Negative experience: Just not what AAA used to be. Wait on hold for 30/45 minutes for anyone to pick up. And I have been waiting over 4 hours for a tow. No updates, no ETA, and if I call back I have to hold for another 20 minutes.
I apologize for the wait with receiving road service. With the extreme cold, our service call volume is especially high, which leads to longer wait times. Therefore, it can also take longer to receive ETA updates as our network of providers process their existing calls. At times, they are unable to give an ETA until they are en route. Whenever possible, we encourage members to use the AAA mobile app to request road service, as it allows you track the service in real time. Negative experience: I have called 5 times this morning trying to talk to a live agent. On hold for over an hour. Pathetic customer service.

Negative experience: I have had a billing problem .That i have been trying to get taken care of. I call and call they promise to get back to me. I realize its a simple problem. However im tired of the way its being handled . Aftear all this. I will decide if i want to renew , What is the correct number when you have a concern. Fantastic experience: Dead battery. Came out within 30 minutes. Jason did a great job. I realized, after he left, I needed the battery. It had a 100 month warranty but only lasted 36 months. Went to AAA for help, it took them a day to track it down. They located the battery and I was able to return it to the dealership. Thank you.
Negative experience: I bought my battery from AAA when I went to get my vehicle winterize my mechanic recommended I replace the battery. I said I will just contact AAA it's still under warranty. AAA said my battery has to be completely dead for them to replace it. I said so by me driving to your location you will not replace the battery, but for the battery to go completely dead and you have to come to my location and use one of my roadside services to replace the battery gets taken away! That's grimmy.. I might as well go to AutoZone to replace the battery what a way to get over on your members..

Negative experience: Complaint about AAA white pick up truck service vehicle,12/2/24 around 12 noon today your service truck with a orange cone on the front was tailgating me on Stoney Battery Rd,was far behind me then came up fast and got close behind me and stayed close to me from the Turkey Hill Minute Market up to Rt 23 then followed me to Estelle Drive and turned there,was going to go to the office and complain but didnt want to confront the driver. Was a short guy could hardly see him in the truck,just his head was visible. Traffic and driving is bad enough,then a AAA vehicle tailgates you,made me nervous. This is the second time one of your trucks tailgated me,wasnt too long ago.I was doing the speed limit like all the other cars,not slow or fast. Maybe someone should have a talk with that driver.Next time I will come to the office and make a complaint,or tell the police. Fantastic experience: I am not a member of AAA but Saturday my neighbor who is a member needed AAA to come to her rescue. The call was placed I'm going to guess at about 3:15pm. Not sure who she ended up talking to on the first call. But she was told a tech would be out in approx 2 hours. She was sent a link and could watch the techs progress. The time was extended a few times. Now the weather was on 30 degrees and windy. She is elderly and she is handicapped. She became upset as the times were pushed back. She made another call when it came to the point they were not coming to 7pm. The dispatcher she was connected to had no empathy or concern for her in the conversation. It was a shame. Well finally Colin showed up. It was a bit before 730pm.. now I was already saying I would never subscribe/join AAA. The service was pathetic and no warm experience. But Colin showed up. Very kind, empathetic, professional and just a blessing. This is how AAA should be represented. Not like the dispatcher that I could hear the entire conversation with.. Colin tested some things and then explained she needed a battery. She agreed and he quickly replaced the battery. Explained everything to her and acted professional and was simply an asset to AAA. By 830pm we followed her home to ensure she could get home safely. Because of Colin, the battery tech on call I would highly recommend AAA. The process of getting him dispatched was terrible but he was amazing and made up for the non caring dispatcher . Negative experience: Short story: 13 year member, rarely ever used service, finally had a battery replacement, battery died within 6 months, AAA wouldn't provide a free replacement though it is their guarantee. Instead of supporting their members, they chose to lose 8 members over the price of a battery. The customer service in response to that incident has been wretched and cancelling has been nearly impossible. Long story: AAA is a "national" "members" service club. On a drive from Texas to Pennsylvania, our car battery died. AAA dispatched a driver to the Texarkana area, and that driver provided us a battery to continue our trip. Within six months, that same battery died in Philadelphia, Pa. When the technician attempted to assist in Philadelphia, they would not service under warranty because I was the original serviced member, and I am in Lancaster, PA. We now have three clubs involved: Texarkana, Central PA, and Philadelphia. And NONE of them would work with each other. They all had different systems, none had the receipts of work, I had to call and go-between all three, and inevitably, when I got a Membership Manager at Central, PA, he was so eager and so willing to help me in my upsetting story up until the point that he heard that the technician who was out to service the battery was in Philadelphia. As soon as he heard another club was involved, he said his hands are tied, and he could not assist us. We would have to pay for the battery. FOR A NATIONAL MEMBERS SERVICE CLUB. I wasn't in Canada asking for a warranty on a product delivered in Mexico. I was in Pennsylvania asking for a warranty on a service produced in Texas. But, no, what I learned is that the AAA service guarantee is just a lie. Sure, they can get a certified mom-and-pop rep out to help you in the middle of the night, but they are not actually a national service center. They don't have a central CRM. They don't have central call numbers. They don't have anything that practically services a customer who is traveling the country. Now, since this SNAFU really pissed me and my family off, 8 of us have all opted to cancel our memberships. However, I did not want to back down: AAA is saying they won't refund me a prorated fee for the amount of time I won't use. I think it's ridiculous. Their terms state that you get 30 days from renewal to cancel for a refund. A refund on services not provided? That's why they're a MEMBERS CLUB! They can say that your participation in the club IS your service. You're not paying for services or actual work, you're paying to be in the "cool kids club" and it's a sham. I've dumped AAA, I will tell anyone else to dump them, and I will not return. Sorry, but if you're a members club, then treat the member right the first time. Every time.

