Fantastic experience: Even though this hotel is currently undergoing major renovations our stay here wasn't impacted at all by the work going on, our room was very clean and comfortable and the new owners and staff were super friendly. We were here for the multi-day RV show on the BIG E property across the street so the location was perfect for us to just walk back and forth, we'll definitely stay here again next year and look forward to seeing the progress of the renovations!
Fantastic experience: Old reviews had me worried, but new management has done a great job in a very short amount of time! Room was clean, bed very comfortable, and staff friendly! It’s clearly a work in progress but I’m excited to see improvements continue!
Fantastic experience: This place has had renovations and is still working through its transitions. With that said, I have stayed a couple of times, and both times were great. The location is in a neighborhood and quiet yet still close to dining out. It has an old school appeal and charm. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
Negative experience: This place is disgusting. The mattress had blood stains, the toilets had residue, it has a foul odor, big roaches, the bath tub was filthy with mold. I may have seen a bed bug because the roaches were way bigger. Do not waste money at this place. They definitely do not care about their guests.

Negative experience: SCAM ALERT! DO NOT BOOK BEWARE. We booked this room 6 months ago for the Big E this weekend thru THEIR WEBSITE. They immediately took out the full amount for the 2 night stay from my credit card. No communication from then til we arrived on the 23. When we arrived on Sept 23 we were shocked to find the place was closed. The guy there said "Oh yeah expedia third party listings haven't been updated this place has been closed for 7 months. you can get your money back from them" and was "shocked" to learn that the website. I understand allegedly a tragedy led to it being closed, but they still are stealing peoples money. And because of the lots proximity to the Big E they have the audacity to be charging people money to park there. Plus if you'll notice if its still here the "owners" response to my review before editing is "thank you for being a valued customer we hope you come back" Theyre website and responses are being run by bots so they can steal as much money as they can before being shut down. No hope pf getting my money back but I'm determined to get their website and third party listings pulled.

Negative experience: This inn is a scam there is no one here the inn is closed. They will steal your money and keep it without offering you the room you payed for. These dirty mother****** I never got to stay in the hotel. There is way to contact them because they have voicemail or anything. Don’t fall for these petty replies there is no way to stay here. I was charged 120$ with no way to get it back. They have not attempted to make anything right.

Negative experience: So I booked a room onlinethis past Saturday 4/2, direct through their website. Figured it was going to be a dive place due to location and having never heard of them, but was in a pinched so I reserved a room. Arrived there and everything was completely dark, office was closed, no other entrance was open, whole place was dark except a door next to a car port where there was a mini van parked. Knocked several times, no answer. Not a single other car in the parking lot except an SUV in the back corner that was pretty much in pieces. Had to scrambled to find another room elsewhere. But, mind you...my card was charged for the full amount of the room with taxes as though I had actually stayed there. Even though when the rservation was made, it was supposed just be a hold placed on the card ( like at every other hotel I have stayed at), but was still charged and $167 and some change was deducted from my account...without any authorization to do so or even my signature. I have sent emails to both address listed at the bottom of the reservation with ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE!! Also, called the number listed multiple times over the past few days with no answer and no voicemail set up. I don't know what else to do to try to recup my money!!! Very upset and actually infuriated! Any suggestions? I am going to give it another day or two to see if anyone responds..if not..I am filing a complaint with my bank and also the Better Business Bureau..if I could give a rating of -10 I would, but there is no option for that

Negative experience: No one answers the phone when I try to book. I would have just reserved on line but I had a question that required answering first. It filtered in for "pet friendly" but unless I ask or it says I the website (I could not find that) I do not believe it. Guess I will be staying somewhere else.

Negative experience: Booked a room through Expedia for 1/28/22- 1/30/22. When we arrived it was completely closed. Dark and locked up. Was visiting from Wisconsin and had to share a friend's room at a different hotel because everyone else was booked.

Negative experience: If i could give a ZERO I would. This hotel is by far the dirties place i have ever stayed! They overcharged my card and i'm still trying to resolve that and it's been 3 weeks now! Their staff and management are horrible with customer service! They had no coffee the whole place is filthy! My advice would be keep on looking for somewhere else to stay!

