Vacation Tour & Travel: Reviews
Negative experience: Too many complaints about this place had a certificate my daughter got ne fir my birthday right before the pandemic but, glad it expired because i may have been one if their No interested in gimmicks!
Negative experience: The marketing material shows you can get a free cruise from New Orleans, and then they said there are actually no free cruises from New Orleans because it is not one of their promotional cities. The free 5-day cruise promise actually turns into $100 discount on an actual cruise. The certificate doesn't say it, but they only cover rooms with bunk beds from very specific cities.
Negative experience: No one. NO ONE STANDS BY WHAT THEY SEll!!! THATS CALLED LYING!! LIARS!! THATS YOU! ALL THE TIME.
Negative experience: This company is a joke. I did a presentation and was supposed to receive a free cruise which was a lie from the beginning because you have to pay taxes and fees. Upon getting ready to book I’m told the rooms included are not available. The price they give is the same price or more than the price you can book yourself. A complete scam. Don’t waste your time doing any presentations or booking through them. A complete waste of time.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Karen should be fired and baned from any other customer service job in the country. This place should close their doors and refund anyone that has paid them for their services.
Negative experience: I have booked a cruise with them and have had horrible experiences after I had my cruise booked with Lauren (she was absolutely the best and patient, and that's where the only star is deserved). After the initial booking every experience I've had with different representatives and supervisors was absolutely horrible. I have marked dates and time and name for each experience. I call to try to route it up higher and there always seem to be some resistance. They are giving me the run around. It is one office and I figure they are all friends with each other so they don't care to resolve any negative conflict. I understand why they got 2.4 stars. I am going to contact Blugreen Vacation to explain the issues with the travel partnership set their prospective customers with (and honestly this partnership mess up service for Blugreen) My most recent experience After trying to review my options for the ship change that happened months ago. I was told why did I wait until now [to make changes/ask about cancellation, for a ship change that happened from Carnival Cruise]? I asked the representative what did I do to deserve her sarcasm, and why she didn't just explain the protocol vs. being nasty. O then at the end of the call, I asked her name she says "it's doesn't matter. I am going to tell the supervisor and she will call you back" then I asked for it again and then she said Carie. But honestly I keep having similar experience with the others, so I do not know if that's the culture, once they got you booked, they don't care or put in the effort to make sure their customers are satisfied. I didn't go on the cruise yet and I really do not want to through them anymore. I have a lot more details but I am just in disbelief that I really had such horrible interactions with an agency which sole purpose is to book experiences for people satisfaction. If anyone have an email or a way for me to provide feedback that would be actually considered, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. edited: Crystal Williams called me back and really was patient and comforting. I appreciate service like this. Thank you so much VP.
Fantastic experience: Sandy and Jackie are great. Won't find a better price, or better people to work with! Highly recommended!!
Fantastic experience: Vacation tour and travel. It doesn't matter if you want to leave a review, this place is not for the general public's criticism, as you need to be employed to be on the work floor.
Fantastic experience: I've gotten the pleasure of Sandy being my TA for 5 years and I've been on 46 cruises. Sandy has helped me book at least half of those. She's had to go through the trouble of booking and rebooking 25 cruises that covid has shut down for me and my family the last 15 months. Sandy is great at responding on a timely manner, very polite and super helpful. Carnival has only beat VTT one time, I always get the best deals though this company. When peak season is in full swing you have to be patient and nice to the staff because other families are trying to book their vacation too. Everyone is important but you have to be kind because it takes time for each staff member to find the best cabin, date, destination and ship for your precious family !! I'm so thankful for the great deals on my cruises.
Fantastic experience: I wasn’t able to travel being a single mom, this place made it possible for me and my daughter and we had a blast!! ❤️They made sure to take great care of us from the time we got there til the time we left. Thanks to Crystal for being polite on the phone and giving me the opportunity.
Fantastic experience: Great place of business
Negative experience:
Negative experience: Total harassment. Received a call, because I made the mistake of giving Bass Pro my info. Was told it’s a one time offer. I said no. 6 calls later I said send me an email and I’ll look it over. The email was oh thanks for your purchase. Total bs. Avoid this company at all cost. Also avoid basspro as this is where they got my info.
Negative experience: Have never heard of this company before yesterday, but in that amount of time they have called me SEVEN times. I blocked the number and they call back using a different number. Reporting.
Negative experience: My wife and I sat through a lengthy, timeshare-like sales pitch to receive a voucher to book a cruise through Vacation Tour and Travel. We had 18 months to use the voucher. We decided to wait a little bit and schedule it for this year. When we tried to book our cruise (with nearly 6 months left on the voucher), we were hit with a wall of restrictions that made it impossible to use our voucher without spending nearly $1000 to upgrade our voucher. A really disappointing experience and tremendous wait of time and energy.
Fantastic experience: Julian cheatum has some of the best customer service I have received yet. He informed me of all the packages they have on offer and was willing to listen to my individual situation in order to accommodate my needs. A very unique personality and an absolute pleasure to speak with!
Negative experience: Looks like everything that I want to say has already been said by other reviewers. Tried to book cruise with them for over 2 months. Poor customer service with the exception of initial contact. Never return emails and phone calls. Too much emphasis put on that their price is the best, but it never is considering the cruise is supposed to be free less the port fees. When you check the retail prices, they are more than if you booked directly with Carnival.
Negative experience: Rude, Rude, and did I forget to mention..... RUDE!!!!!!!