Your poor service experience is certainly not what we expect to happen, regardless of a member's location in the United States or Canada (which is serviced by CAA, our Canadian counterpart ).

There is clearly some level of disconnect between what services were rendered and what services should be expected in order to assist a member in an already difficult situation. We recently updated our phone system to an AI-based system that asks for more information in order to direct your call to proper department. The AI program is still learning, so it is possible that your call was misrouted to them instead of the local branch. The Support Center team has a high call volume at times, as they also handle our roadside service calls. Negative experience: I have been a AAA member for 30 years and in the past have had excellent roadside assistance service for a flat tire and low battery. Today I called for roadside assistance for a flat tire on my Ford truck which was in a parking lot. Upon arrival, the serviceman asked if I had tools to release the tire from its compartment. I said “no” and he walked to his truck and got his own tools. He then informed me that the spare was flat and that he didn’t have a working air compressor. I asked if he could take the tire to a nearby Sheetz and he said that he didn’t want to do that. In the meantime, he was unable to jack up the truck to change the tire. He reluctantly took the tire to get air and told me upon return that he saw his boss at the Sheetz who told him that he shouldn’t be doing that. His response was “I’m doing it as a favor. My air compressor doesn’t work.” His boss said, “Still?” (The serviceman reported this to me.) What kind of tire service company doesn’t have a jack that can be used for a tire change or an air compressor that doesn’t work?!? He then told me to call Triple A and have my truck towed. Bottom line: I called my husband (who was sick in bed) and he came and used the jack that was in the truck to change the tire. I had reported to the serviceman that the jack was in the truck and he said that his jack was better. I suggest that Triple A find better companies than Mack’s Tire Service in New Holland or I will not be renewing my membership. This is just shoddy service all the way around.

I suspect that the initial refusal to inflate the spare at Sheetz may have been due to a liability concern with using third-party equipment, but our Automotive Services team would be able to confirm. Fantastic experience: I worked with Calvin on a 2 day trip to New York City. He was courteous and very knowledgeable about NYC. His planning, recommendations, hotel and parking reservations, PATH train instructions, printed walking instructions, restaurant recommendations made our trip very enjoyable and easy! Negative experience: I waited for 5 hours and AAA never showed. I ran out of gas the third hour and it was 23 degrees outside. A stranger eventually helped me. AAA is worthless. Do a search, better companies doing the same thing exist, are hungry and give good service.

Negative experience: If you have RV insurance and break down in central PA, AAA will not tow. they will waste several hours of your time not explaining this. if you have RV northeast roadside assistance, be aware it does not function everywhere

Negative experience: Usually good here but today was not one of them. 3 employees together laughing and talking together VERY loudly. We were the only customers. We waited and walked through the entire showroom and then stood and looked at them. The receptionist had to tell them we were waiting for service. As we were being serviced, one employee continued to talk to our agent. Not a professional experience. Kudos to the receptionist!

Negative experience: I have no problem with the local office, but since we can’t call the local office directly anymore, the guy who answered the phone (from where???) treated me so disrespectfully (I consider lying disrespectful, But it was more than his lying, it was his attitude) I will look for another place to Buy roadside service, although I’ve been an AAA member for nearly 50 years; when this year is out I’m done with AAA. I would’ve put no stars, but can’t post without putting something on their stars, they don’t deserve it.

