Fantastic experience: I have booked several vacations with Jodee Bosen and everything has been perfect. She is very easy to deal with, gives you lots of options and prices, and picks the absolute best places. Every vacation we have been on with her has been such a great experience. Fantastic experience: Five ⭐s to Linda Wangsgaard of Morris Columbus Travel in Bountiful for putting together an amazing cruise for us on Norwegian Viva out of Venice, Italy to Greece. AND THEN WHEN THE FIRST FLIGHT OF THE ITINERARY TO GET US TO VENICE WAS DIVERTED CAUSING A DOMINO EFFECT THAT RESULTED IN THE ENTIRE TRIP TO BE UNEXPECTEDLY HAULTED......she personally graciously guided us through filing the insurance claim for a 100% refund. (She is the one who encouraged us to purchase the travel insurance protection in the first place!) Then she scanned ALL the required documents into one email for me to forward to the insurance agency. You better bet we will return to her when we rebook a future replacement trip!!!

Negative experience: After giving us misinformation on a trip to Hawaii. Nightmare trip 20 hours in airports and had 5 hours in hotel. We were back home. Only offered credits for new trip. Been trying to rebook a trip and 5 days on the phone getting run around about our travel credits. It's all been one reason after another why we can't go this day or that day. I will never use Columbus Travel or deal with Funjet vacation ever again

Fantastic experience: Linda Jensen, travel consultant was very professional and friendly while checking on our family's travel plans.

Negative experience: Do NOT use this agency. They do not care to help you. We have had nothing but issues with them and when trying to get resolution, their answer is that it's not their fault and the customer is always wrong. Among the many different issues I've had, my favorite parts are their VP telling me that how I feel is "wrong", it is not uncommon for them to have to wait 8+ hours to speak to someone at Royal Caribbean (then why would you ever recommend that line?), and my ultimate favorite that I need to contact the cruise line to get my issue resolved even though I already told them that the cruise line wont talk to me because I "have" a travel agent (so basically, I get to call Royal Caribbean so that they can tell me to have my travel agent call who will then tell me to contact them myself so that I can go through this cycle endlessly. There are countless choices available to you, don't make the same mistake my family did!

Negative experience: Our travel agent basically only booked our cruise and that was the extent of it and even that was wrong because of DOB given to the cruiseline. No recommendations on anything. No contact before cruise was coming up and making sure we had tests or vaccines. I guess we are just use to an agent who cares and gives us what they know. I could have just booked the cruise online and would have had i known it would have been like it was. Our cruise was amazing and that is the main goal but I wont use Columbus travel again.

Negative experience: Our agent was horrible. We had to cancel our cruise due to covid and our agent got real attitude when we didn't rebook.

Negative experience: Avoid yourself a nightmare by using this company. Rented a 5 bedroom with private pool Disney Deluxe House with them, reconfirmed reservation from a month prior to arrival to a week prior to 72 hrs before check in and house turned out to be one word: DISGUSTING. The worse part is they left my family and I stranded without house because they would’t answer or return the phone calls. My family and I ended up staying in a hotel for the first night and luckily found a different house with another company but only to check in a day after. We had to pay way more money to book another property last minute + pay for the hotel stay. The house confirmed by Columbia Vacations was extremely dirty to an unhealthy point condition. It’s being almost two weeks and they haven’t refund our money back. Simply unacceptable service... run away from this company, RUN!!!

Positive experience: Just browsed around their website. Would like a bit more options in the search because i have kids and when looking at cruises, i need to figure out how many rooms I'll need or how many fit in what suites. Also called in and talked to a travel agent. Very friendly with helpful insights. A little pricey but that's the point of a service... they'll do all the work!

We worked with Julie Sterling and she was amazing, very responsive, and she found us the most affordable and fun trip we could find. I would recommend planning a trip through them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Recenly and amid this pandemic my wife and I decided to take a trip to Cancun. The service could not have been better. The agent communicated in a prompt and timely manner. From start to finish our agent was a professional. They kept us informed about all that would happen in the country with COVID testing and made it all very seemless. I would use them again no doubt about it.

