Negative experience: Walking in was greeted well but after that it went south quick. Was having some electrical issues with my car and some lights did come on in the car but those weren't the6 issue the issue was my car not going over a certain speed and some lights coming the dash. I was just basically shoved out the door and was presented with " those are 3 separate diagnostic and $179 a piece" not helpful all. Just another bloodsucker cooperation

Negative experience: ZERO STARS - DO NOT GO HERE!!! Very very very disappointed we have had multiple horrible experiences with this branch and we will absolutely never go back. They did maintenance on my car for an oil pan gasket. While it was in there they found more leaks. They told us we needed to go to a ford dealer for the one leak. After paying over $800 we took it to plaza ford the next day. After plaza ford evaluated my car They told me the oil pan gasket was leaking horribly. We showed them our receipt from AAA showing they literally just repaired the exact same thing and they proceeded to tell us it was leaking horribly. Plaza ford spoke to the abingdon AAA branch and told them the situation and AAA did not seem to care one bit. We asked for a refund since they didn't repair anything and basically did an oil change for $800. Dave (the branch manager) was beyond rude and told my husband to not use the tone of voice when speaking to him (when I'm pretty sure anyone would be furious with spending $800 for nothing to be repaired) we have now been trying this past week to speak to Scott who is apparently higher up in this company. We have yet to be able to get ahold of him. Dave the "manager" told us they are not refunding us because in order for them to cover the work it can't be worked on by another place but AAA directly told us that we needed to take our car to a ford dealership for the oil filter assembly and timing chain gasket because "they did not see getting the parts needed in the forseeable future". We did what they told us and plaza ford was able to get that exact part within 1 day. Now we are being told that with their warranty it would need to be worked on by AAA. Why the hell would we want to trust our vehicle with AAA when they ripped us off already and we rely on that car as our family car to drive our two babies. We were even told by Ford that they would highly advise us to never take our car back to AAA because of the horrible work that was done to our car. It makes me sick to my stomach knowing over $800 is down the drain when money is so tight to begin with and AAA has no empathy to what they have done to us. I will be sure to inform anyone I know to never ever go to the abingdon branch, unless they fix this by refunding us. Attached are my receipts from AAA and Plaza ford showing the exact same work being done within the same week.

Negative experience: I used AAA Abingdon last October and again in April. My car was in need of an oil change and took back to a different garage. AAA charged me over 3000 dollars for work that was never done. They said they did a tune up , brake fluid exchange,coolant exchange. Etc. My garage I took my car too showed me my coolant was empty and brake fluid never done along with many other things. I was taken advantage of. I will never forgive them for taking my money and doing nothing to my car. My self and family were lead to believe our car care was important to them and we were wrong

Negative experience: ZERO stars __ I've been a member of AAA a very long time, and its been stellar. However, this particular location likes to embellish the truth, hide the facts to make a commission, in fact, there are several other local shops that I would take my car to over this center. If you are a AAA member, try using the website or the customer service center prior to visiting this location for car service. Negative experience: I had a scheduled appointment for 9:30am once I arrived instantly I was met with "we have alot of cars already we will get to it" After some time I go back to check up on everything to which my vehicles still has not moved from it's parked space. The staff in the back proceeded to then laugh at me. This kind of service is unacceptable. I've been a returning customer and it was for no cheap appointment yet it seems like the place is ran like a joke. Management has no idea how to handle there staff or approach situations correctly. If you needed me to reschedule to which I even offered to reschedule then simply just tell me instead This location will give you the run around saying they have other vehicles yet I specifically made an appointment. Extremely disappointed and will no longer be continuing spending any money with this company as it seems they could care less.

Fantastic experience: My car broke down at the Maryland House rest stop not far away from here and I was pleased with the help I got. I was driving from MD to NY. Had to wait a day for the part and the service, but we were towed there right around when the shop was closing (4:30-5ish). I will say this is a busy shop and they did not call me for updates, I called them. However, when I did, Scott and Dave were extremely helpful, patient, and gave me honest updates all along the way. I thought I’d have to stay an extra night, but they went above and beyond to rush order and replace the fuel pump in my Camry- and that involves a decent amount of labor. Cost was on the higher side of the spectrum, but honestly that’s what I’d expect from a center close to 95. Many thanks to this center! Glad I have my AAA membership!

Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked in Joanie Lind asked if I needed assistance. I truly did. Because of a family emergency I have to drive to Maine. A trip I was very nervous about. Most of my driving is in and around Bel Air. Joanie took my worries away. As a result of our meeting I will have a trip ticket to get me to my destination and one for my return trip. Negative experience: I tried to contact AAA to leave my feedback after a very disappointing visit to this branch today. Not possible through their call center or app. So I’m trying this google review to see if this feedback reaches to somebody who cares. I needed to do a 16K maintenance for my Work vehicle. I called this morning to schedule some time for next week. The lady who assisted me over the phone (Abigail) was really kind.After explaining her while reading my company’s maintenance points, I’ve got the nice surprise that they had an opening for today at 1:00 pm. I also got the confirmation all of the things I needed were possible today (oil change, tire rotation and damage inspection, lights and wipers inspection and replacement if needed, etc. ) I arrived 20min before the appointment, waited in line for the first desk, after it was my turn they tell me, I have to go to an empty desk, service is over there. Didn’t wait that much but thought it was weird not to find somebody. But anyways. They ask for my name, the make and model, and I tell them again, this is a fleet vehicle, and I proceed to show them the card with all the info to request a PO to the fleet management company and the things that needed to be done. They just requested the key, never look at the card. I needed to work on some pending emails and was able to use a small waiting area in the back. A few minutes after I’m approached by a senior employee asking me if I’m waiting for Parts. Which I’m not, I’m in for maintenance. After 1 hour the same young gentleman who receive the keys asks me: Are you here only for an oil Change?. And that was the precise moment when everything went down hill. After I explained to this young person, I Need the maintenance points that my company details on the card I gave you. He’s demeanor changed immediately, and told me: “well, whoever did your appointment just put general maintenance.” Which I can understand there can be mistakes in the process, but as a customer service professional myself, that’s why you have to double check everything with your customer before doing any job. Then I started to get lectured about what type of maintenance my vehicle needed, another person approached (with an ear tunnel) I’m guessing a technician, also intervened to lecture me about, there are different things depending on the mileage. Which clearly I was not asking for an explanation, I was just asking what seems to be the problem if I already provided with the card with all the info you needed. All of their faces and demeanors changed immediately after that, like they’re doing me a favor. I’m a AAA member and didn’t even got ask for my membership. In the end, I spent +2,5 hours when I finally see my vehicle being pulled out of the garage. After 10min in the waiting area, nobody approached to let me know. 15min later the senior employee tells me: it’s done, gives me the key and walks away. Absolutely unprofessional. Not to mention that not even the vehicle maintenance card was returned to me. I had to ask for a receipt copy and my maintenance card. Otherwise, it would be still sitting on their desk. Lastly, after driving a few miles when turning the car on, I have the message: oil change is due. So bottom line, a terrible customer service, terrible demeanor, zero empathy for a customer, and not even the slightest intention to pay attention to details. Since this car center is really close to our new home, I was thinking of also doing my own vehicle’s maintenance there. But after the disappointing visit from today: I’m looking for another place. Even considering to cancel my membership, if this is the treatment I’ll get if I need road assistance: no thank you!

Negative experience: I went to get my international driver's license to drive motorcycles in south East Asia. The lady who "helped" me didn't give me the Correct stamp so I'm now totally screwed for the next 6 months here because my license is invalid and I've already been fined in Vietnam. Literally a pointless license I had to pay for and now have to pay because of. Blown away by the incompetence.

Negative experience: Updated 1-7-2023 after 1 reach out in the middle of my work day i got no reply to me scheduling a conversation with aaa after his message showed he misunderstood my review. I went outside company to get car repaired company said theres a good chance aaa work was the issue where i am needing to pay over $2000 again for parts to be shipped and labor. The mechanic couldnt even drive car said it needs to be towed from sound and rattling with getting car out of parking spot Orginal review:I came with a bad issue making car not working. I left with loud sound and car struggling to make turns but was told it was whoever worked on car before not their services that would make that sound... 2months later car inoperable and im out over $2000 in bills i paid them. I wish i could add videos to show how the car was sounding and show the immediate responses when i turned around and went back to them. I dnt feel they service females same as men. The employees are nice, nice while making me have to pay and still having same issue

Negative experience: I called ahead to confirm AAA had a technician knowledgeable to repair the automatic compressor pump on my 2010 Mercedes Benz E550 and was assured that they could do it. After I had my car towed to the facility I informed they could not do it. In addition, they would not tow it back or to Midas as I requested. This was a very frustrating and humiliating experience and the management was terrible.

Negative experience: I didn't want to post this review but thought I would be doing a disservice to other potential customers. I recently had a conversation with a neighbor that went to the same location and was told about her experience. I've used AAA in the past and received great service. Earlier this year I took my vehicle in because I noticed a wobble when I drove it. I was told they needed to do an inspection for a fee, I received a call telling me I needed a transmission and was given a quote. When I picked up my vehicle I asked to speak with someone but wasn't able to speak with whoever did the inspection. I had a few questions because I didn't think I needed a new transmission. I was told someone would call me , they did and what I was told was yes, the transmission needs to be replaced its bad. I went somewhere else and immediately was told that I needed to replace the CV joints. I replaced the cv joints and had no problems. My car runs perfect. I'm out of the money for the inspection I paid for even though I was given a bad advice.