Negative experience: This company has called me 14 times in the last 2 weeks from numerous different phone #s. I block one and then they call from a new one. I block that # and they call from yet another new #. They won't leave a message. Every time I call one of the #s back, I get a recording for this same company in Arkansas. Leave me the **** alone already!!!!! I'm not interested.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I regret that you have had this experience and I would like to ask that you contact me at your convenience in order to ensure that this does not continue. My name is Kim Cameron and you can reach me at 501-329-5434 between 9am cst and 5pm cst or via email at [email protected]. Thank you for your time!
Fantastic experience: Anyone saying they can find cheaper deals directly through Carnival is wrong. Their prices beat any of Carnival's prices every time. It seems like most people either don't read the conditions listed on their certificates or don't understand them.
Negative experience: I was going to book my free cruise but all these reviews concern me. I think I will go directly through carnival instead!
Negative experience: Thanks sooo much for these informative reviews. As a potential customer to this company from my supposedly "free cruise" Blue green Vacations provided me after attending the timeshare pitch I must decline this offer. I hope more potential customers get to read these before booking with this company! Geez, Blue green and this company seems to be all about the Scam! What a shame!
Negative experience: This has got to be the biggest travel scam in history. The "discount" price is more than if you just called the cruise line yourself for a price. Customer service is indeed a joke. You have to book the "free" cruise at least 90 days in advance and apparently they put you in the bottom of the boat. My next steps is the Better Business Bureau
Negative experience: like many others we received a free cruise voucher via Blue Green vacations. this is the worst company i’ve seen in my life. they need negative stars! poor customer service, very rude, and don’t forget the lies they tell. the agent i was dealing with told me that i probably could not afford to even take the cruise when i declined to upgrade. and told me that i could not deal with anyone except for him. hung up called back and asked for a manager she booked our cruise but she was a liar also. take the free cruise if you like, but if actually cheaper just to book with carnival directly.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our company. Our goal is total satisfaction of our customers. We would like to get more detail about your experience. Please contact Kim Cameron at 501-329-5434 at your earliest convenience.
Thank you!
Negative experience: Horrible, the reps are very disrespectful and hang up on you when you ask about additional charges not discussed.
Negative experience: Trying to book a cruise and my experience so far horrible, already called 3 times and not getting anywhere yet, bad customer service, attitude and unhelpful csrs, place u on hold for long and never come back. Anyways where do they get the taxes and fees? At carnival the same cruise taxes and fees are like $60-$70pp here are more than double, if I want to get my "free" cruise I have to pay almost $400 + gratuities for taxes and fees for 1A cabin bunkbeds no upgrade at all, if I upgrade just to king bed, same inside cabin is about $700+ gratuities why would I do that if at carnival is like $650 + gratuities, I do t see how is this free. If taxes/fees and gratuities would be like $300 for the 1A room ill be fine but it's outrageous, if my experience change ill update this post, will see how it goes...
Good Day Mr.Prado, Providing the highest level of Customer service is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. Please contact us at your earliest convenience and ask for Caroline T at the number and hours below. She is one of the managers for the cruise department and she will be more then happy to help you further.

Fantastic experience: I have booked several cruises with this company. They go out of their way to get you the best price available for the room you are asking for. Hard to find a cheaper cruise anywhere....trust me my dad tried...
Thank you for the awesome review. We greatly appreciate it. We hope to see you soon when you're ready to book your next cruise. Take care and have a wonderful day.
Negative experience: I have not booked my "free cruise" yet, however I am very turned off by this company already. I decided to do a quick internet search to see if I could save time by booking online. I thought maybe it isn't listed in the packet. After a cursory search I have gone down the rabbit hole that is the Yelp! and Google reviews. My goodness I feel like I'm in the upside down. It isn't the bad reviews that have bothered me, rather it is the good reviews. Look closely. There is obviously some sort of internal campaign to artificially raise the rating. Read the positive reviews and use a little deductive reasoning. They are all 5 stars. Then look closer at the reviewers. The reviewers with multiple reviews are located in Arkansas. The other reviews are almost exclusively local venues in Arkansas. Where is this company headquartered? I would have to be a fool to believe it is coincidence. I am still going to attempt to book my cruise however. I will update this rating accordingly. If it goes well I will add stars. If poorly, I'll be reporting to Yelp! and Google.
Thank you for your comments. I am very sorry your early impression of our company was unfavorable. Please contact me at your convenience (via phone during hours listed below or via email anytime) as I am eager for you to experience the Vacation Tour & Travel I represent.
Thank you,
Kim Cameron, Admin [email protected]

Negative experience: Very rude staff from the receptionist to management. We wanted to work with them to provide them business by raffling off packages for our nonprofit but manager was rude and stated she did want our business. This review is from a Marine Corps veteran that is giving back by teaching the fundamentally of credit, which there are no classes in high school or college and over half the information online is bogus. Thanks a lot for not listening and being rude. Where did the southern hospitality go in Arkansas?
Good day Mr. Wilkinson,
Thank you for reaching out to us and providing your honest feedback on the Guest Satisfaction.. Providing the highest level of Customer service is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. Unfortunately our company guidelines and contracts does not allow us to raffle off our packages, We would also like to thank you for your service, As a teachable moment, we have shared your feedback with the appropriate Departments to ensure the necessary guidelines are in place to prevent further issues from occurring in the future. Once again, thank you for your valued feedback and we hope to serve you in the future.
Negative experience: its not fair that we are forced to give a 1 star just to give a review. this place deserves negative stars. these people are conmen. do not do biz with them! 100 percent scam. this place has nothing to do with legit travel, just a bunch of shady telemarketers using travel as a front. these people need to be shut down, if i had a company, lied to people every time i opened my mouth, took peoples money and gave nothing in return, i would be out of business and facing fraud charges, yet these scum bags have been around for years. makes me sick for all the honest working people out there.
