Negative experience: AWFUL! We arrived exhausted after a full day at Universal Studios, looking forward to relaxing. Our exhaustion turned to dismay when we opened the door to a room that clearly hadn't been cleaned. The floors were visibly dirty (unswept/unmopped), and surfaces needed wiping down. We approached the front desk/owner, explained the situation, and had to specifically ask for cleaning supplies as none were offered proactively. We received a broom, rags, and spray, accompanied by the bizarre and unwelcoming comment, "make sure you bring it back when you're done." We then spent a frustrating hour – time we desperately needed for rest – cleaning the hotel's mess and debating what to do. The initial lack of care and the unprofessional attitude were simply too off-putting. We decided to check out and find another hotel. It was only as we were physically checking out that the staff member belatedly suggested moving us to a different room. This offer came far too late; we were already too frustrated and disgusted by the lack of basic hygiene and hospitality to consider staying. A truly disappointing experience.

Negative experience: Worst place to ever stay at save your money and sleep on the curb of the street is wayyy better the guy at night is dangerous and crazy service is very bad place full of drug users its very dangerous and they dont know what respect is or i dont think they ever heard of it DONT GO THERE!!!! Negative experience: Horrible service. The Indian man the front office was completely incompetent. At 2am after I already arrived, I was told they don’t accept Apple Cards and had no reasonable alternatives… absolute waste of time. The place looks horrible and dirty as well. Go somewhere else

Negative experience: Sadly very similar to many on here already. STAY AWAY!! Booked through a third party and when arrived they charged MY card AGAIN for deposit! Room was already paid in full through app and should not have to charge but yes, bank has money withdrawal instead of just using the money that was already applied. When I asked about it. I was talked down to and treated like I was stupid to ask, a very unkind man behind glass had a very rude condescending tone, was not polite at any point of the 3-4 interactions. This is obviously a personally owned location and being lived in by family/friends. So my opinion stay at a nice business that CARES for its customers, one that fills vending machines, opens lobby at night so i dont have to stand outside with the homeless in the street! One that offers parking not on 1/4 spot basis. And has enough towels and blankets for all 4 people staying.

Fantastic experience: Convenient location just around the corner in walking distance to hollywood blvd walk of fame. Staff are very rude AND NO PARKING. Down the street you can pay $30 for overnight parking and walk back to hotel. Also no blankets, no comforters on beds only sheets. Good thing heater worked well. I was too lazy to get up and ask if they had blankets. If they see more people they will charge $15 per person. Overall great stay, clean rooms

Negative experience: False advertisement THIS HOTEL IS NOT 24 HOURS they close from 12 am. to 2 p.m., a hotel that is 24 hours, means the hotel DOSE, NOT CLOSE, old Indian guy was hella rude I saw him yelling at a father and daughter poor customer service this places needs better management, hotel rooms are okay slight stains and chipping paint but room clean and modern

Negative experience: If I could give a zero star I would . Do not make a reservation, and do not even get there service to stay there. We had a reservation done with them on July 20, 2024 so it was already paid for through Expedia . When we got there the guy in the office was trying to charge us 200 for the reservation and another 300 and he didn’t even say why, especially since it was already paid for, at first he was being understanding and said he was gonna process the refund if we contact Expedia which we did, then he started getting mad , and told Expedia he was not gonna get us the refund , he got even more mad, and started to make threats about calling the cops and getting us kick out of the hotel, and we’re talking about not even being able to check in when we had a reservation already done 2 weeks before the arrival date, right now today 2 months later I called the hotel regarding the refund ( spoke with a male employee with an accent ) I have tried to ask to talk to a manager , and the guy in the front desk got mad, coming with attitude over the phone saying to me ( no you could talk to me ) and then continue to hang up the phone . Customer service is so poor, they threat customer like trash . If you don’t wanna loose your money or your time especially coming from another state , tbh don’t waste your time, and if you wanna figure things out just call the office number and ask for the manager you will find out right away the attitude and the problems they have from the very beginning. Just with that alone you will understand the place were your staying at, then on top of that there’s no parking, they will charge you for parking spot and yet give the parking to someone else . And force you to park 10 min walking away, and then they won’t refund you the money, ( and to top it off I recorded the conversation that I had with the gentleman about how he started treating me with calling us the cops and kicking us out of the property even tho we already had reservations done, don’t stay here you will ruin your time and relaxing time

