Negative experience: Was stuck in my car in freezing weather with my two dogs. Called triple a and they hung up on me. Had to call a friend for help. They just take your money. They don't care about you. Needless to say will not be renewing my membership. They are useless. Wish I could give zero stars

Negative experience: Refused to move there sign blocking the walkway. I am a 74 year old disabled veteran who had to walk in the parking lot driveway to get by. Than upon my return I had to walk around again. Fantastic experience: My Son had Norman as a driving instructor at AAA. He was amazing. He was kind, courteous and patient . I had 4 lessons and no experience behind the wheel. Passed my driver's exam. I strongly recommend Norman for Drivers Ed. Thank you Candy/Issac

Fantastic experience: I met with Alexander for notary services and he was immediately able to work with me to notarize four sets of documents and his colleagues were able to act as witnesses. They are providing a great service that would have cost me up to $500 somewhere else. Highly recommend them!
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience on Saturday at this AAA location! Everyone I encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and kind. The woman even let me retake my license photo, love her for that! I had an absolutely terrible experience at the East Providence office so it was so refreshing to come here, I recommend them to anyone!

They emailed and called me to follow up and remind me of my appointment and upon arriving the ladies were super sweet. I even had to call them to let them know I was stuck in traffic and would be a little late, they were super sweet and understanding. They all wished me a happy birthday when I’d gotten there too! Beverly was so so awesome especially! She let me retake my photo as I didn’t like how the first came out. Was super friendly and polite!!

Negative experience: I tried calling to ask question about my appointment, I was on hold for 30 min so I opted for callback from an agent. When they called me back they hung up on me, I tried calling back again with no luck. When I went there for my appointment, I told them what happened, they didn't even listen then told me to sit and wait for someone to call me. I sat there for 15 minutes waiting, there was no one else there but me! Then a guy walked in from the street and got waited on right away. When someone finally waited on me, she didn't respond to anything I said or asked, she ignored me. I won't be going back anytime soon after that treatment!
Negative experience: My son was involved in an accident earlier this morning and he needed to be towed immediately I thought “thank goodness he has AAA. Well, as it turns out I should be asking “Why does he have AAA, instead?” He placed a call for help at 11:30 this morning but here it is 3:00 and we’re still waiting for someone to show up! When you call AAA for a status check, the answer is “there’s no update on the call”. WTH does this even mean? Is help coming or not? I just renewed my membership. I hope I’m not gonna regret it. Herb

Negative experience: Was trying to book a trip however, I didn’t hear back from the agent for a few days. I last had correspondence with her on March 17th at 12:58pm. I didn’t heard back from her til March 21st at 12:55pm.The resorts seem to be filling up fast, so we ended up just booking on our own.

Negative experience: At the beginning, I was thrilled when they told they can help me. That’s until I realized I had just wasted 75 mins for nothing. Maybe my expectations are to high because I always go the extra mile with my clients. Lack of ownership on issues is all. Employees should disclose and review required information with patrons. Well, that is if you like to do a good job and care about people in general. If I’m coming to you with a need, part of your job is to ensure I’m prepared. Not everything is common sense. Besides, we live in a digital age. Who doesn’t accept digital wallets? Upgrade your systems and invest on your business. FYI it was not my only issue.

They also told me there was some kind of restriction on my license; there isn't. I left feeling insulted and anxious. This experience was drawn out, toxic and unnecessary.

Negative experience: Had a 3pm appointment for an address update on my license. There was a very long wait despite having an appointment.. 4pm rolled around and they took a customer who had a 3:30 appointment before me, both for ID updates. Very slow service.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional service in getting paper work notarized. This branch has helped us in past many diverse services, including helping us with a great trip to Disney in March 2020! Next time in I will upgrade my drivers license for Real ID and they provided my the paperwork to do that already!! Please consider this branch for your many needs!

Fantastic experience: Nancy helped us out soooo much and I’ll be forever grateful for her!! We had tried twice to go to the Bahamas during the pandemic and both times we were not successful luckily we were able to receive a complete refund which is unheard of!! Negative experience: When AAA started providing DMV services it was a great improvement and really saved time. However, this is no longer the case. It is basically a small DMV office now and the idea of a fast license renewal is lost. A line waiting to get inside before the store opened at 9:00 am. Misguided line direction causing elderly confusion. Two employees to handle both licenses AND registrations. Most of all employees acting just like DMV employees. I'm not saying one is better than the other just be ready for an unexpected DMV experience no matter where you go.

Negative experience: I have been booking cruises for the last several years though the cruise line, someone referred me to AAA travel saying you would get more perks I decided to give it a try my experience as been very scary I found it hard to make payments online I even tried calling to make a payment over the phone and I was left on hold for over 10 minutes until I hung up Left messages that never got answered , Finally came in person was given the option to give out my credit card info and hope for the best or wait to talk to someone in person , I have been waiting to give my final travel payment for over 3 hours , The meal was not worth the aggravation of this experience my advice book direct !!!!

Fantastic experience: Went for DMV services. Took less than 20 minutes (granted there was a small line). Staff was helpful and friendly. Very happy to be a AAA customer and not have to go to the actual DMV.