Negative experience: Literally spent 5 hours on the phone in a queue of 14 people for an agent to book my free cruise. I was down to 3 and the call automatically disconnected at 9:30 CT. Great customer service... NOT. EDIT: SO I called them today and they edited the terms of our agreement of a free family cruise for my two small sons who'd share a room with us and NOW that's an issue. Asked for a supervisor and the CSR refused and hung up. I could buy the cruise through a travel club- for less than they want to charge- on top of port fees (with better accommodations at that). Free Cruise... Ha haha ha. Freaking joke.
Mr. Suvak,
We understand your disappointment and agree that this is not acceptable. We were experiencing some phone issues as of late. We would love to speak with you and assist you in booking your cruise. Please call 1-800-816-0205, Monday through Friday between 9am cst and 7pm cst. Thank you!
Negative experience: We won a free cruise, however when it was time to book no dates were available from March 2019 to February 2020 for the free offer in ports of Galveston or New Orleans. It appears they are wanting to push you to purchasing a cruise and getting a measly $140 discount.
Negative experience: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! REPS ACTUALLY GOT AN ATTITUDE AND YELLED AT ME. SPOKE WITH A SUPPOSED MANAGER WHO DID THE SAME!! DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE GETTING MY BUSINESS OR MONEY!! DEFINITELY SEE WHY THEY HAVE A 2 STAR RATING
Negative experience: My husband has been trying to book a cruise since June 2018 since we have 18 months to book our "free" cruise. It's always something, computers are down, the dates are too far out, etc.. So I decided to call today. First off she said she couldn't do any bookings because the computers were down. I then asked her since my husband and I are having such a hard time trying to book the cruise, what happens with the 18 month window. She said your husband is having trouble because he is trying to book with the 1A cabin. Naturally, I asked what is the 1A cabin? It's a small cabin over then engine room with two twin beds, one above the other. Being that we are in our mid 50's, that room would not be convenient. So I said he wouldn't have wanted that room. She said he probably just didn't understand the 1A cabin when they explained it. I told her that my husband is not stupid, he would've understood the twin bed situation. She then hung up on me. RUDE!!! I will call back but I'm sure I won't be able to book anything because they will quote me a price that is more than what I would pay directly from carnival cruise Thank you for your prompt answer on Google but I don't know how you will get in touch with me when you don't have any information about me at your office.
Hi Sonia. We sincerely apologize and take ownership for this unpleasant experience. This is certainly not the kind of service we represent here at Vacation Tour & Travel. We will be reaching out to you shortly for the situation to be rectified. Thank you for your review.
Fantastic experience: Nice restrooms
Negative experience: Spam calls, they've called from at least 4 different numbers now.
Negative experience: IF THESE PEOPLE DON'T STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Rebecca. Our sincerest apologies. You have now been placed on our Do Not Call List. Thank you for your review!
Negative experience: Major Scam. They call 6 times a day and then hang up. If you block the number they call from another. They are doing the same to my husband. Do not sign up for this. It’s extremely fishy for a company to call this incessantly and not ever talk or leave a message. The only reason I knew who it was was by calling the number back and getting the automated system. Please tread the rest of these reviews. I was sucked in at Bass Pro shops, they should know better than to allow this garbage into their stores. Unbelievable.
Hi Tana. We are sorry to hear that you feel this way. You have now been added to our Do Not Call List. We can assure you that you will not be bothered again. Thank you for your review!
Fantastic experience: Looking at these reviews you have to remember there are two different sides in this business there is a call center like a telemarketer side and then the cruise department which has been amazing and so helpful! if you need a cruise Reesa is the one to speak with!
Hi Shelby. Thank you so much for your review! We will share your thoughts with Reesa.
Negative experience: Believe every negative review you see on here. These people are an absolute joke and this organization deserves to be shut down. When I mentioned the awful reviews online, Reesa the biggest joke of them all informs me "we have an A+ rating with the BBB.." Oh that's great, so you paid the BBB to give you an A+ rating? Because that's what the BBB does. Pay your membership dues and they'll give a solid rating and protect you from the negative ones. They wanted $150 for a name change on our booking. Carnival wasn't going to charge anything because it was for our infant child that hadn't been born when we booked the cruise so we didn't have a name or DOB to add to the booking. Keep in mind the spot was already paid for. We just needed my wife taken off the booking so we could add our child and move my wife to our other booking. VT&T wouldn't budge. Said the border patrol charged for name changes...what? We're not immigrating out of the U.S., we're going on a cruise. Do you guys just keep a bucket full of weak excuses to pull out when you don't know what else to say? Finally gave up and called Carnival directly. They made the change free of charge. Maybe the border patrol doesn't charge them? Or maybe VT&T is hot garbage because the final manifest is not set and given to the port authority (not the border patrol) until the ship disembarks. Kept getting the same thing over and over...."you just don't like the answer because it's not what you want to hear." Keep up that mentality until you're out of business. Can't happen soon enough.
Negative experience: Horrible awful terrible customer service and I would give them zero stars if that were an option. They pretty much say “unfortunately bla bla bla.” They tack on fees. They don’t answer the phone half the time. They don’t take responsibility for anything on their end and tell the customer it’s all their fault. The whole thing is a scam to begin with. And what’s going on with all of the current employee five star ratings??? As if it’s not obvious employees were put up to that to compensate for all of the 1 star reviews and bump up ratings. Carnival on the other hand has great customer service. We went through them to book our other room and they took great care of us after being told about the experience with Vacation Tour and Travel.
