Fantastic experience: If you're a AAA member this is the place to go to get a real ID or renew your driver's license, everything was quick if you have all your paperwork. Go online and get the check off list.
Fantastic experience: I had my license stolen and needed to replace it. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. my new license was in the mail in two weeks.
Negative experience: Arrived at 10:20 am for check in. Had appointment at 10:30 am. Waited 30 minutes for service...as Real Id agent "Bob" skipped my appointment multiple times to service others behind me in the queue...poor experience. AAA can do better.

Positive experience: Phone waits are longer do to societal breakdown but once I got someone they spoke clearly and were knowledgeable and did what I needed efficiently. Unfortunately not always the experience with phone support in today's world.

Negative experience: very rude phone contact. agent did not have the balls to identify himself, he terminated the call after I said I could not understand what he was trying to say. Will not renew my AAA membership!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: They turned a car registration nightmare into a breeze for me! The Haverhill RMV was giving me an awful run around to book an appointment to get my car registered. I approached this AAA branch with no appointment and no membership and the branch manager helped me get signed up and registering my car all set. Thank you AAA Newburyport so much!

Negative experience: Disappointed that I am unable to locate a travel agent that'll work on weekends to assist people who work - unavailable in the northeastern states according to 1-800-AAA Agents. The customer service person was patient and sympathetic but unable to help me use my points. I have a trip planned, but couldn't use the credit card points...canceling card!

Negative experience: Could Have gone to the registry and been in and out in less time. Had an “” appointment but found out it’s just a slot time. All the slot time does is save your place in line! Not an appointment!! Waited 40 minutes after my designated slot time to actually get seen. Not helpful to use this branch for registry services. Only decent thing I got was an apology. Never again

Negative experience: completely horrible they will not take walk in rmv appointments there was nobody in line when i got there and they would still not take me and had me make an appointment a week and a half away thanks to this i will not be renewing my AAA such a horrible thing you are doing to people

Fantastic experience: Service was quick and painless. Older women at the front desk was helpful but to the point. As long as you have your paperwork, you should be smooth sailing. Do your homework for sure.

Fantastic experience: Out travel representative,Sandra was great in handling our Puerto Rico trip.She got us a good price, upgraded us to a room with an ocean view, went over insurance plan and got us the seat assignments that we requested for our flights.We had a nice customer service experience and highly recommend her and AAA Newburyport.

Fantastic experience: Because of the coronavirus we have not eaten out very much. Sylvan would be a restaurant that we would go frequently. Our recent visit at Sylvan in Salisbury turned out to be good. We took our son and grandson with us. The place was set up with plexiglass partitions between the booths, which made us feel safer. The waitress wore a mask. We took ours off when we ate.

Fantastic experience: I need to give a shout out to Allison at this branch. She was very helpful on the phone and equally as helpful in person. While I was there in person, she not only made sure things ran smoothly for me (there was a mix up), but she was beyond helpful to another customer and went out of her way to make the other customer an appointment at the RMV because the customer wasn't sure how to do it herself. Thank you! Kindness is noticed!

Negative experience: Whoever is there apparently cant be bothered to answer the phone. Called more than once, tried more than one extension. Eventually got an operator who dialed the location direct. If there is only one agent there with a customer, you answer the phone and say something, not ignore completely as the phone rings for over 5 minutes, then again... then again... then again. I tried over the span of 20 minutes. Not acceptable. Conversely, getting out of work at 1pm on a Saturday doesn't mean you ignore a call at noon. I see another user named Nancy had the same problem at the same time (noon) on the same day of the week. I will go to another less conveniently located branch, as I am happy with the company itself. AAA should get someone who is competent with customer service and/or isn't lazy at this one. For reference, it is now 12:20p on August 4th, 2018.
Negative experience: Came in at 12pm to replace a lost license and was told that they didn't have enough time to process this even though they close at 1pm and I had all the documents ready. I was told to just drive carefully?!?!?! After being a AAA member for many many years, I was extremely disappointed in their lack of service.
Negative experience: Waited 8 hours for a tow today. Have given up. . After 45 min wait to reach someone I was told they were real busy and didn't know when they would get there. Well it is cold, dark and 7:30 at night.What kind of a company doesn't have the staff needed to man the phones or help their customers. Made no difference that this was for a senior citizen in poor health stuck in a parking lot. Poor, poor service.

Fantastic experience: The staff was friendly and courteous. When I arrived, there was only one person in line ahead of me. One of the staff came over to inquire as to why I was there. When I told her, she let me know I'd need to fill out some forms in advance and told me where they were and how to fill them out. I had to leave the line, but realized this would save me time in the long run. By the time I finished the forms and got back in line, there was a family there who took a long time (imo). When it was finally my turn, the staff person was great, and the transaction efficient. I would go there again, if needed.
Fantastic experience: Quick and easy photo/license renewal with pleasant staff. After 42 years as an insurance agent, I advise members to avoid the Registry whenever possible. I spent less than 15 minutes on the renewal process.

Fantastic experience: A true pleasure using the services offered at the AAA Newburyport. I recently visited the office for a license renewal for my son. The employee that helped us with the license renewal was so exceptional that I drove out of my way to return for a passport photo. I highly recommend this office.
Fantastic experience: What great experience, I was traveling to Virginia and wanted a set of maps to become comfortable with route. The route was highlighted for me and I was given a book for restaurants and hotels. In the past I've gone in for currency exchange and pass port photo. The staff is always very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Needed to renew my license with a new picture. Went to Wilmington RMV and the line was out the door. Next day went to Newburyport AAA. No line. Took less than 5 minutes for picture, eye test, etc. Great service. I have told others about my experience and I won't hesitate to return.

Fantastic experience: I am thrilled (really!) to find the RMV registry services at my local AAA! I was able to do a plate/registration operation without driving to Haverhill or Beverly! Friendly/helpful staff! Very pleased.
Fantastic experience: I recently went in to renew my license (I just found out they offer some registry services). I was in and out of there in no time...went on my lunch break and didn't have to wait at all. The person who took my picture/worked with me to do the eye exam, etc. was extremely patient and friendly. I then moved down the counter to pick up some new maps which, again, was simple and quick. I even popped my head in on the travel agent to ask about getting a Triptik mapped out and found the process would be quick and smooth once I had the destination address I needed.
Fantastic experience: Associates very nice, patient, helpful. The office was neat, clean. Registry services VERY nice - no lines, no waiting! Definitely worth the price of admission, but even better, now we get free identity theft protection too! Very happy we are back in AAA.

Negative experience: We were told and given a pamphlet that there is a 24 hour number to call when you are on a road trip and get tired but haven't reached your destination and need to find accommodations. The agent said you could call this number and tell them, "I'm in such and such a place and I need a hotel room with a 'whatever-sized' bed, non-smoking and under $???" and that the agent on the other end of the line would find you the options near you.....24/7. Well guess what" We tried it and the agent said that, in fact, NO, AAA does not do that and the department that could have helped us closes at 5:00. We were caught in torrential rain in Delaware and it was 11:30 at night. Bad move AAA agent.

Fantastic experience: Great experience renewing my driver's license. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very fast. It was much easier than going to the RMV.
Fantastic experience: They were able to renew my license and do my vision test within 10 minutes. There was no wait and the facilities were clean. They also updated my license picture. A great experience all around.
