Fantastic experience: There was quite a long line when I arrived. I waited about 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly and nice. I was able to get my document notarized quickly and conveniently. AAA is my go to for all my notary needs. Thank you!
Negative experience: They sent a drunk guy out in the middle of the night to change a flat tire on my wife's car. He damaged both the flat tire and the new wheel stabbing at the luggage nuts since he had no coordination. It's been almost 1 yr and nothing has been rectified. But they were definitely happy to charge my card $170 for the auto renewal.
Fantastic experience: Went in for an International Drivers Permit for my trip to Japan next month, Mikayla was awesome she got me out quick and we bonded over our names being the same :)
Negative experience: I’ve been a member for over 4 decades. I rarely use their services. I was in Galveston, Texas for a Cruise. I called for national roadside assistance. It was a very frustrating experience!! I could not reach a live person!? The automated voice took me in circles! With no other choice I was forced to hire a private tow company at 300.00!! Needless to say, I decided to cancel my long term membership with this company I’ve paid into for decades. This is unacceptable!!
Negative experience: Crooked agent. Required a credit card to give a quote. Then charged me $2077 on 01/29/25 even though I did not take the policy. I requested immediate credit on 01/30/25. Still waiting for credit on 02/07/25. I'm now engaging my credit card company and AAA.org to address this unscrupulous behavior.

Negative experience: They will never reply to your email or answer your phone calls as soon as you pay for your your policy. Hughes., Jason will ignore all your emails. I just canceled my policy because of him.
Negative experience: When I first contacted Triple A to get a quote the service was outstanding. A few months after becoming a member I needed to add a vehicle to my policy which was pretty easy to do. But when I called to remove a vehicle I called the office several times, always get a voicemail, left voicemails advising that I needed to make policy changes and no one ever called me back. So I guess once you start a policy the office no longer cares about customer service
Negative experience: Please pass on the auto insurance. I got into a car accident last week, total loss, and the adjuster will not return my call to extend the car rental till I get the check. I’ve left 2 messages and a 3rd to her manager. Zero response. Nobody else can help, I’ve called the agent, customer service, claims dept, they all referred me back to the adjuster who will not return my calls. It’s like trying to reach a ghost. Very frustrating. If you like to deal with one set of people whose default answer is “yeah, I don’t know” and the other set who are ghost, this is the company for you. Honestly, you’ll have better luck talking to a brick wall.
Negative experience: I called the Katy office today wanting to inquire how we might get an International Drivers Permit. After waiting on hold for 6+ minutes I hung-up and dialed back. Wanting to connect with some human, I choose option 1, interested in insurance. A woman answered and I asked for information on how I could get an International Driver's License. Immediately she informed me in no uncertain terms that it was not a 'license' but a 'permit'. I responded, "Yes, that is what I need. Must I come into the office? Does your Katy Office provide this service or only certain Houston locations?" By this time I was talking to myself as she had hung-up on me. Ugh. Just to add that I then called the Woodlands AAA office and a very nice woman picked-up immediately and was efficient and kind in answering my questions.
Negative experience: Trash insurance and customer service go thru progressive
Negative experience: AAA member and auto insurance holder since 2006. Always promoting AAA to friends and family since then. Two hiccups in the economy once in 2016 and recently and I have to say I’m heartbroken that after such loyalty I would be treated with absolutely no grace. Things are looking up and I tried to get back on board with their membership and it just wasn’t possible to due to some disputes in how they charged me recently. I have found coverage and roadside assistant elsewhere. AAA lets have more gratitude and grace for long term customers.
Negative experience: People out there do not deal with this office they don’t care if you spend money over there it seem it’s member base company they don’t even help member rude as hell staff work in that office please find another company which they care of customers . Alway have memo customer first

Negative experience: I have had nothing but trouble with them!!!!!! I was switching from my california policy to texas. I could only speak to one agent about this. She forgot to send me documents to sign and the policy canceled! Then all of a sudden without warning in the middle of my contract my rate went up $70 a MONTH. No email nothing. I still DO NOT HAVE DOCUMENTS I have no pdf and cannot access my insurance documents. THEN she stated renters insurance would only be $16 a year with the bundle discount. ITS $16 A MONTH. AND NOW MY COMPLEX IS CONTACTING ME SAYING ITS INVALID!!!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER USE AAA AGAIN.