Hi Sheena. We are saddened to hear that your experience was unsatisfactory. Poor service and illegitimate business is not apart of our business model. Thank you for your review and enjoy the rest of your day.
Fantastic experience: Great vacation packages!!! Including branson and Vegas !!!
Hi Ryan! Thank you for your review. We are excited to hear that you enjoyed your package.
Negative experience: I am receiving phone calls from the Arkansas location at least 10 times per week-!!!! I live in another state. Stop calling for heavens sake-!! Esp when a person tells you to stop-!! I blocked one of the numbers, now getting calls from another
Negative experience: This place is an absolute scam. They don't bother telling you about all the other fees that come along with it. They already have your card number you signed up with and will charge it unknowingly. Very big scam that has their employees loe. Never book here.
Negative experience: This is such a shady place. Why are so many employees on here making 5 star reviews? Obvious trash. Stay away.
Negative experience: My husband and I got our “free cruise” through Blue Green. The free cruise voucher is for the room that’s basically under the boat and you would have to pay for upgrades. We paid over $500 for our upgrades, taxes, and port fees in February for a September cruise. We found out that I was pregnant in March and we couldn’t cruise in Sept. We called the company and they “said” they would give us a chance to reschedule. Comes time for us to reschedule, they can’t find our information in their “notes” that we called and told them about the pregnancy. According to them everything is hearsay. The manager was very rude and basically told us it’s our fault we were losing our money. We will NEVER use VTT again!
HI Tavia. We are sorry to hear about your experience with us. It is with our best intentions to provide you with the vacation experience you desire. Thank you for your review.
Fantastic experience: Great place with friendly people and amazing deals on vacation packages
Hi Joshua. Thank you for your review!
Negative experience: Annoying cold call calling center. Easy to get hired, but pay is incentive based. Turnover rate is absurd.
Negative experience: Like many others, I came to know this place through a vacation deal at Bass Pro. Our trip to Branson was nice, but nothing we couldn’t have organized and received a lower rate on ourselves. Fast forward 10 months. I called to book our free cruise, and was insulted by the ludicrous offer they gave us. So the included cruise includes a bottom level twin bunk bed cabin, hardly what you want to take your wife on a cruise in. So naturally, they offer an “upgrade package” to get an interior cabin with a two adult sized bed, all for an extra 900.00! I booked the same Cozumel cruise with a balcony room, through carnival, for 1100.00. I used my cruise voucher from VTT to start my BBQ. Don’t waste your time with them.
Negative experience: Horrible plane was delayed 12 hours during our first trip. And 6 during our trip back. We literally lost a day of vacation that we paid for.
Negative experience: I will be adding to those who wish they could place 0 stars for this company. My girlfriend and I did a bluegreen vacation with the "Free Cruise." I knew we would have to pay taxes, blah, blah, blah... ON THE SERVICE AGREEMENT it does not say anything about blackout dates. I called to check on what the taxes where and ask a few other questions the woman on the phone told me I could use this for any time. My girlfriend just called to book our "Free Cruise" and they told her the dates were blacked out and the other person just must not have known. these folks are straight con artists
Hi Ray. We are saddened to hear that you had an unpleasant experience with us. We make it our duty to disclose all information about our travel and cruise packages. We assure you that this miscommunication will not occur moving forward. Thank you for your review.
Fantastic experience: When filling out the form at Bass Pro Shop I saw their logo on the bottom but didn't really know what it was... SO happy that I filled out that form!! No, I wasn't expecting their call. But when they told me about the offer I was kind of skeptical because it seemed too good to be true. BUT they answered ALL of my questions patiently. They were very kind and understanding. I am so happy that I booked my much needed getaway with them! The resort was absolutely beautiful. I sat through a PowerPoint, went on the tour of the resort. It was definitely worth looking at. It was only about an hour and a half to 2 hours. They weren't pushy at all. All in all I had a fantastic getaway. Booked my cruise shortly after and had a wonderful trip to the Western Caribbean. The agency fees and taxes weren't a surprise. I was told up front about them. It was an amazing experience! I can't wait until I qualify again to book my next trip!!
Hi Faith! Yes our deals are too good to be true. Thank you for choosing us to plan your vacation with. We hope to hear from you soon!