Negative experience: I can't believe the poor standards at this hotel. It seems like they don't even try. No hot water. The furniture is beat up and old. I told the staff but they just made excuses and brushed me off. Will never stay here again

Negative experience: Buckle your seatbelts. My sister and I stayed at this hotel for a single night seeing a concert at the Big E. The only good thing about this hotel was it’s distance to the Big E. Really close! As soon as we arrived (6 PM) concert was at 7 PM. The lady Rita checked us in and took almost 40 minutes to give us our key. During that time, she didn’t have our reservation at all, which we made 2 weeks prior and had a confirmation email & was already billed. She made my sister bring up every single detail about our reservation when every other hotel I’ve stayed at had all the information already on their computer so it would be an easy check in. Not here. I myself was ID along with my sister who made the reservation which I’ve never experienced anywhere else. She said and I QUOTE “you’re lucky we had a cancellation or we wouldn’t have had a room for you.” I’m sorry? We already made a reservation 2 weeks ahead of time so our room should’ve been already prepared for. She proceeded to walk us up to our room 40 mins later to make sure it was ready for us?? TV turned on but was stuck on one station, no other button worked besides the power button, awesome. The best part was when we were leaving our room it didn’t lock. We brought the issue up to Rita and she said she realized after she brought us up. She asked if we had anything extraordinary in our room we wanted to keep safe. I responded absolutely everything I have in that room I want to keep safe. She said she doesn’t let anyone in the inn that she didn’t trust so our stuff would be safe. Yeah that’s super reassuring and I’m sure she knows everything about everyone that stays there. Also! No free breakfast. Also! My sister had sand and dirt in her bed. 10/10 do not recommend and would have much rather saved 200$ for a single night and gone elsewhere. Be aware.

Positive experience: Stayed for a couple of nights in August. As some others have noted, the hallways need some work, especially the carpet. It makes the place seem more rundown than it actually is. That being said., the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, and the staff was friendly and helpful (shout out to Rita). I would happily stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

Negative experience: Right from check in we started having issues. The front desk staff was very kind, however we were given the wrong key to our room. Our door required an old fashion turn key, and we were given a typical hotel key. I will add that once we got the correct key, it was extremely difficult to open the door and took about five minutes of toying with the lock. Once in the room, we saw it was a king bed when we had booked two doubles. The hotel says this was the fault of the third party we used to book. Nevertheless, there were three of us and one of us decided to sleep in the car because the lack of space. The room was extremely hot and stuffy with no air conditioning and no way to control the temperature whatsoever. Our window overlooked what used to be a pool, but is currently an empty and broken pool surrounded by furniture the hotel is no longer using. So no air flow able to come in from the outside either. The toilet didn't flush. The bathtub was huge, which may have been nice, but the shower head was unattached and at knee level so no possibly of showering. The tv was initially unplugged, and when plugged in, didn't work. The doors to the armoire were broken. The blanket had a significant stain. We couldn't wait to wake up and get out of there in the morning! Thankfully the concert we saw at The Big E made our trip worth it, because the hotel certainly did not.

Negative experience: Let’s start with we arrived and waited in the front hall (lobby) which was about 5 minutes, then a person that looked like joe smith came by and said he works there, he stated you need to call a number to get a person to come but you still need to wait for them to come to the front. Next, we was shown the room and the first thing that noticed was a poor moldy type smell in both room and hall ways. We are now in the room and check to see if the bathroom is clean and to our great surprise the toilet is not at all clean. They did send the cleaning lady to clean the bathroom “again”. While the lady was cleaning the room we continual to inspect the room as being in a dirty room is not what you want and if she could clean what was needed that would be great. In the course of checking out the room found dirty headboard, picture frames, the furniture was falling apart, the air filter and the vents was dirty. Lady took care of most of this as she could. Now as we was staying there for 3 nights and was not able to go to another hotel we stayed as much as we did not have any desire to. We notice in the hallway a lot of issue like garbage bags in hall, bedding left on floor over night, hall not cleaned, tables in lobby dirty, the lighting over the counter in lobby at lights were gross looking . Vending marching unplugged and laying on floor where person needs to walk. House keeping cart left in hall for overnight and day. But the best part is the lighting in the room was falling off the wall, the toilet when you was sitting rocked and the toilet paper holder was not attached to the sink cabinet, it was on top of the sink, the iron board was not attached to the holder on the wall and fall over when the wife was hanging the clothing with the 3 hangers that was in the room. No long mirror on the wall but the holes was still there, the ceiling you could see the seams for the drywall. Okay this is more then enough, by the way I have photos of all of thieve issues after the initial lady coming to clean. If at all don’t stay here, not very good at dealing with customs and get told that the front person need to still has stuff to learn from the “manager”.

