Fantastic experience: About a week ago went to Atlantic City and stayed at the Tropicana hotel and it was such a good trip everybody on the the bus was so nice we all had a really good time and I will be booking another trip I highly recommend Anderson .

Fantastic experience: This trip to Lancaster, Pa's Sight and Sound theater, was our first bus trip. It was fantastic. Kevin, our driver, and Maria , our guide did an absolutely great job providing a safe and carefree experience. Anderson provided an itinerary that was perfectly geared to senior travelers. The eateries, entertainment venues, and such were excellent and good value. The Mt Hope winery event was a dumpster fire of the highest order, but that was out of Anderson's control, and Maria worked hard to minimize the problems Mt Hope created. But to be entirely honest, some of our group may have appropriated some dinnerware as souvenirs. I say "may have" because we weren't the only group there. But Mt Hope chose to accuse us. A really unfortunate situation that Maria handled gracefully with minimum impact on her charges. The tour bus was clean. The seats were uncomfortable for large people, but Kevin gave us good advice on solutions for future trips. The bus had a surprisingly large restroom that no one wanted to use. Maria and Kevin adjusted the itinerary to provide rest stops every 60-90 minutes. At the end of the trip, we were 30 min behind schedule but the passengers had a comfortable trip. Since this was our one and only trip, we have nothing to compare it to. But Aanderson gave us an enjoyable trip at good value. We're are already planning future adventures.

Negative experience: This was the worst tour experience ever. I only give it a star because there is no option for zero stars. When our scheduled event ran over our group advised the tour guide. She responded that if we did not return to the bus at the scheduled time we would have to find our own transportation. We were in a high crime area at night. This event was the reason for the tour. When only a few people retuned to the bus at the scheduled time we were given more time to return. However, the guide then refused to stop for food knowing that there were no open dining options at the hotel or in the area of the hotel. We were left without food. I complained to the company and they catergorized the threats of abandonment as reminder texts. They also had no sympathy for the numerous senior citizens who were left without food for an extended period of time.

Fantastic experience: We went to the Blue Mountains with Kat. Our family (2 adults and 2 children) had an outstanding experience and were really happy we took this trip

Fantastic experience: This was my first bus trip and it was wonderful! We went to Orlando, Florida for 6 days. Joe and Steve were our drivers and they got us there and back safely. They took turns driving so they could rest also. Maria was our tour guide. She was awesome! When we came across a landmark she came on the speaker and filled us in on what we were seeing. Also we played a game and watched movies. At the hotel she would see our bus group and ask if we needed anything and how was everything . She was right there if we needed her. Everytime we left a stop she took head count and would make sure everyone was on the bus. Nice to have someone like that traveling with you. Hotel was beautiful and spotless clean. I really had a good time and made new friends. We all plan to go in December again. Hope Anderson Coach schedules it in December.

Negative experience: We were scheduled to leave on a Friday at midnight and the bus didn't show. After a talk with Nikki, the weekend dispatch, she assured me that she had sent emails to a lot of different departments and they would be contacting me. No one has ever called me. Not only that because of their mistake, our organization lost over $4000. To boots, they put the blame on me! The only reason they got the stars that they did was because the bus was clean! I would not recommend this bus company to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I would like to update my review and go from 3 stars to 5 stars. I am impressed that a representative from Anderson called me to discuss the issues we had with the hotel. They were sincerely interested in my concerns. That is indicative of a top notch company. We will definately travel with Anderson again as long as they are not using the Country Inn of Lancaster. ..................We are on an Anderson Tour to Lancaster, PA right now and are very disappointed. We were told that we would be in the newly remodeled section of the hotel we are staying at.....instead....we got rooms with musty, moldy smells....water stains and black mold around the windows....very old and worn bedding.....dirty refrigerators and only the bathrooms were remodeled. This is unacceptable for the high price we paid for this Tour.

Fantastic experience: We hired Anderson for our wedding and they were great. Very friendly and easy to communicate with on the phone. Our driver was on time and transported guests to / from our reception. Highly recommend using them for anyone looking!

Negative experience: Our group was very disappointed with our Anderson tour experience to Mackinac Island. Joe our driver was good but our guide, Marie was terrible!! She didn't have enough supplies, gave instructions and then changed them several times and often would not let the group know that the plan had changed. She said we could ask questions but when a question was asked she treated it like it was stupid or she would say she would answer it later and sometimes would and sometimes would not. The film malfunctioned onWe may try Anderson again but never with a tour that Marie is facilitating. Sadly it seems the quality of the organization has declined!