Negative experience: There really should be an option to give 0 stars. This company is a scam. We bought a 2 night getaway with BlueGreen under the false pretenses that we'd get a FREE CRUISE (to the employee who said you all never tell anyone that its free, EVERYONE can't be lying about the same issue, don't be naive). As an aside, we've paid for our own cruises previously and we have no problems doing so (if we were told we would still have to pay anything we would've declined and booked on our own as usual). We thought we were getting a deal. We were planning a family trip and trying to decide which cruise line we were going with. At first we were going with Royal Caribbean because they are our favorite so far. When other members of the family backed out, we decided we'd just use the voucher and go on Carnival. The cruise was not free. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced or even witnessed in my life. I originally booked with Alex Gregory. When the price dropped, I wanted to upgrade to a balcony (their entry cabins are inside cabins). They wanted to charge me more than what the cabin was worth on Carnival! I emailed Alex and asked if she could call Carnival because... travel agent. A week later I haven't received a response and balcony cabins are sold out. Ocean Views were sold out as well at the time, later on, one is now available. I called Vacation Tour and Travel to ask to have my reservation moved to someone who would communicate with me more timely and effectively. When "Silas" (this is probably spelled wrong because she hung up on me as I was asking her to spell it) answered the phone, she informed me Alex was on vacation. Once again, communication is lacking. When my family's travel agent goes on vacation, she lets us know. Silas then proceeds to tell me that I asked Alex to transfer my reservation to Carnival (never asked that, I have all emails to prove so), as well as tell me Alex did in fact respond (she didn't) and I just didn't like what she had to say (laughable, she doesn't know me and I was very polite up until speaking with /her/), she also said that Alex told me she couldn't call Carnival (she never responded to that email, so how could she have told me that?). Silas for some reason was defensive from the moment I told her my problem and gave her my name; maybe this was actually Alex I was speaking to from the get go? She also told me that if I was "so adamant about an upgrade" I should've called. I'm a nursing student, I don't have time to call and wait for 10 minutes just for someone to answer the phone and then try to resolve the issue. Silas did nothing but try to argue, interrupt, and speak over me. There was no indication that she was going to even feign seeking a resolution. She then advised me "We're not going to do this". I asked to speak to a supervisor, at this point she decides she's the supervisor. I can not believe in my wildest imagination that anyone would employ this person as a supervisor. Her lack of soft skills is atrocious. After she tells me she's the supervisor, I ask to speak to someone above her and she tells me "No." She then proceeds to say "there's no one". I asked her if she is the owner. She tells me that I'm not going to speak to the owner. So she's not the owner, but there's no one above her? I tell her again I'd like to speak to someone above her. She again says, "We're not going to do this" and she hangs up on me. She is disrespectful and it's amazing that she could be so bold over the phone in a customer service position. Besides the trash customer service, they do not let you know what you're paying for. They just give you a total amount, no breakdown, or statement or anything. Right now, we are just biding our time and hoping that a balcony will be available soon and they can keep their "free cruise".
Negative experience: I wish I can give them ZERO stars, they have horrible customer service especially a representative called "GEORGE" which is extremely rude and does not care about customers at all. He should find another job that does not deal with customers, that is how bad he is. I asked to speak to manager and he hanged up the phone on me, I kept calling until I finally got a supervisor named Reisha who totally supported his rudeness stating she sits next to him and heard conversation but that is impossible a supervisor would allow some employee to speak to customers the way he did. I even had another customer on three way in our conversation who was astonished of their treatment I received from these two representatives. It's been going on 2 months and I have not been able to book my so called free cruise that BLUE GREEN VACATION provided me (which is not free because I paid $199 upfront and it's non refundable). PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR BLUE GREEN VACATION TRAP!!! Instead of being a pleasant vacation experience it has been a total nightmare. They get you upfront by purchasing their gifts and all you need to do is sit for an hour presentation. Which that presentation ended up being a whole day thing. We were so exhausted for the pressure to buy a vacation home that during the presentation that we ended up buying another package which I totally regret, just to get out of there. But really try to avoid doing business with VACATION TOUR & TRAVEL, and Good Luck to you if you do.
Hi Joli. We have shared this with our management team and are saddened to hear that we did not meet your expectations. Thank you for your review and please take care.
Negative experience: I “won” a free cruise from them (just pay taxes and port fees) at a local ball game. I only had to listen to them tell me about their company, they swore they were not a time share. Nope, they buy/rent unsold timeshares and rent them to you. You only have pay $8,000 or so for the right to book with them. Fast forward a few months and I try to book my cruise that I “won”. It’s great for a couple buddies to go on a trip as the free cruise is a bottom level bunk bed only stateroom, since we were trying to book for our anniversary we asked for the price for an optional upgrade to a king size room. The price for the taxes, fees, and upgrade on our free room was more than I could book the cruise directly myself. Beware and don’t waste your time.
Negative experience: Bad company
Fantastic experience: Before you even look at the bar review ask yourself "did they really travel or is it because they got a call they weren't expecting?" I used to answer their calls with just rudeness and always hanging up but one day I was bored so I decided to actually listen and actually I went with this place and got an amazing deal for a trip to Orlando. I went through a 2 hour tour of the timeshare but they treated me well and got a cruise out of it. They didn't harass me or hassle me about buying it they just asked me and when I said no they sent me on my way. Honestly it's one of the best decisions I've made with trying to get a getaway. I can't wait until I'm able to go again because it was an amazing experience for such a low low LOW cost. It's worth it people.
Hi Deshon. Thanks for taking the time to experience our vacation packages. It is our mission to treat customers in the best way possible and provide you with incredible deals. We cant wait to see you soon!
Fantastic experience: Goid place
Negative experience: Highly suggest not using this company unless you really have to. Rude and disrespectful, just because you use politically correct words doesn’t mean you’re not being rude. Remember TONE says it all. You can wish us a Southern ”Blessed Day” but still sound like you’re telling us to kick rocks. I’d rather pay $200 more and get exactly what I want by going directly to Carnival.
Negative experience: I can't stand telemarketing and I'm shocked that these places stay in business. You are forced to annoy people and it's not fun.
Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS TRAVEL AGENCY. They work with companies to scam you. Also, still have not received my money back from a cancelled cruise.
Fantastic experience: Great place to book a vacation and tour.
Negative experience: Absolute most worst customer service on the phone I could possibly come across. The "manager" was horrendous and could not have been more rude.
Negative experience: I was told an sent a package saying that I was going to be staying at the resort of my choice. I picked a ski resort up north in Michigan. When I arrived to check into the resort they checked me in an made sure I was who I was then gave me a map an told me that I wasn't staying there an still had several more miles to this Motel. We had to drive back an forth about 25 miles to the resort an back. Do to us not actually staying at the resort we were denied certain parts of the resorts Hotel. We actually made the best of it cause the room was free had a pool that my son just loved, hot tube, an free breakfast . The Motel also came with a White Stretched Limo an driver that took all the people staying in the Motel anywhere in the city like movies, out to eat, dancing, etc.. Saying all that to say I will never go on another trip with this agency again. I'm trying to book my Carnival Cruise now an by the reviews I don't think this is going to go well either.
