Negative experience: Does AAA still offer travel services? We have been trying to set an appointment for an international trip and it's been over a week of silence. AAA for roadside service 100%, for travel? Not so much.

Negative experience: They try to increase your monthly insurance amount under false pretenses, they use a fictitious third party who adds people to your insurance policy, leaving the customer stuck in a maze, and while you are confused to solve the problem they add fictitious people to your insurance and charge you against your will.

Negative experience: Overcharged me for the past year after taking away premium discounts away from me. I called around and found out I'm paying 3 times more than I should. When I needed a windshield they wouldn't even cover it. When I called about lowering my payments they could care less. Feeling very taken advantage of as I have a perfect driving record, am older and have a ten year old car. I thought triple A was a good company. Wow

Negative experience: My 18 year old daughter broke down in the middle of nowhere at night . 4 hours of waiting for a tow and nobody showed up. A stranger stopped and gave her a ride. Shame on you AAA!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I've been an AAA member for more years than I can remember. Mostly for their roadside assistance. Lately, as we have begun to travel internationally, we are using them for purchasing foreign currency as well as for any passport services and even obtaining an international Drivers license. The Ft. Collins location, like all the others we have been to, is staffed with friendly and professional people!

Fantastic experience: I went to get an international driving license...however they have so many great services for trips, cars, etc. Their prices are competitive, and their people are very knowledgeable. Check them out.

Fantastic experience: Got there before fort collins police ever showed to assist me with my car break down. Best tow truck driver ever, his name was Tom.
Negative experience: AAA allows there customers to cause damage to other peoples vehicles and then make contact almost impossible. Been waiting almost 8 months now to get my car fixed and it takes there reps months to contact us back. We have filed a complaint with the insurance division and they can’t even get contacted back. We have several estimates for my car but can’t start any work to fix the damage because AAA is low balling the cost for repair, AAA wants my car to be taken apart and sit in someone’s shop for god knows how long until a AAA rep contacts them and sends another check which could be more months down the road. The amount of stress this has been for me and my husband is excessive and it shouldn’t be this much stress

Fantastic experience: If I could give AAA insurance 10 stars, I would. I’ve never had an insurance company that was so easy to work with and so helpful. I used AAA Fort Collins for three years til I moved out of state and all of their phone representatives were incredibly helpful, and saved me when I canceled my AAA policy before my new one would take effect (I moved out of state and found out after I cancelled that my new one wouldn’t taken effect for three days. I called, they reinstated it and only charged me for two days). I wish I could keep this company for insurance but they’re not offered where I moved. Amazing people.
Negative experience: I was on hold for over 20 minutes today. 12/13/2023. Finally I hung up. No return call as of yet. I drove over today(from Loveland to Fort Collins) Thursday 12i14i202 to have a form filled out and signed for a golf cart permit. I was told only my agent who is located in Colorado Springs is the only person who could sign it, Really? I was told to fax it to her Really? I told the person(Ron Thompsons) helping me if that was the case I would be changing insurance companies. That the reason I was dealing with this location was to be able to talk to my agent face to face. Ron didn't care and gave me the number to customer service. I called that number and they eventually transferred me to my agent in Colorado Springs where I got her voice mail. I am changing insurance companies even if it costs more. This is not worth the frustration.

Fantastic experience: I signed up for AAA earlier this year because my car is getting older. Sure enough, my car is dead in my driveway after this recent coldsnap, even though the battery is only 2 months old. Pete showed up right away, jumped my car and emailed me the codes to show AutoZone. I am not even kidding- from the moment I reached out to AAA, to switching out my battery at AutoZone, I only lost an hour of my day. It was truly the best case scenario. Great customer service by Pete from Johnstown. Please give that man a raise!! I can see where someone else below me complimented him recently too :)

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Drove out of my way to get something notarized, arrived around 4:45 on a Thursday and was informed the notary had already left. Older gentleman had no customer service skills, no apology, he basically shrugged and said she’d be back tomorrow, 8:30. I have work 8-4:30, so that is not helpful, when I can’t count of her being there till 5:30 tomorrow either.