Fantastic experience: Our extended family just booked a trip to Disney World with John Potter. I’m not normally one to race to write a review, but we had such a good experience I felt that it was worth the time. John met with my sister and I in their office and we hashed out details which on our part we’re slightly murky at that point because we didn’t know what we wanted or what we were doing. He gave us quotes for all 5 rooms and then proceeded to give restaurant, entertainment, and just overall experience recommendations for Disney World. None of us are super familiar with the parks, so this was incredibly valuable. He answered every question we had and was super patient and friendly. We went home, went over the details with the family, and then called/emailed John individually when we were ready to book. John was quick with returning/taking calls and we all were booked the day we contacted him to pull the trigger and book. We haven’t gone on the trip yet, but the ease of the planning could not have been better. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I booked a trip to Mexico through Columbus and are incredibly happy with the service and ease of of the process. Our agent was very receptive to our budget and gave us so many options to choose from while also offering his expertise to help us zero in on a hotel in Puerto Villarta. Communication was prompt and we felt very well taken care of. The trip did not disappoint! The hotel was beautiful, food was great, and the experience was one that was sorely needed right now. We will absolutely be using Columbus Travel again and will recommend them to everyone we know.

Negative experience: I have been leaving voice messages and have been emailing this Travel agency all week as I am traveling soon with a large group of people and I have questions that need to be answered in a timely manner. 4 days and several messages later and no return call. We travel in a large group (80 plus) every year and this is the first time using Columbus Travel and I really hope it's the last.

Negative experience: Actual pricing on line wasn't even close to tv ad.

Fantastic experience: The people are welcoming when one walks in the door. I asked a few questions about a canceled trip. John Potter answered with a very upbeat voice about the future of traveling again soon. I really enjoy listening to Columbus Vacations travel show on Saturdays. Therefore, it was enjoyable to visit for the first time, their Bountiful location.

Negative experience: Booked a cruise, helpful, friendly. Due to the covid situation, the cruise was cancelled. Understandably, they were very busy during the cancellation process. But , follow-up calls 1 month, 6 weeks, 2 months later, have not been returned. Still no refund yet on the cruise or the insurance either. Is a call back too much to ask? An update on my refund?

Negative experience: I called the first part of November looking for information and help planning a trip. We have used them twice before and have had very good luck. This time however, I gave a general idea of what we were looking for, some places we wanted to visit in the country we selected for our trip, and a period of time we would be able to go, and the man I spoke to said he would get back to me in a week. I never heard anything. I called again two weeks later and talked to him again, asking for him to find flights so we could narrow our date options down and I wanted suggestions on hotels. I was a bit frustrated as I could tell he had not looked into our trip from our first phone call. l emailed him the next day and gave some ideas on hotels that I had heard of and wanted his input and suggestions. I never heard a word back. Three weeks later, after still not hearing a word, I called Morris Murdock Travel in Draper and within an hour they had flights for me to choose from and had information on the hotels that I was showing interest in. Within a few days, my trip was completely booked with Morris. Still haven’t heard back from Columbus. I’m not sure why, unless they are so busy they can’t keep up or don’t need the business.

She has always given me First class service and great deals on the vacations that I have booked. The packages that she has put together for me include a Cruise, an All Inclusive Beach vacation to Jamaica, a 2 week multi city tour of Italy and most recently a long weekend getaway to San Diego. A lot of people ask me why I use a Travel agent instead of booking trips myself, and to me, the answer is simple "They are the professionals". I'm a busy professional myself with a busy family and I don't have the expertise nor the time to do all of the research for the best deals, flights, hotels etc. Columbus Travel has been in business for several years and there's a reason for that, they are good at what they do! Thank you so much for always going above and beyond my expectations Elaine. Get ready to start working your magic again, my next adventure is 2 weeks on the Island of Sicily.

