Fantastic experience: Outstanding knowledge and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: A smile and a big hello as soon as I walked in the door. I just moved back to the Midwest after 18 years on the west coast and I'm hoping that this becomes my regular dive center. So far the service was quick and top-notch. I'm honestly not used to that.

Fantastic experience: The trip was wonderful, dives were fun, lodgings were nice, and the dive guides were great. I’d especially like to compliment Noel on the job he did. He kept the group informed and was always there to help. In particular, as I was working on my Advanced Open Water certification, he was very helpful to me. Not only did he do a great job on working with me on my adventure dives, but he gave me lots of tips in general on how to “Think like a diver”.

Fantastic experience: Right off the bat - very helpful and friendly staff. I had to get open water certified very suddenly and they got me in immediately. They even helped me figure out where to go in Florida to do the open water dives since it isn’t diving weather yet in MN. Hannu is a patient and thorough instructor who took me from a complete “I know nothing about diving” person to open dive certified in less than a week. My instructor in FL even commented that I was very well prepared and trained. I now have a few friends who are interested in learning to dive and I will 100% be recommending Aquaventure - Hannu specifically!

Fantastic experience: Melissa was an *excellent* divemaster instructor! She was patient, really made sure we all understood what she was sharing with us, asked us if we had questions. I loved her teaching style. My son and I both felt very safe and comfortable throughout the class. She's an expert diver and really knows everything you'd want to know about it forward and backward. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I spent 10 hours in the pool at Aquaventure for my Scuba Certification confined training dives with Hannu Koho as my instructor. Hannu is an excellent teacher. Very patient and incredibly easy to understand. He taught me what I need to know in order to move to the next step of certification. I will be back for more instruction at Aquaventure - hopefully with Hannu.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I walked in with aspirations to become PADI Certified Open Water Scuba Divers and after a few short weeks, of focus and effort, this happened with the help and guidance of the staff here. Everyone was wonderful. Those who helped us choose and purchase the right (not the most expensive) equipment and the instructors who guided us through skill training were a joy to interact with and be around. What's more, we encountered some hiccups, which gave the folks at Aquaventure an opportunity to shine and "shine" they did. I highly recommend the people at this shop for all your scuba and snorkeling needs.

Fantastic experience: Did my Open Water Diver certification through Aquaventure, and it was a blast! All the instructors I interacted with were kind, patient, and passionate! The price was competitive, and would highly recommend taking the plunge into scuba diving with Aquaventure. I'll be returning for more certification courses in the future for sure. The dive shop itself also has a lot of selection, I was able to assemble my kit right at the shop with plenty of options to pick from. Positive experience: I consider myself a good swimmer and have wanted to SCUBA for quite some time . Course objectives were thorough and in a common sense format. Fantastic experience: My wife and I had the great pleasure of walking into Aquaventure to purchase our new equipment and schedule an Advanced Open Water course. Their dive shop was clean, bright and filled with plenty of great gear. Brittany and Jace expertly answered all of our questions, helped us make great choices and got us sized correctly. No rush, no nonsense, it was a great expirence. A couple of days later we spoke with Melissa who helped us schedule our advanced training with Adam Payeur. Adam was an exceptional instructor! Very experienced, extremely patient and had an awesome attitude. My wife and I loved the advanced training and had an absolute blast during the dives. Lexie helped us with our suit and tank rental and Steve helped us when we returned everything. Fantastic experience: After being out of diving for years, I signed up at Aquaventure for a refresher course. 10 years later, I’ve completed several advanced certifications and I’m a much more confident diver. With Steve’s encouragement and guidance, I have also been able to merge my love of photography with diving. Jolene makes dive travel so easy and takes us to truly spectacular locations. The whole Aquaventure team is great!

