Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Chinavisasolution. Was searching for agency for long time, and got to know them from someone’s post in social media. I do have concerns at the beginning, since they are kinda of cheaper than anyone else. But it turns out I made a good choice. I asked him couple questions in the application, he immediately knows which part and what to fill out. His answers made it very easy to prepare the documents. It took me months to find someone, weeks to prepare all documents, but a phone call to Shawn solved all. Shawn is professional, efficient and nice. It just took him couple days to get me the visa.

Negative experience: At first Shawn was helpful. I asked is it necessary to provide my parents' US citizenship papers, something they no longer have or lost because it's been decades even though we all have US passports, Shawn told me to go do some research and ended the call. This was only the 3rd interaction. I emailed and left a voicemail after gathering all available documents and I have not heard back when previously Shawn would get back to me the same day. It seems asking that simple question annoyed him but what can I do.

I tried a different, larger, and more well-known firm with horrible results. Use these folks, follow their instructions, and all will go smoothly.

Negative experience: Confusing service where they did not have a Z Visa on the website nor clear indication of which documentation to use on the site. They failed to mention other documentation that had to be used like the country visited form. They thought I had to use the SF embassy instead of the LA embassy which was a red flag got an agency to get wrong. Other agencies require a passport picture physically like CIBT or Oasis but this one doesn't require it. I'm not sure how rules change per Chinese regulation for one agency. They failed to mention that the COVA optional fields were not optional when I was filling it out. Quite unprofessional in how they blamed me for mistakes but didn't choose to disclose important information before filling out the documentation.

Fantastic experience: Shawn is great and just helped us get 3 China Visas coming from KS! He answered all our many many many questions. We were worried about the process but Shawn made it easy. Would recommend to anyone. The only thing I would suggest is to have more status updates (ie when it's at the consulate, when it has arrived to Chicago, etc.) Maybe something programmed onto the website? Other than that, an amazing service!!! We are going to recommend to our friends and family!!

Eight days ago, I went to China Consulate General in Chicago to submit my visa application in person, and I prepared a stamped USPS Priority Mail Express envelope with my address for the Consulate to return my passport in mail. But the staff at the Consulate told me that in-person pickup is mandatory. I was lucky to meet Shawn Lu at the Consulate. Fantastic experience: Shawn got myself and a colleague of mine a 10-year business visa. From the time we sent our info to him to the time we got it back was 17 calendar days (detailed below). The entire process was pretty seamless, although there's still a LOT of paperwork you have to do (no fault of his). He was easy to deal with, the only thing that could improve is his availability for phone calls. I was only able to catch him via phone once, and tried numerous times. Given the time sensitive nature, I would prefer to speak by phone but he still got the job done via email pretty quick. Shawn also reviewed all of my information before I even gave him a dollar, which was much appreciated. Here's an overview of the timeline for ours. Note that I already had much of the paperwork prepared prior to contacting Shawn. I would estimate about a week to prepare the paperwork on your side in addition to what's outlined below. 5/2: Contacted Shawn with initial questions 5/3: I sent all information via Fedex Oneday 5/4: Shawn received 5/18: Visa received by Shawn and shipped back to us via Fedex Oneday 5/19: Visa's received back to my address

Fantastic experience: Shawn is the staff helping me getting the visa. I would like to share the process hoping that it may help other people: the price was best (in Mar 2023) comparing with other companies. The timeline for me is as follows: (1) I spent a few days collecting materials and filling the visa application form online; (2) I asked ChinaVisaSolutions to check the form I filled; I called Shawn a couple of times and he was patient and nice, and found a few errors that I made in filling the form! This steps took about two weeks, probably because they have lots of cases to handle; (3) Then I mailed the passport to ChinaVisaSolutions, and after two weeks, I got the passport with the desired visa on it. I highly recommend their service!

I came to CVS with an emergency work visa situation, and Shawn pulled every string he could to make sure every i was dotted and t was crossed. He always answers his phone. Fantastic experience: Awesome and quick service for a Tourist (L) Visa. Spoke to Shawn via email and he reviewed my documents prior to shipment. Caught a boneheaded mistake on my part that was easily fixed. He also advised me what supporting documents to submit - flight and hotel documentation, etc. He advised me accurately on shipping / consulate / and return shipping times. I did pay for overnight shipping on the return of the documents, but it was only $10 more than regular shipping. I received emails every step of the way - when they received my documents, when I was charged (paid by CC), when they were dropped off at consulate, and when my documents would be shipped back. I got my documents back a week (5 business days) after mailing them to China Visa Solutions. This gave me some security, as I am leaving on my trip in 10 days. I think China Visa Solutions was very cost effective compared to many of the other visa services I've come across. Would recommend to anyone and use again if/when needed.