Fantastic experience: Very nice people honest and the hotel was very quiet at night. If you are looking for somewhere convenient to stay, make sure you book with them I had no issues whatsoever rooms were clean and the housekeepers stayed on top of everything. Positive experience: The place is completely mid. The location is best part about it. The rooms look clean but you wa dee if everything’s washed. It’s a cheap hotel for great location. It’s the same as motel 6.

Negative experience: To begin with, they should update their website because they say they have breakfast and they no longer offer it, they say they have parking but they do not specify who is the first comer who has it, they send you to the street to look for parking I had to pay for my parking to all night and the service at reception is very bad, worse when they see you that you are not from the place, they have preferences that hotel I do not recommend it to anyone because from the attention it is very bad at the entrance and exit I paid almost 150 for the hotel including the park outside that it wasn't even worth it.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for 4 nights just last week and I LOVED Every minute of it. The room is spacious & the beds are HUGE. The room also had a microwave, fridge, iron, ironing board & hairdryer so you cant go wrong. I chose this location because of its closeness to the WOF in one direction, the freeway in the other & the Hollywood Bowl is a $8 Uber away. Across the road is a supermarket, liquor store, barber shop, Subway, Chinese, Indian, Thai & Italian takeaways so everything you need is all seconds away. I'm reading peoples complaints that there is no food served or coffee machines and suchlike but its not really that kind of place, You can quite clearly see from the photos when booking that its more of a motel style setting than a hotel so i wouldn't pay too much attention to them reviews. On this trip i also stayed in New York & Las Vegas and the Legend Hotel was my favourite place from all three stops. I would most definitely stay here again.

Fantastic experience: We love this hotel. it was cheap and convenient. Very clean and very comfy beds and pillows. We didn't have a parking but the owner let us park in an area he had available. Very kind and nice sir. Other hotels $521 to 550. This hotel only $180. Thank you sir. next time im gonna make my reservation with you. Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this quaint boutique hotel! It was extremely clean with very good customer service. The check in process was very easy. I was thankful that the property offered parking! My stay here was very comfortable and clean. It is walking distance to the walk of fame and the Chinese theatre. It is also a few minutes drive to the Universal Studio, Griffith Observatory and Beverly Hills. It is in a perfect location to experience true Hollywood! I would give 10/10 stars if I could! Negative experience: I didn’t stay here or recommend anyone to stay here. I actually live nearby for college but I was looking for a job not too long ago and I saw a sign at this hotel that they needed people who could clean the rooms. I went to the front desk which no one was there and when I knocked on the door, the employee had looked frustrated and pointed to the window to talk to him. I asked him if they were hiring since the sign was up and I was willing to put my time in to help, and he told me,”No”, and walked away and when I tried to tell him about the sign he ignored me. I do not recommend this place to any who want to work here or stay here.

Negative experience: I hope anyone reading this is put off enough to not stay here. I am not a fussy person and the actual hotel itself is okay for the price. However my 200$ bond was never returned. Upon reading many other reviews this was not a one off situation and many people have been scammed the same way. I have tried countless times to contact them to resolve this with no avail. Only an auto response on my last review saying it would be sorted. Don’t ever stay here and support this thieving behaviour. There isn’t even an email address to contact, seems strange doesn’t it .

Negative experience: I would leave 0 stars if possible. The manager is rude. The rooms are gross. I left early and forfeited my room and my refund because I couldn’t stand the stains everywhere and just grossness.