They are two of the best in the business and offer the best in gear, instruction and local and international dive travel in the region. They are also your go to folks for anything related to underwater photography including instruction. In doing any business with them they will treat you right and they are a lot of fun. I taught SCUBA and UW Photography (including authoring two books on the topic) for over 20 years and 5,000 dives in Key Largo, FL, and elsewhere before retiring 8 years ago, so I've been around. Fantastic experience: Just returned from Little Cayman diving trip with AquaVenture Dive and Photo Center. This has been my fourth trip with them and it is hard to believe it keeps getting better and better! Owners/Organizers/Divers Jolene and Steve, again, ensured the trip for my husband and I was well-put-together and they communicated details thoughtfully and efficiently. Trip leader, Hannu, added extraordinary and authentic grace, while making sure we all were, and felt, taken care of. The resort-Little Cayman Beach Resort-was, quite frankly, the best I have stayed at. It was clean, quaint, and included top-notch food offerings. I can’t wait for our next trip to Palau!! I highly recommend AquaVenture Dive and Photo Center for all diving needs: travel, training, equipment.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was helpful on getting me signed up. They answered all my questions. This is how I got started with scuba diving. My instructor Noel was very knowledgeable and had a lot of dives under his belt. I also feel comfortable going back just to ask questions about dives and about diving gears. I got my dive certification here and most of my scuba gears. I definitely recommend this place for new scuba divers and experienced divers.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I went to a SCUBA refresher course as it has been a few years since we last dove. Michelle was wonderful to work with. She was patient and had lots of practical advise. In a very short time we were remembering everything as if our last dive was yesterday. The fun of diving also returned almost instantly. This class was so worth it and Michelle made it so easy.

Fantastic experience: Wow! My oldest kid, 18 years old, felt very apprehensive about learning scuba. He desperately wanted to be able to do it, but had many fears surrounding actually accomplishing it. He attempted a group class with an excellent and highly competent instructor at Aquaventure but it did not go well. He really needed time to process each step and get a handle on each idea. The initial class went great for the other 3 members in our family who took it through aquaventure with Hanu. Couldn’t say enough great things about how it went for them all! I called Aquaventure after he flunked out and arranged for a 1:1 class with Noel. Although I was a bit worried that he’d further feel defeated and it’d be a waste of money, I was delighted to see what a great fit Noel was for him. He took the class painstakingly slow to accommodate my son. He never once got annoyed or frustrated by my son’s need to take things at a much slower than normal pace. He encouraged him and challenged him at a level he could handle. It took much longer than a typical student would need, but Noel kept the goal in mind and worked with him to get every goal met! It was a miracle! I am so thankful for how hard Noel worked to grow my son’s confidence and make scuba a future possibility for my son. I can’t say enough about how great he was to work with! And Hanu too, he got the rest of my crew certified quickly and they had an excellent experience! Would highly recommend both instructors for certification. My words of advice after this: just know what you need going into your certification to set everyone up for success.

Negative experience: Took in a Suunto DC for battery replacement. The tech sheared off the fasteners so now I’m out a computer. Aquaventures offered no viable solution… Highly recommend you service your gear elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I had a lot of anxiety about diving and had the best experience with Aquaventure. Sherwin was an amazing instructor! My husband loves scuba diving and I had wanted to get certified for a while, but I do not like water touching my face and have been diagnosed with anxiety. Water in my face while swimming, in the shower, holding your breath underwater as a kid: I avoided it all. Once I was able to snorkel okay, I decided it was time to try diving. During the first parts of diving in 3 feet of water I had small freak outs but soon got myself under control. I also had a bit of an anxiety attack during my first lake dive. Though out the whole experience I had a mix of anxiety at times and confidence at other. The anxiety strategies I already use in my daily life helped me get through, but I know the only way I was able to finish this course was because of my instructor Sherwin. He was so kind and reassuring. He had a calm presence and never made me feel like I was holding up the class. He was able to make me feel very comfortable with every aspect of diving. I feel very confident in the water now and know that I will be able scuba dive comfortably after this course. I cannot say enough good things about Sherwin and my experience. When I got sick during the course and had to miss some of my dives, Sherwin and the dive shop worked with me and did an amazing job at making sure I got the rest of my dives in. They made sure that I would be able to finish the course before things got to cold to do the open dives at the lake and I would be certified before my trip this winter. I felt like they really cared about me as a student. During my open dives another instructor accompanied us. This instructor also did a great job and was very knowledgeable. I have been very impressed with everyone I have encountered at Aquaventure.

They kept it fun but also made sure we understood each step of the certification and why it's important to know. They had a good balance of accountability with fun. Fantastic experience: I joined my friend Bob for a semi-private class with Hannu Koho at Aquaventure. A few comments: 1) The staff at AV were super helpful from the get-go -- helping me pick the right gear; 2) Hannu expertly handled our class and was all the things you look for from a good instructor: he was kind, clear and firm; he explained the "why" for the things we were learning; he was thoughtful in his feedback (solid affirmations when getting things right, helpful explanations when I didn't get things right); respectful of our time. This PADI course is a big time commitment, so having an instructor you like and respect is critical. I was very, very happy with my experience with AquaVenture and our instructor Hannu. Highly recommend.

