, and I never got them back after almost a month. During the waiting, I called them twice and one said I can’t apply IDP by mail but the other said my IDP was mailed back. I spent 40 bucks including shipping fees and application fee but I still cannot get my IDP. So finally I visited in person, the staff here said they mailed out my IDP but I didn’t see any tracking info. I put a 10 bucks return label in the envelope and they said they didn’t see that. If you go in person, you will get what you want very soon. But if you do it by mail, it will waste you time and money.

Negative experience: Terrible service. Called the DeWitt office to acquire some Canadian funds, which you would think would be pretty simple. Took 5-10 minutes just to talk to a real person, was then put on HOLD and forgotten about. Called a second time and waited 15 minutes to talk to a real person, only to find out they don't provide foreign currency any more. Only a member for 42 years, would expect better. Not like the old days!

Negative experience: At least 15 different people I had to talk with over 2 months time to get a new membership. Incompetent, untrained employees, unprofessional, left hand doesn't know what the right hand does, 3 different prices quoted, AND 3 additional phone calls from Dec. 9 asking where my new card was and I still don't have the card. PLUS...I needed a tow a few days ago but didn't have a card!!!!!!! Terrible service, terrible location, terribly run by a terrible CEO!!!

Fantastic experience: Have used AAA for planning several large vacations, and have had a generally good experience. This was our first time visiting the Dewitt office, we scheduled our appointment online and were seen promptly and the agent we worked with was helpful and followed up with us as discussed. I will update the review if anything changes as we plan our upcoming vacation, but so far we're happy with the service received.

Negative experience: Someone please tell me why I called and this girl answers and asks me the basic questions and tells me I would get a text and the driver would be 45 minutes. I wait. I call the same number again and a different lady answers, I told her my situation and she told me that my order didn’t go through and I have to wait ANOTHER 45 minutes…how does that even happen?¿ so confused about the first girl I called I don’t know if she’s new or mentally insufficient or can’t do her job right but that is totally unacceptable and I had a gut feeling she would mess it up too because she couldn’t even talk right and kept stuttering. Thank god I called back and the second lady helped me out. I hate to complain and be a Karen but cmon now how do you mess up that bad?

Negative experience: Poor customer service and overall under staffed to care about the fine details. My 2pm appointment was overlooked yet the agent assisted a family of walk- ins. The agent didn't seem to care and her supervisor defended her unprofessional moves. This place is going downhill.

Positive experience: Was OK they don't do trip-tics had to have one mailed to them then pick up. Employees were friendly, I got the maps & books I needed.

Negative experience: The lady in the office was not helpful at all and basically pushed me out the door because she wasn't making any money off my small vacation plan so I went home and booked my vacation through Disney.

Negative experience: I asked that they give me a triptik with distination for driving 8 to 10 hours, the triptik just showed the whole trip from Syracuse, NY to Vallejo, CA. The AAA of Vallejo had no problem with this request.

Negative experience: I've had triple A for 10 years this is the worst that it's ever been I couldn't even get anybody on the line for an emergency roadside problem over 20 minutes of trying I even downloaded the app and it did not work I ended up calling a friend to come help me

Negative experience: Kelly in Syracuse called about my membership. Tried calling back. She must have her phone off the hook. Tried for 45 minutes to call her back but got busy signal. Tried another number for AAA. On hold for. 22 minutes. I hung up. Obviously they need more employees on weekends.

Fantastic experience: The only reason I stopped in was to get my international driving permit. They were busy, but surprisingly quick to get the task done. I also looked over some fliers for specials they had on upcoming trips. They have a lot to offer !
