The process took a little longer than the original estimate, but they had warned me it could happen and kept in touch regularly until the points could be used. Payment at the end was practically instant. Very happy with the service.

Fantastic experience: Selling airline miles (points) is somewhat complex, but the people at The Miles Market patiently walked me through it. I was particularly pleased to note the great care that was taken to preserve the security of the transaction at every step and providing regular progress/status updates.

Negative experience: reached out to MM and received a quote for my miles which I was pleased with. The next step is to provide them with access to your airline miles account. I understood and agreed to that with the understanding that I would be paid upfront and they would then use the miles in my account for their customers. The next step however was a complete switch around. They indicated that they had now decided - with no reason provided - that they could not risk paying upfront. I was selling them about half of my points so not sure where their risk level had changed. Now the deal was that they would book tickets out of my account but not pay me until the travel was completed which could be up to 6 weeks or longer after they took the points. So the risk became mine to bear with them assuring me that I would get paid but no real plan other than they did this with other sellers and never had an issue. At that point I walked away. Disappointing. They don’t tell you about this switch until AFTER they access your miles account which is BS

Negative experience: Scam. The upfront documentation states get paid today. Then it also says payment in advance. Then when I get an offer, they say they have to find an appropriate booking first and then they will pay me for the miles used and I was like wait so you are not going to pay in advance like it states and then they come back with this might take up to eight weeks. Such fault advertising to say paid today and all payments are made in advance which none of that is true. I would stay far away.

Negative experience: Went to sell my unused miles and got a quote. I was going to accept once my info was reviewed, it was reviewed and came back with totally different terms. No upfront payment and they gave me no reasoning other than “after looking at my account”. I wrote back explaining I would like a reason and it was shady the terms changed . I was told they don’t have to give me another reason and they’ll be happy to cancel. Terrible CS and false advertising.

After agreeing on a price, giving them access to my account, and providing them with personal information needed for account access, they spring it on you that they need to charge your credit card and want you to give them your credit card verification details (last 4 numbers, ccv, etc).

Negative experience: Made offer to buy my miles with limited validity (knowing full well the time left on the miles) filled out details waited a week for payment to arrive, then when following up got a system generated template they weren't interested anymore.. wasting over a week when could've sold elsewhere. Would avoid these guys...

Negative experience: They not only used more of my miles than was agreed upon but also sent me less money! Steer clear, especially Anna Cole who is the rep I was speaking with. Never give them access to your account until you’ve been paid what you were quoted, not even to supposedly “verify”. You can tell the 5 star reviews are phony by how they’re worded.

Negative experience: Payment was swift however in addition to the avios sold (72k) an additional 2000 were used without my permission. In addition to this british airways became suspicious of the activity of my account and have locked my account, deeming my remaining avios worthless. My advice would be not to risk using this service.