Negative experience: AAA has reduced th office hours for the Katy Texas area location. I have participated iN AAA as a member for 14 years. Currently, the office is open from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. Unfortunately, the office is not open during the weekend. The hours are incongruent with my work schedule. AAA demoted the insurance representative to part tim status at this location. Why bother renewing your membership with this company?

Fantastic experience: Michael Neal was easily one of the most delightful and helpful people I’ve come across in my life. He took great care of my mini cooper and made sure I got home safe and sound, not to mention the great conversation on the way there! Very grateful to have stumbled upon such an awesome guy!
Negative experience: Have written several times in November and December this year trying to get a good deal on a hotel near Los Angeles. So far have not heard back from them yet.
Negative experience: I am a 12 year premier member and today would have been my first time using notary services. The lady upfront turned me away because I did not have a "notary certificate", just a printed letter. I went to UPS across the street with what I had and they were able to notarize . They had the 2 stamps that a "notary certificate" would have which they then just filled in. I would suggest having something like this in place so you do not turn away customers.
Negative experience: Update: after nearly 20 years as a AAA customer I have decided to cancel all my policies with this company. Every. Single. Interaction. with AAA Texas is frustrating and a waste of time. I strongly suggest anyone looking for insurance use ANY OTHER company except AAA. Original post: I have been a customer of AAA for 17 years. Every year dealing with AAA has become more frustrating and arduous. Their website is regularly down, if you can speak to a person they are not empowered or capable of helping customers. This company is filled with internal barriers between regional offices, corporate, and the underwriters that creates an organization that is as frustrating as dealing with as the DMV. If you are looking to start a new policy I would avoid AAA.
Negative experience: I went in and spoke with someone and was given a quote for the auto ins renewal. I called back numerous times to talk with them about that quote and the idiots kept transferring me to the 800 number after I repeatedly asked them not to do that. They (the Katy Insurance dept.) are USELESS!
Negative experience: Horrible experience. My car battery died in the Kohls parking lot at 2pm and AAA said they would be there in 30 minutes to help jump the battery. Waited until 3pm and no one came so called again. They again said someone would come in 30 min...no one came. This went on three more times! Finally, at 4:30 pm I gave up and luckily a young man was testing his new car and was kind enough to stop and give us a jump. I will NEVER sign up for AAA again. They are horrible!
Negative experience: Going on my second year membership, first time i need their service, roadside assistance, happening right now as I am writing this review, 10:40am, 1st call the wait was 1 hour, 2nd call 11:30 ,wait was 12:19 Long story short it's 3 pm ,I'm still waiting and I have a 9 year old child with me and it's houston heat, nothing yet, so frustrated
Negative experience: We had a horrible experience. We called AAA at 12:20 and was told someone would arrive at 1:10. We waited until 1:15 to call because we knew the driver usually calls when on their way and we still hadn’t heard anything. The customer service representative was incredibly rude and informed us that the driver was still on another call. We asked for an updated ETA. She was very put off by this but finally obliged to call and ask. When she came back, she refused to give us an estimate. After further demands, she reluctantly called again and told us 30 minutes. At this point, it was 1:30 in the morning. We asked if it was really going to be 30 minutes because we had already waited longer than initially stated. She was incredibly rude when we expressed our frustration that we never even received an update saying it was going to be an hour and a half PASSED what was initially given to us. She said we needed to have a good attitude or the driver would drop us and we’d have to wait another 60 minutes. Our driver ended up calling us at 2 am, stating he was on the way. We were initially told 40 minutes and it ended up being almost 2 hours. By 2 am, we had ordered an Uber to come to pick us up bc we had lost faith in AAA. I understand running behind but we were sitting in a parking garage at 2 am and a phone call would have been nice. The fact the customer service lady was so hateful instead if apologetic was shocking. We will be ending our membership.
Negative experience: Worst service I've ever had. Been a member for 30 plus years in California. Never had an issue getting service. Moved to Texas and was told needed to switch over to AAA Texas and added our RV to the account. When my tow vehicle broke down waited nearly an hour when the tow truck was less than 10-minutes from my location. The AI operator is worthless. We I finally spoke with someone she was very rude to me. Needless to say I won't be renewing. AAA Texas is the worst ever.
Negative experience: Very rude staff that doesn’t not want to work. They explain their way into not helping you to carry on their group conversation. The branch manger needs to be replaced immediately!!!! I’m putting in a complaint.