Negative experience: I have never used travel through AAA before and Ft Collins office was not willing to assist in providing guidance on travel. Definitely would not recommend.
Negative experience: Avoid AAA at all cost! They will lie and leave you stranded every time. 3rd attempt to use them today and they never showed after waiting over 5 hours.
Fantastic experience: Honestly I was surprised. They have a bunch of necessary travel services like International Drivers Licenses, and they can even take and print your photos for you for cheap. They sell a ton of random travel accessories like plug converters and bags for less than you will find at any airport or Walmart. Customer service was fast and the lady was helpful and nice!
Negative experience: They sent me to collections for not adding another year, and when I called and left a message as to why, nobody has called me back. It's been 3 weeks so far.

Negative experience: Horrible experience!!! Tried to get my car towed on 2/1. I was tondi needed to be there that evening to meet the driver. I borrowed a friend’s car and drove 30 minutes to meet the driver at the schedule time. After waiting in the freezing cold for 20 minutes I called AAA only to find out that the driver was nowhere near there my car. I was told they would do a remote pick up instead and that I was able to go home. The dispatch woman told me my car would be picked up after one more car. The next morning my car was still sitting there. I called again. I was told yet again my car was the next in line. This happened to me several times. Finally after my car sat there for two days instead of getting work done by my mechanic, an arranged a tow with a different company. Fantastic experience: I just recently made a couple of visits and have been very pleased. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.
Negative experience: I've booked towing services 3 times within the last few weeks and waited over 6 hours for the tow each time. One of those times I had to cancel because of how late it was getting. Thankfully I wasn't on the side of the road in these situations but knowing how long it takes is making me think twice about having AAA.

Fantastic experience: They were there within an hour. Jumped my car said battery still good just had not driven in a couple of weeks, during cold spell!

Fantastic experience: We stopped by yesterday to pick up an international driving permit and a few other items. Neither of us paid much attention to the receipt until we got home and realized we had been overcharged for the photos (charged for 6 instead of 2). It was an honest mistake and my husband went back to talk to the salesperson this afternoon. She was so apologetic and ended up offering great customer service and of course credited us back the overcharged amount. I highly recommend using this AAA retail store.
Negative experience: My in-laws were visiting and had lost info for the flight home. They visited fort collins AAA and sadly the experience was terrible. Barb was rude. Within the first minute she was telling them to come back later as she had training. Barb Larsen is not someone who should be in this industry if she is not willing to help out. Was a horrible experience. Wish we would have gone somewhere else.

Negative experience: Locked out of car.Gave us a 7pm time. Never showed. Called them at 830pm they said call a friend well reimburse you. Really? At 10:47 pm they left a message that they canceled the appt. Because they didn't hear from us. Still waiting. In the mountains at night. Next day we got a hammer. Pried the door open and unlocked it with a long piece of metal. Don't waste your money. They aren't coming.

Positive experience: My friend did not have her membership number and needed a trip ticket. The young man could have cared less and kept telling her she did not have a membership (she did). He said he was busy and did not have time to look up her membership info. I bought her this as a gift last year. It all got sorted out with AAA agents on the phone. But this guy must hate his job. Negative experience: AAA will only install their own batteries (expensive) and they manufacture their own batteries. Problem is the specific battery my vehicle takes has been on back order for 2 months. Because of the back order, I was told if I could locate a battery sooner, to call and AAA would install it. Nope ...if it is not their battery, they refuse to help. So why am I a member? Paying out for no help! Not reliable when you need them the most. Shameful and false advertising about them caring about their customers.