Our branch specialists can assist with some walk-in travel services, such as domestic car & hotel reservations and driving trips. Other services, such as cruises, flight arrangements, and international travel, are handled by our reservation specialists & travel advisors.

To fill the gap, our reservation specialists are available for in-person assistance on certain days. Fantastic experience: Came home from vacation and the battery was dead in my car... Called AAA on a Sunday and Jason showed up in less then 30 minutes. He checked out my battery and said, "start your car." He was there less than 5 minutes and my car started right up. Very professional, understanding and got the job done. Negative experience: Be warned, this club is not accurately knowledgeable when it comes to PA & federal laws for insurance, passports, vehicle laws, vehicle procedures and more. This is the second time this has happened to me in the last 7 years where the lack of knowledge of the tellers & branch manager caused myself and my daughter to lose 3 half days of work. All we got for our trouble was $12 of paperwork removed from our bill. Not even an apology or we shouldn't have done that. We'll AAA it wasn't our fault but squarely rests on your shoulders! I'm dropping my overpriced membership and going to Brimmer or Carolyn's next time. It would have been cheaper and with no aggravation. No AAA!

Negative experience: Worst experience EVER with AAA. Talked with John multiple times and he said the closest place they have (or actually closest place willing to take their low reimbursement as I found out later) was an hour away and would be between 90 and 120 that was an optionminutes. It was 2 hours and 20 minutes! The tow truck operator said he just got the call 45 minutes ago!! Save your money and pick another roadside assistance company, there are plenty of them. This company is worthless!!! Would give no stars if that was an option!!!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever, not friendly or helpful. Agent was eating while helping me. He asked twice what hotel. Said he couldn't add a meal package because they don't offer one. Not true. He didn't smile say hello or thank you. Poor customer service 2 other customers said they were very disappointed in service. What a shame.

Fantastic experience: So thankful I've got AAA. I've been a member for 40 years. I recently visited the office for notary work ($2 per stamp). The notary was friendly and professional. The office is conveniently located right off of route 30. Lots of off-street parking. I was greeted by reception as soon as I walked in the door. It's a clean office with several areas of service - travel, insurance and general auto needs. Today my Jeep broke down in 15° weather. Negative experience: I've been waiting since May to get compensation for a tow. It's now September and still NOTHING! BEWARE! THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT REPUTABLE! STILL WAITING! I called them to resolve the issue with our tow. Still haven't been compensated one red cent. After many phone calls trying to resolve things I received NOTHING. However I did receive the runaround having spoken with several people who obviously couldn't care less. Calls not being returned, people who have to be contacted with out any follow-through, me being "required" to get multiple recipients...........ALL FOR NOTHING! BEWARE, BE SMART AND AVOID THIS SCAM OUTFIT!

Negative experience: Been trying to get through for 3 days to find out about a cruise. They close at 3, so how do working people get any information. Even during business hours, I am on hold and cannot speak with a live person.
Negative experience: I took a driving class and they were not communicating about the times and blames me for being late after I had been there a half hour before and it had closed.

Fantastic experience: Me and my mom had a great experience with AAA. We just came back from a trip and found out that the battery died. So we called them and they had one of there workers come out and get a new battery for us. It was real quick and easy. When we called we didn't have to hold for long at all!

Negative experience: So I had a breakdown on Rt 81 in WV so I called AAA to get a tow truck. This is why I had bought AAA membership to help me if I break down. Their response was "we cannot get help to you at this time, you will need to find your own tow truck". Here I am sitting on the side of I81, within 20 miles of a major city and they refuse to help me?? This is organization is a fraud and ripoff. DO NOT GO NEAR THEM. You're better off fending for yourself because they'll never help. All they want is your money. But they don't give you what they promised. Shysters of the highest degree

Fantastic experience: Really liked it. Took an updated driving course, without driving!!! To keep us seniors "in the loop." Of any law changes, etc. Specially with all the changes in new cars. I dont know who owns a new car, but it is not me. When I was learning to drive, you were taught to have your hands at 10 & 2. (And do the hand over hand, to make a turn). Now its 9 & 3,??? And to make a turn, you bring your one hand, up to the middle, the the other hand comes up and then takes it from there. (I'm still working on that one!!) Do you know the Yield Sign is now red (changed in 1974) Must of missed that one. The driving course is another 4 hrs, later on. I learned a lot!!! It was interesting, and I dont know everything, like I thought!!!☺