Negative experience: I was hit by a policy holder, and it took over a month to get the answers needed to get my car fixed. I was nice until the Manager wanted to basically call me a liar and ask me where my car was getting fixed. I am not from here and up until today I was calm. He was rude. They OWE me money not the other way around. It is crazy to be treated so poorly by a company you actually do business within other aspects.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member of AAA for the better part of 20 years and always loves them. Since they switched to all automated the service, timeliness and accountability have taken a nose dive.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Cannot cancel my autopay online and only to find out it is not possible unless 7 days before due date. (It is not even specified for the customers.) Phone got transferred several times and different staff said things differently-some said the function is locked and some others said they cannot have access to my policy because of the state where I am located, and one even said my policy number is incorrect. Finally phone got transferred to a local office but I could not even leave a voice msg.
Negative experience: Spoke with a really rude agent that promised to call back and never did. She did not want to help me and was speaking underneath her breath. She was so unprofessional, I'm sure she gave me a fake name as well. Very disappointed with "Barbara"
Negative experience: Sale agent did not respond to any of my calls, emails and questions about my policy. Got my mailing address wrong on the policy. He told me that he will help me sign up for an app that track my driving, so I can get a discount. However, he never send me anything about it. One of the worse customer service that I have experienced.
Negative experience: Super disappointed in the service. Everyone had attitudes and kept transferring my call to other random people in different departments. Stayed on hold for 20 minutes and no one helped. It’s as if they were trained to be on the defensive side rather than help customers out which is unacceptable knowing that they keep their business afloat.
Negative experience: Waiting for 3.5 hours to help me with a flat tire. No call, no one showed up. It's 40 degrees outside. Called a supervisor named angel to only give poor excuse . I have used aaa for many years and this is the worst service . Wait... there was no service!

Negative experience: I need your service to work. I pay for this service, and yet I have been unsuccessful most of the times I have attempted to call for assistance. In May, I sat in a parking lot for 6 hours until I had the cops called on me, gave up and drove home on a bad tire. 2 years ago I sat on the side of the highway for over 8 hours! Your driver couldn't even find me with GPS Coordinates. The service is supposed to provide peace of mind and reliability but it does not! You have reliably failed, time and time again.
Negative experience: Not expensive is important - but reliability with claims and customer service ranks just as high - so if I need to pay a little extra for that - as I have been doing with AAA - it's worth it to me. unfortunately, AAA is losing the customer service aspect of it's operations in my opinion so I am looking around to see what else is out there after 21 years.

Fantastic experience: Just recently planned a trip with AAA. Lauryn was very helpful and friendly. She worked with our budget and suggested several options. She made the accommodations for us and answered all my questions. The trip itself was amazing. Everything went without a hitch and was stress free. Definitely will be using AAA travel services again.
Negative experience: Have waited three hours- no tow yet, about tired of AAA, about two months ago waited over 5 hours then find out that particular company couldn’t come , finally someone else came, probably won’t renew
Fantastic experience: I have had to call AAA several times in the past year for a jump start, I couldn't afford a new battery but was saving towards one. I live on Scyene Rd. Dallas, so Walter came all the time to give me a jump start. Walter has always been so kind, friendly, informative, quick and efficient too. It was he who told me that because my battery was less than 2 years old Walmart would not charge me for the battery because it was under the warrenty. He was right! A big thank you to Walter, he is a real asset to your company!
Negative experience: It had taken over 3 hours just for battery charge and I had to call several times to listen to the whole process of that automated voice before I could even talk to anyone each time I called. This is ridiculous. The service has really deteriorated over the years!!!!

Negative experience: AAA in Texas is HORRIBLE!!!! I have been a member for 25 years and have never experienced anything like this. I had been waiting for 3 hours to be towed. Fortunately for me, I asked for the phone number of the towing company before I hung up with AAA. When I called the towing company after 2.5 hours to see when I could expect them, I was told that the towing company does not service my area and they would not be coming to tow my car. After almost 4 hours, and 3 separate calls, I was finally told that I could cancel the order and get an independent company to tow my car and AAA would reimburse me. Guess what I did? Now, let's see if I actually get reimbursed. What a TERRIBLE company. I am SERIOUSLY considering cancelling my membership.
Negative experience: The driver was very rude and make racist generalized statement. l call the customer service, report him and requested for a new driver. l waited for 2 hrs then AAA send the same guy back again. The guy jump start my battery when l didn't request for it and talk down on me. He cause some fluid leakage in my car because we are not supposed to drive the car but he drove the car to where his tow truck was parked. This cause me extra to fix. l have never witness this kind of disrespect in my life. l call AAA to complain after the event, nobody has reach out to me until now. l am so disappointed.
Negative experience: It took 2.5 hours to dispatch a wrecker. Once dispatched the wrecker was there in 15 minutes. If dispatched on time I could’ve saved 3.5 hours.
Negative experience: I have been a member for eight years I locked my keys up in my car and contacted AAA they said they were going to send someone. They contacted a provider from another city when I contact that provider they said they have rejected the call from AAA one hour ago, AAA never contacted m. I waited three hours to get my car unlocked. Had to pay $100 to private company.