Negative experience: I had an appointment on 9/25/23 at 3 pm for oil change, tire rotation and brake check. I got there 20 minutes early. The service rep took my car right away. it was on the lift by 2 :45, I thought great I'll be out of here early. It went all down hill from there. The person I am not going to call him a tech. The person took off the drain plug around 2:50 And then for next 30 minutes he preceded to look at his cell phone and talk to another employee in the shop. After looking at this for 30 or 35 minutes I had enough. I went to the service desk and told them get my car out of there. After the service rep had told him to just put the oil in and take it out of the shop, he did just that. I never got my tires rotated and I never got my brakes checked. I did not want to be there for two hours. There was an elderly lady there who was visibly upset. She said she was there for over two hours for an oil change. I asked her if she had an appointment and she said yes. My wife and I have been AAA members for over twenty years. I have cancelled our automatic renewal. We are done with AAA, it is not what it use to be. There is a revolving door at that faciality employees come and go, and nobody seems to care. It is a terrible faciality.

Negative experience: Very, very, very slow. I went in with an appointment for an oil change on a Saturday morning and still spent over an hour and a half waiting for the car to be finished. Price was comparable to others in the area, will not be returning for an oil change.

Positive experience: There is a lot of misrepresented car care associates at this AAA location of Abingdon MD especially David ( c mark or 9 over 20) and Mike (c mark or 7 over 20). They are very violent, very aggressive, very Impolie and not truthfully. David care care associate and Mike deserve some disciplinary and training sessions for better customer assistance care purposes. It's disappointing. The membership has some good (Jen or Jane 12 over 20 with B plus mark and some bad associates. This AAA location has A mark a couple of times but most of the times B and C markk all the times. Trainings on customer improvement are really necessary on this AAA location of Abingdon In definitive, some mechanics are fair enough to have a good mark. But the administrative support at the mechanics shop is unsatisfactory. It is too much which is going on there.

Negative experience: Called the local number. When I finished all the phone computer prompts... I was talking to someone who said, "I am off-shore." We went to the Abingdon store and were informed, "We only have an insurance agent who writes new policies." We are looking for a new company.

Negative experience: I had an alternator and battery replaced in my truck. Before I left, I tested the remote start (which was working as recently as the morning I dropped it off) and it did not work. I went back into the store and told the assistant manager who told me that it should reset on its own but if not, to bring it back. It did not reset so I brought it back, they looked at it, couldn't fix it and pretty much told me sorry for your loss. They took NO responsibility and didn't offer to do anything else to either try to fix it or compensate me for it. I can NOT support a company that doesn't stand behind their work or doesn't that responsibility when THEY clearly caused the problem. I won't be go back!!!!

Negative experience: My experience was not good. My wife made an appointment and then got called three hours later to come pick the car up because they were overbooked. The only solution was to wait another 2 hours or come back the following week. Never offered to discount the price of the oil change to rectify the mistake THEY made! Negative experience: Got a International Driving Permit here and they forgot to put that I had my motorcycle license even though I reminded them to. When I got to Japan and was trying to rent a motorcycle, they told me I couldn’t because the permit wasn’t stamped for the motorcycle. Completely ruined my trip.

Negative experience: Went to AAA on Emmorton Road to have the oil changed in my car in September. Car requires synthetic oil; their receipt indicates they charged me for synthetic oil. 2000 miles later, I get warning lights. After taking the car to the dealership, it turns out it was NOT synthetic oil in the car (which normally lasts 5000 miles). AAA's service was very poor; promising completion times they did not hold to. I would absolutely not recommend them. Giving them one star since I can't give zero.

Negative experience: Thieves. Was charged 80 bucks for a rear blinker bulb. But hey I guess I should asked the price beforehand. Being a member didn’t make a difference. Stop trying to sell me repair’s I didn’t ask for. Just like you did to the 3 other people in the waiting area.time to cancel my membership. I certainly didn’t save a dime.

Negative experience: One of my worst car care experiences. I went to AAA because of a coupon for an oil change, but it ended up costing more than my regular car care place. It took 2 hours for the oil change and I had an appointment. When completed, my low oil light would not turn off/reset. I returned to have AAA look at it, and they said it would cost $175 just to diagnose the problem. They didn't seem to care. I had to laugh as I waited to talk to the service manager as he complained on the phone to someone about his uniforms not being delivered on time and that company's bad service. Back at you AAA. I went back to my regular car care place, and will not return to AAA.