Negative experience: AAA Dispatched a tow truck to the wrong location. First told me it was 35 mins away, then re dispatched it and told me it was going to be another 45 mins.. and I was supposed to get updates. No updates sent. Called an hour later for an update, the dispatcher told me it was going to be an additional 45 minutes.. for someone to help change my tire. The worst experience ever.. poor customer service, no follow up.. do not use them

Negative experience: I’ve had AAA insurance for years in WI. Love it. Unfortunately after getting insured in CO there was some problem with the renewal payment. Was never made aware they had an issue. No one contacted me to resolve the issue. Insurance was canceled and I was never notified. Left driving my uninsured car unknowingly.

Negative experience: Trying to get a tow for my wife’s vehicle but can’t because I’m not on the account AAA won’t come and get it. My wife is working at the hospital during the Covin 19 virus and has to take time off to get this done. So wrong!

Positive experience: Customer service could have been considerably better with minimal effort from anyone in the office. I waited forever at the front counter just to let someone know that I needed to meet with a travel agent, who I could see in the office, and who was not assisting anyone else. Once I was finally helped up front, then I waited again to meet with someone. I counted at least 6 staff members in the office, many who made eye contact, though no one even took the time to assist or even acknowledge and let me know that "someone will be with you in a minute ".

Negative experience: I would not recommend the travel services at FTC Automobile Club. Came into the office on Saturday 1/18/20, and spoke to Barb Larsen. We were wanting information, and pricing on a trip to Puerto Vallarta for a group of 18 people, November of this year. Barb gave us brochures and asked that we look at the resort options and get back to her. Our group got together the next day, and narrowed our choices down to 3 resorts. I emailed Barb detailed information on Monday 1/20, breaking down our resort choices, providing the number of rooms, and individuals in the rooms, including ages. By Wednesday, 1/22, I had heard nothing back and so emailed her again. I did not hear back until Friday 1/24, at which time she told me she had 8 resorts picked out for us, and prices. However, she then said she had to redo it, because of a date change. I not only provided the correct dates in my email, we told her the correct dates when we were in the office that past Saturday. I responded to the email and asked her to send me the information to review. Hours went by and she did not respond. I called her and she said that she had to take her mandatory break, and then would come back and price it out. I had not heard back by 4pm, so asked her to send me the information to my personal email, since I was leaving work. A little before 6pm, I emailed again asking where my information was? Barb called me back and hurriedly quoted me prices for one resort (Iberostar) that she was bringing up online as we spoke. The pricing made no sense, and I told her so. There was no email with prepared quotes for my group to review. We were eating dinner, and I told her I could not continue the conversation at that time. She called me back about an hour later and had a revised amount for Iberostar, and also gave me a few more resort prices. Not sure why I never received a professional communication via email, that I could share with my group. I called another agency on Thursday, 1/23, since I had not heard back from Barb, and had a VERY professional quote emailed to me the same day, It included our choices of resorts, and also some recommended resorts, all with very detailed information, for flights, and the resorts. So happy it ws not a phone call, with me trying to scramble while I am eating dinner, to write it down, just to find out the prices were incorrect. The prices were a little less than what Barb quoted, in addition the detail this agent provided was amazing. Barb told us she needed everyone's legal names just to get a quote. I did not have to provide that to my new agent just to get the quote. I only had to provide number of adults and children in each room, and children's ages. I have every confidence in my new agent, and have booked through her. Automobile Club lost our business due to professionalism issues, and delays. Too bad, I am a 33 year member of AAA, and thought they would be the ones to plan my trip.

Negative experience: Honestly I don’t use AAA very much and at this point realize it would be better to post $150 for a tow truck instead of their membership fees. No one can give me an update from my call at 6:45 and the tow should have been here around 8 am, due to a delay it was pushed back another two hours, so It's now after 10am and I'm sitting and waiting on the side of a two lane road in a ditch in 0 degree weather. This is terrible service and I will probably just cancel my membership and get a refund. You only care about getting members, not about provide the services, terrible company.

Positive experience: Service in the office was great I have been with AAA since 1981. The service on the phone lines has gone down degenerated significantly. However I have older cars and I just got my daughter a AAA membership for her older but new to her car.