Positive experience: Decent prices, but there are very few offices, no 24/7 customer service, no way to add or remove vehicles in the app, and their insurance doesn't automatically draft like its supposed to.
Negative experience: I had a AAA battery fail halfway through the 3 year free replacement warranty. The battery showed 0.0 Volts overnight. Then I made the mistake of charging the battery enough to start the car, back it out of the garage, and run the engine to verify the car's charging circuitry. When the AAA service person arrived and checked the battery, he informed me that the battery was only low and said to run the engine at idle for 30 minutes. He said to drive until the battery failed again and then call AAA for replacement service. He said the only way AAA will allow the warranty replacement is if the customer is stranded somewhere with the dead battery.
Negative experience: Higer rates with poor customer service. We were loyal AAA Texas customers for over a decade, but after returning to the US last year after 4 years overseas they tried to charge us triple the rate for auto insurance because we had a gap in insurance in the US. So we went forward with Progressive for car insurance (no issues with Progressive and they understood our situation) and AAA for homeowners and roadside membership. Now 6 months later they are saying that because we don't have auto insurance they are cancelling our homeowners insurance as well. What a joke of a company. Progressive was cheaper on the homeowners policy as well, but I still felt some loyalty to AAA so I kept it, but if this is how they treat long-term customers then good luck to new ones. AAA Texas is not the company it used to be. Go with Progressive, State Farm, or any other reputable provider. They will be lower cost and will actually appreciate you as a customer and not just some faceless number in their system.
Negative experience: Been on hold over 10 minutes. Trying to renew. Moved to Tx so I need to speak with someone else. I am very busy. My time is important. Ready to let it expire
Negative experience: Bad customer service. Don’t hang up so dramatically bc someone ask questions about THEIR insurance that they’re paying through this company for renters, car and membership. Been using you for years but thinking about taking my money elsewhere. Janky insurance agents who don’t want to be at the office it seems.
Negative experience: Not sure why they even get one star, but that is the only choice. Bottom line, Hit a deer, called for tow service, 3 hours later, called again, no tow truck. 13 phone calls over 22 hour period, promises by agents and 3 supervisors to get me help. No one came, 22 hours later I resolved it myself. Still haven't gotten a call back from anyone at AAA to acknowledge the huge screw up or apologize for leaving me stranded on the side of the road. I have asked for transcripts of the "recorded phone calls" but they refuse to provided them.
Positive experience: A little bit of headache to insure a Tesla as AAA didn't want to give me a policy until I had the vehicle. However, Tesla required insurance 3 days before you pick up the vehicle. The dilemma was apparent. Eventually somebody from AAA did help me out, so third time's the charm.

Fantastic experience: Came here to get an international drivers license and the experience was incredibly easy. We are moving to South Korea for the next 3 years so needed a license to drive there. All we had to do was bring 2 passport photos, our Texas ID, and fill out a form. The cost was $20 per person and it’s valid for a year. We went on a Saturday and there was a lot of staff working. They also have a ton of travel books and info inside.
Negative experience: I have been a member over 20 years. I was denied a document to be notarized today. Katherine, receptionist had a very atrocious and apathetic attitude. The branch manager, Glenn Dillard, was of no help either.

Positive experience: I've done business with this store for over 10 years. The customer service there is great depending who you get. I've always worked with the same rep and he is great and finding deals for myself and my family. I feel like these guys are provided me the cheapest insurance around. I switched from USAA and their prices are cheaper and so far they have done a pretty good job with renters, home and car insurance.

Fantastic experience: Very positive experience! I had to go there for my international drivers license. People are very friendly and supportive! I went there without the passport sized photos but the lady there told me that I don’t have to pay anything since I have a premier membership card which I didn’t know. And they introduced me about the credit card and their benefits etc. Since they were giving away gifts upon applying the credit card, I received a nice black sports bag for free! :) Thanks for the all supports and helps, because of it I had a nice trip and driving in Japan! :)