Positive experience: These guys were the only place available between Greenfield and Hartford, and I was surprised at how nice it was to stay. Sheets were clean, the tv and thermostat work, but the stand out was the bathroom! Everything was clean and disinfected, almost so the shower seemed brand new, I remembered being genuinely impressed while there. But it's the staff that does it! They were beyond professionally courteous and extremely friendly, lots of jokes and they took care of me very well. Honestly highly recommend if you need a good basic stay in the area!

Fantastic experience: The rooms were cleaner than many other hotels I've been to, and felt more spacious. The owners are pleasant and helpful, and the location is great with the city only a few minutes away. I would absolutley stay here again

Fantastic experience: We stayed here to go to Six Flags. The location was great. We were 10 minutes from the park and 10 minutes from Springfield to do other things. The service was good for our whole stay, the room was clean, and the bed was comfy. We would definitely stay here again :)

Negative experience: Was planning on staying here before going to hospital. Was accompanied by my 18 yo daughter I was told that it was their policy for her to have a photo ID because she was a young adult. I have never heard of such a thing. I have stayed in many hotels with my daughter. I do not deal with any type of discrimination including age discrimination. I took my credit card back before they could run it and left. Shame on them for discriminating they will never really know how wonderful some young adults really are

Negative experience: We secured a room for a traveling Covid-19 traveler helping in the area during the crisis. We reserved the traveler an hour before she arrived for 2 weeks. The traveler did not think the room was clean enough and refused to stay at the location. We immediately reached out to cancel the reservation that was about an hour old. We were told we would be charged over $200. The traveler did not stay in the room, as it was not clean enough.

Fantastic experience: My husband is staying at this hotel while he works in Massachusetts, I stay as well when i go visit. I just wanted to thank the staff at this hotel for being so hospitable, and being on a first name basis w us. The rate is unbeatable and the rooms were nice and cozy and clean.. So thank u to the cleaning guy for doing a great job cleaning up after stangers at this crazy time known as the covid time.. we appreciate it!!

Negative experience: I called to cancel my reservation to the hotel for the 29th thru the 31st, apparently, they said they did not receive the email confirmation, when i clearly paid for it and i have the receipt and reservation number, should have read the reviews first before making the reservation, clearly not going to do that again.

Negative experience: I booked 2 rooms for a Saturday at this hotel. Another family we were staying with booked Friday night as well. We asked to cancel Saturday because we do not need to stay both nights and the woman MICHELLE who took out call refused to refund our money for the second night. We called TEN days in advance as well. We have tried to call back several times and now no one will answer the phone. What hotel does not answer their phone? We now have $360 that should be refunded. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL!!!!!

Negative experience: I was very dissatisfied with the service . They kept pushing this roomy 3 bedroom setup. I took it, they charge you immediately, and tell you they are full I was given 2 keys and went to room 112. The Mildew hit me as soon as I walked in the door. There was mildew on the desk, and both chairs in the room. Didn't let anyone sit in it. I did go to the lobby, and told the man of my findings. He said the room was cleaned, didn't say it wasn't I said it smells like mildew. We also need ice and the machine was not working, and neither was the phone in my room. It would not have mattered because no one was at the front desk to answer. The TV stopped working in the am, and let's talk about the awful breakfast. No one was there to refill, there was no milk for the cerea, they leave instructions to make waffles but there was no measuring. When I attempted to address the issue the female manager who wasn't even at the desk wanted to dismiss me, by telling me that breakfast ended at 9:30 and all I had to do was pour theix. She also tried to make me feel like she left it open just for us. I watched people come to check out and waited and no one was there to help them they just left but then they do take your money in advance so they know what they're doing. after I expressed all the things that were wrong with the room she just looked at me and said you will be leaving at eleven won't you I need the room for other people. RUDE and non caring. I stayed a better class hotels and spent less money!!! NEVER AGAIN! LOW CLASS DUMP.