The prices here and very comparable when looking online. Be sure to check out the group dives that they do as well. Negative experience: They need to change the rule let people buy tank or fill air without certification what happen if people had certification if they die during diving are you guy pay for funeral I don't think so those who want to take class let them take class who doesn't want to take class like me I know what I am doing if I go diving let them fill up tank without certification some they scared not me

I completed the confined dives alongside my son and this entire team was patient, kind, and didn’t fail to show him a skill more than once. They also explained the safety and importance of each skill. I’d like to shout out their wealth of knowledge about diving and fun loving nature! You can also sense and hear Steve’s passion about marine conservation. Leave without a trace and use the knowledge you gain from below to make better decisions out of the water. Do not hesitate to sign-up and by day 2, you feel your nerves melt away. Cannot recommend this dive shop enough and will use them for future certifications!

Fantastic experience: Starting my quest to get my Open Water Certificate with Aquaventure Dive was a great first step. They were all extremely helpful. You can tell their professionalism with a look at their meticulous shop. The pool training led by Hannu Koho was a great experience. His attention to detail and preparation for those two 4 hour sessions was pro and went beyond the requirements a couple of times with more advanced exercises. All in all a great experience. Now on to the open water part.

Fantastic experience: Although I grew up a big fan of the TV show Sea Hunt, I never imagined that I would one day be scuba diving. Thanks, Hannu, for working so hard to get me certified and for leading the expedition to Cozumel! The scuba diving was well beyond what I imagined it could be, the resort was phenomenal, and every piece of the travel experience was well orchestrated. Although my diving talent is not TV-worthy there is no doubt another aquaventure diving and travel experience will soon be a re-run!

Fantastic experience: Dive trip to Cozumel with Aquaventure at the Iberostar and diving with Dressel Divers was excellent. Resort was great. Clean with great service. Drinks on the beach at sunset were top notch. Dive master, boat crew, and staff at Dressel were awesome.

Fantastic experience: Love this Scuba shop! Been going there since it opened. Full service shop. Love the onsite pool for training. The travel trips are fantastic. No worries, just pack your stuff and get to the airport. Everything else is arranged. Great people working in the shop and on the trips.

Fantastic experience: Aquaventure refresher course was incredible and Brittany was an amazing instructor. She was patient and clear with all of her instructions. The gear used was also great quality! It was a fun time and I highly recommend. Also way better priced than anywhere else and they let you use their gear for the refresher (just bring your own mask/fins or buy them at their shop).

Fantastic experience: I took my EFR and rescue diver classes with Aquaventure and had an awesome experience. My instructors, Erik and Melanie, were patient, efficient, explained things thoroughly, and gave great feedback. I was so impressed with everything that I booked my first liveaboard (ever!) through the shop. I can also attest to the great customer service on the shop floor and with the service department.

Fantastic experience: Got my Open Water certification here and had a fabulous experience. Staff were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and kind when I purchased/rented items. Noel was my instructor and he is a rockstar! I feel very confident in my skills and ability to problem solve while diving due to his guidance. Noel and Sherwin (who is also amazing and taught me well!) were my open water dive instructors at Square Lake, and I'm so happy with my experience. I'll be back for any further certifications, gear, and hopefully trips throughout my dive career!

Melanie, Hannu, Heather and Ryan all did parts of our training, and every one of them was wonderful, supportive, positive and a good teacher. Positive experience: They have pretty much everything you could need to dive, but they aren't the most organized. Still recommend doing one of their fun dives and shopping for great deals around Black Friday.

My daughter and niece just finished their Jr. Open Water certification and their instructors, Noel and Drew went above and beyond to make sure the girls were safe, comfortable had a ton of fun diving. While other shops would rush people through, they spent lots of extra time with the girls because when it comes to diving, absolutely nothing is more important than safety! Everyone at the shop has been incredibly helpful and wonderful to work with but Noel especially made this an experience these girls will never forget. And I feel 100% confident that when we go diving together in a few months they will be awesome divers!

Fantastic experience: This shop is amazing. I'm a dive noob and had a million questions--Aquaventure was patient enough to answer all of them (shoutout to Brittany, the MVP). Got all of my new (to me) gear (BCD, regulator, tanks) serviced there and everything went without a hitch. I was certified in March 2022 and fell in love with the ocean. I gifted my brother an open water course for his college graduation. I don't really care about my brother's graduation but I needed a dive buddy (so I don't die). There was a hiccup with PADI's registration but Aquaventure quickly fixed it. It's a testament to their excellent customer service. I cannot recommend them enough!
