AAA Maryville

Fantastic experience: Friendly, convenient AAA location! This location offers insurance and travel services. This was my second visit to the Maryville AAA branch. My husband recently died and I needed assistance with his auto insurance policy. Insurance agents Vince and BJ have been of great help with the process of recording my husband's death and canceling his auto insurance. Vince assisted me during my first visit and BJ completed the final paperwork and documentation on the second visit. I greatly appreciate their help with this process. Both BJ and Vince have made this procedure much easier for me during this difficult time in my life. The AAA Maryville office is located conveniently on Lamar Alexander Boulevard. UPDATE: February 24, 2025, Once again, fantastic service from Vince and BJ, in the insurance department. I continue dealing with home and auto insurance issues after the death of my partner in August. Vince and BJ have both been excellent and compassionate as they have guided be through the insurance paperwork and procedures. Today, Vince, greatly and expertly helped me with the continued coverage of my late partner's home. If you have insurance related issues and/or are considering changing insurance carriers, I strongly recommend you head to AAA Maryville and speak with Vince and BJ!!

Fantastic experience: My Wife Debi has been a AAA Member since the 1980’s. I have been a Member since 2021. We routinely use the club for travel help. Today our Rep in Maryville, TN - Mikayla - did such a phenomenal job for us today on a bit of a tricky itinerary. THANK YOU MAKAYLA! Next stop? Planning our big International trip in 2025!!! Negative experience: We ordered a truck because we had a low tire. We had to go to the doctor early the next morning. So we called at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. At 3:30 a.m. we received a text saying they were sorry that they weren't able to get to them. This is unacceptable for them. They are in their 80's and we got this for them for that reason. I do believe that they deserve another year of this service for free since they have not used this service at all.

Negative experience: This location put me on hold for 40 minutes then promptly hung up when the phone actually started ringing. I tried close to closing yesterday so I assumed it was my fault. Apparently they just don't answer the phones here.

Negative experience: NOT impressed with agent service! First I left a voice mail that wasn't returned. I then called and asked for an appointment. Arrived at the appointed day and time and was told she called in sick. No call from anyone to tell us that, and then no follow up after the weekend to apologize or reschedule. 3 strikes....I'm done! Will go elsewhere

Negative experience: We made an appointment and met with a travel agent. She was to email us an itinenary. After a few days, I tried to email her to forward the itinenary, but the email address on her business card did not work. I called and after a few days the itinerary was received. We had a question about flight times. We tried to call her but she never returned the call. We eventually went with another travel company.

Fantastic experience: They were so very friendly and helpful. They had my triptik ready for me when I arrived. I just wish that AAA overall was not doing away with the printed guide books. I much prefer a real book than anything digital. Technology has glitches...the printed books do not.

Negative experience: Never ever will I book a trip through AAA again! The trip itself was awesome but an issue I had has so far taken 2 months and still no result. I get no return calls, can not get through by phone, always busy or out of office. Only way to contact is by email and good luck with a response going that route. Very disappointed with service!!!

Negative experience: We have used AAA Maryville TN office in the past and was very pleased with their service. This year we went in for passport picture the agent was busy with customer. We left specific travel info w/name & phone #. No one called us back. Called left message no return call. Husband called was transferred to Johnson City office wanting to talk to manager. They wanted to transfer him back to Maryville office. Have been a gold member since 2000!!

Fantastic experience: Please accept my most sincere appreciation for a tow truck driver, Tim (Karli Dispatch). My auto battery required a jump start. He arrived within 10 minutes ! Tim was extremely professional and polite. He also provided advice regarding a keyless start system. I am truly grateful for AAA. And for Tim. Please commend him for his exemplary service.

Negative experience: Truck was running with keys locked inside it. I called AAA to get it unlocked and they told me to wait until 9:35. That conversation happened around 8:50. When 950 hit and I had to call and get through other annoying prompts again they gave me some excuse that the ticket did not go through completely?? So they sent the locksmith again and to asked me to wait another half hour...My truck running all this time still

Negative experience: Calling for customer service. Open at 8:30 am, phones say the office is closed at 8:44 AM. Very disappointing. Use to get quality customer service, now seem to have to hope for calls to be answered or to get assistance.

Negative experience: Unless you lock your keys in the car, AAA is basically useless. If you run out of gas or need a tire changed, expect at least a two hour wait. Couldn't get them to answer the phone at this location to get my trip tick. Will not renew again.

Negative experience: So, we thought going with them was going to be easy for booking our trip, but no. We got the insurance that allows you to cancel in case you needed to. Needless to say vouchers involved and their accounting dept is not fast about it at all. There is a lot to this, but I will tell you it's not worth using them for travel. Everything is much cheaper with expedia.

Negative experience: They use the worse airlines for international travel to the middle east and asia. If they book you tickets with Qatar airline RUN! Spend the extra $50 or so for a different airline. I took my first international trip to the Philippines and used this AAA location to book flights and hotel. The staff were great and did help a lot when I got stranded because I got held up at security. The airline cancelled all my remaining flights because they said I was a no show. I wonder how that's possible after spending over 12 hours on their airplane from ohare international to Qatar international. Even the insurance that was purchased is completely useless. My rating is based off of the airlines that they choose to partner with and the insurance company they choose to partner with. P.S. Cristal Mizell was great until I started disputing the claim with the airline. She helped file the claim but disappeared after that. I would rate her a 4 out of 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: I really loved what they had to say about my upcoming trips. They gave me the triptics and advice, and everything I needed to make an educated decision about it. I highly recommend this place for anyone who has AAA and needing to plan a long term trip. Other than the obvious stuff, they helped me plan a fun trip to get back across the country from east to west. Anyone else wanting to go down historic rt 66 from here should seek these people out. Mel knows her stuff around this route and shouldn't be unemphasized! I had a BLAST with her and I'm convinced that she knows her stuff!! Thanks Mel For all your help!!

I have also moved my vehicle insurance and Home Insurance there, since I cannot find anyone else any cheaper! Since I used to do a lot of traveling for work, I stocked up on free maps there, which saved me a small fortune from buying them at the store!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I live in Knoxville but are taking Tai Chi in Maryville, TN. I parked in a public lot and accidentally locked my keys in the trunk. This can be a very aggravating experience, but the person on call at 6 pm on 3/8/2016 did an excellent job assisting and empathizing with me. It was probably the best service I have ever experienced! Highest compliments for a job well done!