Negative experience: NO AIR CONDITIONING is on!! It was about 90 degrees inside the room and they have an external inadequate AC unit. They don't tell you until AFTER you pay, that rooms aren't air conditioned, that the AC units are not on AT ALL until you are physically ready to go in the room! The AC units are NOT adequate for the rooms so the temp does not go down below about 80 degrees on a hot summer day. I spent 170 dollars on a Jacuzzi room to have some fun and get away to pamper myself since I work 60 hours a week and am a single Mom, in back pain, and do not have much in my budget to do something this for myself. After a short time of trying to wait on the AC to work a little, and taking a cold shower instead of a jaccuzi, I was still so overheated I felt like it was a sauna in there. I did not spend that money on that particular room to have somewhere to stay for the night. I live nearby! I went there for pleasure and enjoyment, rejuvenation. I was VERY disappointed and upset but it had been less than an hour so I trusted the hotel staff would be understanding and at least refund most of my money. But they REFUSED staunchly and proceeded to lecture me about how I should have come to hang out in their lobby until the room cooled!!! I couldn't even stay there I needed to go back home to my air conditioned place I was so sweaty and flushed red all over and light headed being there. And the way they treated me about it was even more horrible. Also I noticed it is an extremely old building very old atiquated EVERYTHING. What an inflated price even if the AC even made it down to 70 (which it did NOT)!! I should add that they kept referring to the document they had me fill out and sign AFTER they took my payment ...that I filled out on their extremely high counter making it very hard to read. And they hadn't even given me a copy of it. And when I asked for the appropriate supervisor o to talk to, the man there at the time refused to give me information that should have been on the document they never gave me a copy of.

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I booked a jacuzzi room. It was very clean. We felt very relaxed. The staff was phenomenal. I just wished the pool was available. Our ourside view was an empty pool under construction. Besides that great experience! Breakfast was offered... We plan to stay again and book the same room. A yes our room was spacious.

Negative experience: Zero stars. Rude, inconsiderate staff. This place is a dump - its messy inside and out. The breakfast is a horrible joke. Rooms smell like mold; light bulbs are burned out everywhere. They even charged me an extra unauthorized fee, and refused to refund - that is fraud. Will never stay here again. Don't waste your money here!

Negative experience: Coffee was not fresh no real breakfast at all! No Eggs no bacon only cereal/milk and bagels it was ok but fresh coffee would be nice. I must say when I let them know he offered to make more but I had to leave to work at the Big E. They have a Gold mind there being near The Big E and if the breakfast was a full breakfast they would do much more business. Again that's just my opinion. They were nice and friendly.

Negative experience: Booked over a month in advance, payed for early check in and late check out. On arrival the room smelled like mildew. Depressed setting and awful window view of under construction pool. Asked for money back, said if I went down 10 min prior to viewing my room would've did something. Worst experience ever.

Negative experience: Staff is rude and inconsiderate. Price is way too high for the location, and the rooms. Not to mention they literally keep a pile of trash outside the door.

Negative experience: This place was discusting. Stayed last fall during the big e. Stains on the walls, black mold on the bathroom ceiling, rugs were disgusting. Didn't even consider eating there. Most staff were nice except lady at front desk. No refunds and price was outrageous for this hotel. Will never stay again.

Negative experience: I was just charged for a reservation I never completed. After giving my info I asked for cancellation policy. I was told I would not be able to cancel nor would I be able to get the discounted rate if I called back. I said that’s fine but I could not make a reservation without the ability to cancel. That was 3 weeks ago and I never received a confirmation number or email. Why would I as the transaction was never completed and finalized. Today I was just charged the full amount. Called and was told by the manager he did not like my tone and would not help me. Hung up on me three times. I’m dealing with this through my bank. Never ever give this place your credit card. They are unscrupulous and not to be trusted with any personal information. My bank even told me to cancel my card for fear of retribution since he blatantly refused to talk to me at all.

Positive experience: Rooms are not very large , basic amenities. Coffee pot, small fridge, microwave. Very limited continental breakfast. By request our room had a jacuzzi tub which was very nice.

Negative experience: It is a DUMP! The decor is dated but more importantly the entire establishment desperately needs of a deep and thorough cleaning. The front desk clerk is unprofessional. She was unresponsive and uncaring regarding my concerns.

Negative experience: If I could give it zero stars I would. It was the absolute filthiest place I’ve ever been. There was mold on the tub, cobwebs all over the curtains, broken furniture, ripped rugs and the place didn’t look like it had been vacuumed or cleaned in months. It smelled horrible. The hotel looked like it housed homeless people. I did not feel safe even being there. When I saw my room I immediately went out to the front desk and said I did not want to stay there. They we’re very rude, told me to call Expedia. Called Expedia and they then called them, they refused to refund my money. I was shocked by the customer service.

Positive experience: Decent hotel. Toilet clogged within a few minutes of us being there. Staff was friendly got that cleared up. Door had to be forced shut in order to seal. Breakfast was ok. Room was clean

Positive experience: It was a decent place for the price. The area and neighborhood were not good; I don't recommend leaving at night. The front desk guy was super accommodating and the room was acceptable. There's a pizza place a block away, so hit it up before the sun sets!