Negative experience: Receive complete brake service front and back brakes rotors etc ten months ago 7,000 miles now the back brakes need full service again they are not holding up to the warranty for replacing the back brakes. First tried to tell me I didn’t get back brake service after going home and getting my receipt that shows complete front and back service. This failed my Maryland inspection. I would not recommend this business since they cannot hold up to their warranty they gave me at their time of service written in black-and-white.

Negative experience: We took our family Ford truck over to the Abingdon facility. We took it there to have a radiatorfluid leak repaired. We ended up calling them as 4 hours went by and no one advised us on the status than They have been unable to find the leak but told us that the next day they would have a mechanic in who worked on Fords for.over 20 years They did find the leak and we gave the OK to have it repaired As soon as the order was given it didn't take long within a few hours we had a phone call from one of the Service representative and telling me that they cannot get the bolts out of the intake manifold they have gotten one bolt out as far as far as they could get and also they are afraid to sheer off the remaining bolts that would cause me to buy another cylinderhead, This is not a very hard job to do I would have done it myself but I'm also working 60 hours a week we wanted to have them to do it unfortunately they have incompetent lazy untrained mechanics working in that facility we will never recommend or will ever take any of our other vehicles over to this facility as they also charged us for the labor ( 1 bolt removed)they have done an uncompleted job and charged me almost 300 dollars.

She is definitely a credit to your organization, her customer service skills are excellent. I very much appreciated her handling of the situation. Today I had another issue with my car not starting. The AAA driver Robert Casey arrived, ran a few tests on the car and had it up and running quickly. He also was very professional and honest about what he believed the issue was. Negative experience: Horrible service. Unwilling to mount and balance a spare tire. He only wanted to sell new. If you won’t take care of a simple service, why should anyone trust you for more advanced repairs?
Negative experience: People are very nice and friendly. my car was towed here, was given a $1800+ bill just to get the car off the lot. Paid it, then my car had several NEW problems after leaving the lot. Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree so I brought it back immediately (they paid for an Uber ride to get me home and back). I wouldn’t bring a major job here again personally.

Negative experience: We (my husband and I) called on a Wednesday at 4:20pm to make sure they closed at 7pm (as per their website), and to also make sure they had a notary onsite. The person over the phone said they were closing at 5pm, but that if we’d make it before then, the notary would definitely notarized our document. We made it to the location exactly 2 minutes before 5pm. All the employees were still at their computers, and two tellers still at their posts. The doors were open and the lights and open sign on. We walked in and approached one of the tellers (not very friendly) and asked for the notary to what she responded “we are closed”. They denied service and ignored us...still the doors were open and they continued working on their computers! Unbelievable! NEVER EVER coming to this place nor recommending them...did I say NEVER?!?

Negative experience: First and last time using this facility. Took my care in for a new battery. Told by phone no cost to replace battery. Was told later, because where the battery was located there would be a $24 charge for service. Bait and switch. No follow up phone call when it was completed. Hours on door state open until 7pm. Arrived at 5:30 only to find the door was locked. I was not informed the location was closing early. My vehicle was parked at the front of the building UNLOCKED! I will be cancelling my AAA....very poor customer service!
Negative experience: Honestly, awful. Terrible service. Went in to have an easy job completed with an appointment set for service to be completed, heard back from the shop a day later that there was an issue with something that was never an issue with my car before. I honestly would never recommend this shop for anyone UPDATE: THEY, never reimbursed my lost possessions stolen out of my car while there to have work done on it. Also, they couldn't follow my patron directions as in to not start vehicle because it had bad fluids in the lines. so, they still ran the car to have the fluids brand through the transmission now the transmission is shot and I do not have an ability to have the transmission fixed nor have a car to replace my vehicle that was in upstanding condition before it reached this shop. All of these conditions were also tested andrealized by a third-party mechanic that I had to take the car to because they could not do a simple flush of the transmission fluid at this facility. this place can not facilitate anyting past and oil change and even with that I would be surprised that they would be able to complete that with the utmost respect to your vehicle. ALSO, IM STILL WAITING FOR TRIPLE AAA TO REACH OUT TO REACH OUT TO ME TO FIX THIS ISSUE. Haven't heard from them yet, but will update this review if I do. Thank you

Fantastic experience: This Place is Awesome! My wife had a flat tire but made it back to our driveway. I called AAA Car Care to put the spare on. While the mechanic was changing the tire I mentioned the consistent draining of my wife's battery. He jumpstarted her battery and said I should check out AAA Care Care in Bel Air and have the issue diagnosed. Mind you I've worked on this issue for 8 months tracing the issue, changing batteries and alternator. AAA diagnosed her car and found a wire connected to the On Star that we haven't used in over three years, that was defective and causing the drain, Go Figure! Long story short, if you have vehicle issues, take your car to AAA in Bel Air where there is great service for your vehicle and personal professionalism.