Negative experience: I called in to upgrade my "free" cruise tickets and book two additional rooms. Was under the impression would pay for upgrade for my "free" tickets and then get a discount on the two additional rooms. The reality of it was they discounted all of the rooms so I have no idea how much my "free" tickets truly cost me because the ones paying for the other rooms got the discount off my "free" tickets. I understand that you still had to pay tax, etc for the tickets that were "free" and pay the upgrade difference. I even mentioned to her that I might be better off to just book 3 cabins and save my "free" tickets for when it was just my husand and I going. Literally booking though Carnival would have been a little more expense (about 700) but the rooms with them would have been together midship but with this company they are on opposite sides of the ship and on the aft. When they tell you they are discounting something please pay attention because they make it sound one way and do it another. I will only book through Carnival in the future.
Negative experience: MY NAME IS OSCAR AND IF I COULD I GIVE ZEROOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! THIS IS THE WORST SCAM IN THE WORLD , DISASTER AGENCY , THEY SAID WILL CALL YOU AND NEVER DO IT , AND THE CRUISE CERTIFICATE IS A LIE , THEY CHARGE EVEN MORE THAN IF I BUY REGULAR CRUISE LINE TRIP. THE CERTIFICATED AND THE PERSON WHO EXPLAIN THE TRAVEL SAID IS NOTHING ELSE THEN THE PORT FEES AND GOVERNMENT TAXES TO PAID , ONLY THAT , BUT IS TOTAL LIE .DON'T GET SCAM WITH THIS GARBAGE AGENCY , BASURA . TOTAL MENTIRA , TE DICEN QUE SOLAMENTE HAY QUE PAGAR LOS TAXES Y LA TASA PORTUARIA Y ES TODO MENTIRA , TE HACEN PAGAR MAS QUE SI COMPRARAS EL CRUCERO EN UN VIAJE REGULAR , UNA BASURA DE AGENCIA.
Negative experience: Zero stars would be more accurate. The manager Wanda Brophy (in Arizona) is very unprofessional, rude and tried to provoke an argument with my husband and I over the phone. She gave us a horrible experience with this company. Here are the details. We purchased a 2 night travel pkg from Bass Pro Shop for $229 in Ga at Sugarloaf Mills Mall. My family and I were supposed to receive 1 additional night if we arrived on a Sun-Tue along with a cruise to plan at a later date. So we scheduled to take our trip Sun April 2- Weds April 5. We received 2 confirmation letters in the mail and was well aware of the terms, conditions and cancelation policy and fees. My family of 4 (including my handicap child) traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and when we reached the Bluegreen Resorts Welcome Center we were told that our trip had been canceled and was given a customer service number to call. We spent 1 hr and a half in the parking lot (while administering medication to my son and tending to his special needs) and on hold with Bluegreen. They were able to get us 1 night at Harbor Lights Resort, but couldn't promise anything more until we spoke with Vacation Tour and Travel which was closed and didn't open until the next morning at 10am. Monday morning I immediately called Vacation Tour & Travel and the customer service rep told me that there was nothing that they could do for us being that the trip was canceled due to non confirmation on March 31st. The rep recommended that, "since we're already there we should go get a room with our own money and enjoy. We can reschedule our trip with them another time, but unfortunately it is impossible to fix it today." I then asked to speak to a manager or someone on the next level up. He connected me with a Wanda Brophy and our conversation went as follows. "Hello Mrs. Titi, so you didn't bother to answer any of our calls days before your trip or our email and you still decided to travel? There is nothing that I can do to fix this. Luckily Bluegreen was able to get you one night, but why didn't they just complete your pkg? I don't know what to tell you Mrs. Titi you shouldn't have traveled without confirming your trip." This entire time my husband and I were silent while we listened to her spill. My husband then interrupted and asked her if she was the manager because her attitude and lack of professionalism was much worse than the rep we just spoke to. I asked for the complete spelling of her name and let her know that I am not happy with the outcome here. I let her know that it is a family of 4 here (2 adults, and 2 children with one being handicap.) She said that she will try to email someone about this, but we are asking for a miracle. She said that she would be in touch. That was 2 days ago and we still have not heard from this woman since. However, I called Bluegreen a second time and they were able to get us 1 more night at the same resort that we had just checked out of, but we will forfeit the 3rd night and the cruise and our pkg is now finished. This was suppose to be what we thought was a vacation, but turned out to be a total disaster. Had this been an "undercover boss" experience with this company and Manager- Wanda Brophy, I am almost certain that she'd be without a job immediately. We could've totally paid for a 2 night hotel stay at a resort without the use of this company. They did NOTHING for us.
Negative experience: I'm not interested, stop calling! I have told you several times, I do not want your services, but you keep calling.
Negative experience: Don't fall for there scams, they'll give you a "discount" but ultimately they just lie to you instead. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
Negative experience: Everyone has said it already.. No need to for me to repeat lol. Don't do it!!! Stay away!!!
Negative experience: Wow. I'm planning on taking a cruise in early May of this year, using a certificate through them, however, reading all of these reviews, mostly negative, I'm wondering if I shouldn't just book through Carnival. Dang, and I went through 2 hours of an exhaustive timeshare presentation in Vegas. Hmm.
Fantastic experience: I have heard it's good and they treat u right as a employee
Negative experience: COMPLETE SCAM-Should be 0 star rating!!!