Negative experience: Zero stars! Lets start off with the fact i cant post pics as staff threatened to sue me if i did. I did the 160 doller a night jaquzzi room. They jacuzzi looked wonderful wouldnt know how it felt as the room NEVER WENT BELOW 90 DEGREES everythings innapropriate they have a space Ac connect3d to a window facing their green nasty not in use Pool so nope no outside air for you just chemicals and hot tepid air from their indoor pool . The second we got in the roomi came out and said this wasnt going to work out. The young boy was the only one willing to help but im not sure who was lying since they said no other rooms are available-we found out they were the manager was to lazy to give it to us until i came down at 3 am finally angry as hell. So after arguing with them the whole time we drove back 2 hours on zero sleep- were threatened to be sued and have the cops kick us out for conplaining about the 90 degree room. Me and my boyfriend sat in his car because it was colder outside then in our room- meanwhile it was a 85 degree day.i tried to call back and the lady on the phone refused to give me the manager and good luck as id likely just get sued DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL FROM HELL. WOULD INCLUDE PICS BUT I ALREADY GOT TOLD LIKE 8 TIMES ID BE SUED IF I DID. AVOID!!!!!!!! Im also callying the better business bureau on them/seeking other ways to kerp them from ruining other customers experiences. It doesnt matter how close it is to the big e or six flags DO NOT GO HERE.

Positive experience: I would hold the prices down a bit. I think you'd get more people to come. White sheets, white comforter are the best going linens for motels. A healthy breakfast is less expensive than fatty donuts or bagels with fat on them. If you are doing continental breakfasts, it should be protein and fruit based. It is better for you, and helps folk while they travel.

Negative experience: This place is a Dive!! WARNING WARNING!! Do not stay here.. rooms are horrible no A/C they provide portable AC units. This place is substandard for Regency. Bath tub filthy towels smell dirty. beds are hard. Would never ever book here again... People Stay away!!!

Negative experience: If I could 5 stars for the man who greeted us I would and 5 stars for the clean sheets, towels and superb water pressure. The smell of smoke, lack cleanliness in the common areas and the carpet totally wigged me out! And for 88 bucks for 5 hours of sleep and a shower seemed reasonable.

Negative experience: Terrible. Walked in and was immediately unimpressed. Bad atmosphere and impolite clerks. They even charged my card and acted like airheads when I called them out on it. Then called us a bad fit when I rightfully got upset. Now I have to wait to get my money back for a room I never even checked in to. Their lousy sign in form even prohibits you from writing bad reviews. Stay away from this place.

Positive experience: The rooms were spotless and kept at a comfortable temperature and the general halls and entrance was comforting. I wish the vending machines worked and if they can find a way to get their pool open again, I'm sure they'll make even more business.

Negative experience: If I can put no star I would.first off the building looks run down on the outside. When we got to the room Ac didn't work ice machine did not work WiFi and computer system was down it smelt weird no elevator so you have to troop it up these narrow steep stairs the hallway carpet was disgusting with stains on it the room was dark and hot nothing was plugged in bathroom was gross as if it wasn't cleaned the bed was so hard we stayed for 10 minutes and left they wouldn't even refund the money and the man up front almost didn't even give back our card...then we get a call a couple days later the man never checked us out of the room. It was a nightmare.

Negative experience: extrmely smelly room!! charged us an extra $250 for smoking in the room when we do not smoke at all. extreme rude staff! run run run!! very itchy as well when we were sleeping there. red marks on our bodies the next morning. spoke with front desk manager and he started screaming at me. i would of prefered to sleep in the car with my children!

Negative experience: The air conditioning would not stay on more than 10 minutes and the room was uncomfortably hot.. tried to call the front desk the phone did not work in the room. The remote control for the tv did not work. Only deserves two stars because for an inexpensive motel it was clean.

My daughter turned 18 the weekend before and the rude man at the front desk charged us an extra $30 and would not budge. Place was old and grimy. Breakfast was non existent. Believe they house welfare recipients there. Whole place smelled like marijuana. Did not feel welcome or safe at all. Such a shame

Fantastic experience: I just love this place. It's quirky and homey, and the people who run it are wonderful. If you want a homogenized, cookie cutter room, this isn't the place for you. If you appreciate interesting, one of a kind decor, check this place out. The lobby and hallways are inspiring, and the breakfast is great. The jacuzzi rooms are brilliant, and the tubs are spotless, with good jets. Worth a few extra bucks if you're in need of an escape. Right across the street from the big e fairgrounds. I intend to keep coming back.