Positive experience: So the property is located in basically in the heart of Hollywood which is a little sketchy and not the cleanest. The rooms were nice, as well as the bed but this is where that saying, “you get what you pay for” comes in to play. If it weren’t for the limited parking, the hot water and tv remote not working this would be a great place for the price. Tip: if there is no available parking there is a public parking lot a little further south pass CVS that has overnight parking.

Negative experience: We did Not like anything at this hotel. Horrible location and Tweekers EVERYWHERE..You will not get any sleep and THE WORST PART IS THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF.. Negative experience: Not so great place. We selected this place just because it’s near walk of fame. No breakfast served. No coffee machine inside room was bit disappointment. Place did not look safe. Few lights were not working in the room. Tv worked for first day but refused to work second day morning. Telephone does not work so you got to step out and talk to receptionists. I wish I had selected some other hotel by paying few tens $ extra. AC and hot water worked for us. We were lucky to get parking. Parking lot is small and you need to plan accordingly if you are planning to reach late. Internet speed is very low. We saw one suspicious homeless person on our floor. I wanted to check with reception but phone did not work. I suggest family should book some other hotel.

Negative experience: I arrived to check in today and come to find out they do not have parking for me. The parking lot is super small. They wouldn’t allow me to cancel my reservation. The clerk directed me to find a public parking lot somewhere. The area looked sketchy and unsafe for a solo female. I expressed my frustration to the clerk and he just laughed in my face. I left and allowed them to keep the money. Please do not stay at this establishment

Negative experience: Please beware! These guys are actual scammers and thieves. When they will check you in they will charge you an extra 200 as a "deposit" but when you check out they will not give it back to you claiming they have already released the deposit whereas the credit card company told me they haven't and when I called them again to see what's going on they had already blocked my number. Edit: Replying to the manager's response: This is definitely not an uncommon occurrence and yelp reviews are full of this sort of fraud administered at this place, exactly the same amount and the same set of tactics, which shows this is not an isolated event. If you're truly sincere in your investigation, refund my money back by the end of this week and I will update this review. Otherwise stop with your hollow "investigation promises"!

Negative experience: Okay look I usually don’t do reviews for hotels but I had high expectations for this hotel due its decor and area. Me and my partner stayed for 1 night and for 1 night it’s okay I suppose but the service and room were horrible! I don’t know the guys name from the front desk but he was really impatient and rude, woke up on the wrong side of the bed perhaps? I have no idea what was going on in the rooms but our room was a mess. Broken lights, hair inside the bathtub and our sink, dirty unsweeped floors. VERY and I mean VERY dirty sheets, so dirty they even had hairs from the previous visitors and believe they were hairs from areas I do not want to describe. Overall I rate it a 2. I honestly do not recommend staying here due to my experience here.

Fantastic experience: There is nothing wrong with this budget hotel. It's easy to see that the negative reviews are being staged by this establishment's competitors and isn't indicative at all to The Legend Hotel's true cleanliness and/or management's customer service professionalism. To find a location as this one and it's 5 minute in proximity walk to Hollywood Boulevard for in most cases less than $100 is virtually unheard of. I can say with the utmost confidence and assurance that I recommend this hotel over all other budget hotels within the Hollywood area.

Negative experience: This hotel is disgusting. The pictures the property posts are extremely deceptive. Within 15 minutes of my arrival a huge roach runs from underneath the bed. Maybe 20 minutes later another came from under the bed. I killed both. Pics attached. The bedding had stains, the towels had stains, the shower was covered in mildew, and the toilet handle was broken. I showed my pictures to the front desk and he could care less. Was unwilling to provide refund. I left a few hours after checking in. I refuse to sleep in a dirty bed, reach infested hotel.