Fantastic experience: June 3 2024 I went on Anderson Coach from Erie to Harrisburg. My driver was Beth and she was absolutely amazing. I am certain she was there 45 minutes before our trip because I went past the pick up point to get coffee as I was early. The bus was clean, Beth was very friendly and courteous. On our return June 4th , a deer ran out in front of us and she was amazing no problem for her to handle and the deer was not hit. A crazy driver went up on the curb of the sidewalk in Pittsburgh and evidently around her according to the other passengers.... I had my head down reading and never noticed anything that is how smoothly she handled it !!!! THANK YOU BETH YOU WERE A PLEASURE and WORTH YOUR WEIGHT IN GOLD !!! I will definitely be traveling Anderson Coach again.

Negative experience: Terrible service. Prepaid for a tour bus and over 1 hour late, wrecked our plan outing. Undependable

Fantastic experience: The bus had brand new seats. It was very clean. The driver and assistant are very nice, helpful and clear on times when we depart and arrived at or destination and gave us info on the places we were going.

Fantastic experience: Accommodating friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable Buses. Always a great experience.

Negative experience: ⚠️ don't ever let your special needs child work in this cleaning bay. Not special needs friendly. Very abusive.

Positive experience: I chose Anderson because of the competitive pricing and their punctuality. I was not disappointed in each. They may not be the cheapest option, but they also are not the most expensive. They showed up on time and were flexible when our wedding day required some schedule alterations. The original scheduled driver actually called out sick, but Anderson was able to replace him without it impacting the schedule at all. In fact I didn't even know we had a new driver until he introduced himself on the drive to our venue. Smaller companies with less drivers don't have other staff on call - and the last thing you want these days is a bus driver showing up to work sick with all your older relatives getting on the same bus. The only reason for the lost star is that the driver tried to tell jokes over the loud speaker for most of the ride when all we really wanted to do was talk to our families and enjoy the ride with one another. Other than that, stellar punctual service that I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I believe this was my 4th time with Anderson. This time we did the 12 hr NYC trip. Would recommend! It was nice to ride and not have to drive, especially in NYC. 12 hrs was a good amount of time to do several things. Bus was clean and comfortable. We felt safe on the ride. Both the driver and the aide was helpful, friendly and professional. We made several rest area/travel plaza stops throughout the ride. My only complaint for this last trip is that they bus was an hour late picking us up, due to heavy traffic going into the city. It would have been nice to be notified on what was going on. Wish Anderson would have sent out a mass text or email to everyone to keep us updated. Due to issues like traffic, I know that a new eta would not be able to be made but just to let us know that the bus was enroute and traffic was causing pick up delay. Overall, everything was wonderful, would do it again and would recommend to others!

Fantastic experience: Recently went on a Nowalk tour to New York and Pennsylvania. We were traveling on an Anderson coach. We were on a smaller coach. Our driver was Xavier aka The X-man. The driver was very professional. He was always looking out for his passengers. He was very kind and very courteous to our group. He was a very safe driver. He was a lot of fun to be around. I was the first of our group to meet him. I will definitely travel on Anderson in the future due to the excellent service Anderson Coach provided.

Negative experience: I swear I'm not usually the kind of person to leave reviews like this, but a bus broke down outside my apartment and would not turn it's backup beeping noise off for almost an hour and a half. I get emergencies happen, and buses break down, but backup noise for that long ?? I'm genuinely baffled. As a company you should have better procedures in case of emergencies like that, if not only for the passengers but for the people in the neighborhood who didn't sign up to deal with that level of noise for that long.

Negative experience: June 11, 2023 to Niagara Fall Bus 16 the most horrible smell on the bus on the way down and back, and the bus driver had no concerns about we told him he had several excuses horrible horrible trip had to keep spraying perfume the people in the back of the bus we’re wearing a mask I want a refund!! yes

Positive experience: Have had some great traveling experiences through Anderson bus tours, I have been to NYC, DC- the hotels you stay at are top notch and the guides and drivers are very knowledgeable. Go on an adventure and let them handle the rest.

Negative experience: My wife and daughter went on a NYC day trip on Anderson on the way there the bus ran over several highway cones and the speed alert kept going off to slow down but they made it there had a great time but on the way home the bus was swerving and the speed sensor kept going off my wife and daughter started texting me that they were scared and wanted me to come get them somewhere in the mountains of PA the driver admitted she couldn't drive anymore she was falling asleep the company's answer to this was to put their bus between two other busses coming back from NY and have one of the passengers stay up and talk to the driver so she wouldn't fall asleep if they didn't have someone else available to come get them they should have put them up in a hotel and sent another bus in the morning but they let the driver continue on back to youngstown risking the safety of everyone on the bus and on the road

Fantastic experience: Worked closely with Emily to set up transportation for my wedding. She was quick to provide a quote, answer any questions, and make adjustments as necessary.