Fantastic experience: We have worked with Elaine on 2 big family trips, both have gone very well. She was able to conduct all the travel schedules and connections for all our parties. Communication was best for us through email, though there were plenty of phone calls between all of the families she was working with just in our group. It's been a good experience for us even though I see others have had trouble we had some very successful trips and created great family memories through Elaine and Columbus travel. One cruise vacation all inclusive set up and one flights and car rental vacation for 20+ people.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I worked with Linda Wangsgaard to put together our honeymoon package (to Cabo) and everything was perfect!! Having the Amstar transportation to/from the hotel was super convenient. We ended up using Amstar for our excursions while we were in Cabo (Pacific Dinner Cruise and Ziplining at Wild Canyon) and they did a fantastic job getting us around. We'd highly recommend them for getting around Cabo! Last but not least, the Secrets resort was very nice. With it being on the other side of Cabo (San Josè Del Cabo), we both got to see a new part of Cabo we hadn't seen before while enjoying a more relaxed adult crowd with no kids. Couldn't thank Columbus Travel enough for putting together our special week!

She did all the leg work, was super helpful and knowledgeable, and found us exactly what we wanted. She followed up with everything and had everything organized for us. It was super easy and exceeded all our expectations. Our vacation was excellent. She will be our go to for all of our future vacation plans. I would highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: We worked with Linda to plan our trip to Maui in early May. She did a terrific job advising us on the best plan and she incorporated our desires into the trip. We had a wonderful time, her personal touch of sharing our anniversary as part of the reservations, made for some pleasant surprises at the wonderful Hyatt resort. This was no small feat as There were 13 of us with Kids ranging in age from 2 to 15. She identified the perfect resort with something for all ages. Negative experience: We booked a cruise 6 months ago. I have received minimal information other than a confirmation. I usually can't even get a call answered or returned. All cruise information has been from self research. Horrible service, I will not use Columbus again!!

Negative experience: If it was not for a group cruise which is why this company is who I have to go through I would have taken my business somewhere else A LONG TIME AGO. Calling my agent weekly to return calls, no returned calls. Asking for flight, drink packages, hotel recommendations, no calls back. When you finally get to a 'supervisor' you will get an apology and the grandest prize, someone else to deal with who is enthusiastic. They do not care about the needs of people attempting to book a happy time. I have yet after 4 months to even see a print out of the amount owing... seems suspicious, and to take credit card information, not charge the card and forget to call me back, worries me about just where exactly my credit card information is saved. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!!

Instead of driving 9 hours to Denver and no guarantee from the government passport agency that we could receive a new passport in time, we only had a 3 hour drive to Salt Lake City and got her new passport in TWO days! Totally saved our vacation! Awesome service!

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Columbus Travel! Jane McBride, our travel agent went out of her way to ensure we had all of our expectations met. Jane would send us reminders to complete forms we needed to get done. She updated us on any info and opportunities, and she responded in a timely manner. When the airline changed our return flight on us, she even did her best to prevent us from having a long layover and then managed to do our early check in at the airport for us!!! Jane is definitely experienced and i was grateful we had her as our travel agent.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Exhausting to work with. I don't know if they're just that bad or I was just too small a deal to take their time on. I emailed multiple times with no response from Judy and I constantly had to send reminder emails (was hard not to lose your patience) They didn't pay attention to details in my emails and would send wrong itinerary and when I wanted to add an additional stop, which I agree I added after the fact, they got mad saying "I do charge for my time" which I thought was really unprofessional. I would have been fine paying for her time but how she handled it was terrible. Randomly I was telling someone about this without saying the name of the place and they said, "it's Columbus Travel isn't it?" They had a similar experience as well. I never leave reviews but had such a bad experience. I called another group and they got me the correct info back under 24 hours and I booked the trip. (I'm sure i'll get some comment back from them below that will blame everything on me and that I was in the fault based on past bad reviews but guys seriously your processes need to be looked at)