Positive experience: I lost my wallet during My last visit to LA on August 9th., and havent been able to process a new ID drivers license yet because of pandemic and I was mugged my last time here because I was denied entry into La Brea inn for an unexpected extra day emergency stay in LA I didnt have my cashapp card which was lost as well as my ID the only identification I had was a picture ID I used for my Medicaid and a virtual. Credit card on my cash app on my phone. I booked a stay at 4 other different hotels tilt. Quality Inn, best western on hiland Blvd and was denied entry into each one. Because I didnt have cash one being just 20 dollars at the cheepest pace i found Lebrae. Inn. To beg to give me a min to get in room first ans charge phone this way I can figure out how to take my money out of cashapp and pay the incidental fee. I had $1921.00 on my cashapp and explained my situation and showed them. All 4 hotels denied my entry and charged my stay as if I stayed at each one anyway.over 1000 dollars spent on stays I was denied check in. And showed the door. I had to walk with all my belongings in rhe streets at a late hour where I was hit in the back of the head which I dont remember happenning or 5hrs after as my goggle history shows me waking aimlessly because I suffered a concussion my inability to report it or look for answers didnt dawn on me until days later.I just wanted to go home and didnt know why I was in LA and not in NYC. As a result of the attack aftermaths of health situations began to happen. My left hand started to swell then. It healed when I was about to admit myself but then I began feeling a sharp pain in the upper middle section of my back right behind the location of my heart with pain in the front part of my chest... same side... and I couldn't breathe properly my breathing became strained like I couldn't Get enough air to breath with knot my lungs.i walk well I ended up in cardiovascular intensive care unit for over a week. My heart was pumping blood at 18%.to the normal 60%.. I was robbed of everything not only in the street but also by those hotels that could not give a helping chance to someone in an emergency situation. This hotel is like those. 5 stars on cleanliness and location.

Negative experience: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Was planning to stay here as a budget hotel and they had promised free parking (first come first serve) when I had booked a month in advanced and even brought my concern to them that I am afraid the policy for free parking may change and they had promised me that that will not happen. When I call a week before my booking they tell me that the policy has changed and they cannot do nothing about it. They are definitely GREEDY and do not keep their word. Untrustworthy employees. Cancelled as soon as I experienced this. Payed even more money than what they had charged me for another hotel with a lot better staff. Completely worth it than booking with this hotel. This hotel is a joke.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They will not provide any cancellation prove after canceling, then they refuse to give back the copies they made of the Credit card and ID. The guy at the from desk just keeps ignoring us for 55 minutes straight and the guy named Alis or something refusing to even talk to us. Thats the worst hotel experience I’ve had in my whole life and god i have been in so many hotels in my whole life but this front desk guy is literally sitying there screaming at us and refuses to help us. Edit: Been 2 hours at this point and this front desk guy keeps ignoring us and refuses to provide a receipt nor the copies of he made of my credit card and even after telling hil he can keep the money we just want a receipt or a cancellation form to avoid any cancellation charges and he just refuses to assist nor even talk to us. He’s just watching tv and playing with his phone.

Negative experience: Incredibly insensitive towards my plight with booking a late check in for one night only after a long arduous flight experience only for their nigt attendant to inform me of a $200 DEPOSIT last minute upon checking in which I did not clearly see on my itinerary THEN telling me their cancellation policy implies no refunds! Negative experience: The staff at this location is extremely rude. Parking is horrible and there is not enough spots for the rooms being rented. They do not tell you this if booking online so beware there is a $25 charge just to park. Additionally even if you are willing to pay the $25 charge there is not enough spaces for you to park. The theme is pretty cool and the paintings are nice along the wall as well as the color scheme, but this is an older hotel with very basic items on par with the Motel 6. You will hear a noise from neighbors coming in late at night, the beds are very basic, no Hollywood glamour here...

Positive experience: Great location, right across Panda Express and CVS. Steps away from Hollywood strip and night life. Parking here is $20 a night which is a downside and the management Mr Mosby looking headass Rafi was rude upon checking in. Staff weren’t friendly or helpful at all. Rooms were clean and air conditioned. Bathroom kind of small. Overall, probably won’t ever stay here again.

