Negative experience: Update 9/5/2024 -still zero customer service from Camarillo AAA. They are only nice, efficient and professional when it comes to their personal incentive of a new policy. They won't even answer when I try to upgrade my auto club service to ensure more tow mileage. It's just ridiculous. ______________________________________________________________ Original review: My agent, Jennifer Driscoll was helpful and proactive when I was creating my new policy. Once she got what she wanted, she answers almost nothing I ever email her. Will occasionally apologize and say she was “out of the office” but this was after waiting weeks for a response and forwarding my request to her superiors. It is very rare I ask her about anything, but unfortunately this lack of help and bait + switch has only continued. I very much regret signing up with and supporting this person and plan to leave Triple A once my annual policy is up

Negative experience: Very condescending individual helped me. I ended up leaving and going to the Thousand Oaks office. Much nicer atmosphere and PEOPLE! Make the drive and go there it’s only 15 mins away. The place also needs a total facelift it stunk right when I walked in and everything is old and sweaty looking. Do better.

Fantastic experience: Sure beats having to go to the DMV. The customer service at Camarillo AAA was outstanding. I had the pleasure of dealing with Jennifer Driscoll. She was great to work with. She’s very courteous and really knows her business. I highly recommend this facility. Everyone seems happy to be there. It’s a refreshing feeling. I wish more businesses would follow their lead. Fantastic experience: Bryant assisted me with an out of state vehicle transfer. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was in and out with new plates and registration un under 20 minutes.

Negative experience: Worst place to be insured. I had been with AAA for 5 yrs until they scammed me they canceled my coverage without me even being aware then after the 30 days they call me to reinstate my policy but first I had to give a down payment of $748 and go from paying $150 to over $200 a month. Come to know that I'm not the only one there doing this to they're doing this to try and raise what your paying so pls be aware because they do not care about you

Negative experience: AAA set me up with Bristol West because I had no insurance coverage during a time frame I owned no vehicle. The company they set me up with has not sent my physical documents as I requested and needed for the DMV, they have no way to contact them, they don't answer their phones or respond to faxes. This is disgusting and I blame AAA, I'm already looking into legal aid to see if I have a case to sue AAA and Bristol West for emotional distress. Avoid AAA and run if they suggest Bristol West. Also AAA told me they could get me insured and never told me it was through another company, I didn't find that out until after my payment was taken by a AAA agent. Very deceptive of you AAA So Cal

Fantastic experience: Scanned and uploaded all our info online to the DMV to transfer title on a used car we purchased. 3 days later we received an email to mail everything in. We decided to go to AAA and see if they could speed up the process! We are now BEST FRIENDS with Heather!! Somehow she did her magic and walah!!!...we will have our title in the mail in a few days! Thank you Heather!

Negative experience: You do need to pay in cash or use a Visa credit card. They do not accept debit cards or other credit cards. Just a heads up. Updated review:. Went to pay my car registration at 8.5 months pregnant. Got asked if I was pregnant, I said yes then the employee, a male proceeded to ask if I was afraid of dying during child birth and would I consider life insurance because, " anything could happen". This is NOT okay. How dare you . And now they won't stop calling and harassing me even though I've said multiple times I do not want life insurance and I'm offended by how it was offered. Fear mongering to get business is NOT OKAY.

Positive experience: Update 12/30/22: I went back to register a car. I needed insurance too so I spoke to an agent. I was helped within a few minutes for getting insurance. While I was talking to the agent, I mentioned that I need to register the car too. He went and got help from the lady working with the DMV and they both got everything taken care of. They both helped me so much. This was my best experience at AAA ever. Adding a star. Older post: Only giving this 3 stars because I asked if there were any promotions that are going on for memberships and person signing me up said no. I got a call a week later from someone else asking me if the person that signed me up told me about the offers that come with a new membership this month. I answered no and the person on the phone proceeded to tell me the offers I missed out on. Turns out I was able to add a second person to my membership for free. I also asked about DMV Real ID Services. I was told that I needed to make my appointment online through the DMV and I would be given the option to pick AAA for my appointment. DMV had no such option.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of AAA for the last 36 years. Their services for car towing and flat tire etc are great to have when you have an emergency! AAA has expanded to provide many other services. They can save you a trip to DMV for real id or renewal of license. Their travel services can help plan your next vacation and provide maps etc. You can use their insurance services for home, auto. They offer life insurance too along with various annuities for investment. I had to change the insurance papers. They not only did the work and made copies for me but they also faxed the paperwork. That's going beyond expectations!

Negative experience: This office has suffered a severe decline in recent years. The Camarillo branch of AAA is rapidly resembling a Calif. DMV office for rudeness and inefficiency. It is now almost worth the trip to Ventura AAA.

Positive experience: We really like our AAA coverage, especially being able to walk in and take care of things here in Camarillo.

Negative experience: PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING: This location is not that busy so I recommend coming here for fast assistance. Unfortunately they don’t have Apple Pay set up. Don’t waist your time if you are an “Apple Pay user”. Hope I saved y’all some time & “AAA” makes this change soon to all locations.

Negative experience: Called AAA with a flat tire at 6800 wheeler canyon rd. They let me know they were dispatching gold line towing to come help me out with a 20 min eta. 3 hours later I’m writing this review still on the side of the road with a flat tire. I have called back AAA three times asking when they would arrive. Each time AAA claimed Gold line had already arrived and didn’t see my vehicle. And would re-dispatch the same company. GoldLine Towing are liars and AAA should end their contract. This is the worst towing experience of my life. AAA said goldline is the only company servicing this area and they can’t help me any further. Well AAA you can’t offer the roadside service in my area, that I have loyally been paying you for, for over 20 years and this is the very first time I have called on you for help. SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Fantastic experience: What a GREAT day with AAA today! Not only were they good on keeping my automatic payments going & annual continuous without missing that, having such a busy schedule...I was taken care of & Oscar Reyes, the mechanic expert came to my rescue for a battery boost & tires check. His advise was so easily understood that i felt like he was talking to one of his daughters or sisters in how to make sure I won't have one other thing in worrying about to keep my car running smoothly without the fear of my electricals powering my battery. Then, after getting a smog check, a half hour later, I was able to visit a AAA office only moments away, for my renewal registration & get tags right away, while i did not have to leave my kids for too long, while they enjoyed Happy Meals (uninterrupted). I was SUPER HAPPY with Edgar Rodriguez, when he met with me at the door for such a quick process, while i stayed close to my little ones by the car. He has my favorite Member Specialist! I don't know how luckily i have always been to be able to see him everytime for anything when he is always very busy, but i guess i just seem to come at the right time & AAA seems to always have my back each time i need their support, especially when there is always a sweet voice on the receiving end to answer your calls which always soothes you, like BIG HUGS through the phone! Thanks, again...AAA, I really wish that the DMV could have ALL of your help (including the new online stuff)!

Yesterday I went to AAA to get their auto insurance back. It took less than half an hour. Bing, bang, boom! If you aren't a member, become one TODAY!

Fantastic experience: This office is small but service is always timely. Staff are consistently courteous and knowledgeable. This office is open on saturday. I took a friend there for a gift of a years road service (she is from India) and the representative was completely patient and understanding in answering dozens of quetions. They have straightened out car registration issues and significantly decreased my insurance costs.