Negative experience: Just watched a woman skip BOTH lines to get har license renewed just because she knew someone who works here. Meanwhile there were 16 people ahead of her. Great priorities....
Negative experience: Working with this AAA was a mess! First we tried to set up appointments and even took time off of work. Finally we walked in when they said there would be no appointments and all agents were free. After we explained what we were looking for we put our deposit down. For the next couple weeks we called and emailed asking about a flight itinerary — which, admittedly was complicated because we couldn’t just do a round trip. Finally she got back to us. She told us the cost of the flights, just over DOUBLE what she said they would probably be! While listening to her, I google searched flights that were half the price of her recommendation! So, we opted to purchase our own flights. Then there was travel to and from the airport. We eventually opted into finding our own shuttle to the airport at the end of the trip again because we found better options. When it was all finally organized — after weeks of back and forth and trying to get ahold of her — she said that my fiancé and I were good to go. A couple days before we left for our wedding he emailed her just to check and ask about how we check in. She replied vaguely that it was all in the travel documents. Travel documents that she NEVER mentioned before. I had to take a half day off of work to go get them. Then, when i got there, she explained that everything was online. I asked if she could email me the documents and she was surprised and patronizing replying, “I guess.” Then as she went through the documents, I asked questions, making sure i understood because NOTHING was clear in the process. She would interrupt my questions claiming that she “would get to that.” She didn’t so i had to ask the questions multiple times for unclear answers. Beyond that, Nancy was disorganized, unclear, and uncommunicative. Planning a wedding is hard enough. More over, she was still using internet explorer...
Negative experience: My fiance and I went to plan our honeymoon with a travel agent. We tried to call to make an appointment and they said nothing was available during the week. We went in one day and found that that was not true. We were helped by Nancy. She was still using Internet Explorer. We knew that we were in trouble. We found a hotel after looking through the catalog. She gave us price estimates for flights and they were extremely expensive so we looked for flights on our own and found them more than half the price that she told us, so we had to book the flights by ourselves. She tried to book a transfer from the hotel to airport for us, but yet again, the price was more than four times the price that we had found. We made our final payment for the hotel and she said we were all set. Two weeks before our trip, we emailed her to ask if we needed a confirmation number for the hotel and other such questions. She asked if we picked up our travel documents and I told her that she never told us about them. It was just a painful experience . I would not recommend the travel agency to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the Greenville, R.I. AAA office for a vehicle registration and my wait was only a few minutes and the service was excellent. My server was prompt, courteous and pleasant, a good recipe for a very satisfied customer! So glad I joined AAA. Great for roadside service , so well worth the yearly fee plus the DMV service in all the AAA convenient locations with minimal wait!

Fantastic experience: I renewed my licence at the Greenville office. It was quick and painless and I didn't have to go to the nightmare which is the DMV of Rhode Island. The clerk was very patient with me when I had trouble navigating the eye test machine. My wait time was about 10 minutes.
Positive experience: pretty good idea. the office was very helpful with getting me setup with the EZPASS and getting my license renewed.
Negative experience: AAA charged me late fees on registration. The DMV doesn't charge these fees within the 90 day timeframe. I complained about fees but they didn't tell me there are no fees if I go to DMV.They outright lied, stating DMV cancels all late registrations at year's end. Also gave me misinformation about my teen's learner's permit, telling me it was expired when it does not expire for 2 years and there is no hard copy of permit as they stated. So I paid late fees for 2 vehicles, a CC fee and a AAA fee (Thanks for being a member, right?) Meanwhile my hubby went to Dmv and paid a simple $1.50 (CC fee) plus his original cost for it. What a rip off. I should have been given this info.Not happy

Fantastic experience: I have always received fast, friendly, and helpful service at this location and my last visit was just as pleasant.
Positive experience: Was there to update my registration... so much easier than heading to main DMV branch. They split the line into AAA services and DMV services, which helps keep it moving. Staff was very friendly and patient with customers (some of whom had the wrong forms, etc.).

Fantastic experience: My wife and I recently visited the triple A Greenville, RI, office to have passport photos taken for our renewal applications. Service was prompt just as soon as we entered the front door and we were immediately whisked over to the photo area, had our pictures taken with their special camera/processing setup and were out of there in just a few minutes after the photos were processed and placed into a small binder. Unlike the DMV where you're stuck with the photo they take for your license, here the CSR showed us the first photo for our approval and tried again for my wife who was satisfied with the second effort. Nice touch AAA. Keep up the great work for your members. This is one club where membership doesn't cost...it pays!

Fantastic experience: I had a little trouble with trying to get my license renewed however the people at the counter were more than happy to help and told me exactly what I needed to do. Also they explained how all of the DMV computers are linked now so if you have a problem with your license in another state or registration in another state it will effect your license in RI. Always could effect your insurance just a friendly warning.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE AAA. I'll pay the yearly fee just so I don't have to go to the DMV. Smithfield location is nice and easy to get to and no lines.
Positive experience: There are not enough people working on a Saturday for the volume of customers. The line was out the door One worker was helping a customer buy Disney tickets that took almost 45 minutes. The other worker was running around helping everyone else. The manager came then left. We received great service once we got to the counter.
