Negative experience: The worst customer service ever. Can never get a human to speak to much less and agent. I have only been a customer 3 weeks and am totally disgusted. I get quoted a certain amount and 3 weeks later it's increased by almost $200. Had to pay 6 months to get discount, had to purchase their membership and had to download a tracking device. I will not and will never be dealing with them again. This was at the Macomb office on Hall rd.
Negative experience: I have never experienced such an incompetent group of people (not just Macomb but all over Michigan. We’ve just dealt with the Macomb office the most) We moved out of our apartment in August 2021 and told them to remove that policy and add our new condo policy. I had to call every 6 months for the past 3.5 years, talking to a new incompetent person every time, and tell them to remove my apartment policy because we don’t live there anymore and they keep sending all our info there. Well fast forward, we realized we’ve been charged for the apartment policy for the past 3 years (didn’t notice bc the charge was so small each month but it added up to over $700) even though we told OVER TEN PEOPLE to remove that account and nobody listened. Now trying to get my refund has been like pulling teeth. I’ve left multiple messages to someone who never returns my calls, emailed multiple people, called customer service, and nobody will help me. The most I’ve gotten is “I’ve informed our processing team and we’ll let you know” but then it’s crickets after that. I know the company is there to make money but I’m just in shock at the lack of customer service or care for their clients. This is my warning to you, AAA may be the cheapest but it’s not worth the headache.
Negative experience: This insurance company and service is not good like as used to. They told me if I have a good student reports card I will get a discount. So I bought my son report card to the agents in the office. I only get $1.00 discount. So I didn’t renew my policy. And then they sent me another statement that said I owed them money because I didn’t submit the report card. I gave everything to the agent in the office, and they didn’t submit to the head office and lost my document. And they wanted to charge me. I will never go back to this insurance company. It’s terrible!!!
Fantastic experience: Great services
Negative experience: Terrible insurance. Do not use this insurance for condo policies. They will not cover living expenses and treats an owner as if they are renting. Other insurance companies did cover living expenses at my condo building. Better off getting insurance that will be there when you really need it. Most of my friends and family are switching away from AAA because of the hassle they received with less serious claims. It was the worst experience I ever had with an insurance company. I wish I never switched to AAA - never again.

Negative experience: Trash company…..spend a few extra dollars and go to State Farm. Learned my lesson the hard way. They will literally go out of their way to screw their fully insured. Disgraceful, incompetent bunch
Fantastic experience: I went for an IDP today. Very helpful, friend and quick service. In and out in less than 20min. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: 1st problem. I tried to use my road service when my car wouldnt start about 530pm. Was told towing company would call me within 45mins. They never called. I called back at 630, was told same thing. They never called. I had a friend come and we used towing chains to get my car home. AAA called me at 3am to see if I still needed road service. This is NO joke or exaggeration. It actually happened. 2nd. I get my auto ins renewal by email from my agent. I send him several emails with no response, other than emails saying mine are not going thru. I call and find out he retired... yet I still get emails from him. I ask for a new agent and they say I wont get one. Instead I get a phone # at which there's a pool of agents to help me. I call it and get an argumentative person who wont answer straight questions. Why cant get I get a dedicated agent that cares about me?? AAA ... not the customer friendly company it used to be.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been members for decades. I really miss the old Trip Ticks. It’s good to know that I can still walk into this office and get everything I need for road trips. Linda was so helpful over the phone, and she ordered my travel package right as we spoke. It will be ready within minutes! I’m very pleased that this service is still alive and well.
Fantastic experience: Happy to personally recommend this place to anyone looking for insurance. Looking for insurance, sucks. Period. If you're looking for great coverage without it costing you a kid, or your life savings, then you're just like me. That is, until I met with the guy who manages this location (Macomb), Steve Visco. Great guy. Smart. I got higher coverage limits and saved me almost $300/yr. My whole family now goes here now.

Negative experience: While my 90 yr mother is in the hospital (50+ year AAA customer), AAA increased her premium 375% for her car to sit in my driveway ($420/month). No compassion for her/my challenges with 3 hospitalizations in a month. I called GEICO. GEICO had compassion & worked me to get the premium to $5/month. Stay away from AAA. If long-time customer leave as when you need them they will rob you!

Negative experience: I received an unsolicited text from these jokers about some insurance offer. Asked how they got my number and they responded saying they bought a list of leads and my info was on the list. Asked who sold them my information and got no reply. Really wish they would tell me how they got my information. So far they seem very unprofessional and I would recommend to anyone concerned with privacy to take your business elsewhere.

Negative experience: We booked an extensive tour to Italy and Paris, scheduled for June, 2020. Then we were informed that the Italy Tour had been canceled and that we could re-book for the 2021 calendar year. We have requested instead a full refund of all monies and have been ignored. We do not want to commit to travel in 2021 until we are comfortable with the international health crisis. Why are we not being given a full refund???
Fantastic experience: Ask for Muneer Rayis. He is the best agent they have. Asks all the right questions to qualify you for proper coverage. I like value over the cheapest price. Other agencies try to get my business by offering lowest price but lack the coverage. Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it. Ask for Muneer Rayis.

Fantastic experience: I would like to take the time to personally thank Sharon Rymsza of AAA of Michigan (Macomb Township Office). Sharon was very professional and laid everything right on the table for us to see without any hidden fees. She also was prompt in responding to our emails and even dealt with Delta Vacations about matching a competitors price. If booking a vacation I would highly recommend Sharon.
Fantastic experience: Our recent vacation planning through Susan Davidson, AAA Travel Consultant, was excellent, as usual. She has helped us with numerous travel plans over the years and has always been extremely patient, informative, and helpful, providing tips and advice whenever applicable. We will continue to seek her office's experienced assistance with all future travel arrangements.