Negative experience: We took an Anderson bus to New York City this past weekend, the bus itself was okay. Had a bathroom with toilet paper stocked , plenty of storage for my belongings, the seats aren’t real big though. Only issues from my end was our particular driver of bus #17. He was constantly going off the road, hitting the rumble strips, slamming on the breaks. Once we got closer into New York City through the Lincoln Tunnel , our driver was merely inches away from scratching the entire right side of the bus off the tunnel walls. Did the same exact thing on the way there on the highways too , with semis. Seemed way too close and all over the road for my liking. And not to mention our pick up time was supposed to be 9 o’clock at night. Everyone was there and ready to be picked up around 8:45, we waited in 30 degree temperatures for the bus to show up at 10 o’clock. The drivers should have KNOWN to leave earlier to pick their passengers up earlier considering it’s a heavily populated city with traffic. And there was no update given unless asked where they were at, multiple times. Again, the bus was fine , it was just the driver we had. We we’re definitely sketched out by his driving but we did get there in 1 piece , so I’m thankful lol but definitely not riding on another bus again.

Positive experience: Great trip with Anderson, could of done better with the bags we received...half a loaf of bread, don't get me wrong bread was great but a half of loaf.

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience with a very unsafe driver. It took me three days to get the safety manager to reach back out to me when he finally did even though I have dash cam proving the erratic driving of their driver he said he could not find any evidence, and that there was nothing that they would be doing. Hopefully the owners take the family member out of that safety position and put a real safety manager in so that somebody doesn’t get killed the next time one of their drivers has road rage.

Negative experience: Anderson has a hepa cleaner air machine it only works when the bus is on well when the bus is turned off it stops working and the tour guide is supposed to turn it on after everystop well not once did they turn it on so it's basically useless and your breathing everyones air without that the company needs to train the tour guides to turn it on after the bus is started bk up ive been on severtrips with them since covid and once its off the tour guide never everrrrrrr turns it bk on i even had to remind them every time so i know how to turn it on so every time i got bk on the bus I turned it on smh

Fantastic experience: Day trip from Youngstown to Detroit. The driver was absolutely terrific. The bus service was used for transporting family for funeral service. Anderson Coach just made the day better for family memories in a difficult time. I would not hesitate to recommend Anderson Coach and Travel.

Negative experience: Had a last minute trip for a funeral, received a quote, had to change the date, was told it would not be a problem , received an updated quote that was actually cheaper. Went to make payment online and couldn't. Called Ester and left messages and wouldn't return call. Called from a different number and miraculously she answered. Took my payment and immediately said, oh we don't have any drivers. Really! And then said she would keep looking and never called back. I believe they underbid and instead of being forthright about it made up an excuse. Fortunately we found another company that accommodated our last minute needs. Oh and she had the nerve to sarcastically say, well you waited until the last minute. Well Ester no one plans to die! Very unprofessional and would never use or refer!

Negative experience: Had the experience of traveling near them, very impatience and cutting other busses and passenger cars off trying to get out of a parking lot.

Fantastic experience: We chose Anderson for our wedding shuttle, one for the girls in the morning, and one for the full wedding party at the end of the night. I stick around to help clean up so unfortunately I was not on board, however we received nothing but great feedback from all our party. As far as booking went, I'm sure I tested Sam with different schedules, times, and options to find the best selection for us, but Anderson was always tentative with replying back. For what it costed us, it was well worth the piece of mind of being allowed to let loose, and not have people driving after our wedding.

Fantastic experience: Was on a trip to the Pro-Life March in Washington DC last week, got stranded on the Pa Turnpike for 28 hours in the snow storm. Our driver Franklin was THEE BEST!! We never worried about our safety, he was Awesome!!

Positive experience: Family ran tour company. Staff is very friendly and tour guides/chaperons are usually very knowledgeable. Washington DC and New York City are popular destinations each with several single and multiple day trips throughout the year, some structured others on your own. Gettysburg/Hershey, Mackinac Island MI and Niagara Falls are other popular tour destinations, but far from all of them. They will also work with you to charter a private group tours. Buses are kept clean and are very relaxing. They're now all equipped with power outlets and WiFi. I use to take trips with them almost every summer growing up. Always had a great time. Haven't been able to go for awhile (no summer vacations once you become an adult - ugh) but am looking forward to correcting that either later this summer or sometime next year. Its a great way to get away. Just show up at one of their multiple pick up locations, board the bus and relax until you arrive at your destination.