Negative experience: Scam! They do not honor the free cruise certificate purchased from somewhere such as Bass Pro Shop. They come up with any excuse possible to make it impossible for them to offer to you. You will end up paying about the same as booking directly through the cruiseline with a possible small discount. Totally false advertisement!
Negative experience: Horrible. DO NOT USE. David Ballard and Jackie Rackley run a bunch of deceitful agents stealing your money. Buyer, beware!
Negative experience: If I could, I would give this company zero stars. I have wasted so much time on five different phone calls trying to get my "free" cruise that I was promised at Bass Pro Shops. I payed $150 upfront at Bass Pro for this "deal." I was promised that I could go any time of year, on a 3, 4, or 5 day cruise, and leave from a port of my choice. Well, they do everything possible to make you upgrade and end up paying the same as if I called the cruise line myself. When I don't want to upgrade, they give me one option, one date that I don't want, leaving from a port that I don't want, and it's a three day and instead of the five day cruise that I was requesting. They keep saying, "Call back to see if something else comes up," but of course nothing ever does. My schedule is actually fairly flexible, but it's like they go out of their way to make it NOT work with what you request so that you'll have to pay more or not book at all. I've been calling since November and it's now mid-January. COMPLETE SCAM. Makes Bass Pro look bad and I don't even care to shop there anymore.
Negative experience: please! i repeat please! don't get suck up in this scam. They make the everything sounds so good, till you get to the 8 hour presentation. they will try and sell you out of your underware if you let them. please do your research
Negative experience: I agree 100% with Ben Pressley! My wife and I purchased a weekend getaway and sat through their sales pitch. We were told we got a free cruise. When we tried to book our cruise we were told there was nothing available and our certificate was useless. I upgraded to a larger bed and room to a price of only about $100 off the regular price. Price quoted by VTT was 699, on Travelocity it was 805.88 for same cruise and room. At best you are lucky to get a discount off of travelocity or some other travel site.
Negative experience: Well they got me. I bought the package. You have 30 days to return it. After 3 weeks I called because I hadn't received any letter in the mail.. they "verified" my address and since they had the right address on file they told me I probably just over looked it in the mail. Which would probably work on anybody else but I'm a business owner and I got thru every piece of mail, not to mention I was waiting to receive this letter from them. They said they would resend the letter and I'm already over this unprofessionalizm so I asked to speak to the supervisor.. he got on the phone with a TON of attitude. Told me I had thrown the letter away it happens all the time..I asked for a refund but they can't give you a refund without you sending the package back... the package that I never received in the first place. So I said well send me another so I can send the dang thing right back and he informed me it would be past 30 days at that point.. BAM. I've never been scammed before, so I was just in shock at how I got played and the rude supervisor was cherry on top
Fantastic experience: I loved booking our last minute summer vacation - June 2016 with one of the greatest specialist Tyler Jackson. Everything was perfect, we got a really good deal with no surprise charges. Tyler was very professional and courteous. I highly recommend Vacation Tour & Travel!!! Looking forward to booking our next June 2017 Vacation with Tyler again!! :)
Negative experience: This is a scam! Do not do any business with this company. They have horrible service and bad leadership when dealing with issues.
Negative experience: Vacation Tour and Travel cannot prove any cruise availability as promised. They are requiring more money on cruise certificates then was promised. My wife won a Free cruse from company name "Florida Resort Exchange", the only thing we will have to visit presentation for the 90 min, then we will get our Free cruise which will be leaving from Port Everglades, FL or Miami and it will be 3-5 day cruise the only we will have to pay $105-110 tax to Carnival for both person. We visit the presentation where we spent 3 hrs. but God Bless not money, due it was time share lying thing.so after all they give us certificate for free cruise where they state that we have to call 90 days prior the cruise to the Company name " Vocation Tour and Travel " but now for cruise we will have to pay $129-$199 per person. We called after all bla bla bla they said the only cruise they have from Jacksonvile to Bahamas, but if we want to upgrade they have a lot of options and she gave us double price which even Carnival not charging for the Cruise. Next Day I called again, the lady said that we loose our option to go from jacksonville and now we have only one place left from Long Beach California 4 Day Cruise. I said I dont care about date just give me something from Fort Lauderdale or Miami like was promised at any date, she said the only option they have Long Beach and it will cost to Us $400. It was our worth experience. I don't Know how Come Both: "Florida Resort Exchange" and " Vocation Tour and Travel " can actively lie to people in the USA, how come government can allow to do this in this beautiful country. I'm a US Citizen and this is unacceptable. But after all this story we called Carnival Cruise Lines and they do have all the cruises available all the time with no problems from whichever locations we want to go. How come both: "Florida Resort Exchange" and " Vocation Tour and Travel " can use Carnival Cruise line Name and Lie, how come they can even be called as Travel Agency.
Negative experience: Connie Kirby, Wanda Flemister, You should not be allowed to sell Cruises on behalf of Carnival. You are the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of having worked with. From the reviews I read from customers and employees, you are not heading for a good time. To other customers and employees: if you are interested in filing a class action lawsuit, please reach out to me at my email address of this name on Google. Sounds like these people need to be put in their place. I was also scammed and out of the money for this. Bad bad bad business ethics. I thought these places were a thing of the past, but nope!
Negative experience: If I could have done none I would have. This place deserves no stores whatsoever. My husband paid this upfront a long time ago and when we decided to take our granddaughter to Myrtle Beach South Carolina we were told that we would be staying in one of two nice resorts with on beach access or near beach access. We were also sent two websites to check out. both places had a lazy river. Got very excited and sent them to our granddaughter. Only to find out that we are staying at a hotel. Very disappointed and asked why we were not told this upfront. We got a lot of BS.my husband spoke even to a manager and nothing was done looks like we are either out of the money or we have to stay in a hotel and disappoint our granddaughter. They tell you only what you want to hear and hand you over to other people.. With all these bad reviews I'm surprised they get away with this but apparently because we didn't know about these bad reviews other people won't either and they keep getting away with this bad treatment of people like us.