Negative experience: One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at before. Most items were dirty from previous guests such as bed sheets, toilet seat, dressers, and sink. Additionally, mattress was squeaky and uncomfortable. Wifi connection was terrible and tv didn’t have many channels. Breakfast did not look appetizing, there was brown bananas, rotten apples, and no brewed coffee. Noise was also an issue as everything outside ur door can be heard loud and clearly as well as out the window. Bathroom was not well done and there was no mirror inside the bathroom. Unfriendly workers and room was obviously not cleaned from previous people with other people’s hair on the bed and sink. Overall, expensive for a bad quality hotel and expensive parking. Not a recommendation for a hotel in Los Angeles.

Negative experience: The staff was not helpful they were very rude. The parking is not free and there is no where to park your vehicle because parking is limited. When you reserve this is something they should tell you in advance and they do not, nor do they provide information as to where you can park. How can a hotel with 25 rooms only have enough parking for half the rooms available. Very unacceptable.

Positive experience: I haven't stayed here myself so I can't say from my own personal experience, but I have spoke to a family that stayed here on vacation and they said it was significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area but it is a cheap hotel, so just don't expected to be nice. But if you're looking for a deal, this is the place.

Positive experience: Great location, near a CVS and other convenient establishments. Clean and a lot nicer than I imagined it would be. Overall, great price for the stay. The only con: it's near a busy street where it gets some traffic from people and cars, so the noise may be a issue for some.

Negative experience: Rooms are small and updated but still felt old. We had double beds that felt like they barley fit. The manager was odd and asked for cash for parking immediately after charging our card for the room instead of asking if we wanted to charge parking with our room. The location is amazing and in the heart of everything. We walked to the Pantages theater and it was about a ten minute walk. We haven't made it to breakfast yet but it looks to be a pretty basic continental breakfast.

Positive experience: Noisy. You can hear everything. Coughing from people next door, traffic from the road is rough. Rooms are clean.

Positive experience: Legend Hotel Hollywood is a quaint hotel located at the intersection of N Cahuenga Boulevard and Yucca Street. It's technically a motel with the word "Hotel" in it's name. I like this place because three stores which I visit quite frequently not only walking distance but directly across the street. 7-11 is next door. Panda Express is across the street. And a 24 hour CVS is adjacent to Panda Express. The rooms in the motel are decorated with memorabilia featuring such stars ad Charlie Chaplin, & Uta Hagen. Beds are comfortable, rooms are similar to Motel 6 but a notch higher in decor. Everything else in the room as far as configuration is pretty much the same. Continental breakfast in the lobby.
Negative experience: Great place!!! As Long as you got your own Plumbing before you show up!! Careful of the loose needles hanging around. Also the $20 parking is limited so you might pay for a spot that isn't available! Other than that coffee is great! And the guest and staff were nice.
Negative experience: They keep unsecured customers information. Including a photocopy of your licence and credit card. When I asked him what they did with them he said they were filed for 3 years. in the morning I witness the front desk clerk looking at last night's photocopys if these people aren't selling identites then they are just cheap because for 200+ a night this information should be encrypted. the clerk says it's been this way for 15 years, probably time to upgrade security. Cancelling cards today thanks for nothing
Negative experience: The rooms are nice but the bed and sheets have unpleasant odor to them. There is a parking fee of $20 for EACH vehicle and space is limited. The parking lot and entrance are very tight in space so they don't allow trucks and suvs in the motel parking lot. They make you park down the street in a public parking lot. There should be a sign before the entrance stating that trucks and suvs should not enter due to the tight space. It would make things easier and help prevent accidents from happening.

Fantastic experience: Modern , very clean and comfortable , room decoration is beyond expectations.. ! Right off the Hollywood walk of fame, close to everything with excellent staff .
Positive experience: Very nice rooms but this place did not have enough parking for their guest. On top not that, they charge $20 for everyday you stay to park your car. Even if you don't get a spot, you can still park on the property but you still have to pay. Free breakfast is just cereal, yogurt, danish.

Positive experience: Everything was good except our wifi would not work at the end of the row of 1sr floor rooms in room 109. Wife was really unhappy about that with not being able to connect unless we were sitting in the vehicle closer to the lobby
