Please shop with them and if you can't make it in person you can ask them to ship. But a visit is absolutely with it!! Take the bus if you can or else there is some street parking. Fantastic experience: The Beautiful Ladies who work made magic happen. Being from Oahu, Hawaii. I wanted our wedding Hawaiian style. They had my husband's shirt. They put a rush order on my dress and Maile Lei's. Every thing came in on time. On May 19, 2024 we surprised all of our guest in matching Hawaiian attire. The Maile Lei's were the hit of the wedding. ALOHA to the Hawaiian General Store, your Aloha made our wedding special.

Fantastic experience: Very cute store. Lots of home decor goods, food, and party favours/decorations. Made me consider taking up learning how to play the ukulele. The only disappointment is how very few of the goods are actually made in Hawaii. A lot that I saw was made in the Philippines or China. I was hoping this store would be supporting the local economy.

Sure their prices are a bit high, but not any more and I dare say less than buying these goods on the Hawaiian Islands. Fantastic experience: This is a great place to get fresh leis all year long. They also have some beautiful jewelry made from shells and/or bone as well as candies, essential oils, fabric, and a ton of other stuff. The people welcome you with a smile and are helpful and friendly. The only down side to this place is there isnt parking other then on the street and it fills up fast.

Negative experience: Drove from Southern Washington for a day trip to visit here and arrived later than anticipated at 5:35pm, 25 minutes before closing, to find the doors locked and the closed sign on the door, with the staff inside sneaking to the back to avoid being seen. We'll be in town another day but won't bother again.

Fantastic experience: Friendly small entrepreneur business in the bustling University District yet nice & quiet inside. It's the only local vendor that sells my favorite perfume & cologne "Pikake" & other Hawaiian scents. Beautiful attire.

Fantastic experience: This is the best shop for anyone looking for authentic Hawaiian stuff while stuck on the mainland. The people who work there are super friendly, the products are all imported from the Islands, and the fresh Lei's are beautiful. I stop in here as often as I can for the atmosphere and friendly conversations - even if I don't need to buy anything that day. they even have fresh Hawaiian breads available most of the time.

Positive experience: This store is amazing; it's like shopping in Hawaii without the airfare. I stumbled across this store while looking for Hawaiian themed Christmas wrapping paper on the internet. If you're familiar with the Wallingford district and Dick's Drive-in, then you can find this great little store. You can park on the street if their is an opening or park at Golden Oldies Records and walk down. All I was after was Hawaiian themed Christmas wrapping paper. I walked out with 6 roles and a lot more. The owners were so nice and friendly. Not only is this a store, they are also are a travel agency.

However, the store-keeper didn't arrive until ten minutes after opening and then there were technical difficulties so she had to hand-write my receipt. Basically, be prepared to experience an overly relaxed atmosphere, to the point of rudeness