Negative experience: Very manipulative advertising. They claim you pay an upfront cost and get a 3 day trip and a free cruise. And yes, the salesperson did use the word "free". We took a 3 day trip to South Carolina which was nice. Then a year later, decided to take our cruise. Long story short, it is not a free cruise, it is a cruise where you pay port fees, taxes, fuel surcharge, agency fees, an still pay for the cruise itself (at a very small discount). Overall, I would have been charged $560 for the cruise, but if I book it through the cruise-line itself, it is $620. That's the discount- $60. Just be aware, the cruise you will end up with maybe a 15% discount at best .
Negative experience: From the other side of your (several) calls that you receive from this place, I can tell you that the workers here are not treated fairly. Once a girl was fired on the spot for basically nothing and she was one of the better telemarketers. The floor managers yell for no reason whatsoever, and it's hard to hear in a room filled with 40 other people giving the SAME sales pitch every time. The deals are great, yes. But if you don't book your vacation soon enough, you'll lose your cruise. Book at your own risk is what I would tell people.
Negative experience: We were flat lied too. We did the Savannah, Ga. tour and was given a free cruise for doing the tour. When we called to schedule a cruise and they laughed in our face.. I think this is a scam!!!
Fantastic experience: this place is amazing!!!! I love the deals!
Fantastic experience: We had Received a call from a form we had filled out months ago at bass pro, even though it was not expected, the customer service was very nice, they appear to strive for quality and legitimacy, naturally I was skeptical at a random phone call but then again we did walk away from the phone with a vacation to myrtle beach and almost a week cruise to the Caribbean for less than what we spend on groceries a week. While googleing the company to find out about another trip we had come across these poor ratings and comments, The negative people on here have obviously over exaggerated many circumstances and appear to just be butthurt. out of the 7 months I spoke to different representatives countless time not one of them ever appeared rude or out of professionalism. We booked our trip within the first month of purchasing so they didn't have a chance to call us and remind us about our purchase, but I don't see how a monthly call would hurt anything with it just being served as a reminder In-case for whatever reason a person was to forget they still had a vacation to use (there are people like that out there). will definitely be booking with vt&t for our summer trip to Branson!
Fantastic experience: we have traveled with vacation tour and travel several times. we have never had a bad experience. its a great way to travel to several destinations while saving a lot of money. we will continue to travel with them!
Negative experience: If you are looking for a company who will take total advantage of you book with them. They don't admit that they say anything and are a 3rd party reseller of crap. Legally they are ok by morally they definitely don't live like people in the bible belt. Save your money and deal with a reputable company. They deny that they say things even when you have a voice mail, they still deny saying it.
Fantastic experience: I'm pretty sure half the people on here that have written bad reviews have never even traveled with this company. They're just angry because they got a call they weren't expecting. My wife and I were able to book a getaway to Pigeon Forge, TN. We went and visited the property and we didn't purchase anything, but it was still a pretty resort so it wasn't a complete waste of time. Now we're leaving for Cancun, Mexico on our cruise in July and we're saving a TON of money. I'd say this is a really great investment if you like to travel. Will book again to Las Vegas if we become eligible in the future.
Negative experience: I kept getting this weird number call on my phone, so one day I finally answered and it was a guy named Cody something, he started telling me about this great vacation deal all for $300. I said no at first but he got some other person, (Patricia maybe?) on the phone and she talked me all the way down to $150. Well some time goes by about 3 months and I start getting these calls from a girl named Ashley, I finally call her back to tell her I'm not ready to go yet. 4-5 days later I get another call from a guy named Justin he starts trying to get me to go too! Now I'm mad and I told him to tell everyone else not to call me, I'll call them. I get more calls about a month later! Well now that I'm ready to go and they are telling me I can't go when I need to. I'm just giving up the $150 I spent last year. If you deal with this company you'll be paying them to annoy the crap out of you.
Negative experience: Its a scam, they have owed our family several hundred dollars for over 6 months. No matter how cheap it seems, do NOT pay for anything from these people
Negative experience: Terrible rude and Hard to deal with!!! tried to book a vacation and got nothing but terrible attitudes. do not use this company
Negative experience: Save your self some heartache and DO NOT BOOK with these people. Their customer service is terrible. Every time I called, the wait time was at least 20 minutes. Once you get a hold of an agent and establish a working relationship with them, no other agents will help you. The result being that even when you get through, it's only to be told that "so and so" is not available, and they will have to call you back. I called them three times and this was how I was handled. If you give them your money you will never get any of it back, regardless of whether or not they render services. For the love of all that is good in this world, BOOK WITH ANYONE BUT THESE PEOPLE.
Negative experience: This company tele-spams you right in the middle of dinner. They have no regard for the do not call registry.
Negative experience: Terrible experience! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I tried to book a cruise with a voucher from them and was told that even though I attempted to call before the voucher expired that it was my fault and that I should not have waited that long to book it because they ran out of the promised cabins. The representative that I spoke with was very rude. I assumed that since I purchased a voucher via the Today Show that it would be legitimate, but now I am out of $549 because of it. I am only writing because I was refused help from the company, so I wanted to warn others before they are caught in the same predicament I am in. I will more than welcome a follow up from the company.
Fantastic experience: Great Expereance!
