Pelican Beach Resort Condo Rentals

Fantastic experience: We have stayed at this resort yearly since 2017! It's gorgeous, clean and convenient to all the local dining and shops! Happy to make this part of our families summer memories each year!

Positive experience: This was a Airbnb condo that was beachfront. The location was nice and the condo was comfy but just too much decor stuff. The owner just went total nautical theme which is ok but too many. This resort is a bit stuffy with too many rules DON' T DO is all you see, and keep it quiet after 7 because you may get thrown out. We didn't really like the area although it seems to be great for family and kids.

Positive experience: Place needs a lot of work

Fantastic experience: Well cared for. Two really nice pools. Tiki bar by pool. Staff walking around making sure things are going well, or offering to get food/drinks for you. Short walk across the sand tothe Ocean's edge. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Our room needed bathroom updates. The shower doors were hard to open and shut. All baseboards need to be replaced. They, along with the vanities, have chunks missing and are swollen, apparently from being water soaked, maybe. The king bed was comfy. However, the twin bunk bed was not. When you sat on it, your behind hit the bottom of wooden structure ot sat on. I went to the front desk, and within a few hours, they brought up a 4" foam topper. It slept great!!

Fantastic experience: This year we stayed in a beautiful 2B2B on the 14th floor and the view was amazing! We had stayed at this resort three years in a row now and we love that there is 3 pools and a cafe on site. The beach is just a few steps away with a tiki bar!

Positive experience: The staff was really nice. The cafe and tiki bar were super convenient and had most anything you needed (sunscreen, sunglasses, food, water, beer, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, etc.). There are three pools,, there was plenty of parking, the beach was easy to access. My only complaint would be,, we paid for chairs on the beach because we were told you are not allowed to set up personal umbrellas or lawn chairs in front of the paying guests. That was not the case,, no one enforced it. I felt duped paying so much for two chairs and watching other guests sit on chairs they didn't rent and set up their personal stuff in front of us. No one from the resort monitored or enforced that rule. Our next visit I will do the same as most and not rent the beach chairs. Also, if you are wanting to rent the beach chairs they told us the first two rows are booked until next year, make reservations for them we'll in advance or you will be in the 3-5th row

Positive experience: Nice place to stay. 5 pools, even a little one for the babies. 4 stars because the Tiki bar closes between 5 and 6, they pick their hours and the Cafe closes at 4 so this means no food or drinks after this.

Negative experience: First of all it took this waiter to walk by our table ten times before the manager asked us if anyone taken our order all of a sudden she is taking our order, after we was done she left us and started making drinks at the bar before she came back to close our tab.I would never come to this place again!!!Waiter name Delphia

Fantastic experience: Beautiful resort, ocean front, well maintained very clean quarters. Indoor outdoor pool that's 1 of 3 pools. Relax in the Hot tubs enjoy breakfast at the on site Cafe , ATM available, all you need for unforgettable vacation, beautiful resort and beach.

Fantastic experience: We have been to Pelican for the last 5 years and ever since me and my wife had our first anniversary. I love Destin and have thought of staying at other locations but I always return to Pelican. I Like the location of the resort on the strip. It's kind of in the middle and always has alot going on. The rooms are spectacular and the views are even better. They have 2 pools and a cafe as well as an arcade. Parking is close to building and right across street from water park. I'll probably eventually stay somewhere else besides pelican but if your looking and wondering then let me say that Pelican is a great experience and I'll always have a special place for the resort in my heart. In other words its pretty dope. Get a room on 16th floor if you can. The view from here at night is amongst the best anywhere. Oh, also the water is nice and clear and gorgeous compared to other spots in the gulf.

Fantastic experience: This place has it ALL Family fun, clean and gorgeous condos, restaurant, gym, tiki bar, beach rentals, safety flags.... Leaving is the hardest thing to do.

Negative experience: This is a rating based on booking and cancellation. Once you book with them, they offer no cancellation refund. I booked online and that same day about one hour later after a family meeting, we decided to cancel and was surprised to see that they still charged 50% to card. There are a lot of more options with “free cancellation” that you can choose from. We all have unexpected issues that sometimes call to cancel a reservation, just wished they understood that.

Positive experience: The room we stayed in was very nice and updated but I would never stay in a room I can't use the stairs to access. The elevators take forever and they never have had all of them working at the same time in the multiple times I've stayed here. The beach is also very crowded. It's pretty much the only hotel in the area with 4 or 5 rows of beach chairs so it's hard to get a decent view.

Fantastic experience: Excellent place

Negative experience: I rented a condo through Airbnb and it wasn't up to par to all the other airbnb / condos I have stayed at. I was charged a cleaning fee but, the place wasn't clean in anyway. Bugs in condo, sand on the floor in every room and a pool right outside the balcony with trash in it.

Fantastic experience: We are so happy we were referred here for our week long getaway.... the staff is friendly, amenities great and rooms are spotless, full of features. The condo owners at the facility always made us feel welcome and included us as if we were part of the group. We could not have asked for better and we will be back.

Positive experience: Well maintained property. Stayed in room 811. Positives: ocean front balcony and extra windows on side of room giving better visibility of the beach. On site tiki bar. Negatives: bedroom located at front of room near walkway directly across from the trash chute. Limit time to use chute from 7am-11pm. Woke us up almost every morning with trash rattling down the chute. The current pool under construction will be beautiful when completed but currently a bit of an eyesore with accumulation of trash floating in the small amount of water in the bottom of the pool.

Positive experience: Our specific condo was great. Very clean, owner was great to work with. However, beach area super crowded during the day and they put the chairs very close together. You can only sit behind 6-8 rows of chairs if you don’t rent. They have a posting that there is a time limit on how long you can sit at the waters edge with children.

Positive experience: The Resort is nice enough. One outdoor hot tub. One outdoor pool. One indoor/outdoor pool (you can swim from outside to inside). Another pool is under construction. There is a hut to buy drinks right before you hit the sand at beach. Cafe on site near pools. Showers between beach and pools. Resort seemed clean to me. We stayed in a condo and didn’t deal with staff at the resort so can’t speak to them. The biggest issue I faced was you had to setup behind the resorts umbrellas and chairs which were six deep.

Negative experience: Good location but they have a policy that you are not allowed to bring your own chairs to the beach and put them in front of the chairs they rent. Consequently, they have 5 rows of chair and umbrella rentals and you are stuck behind them all where you can't enjoy the water. When we inquired about renting one of their chairs, we were told we would be on the back row because the chairs get rented as much as a month in advance.

Positive experience: Great vacation spot. Nice location and good beach access. They do cover access to beach with too many chairs and umbrellas though. Great rooms.

Negative experience: Nice condo. Terrible resort!!! Abandoned construction, the entire front of the beach reserved for rental chairs and umbrellas $35/$100 day!?! Chains down both sides of the beach to the water. Lobby and bathrooms are dirty. I will NEVER come back here!!!!!

Negative experience: We stayed here and it was great all besides my wife getting glass in her hand when rubbing the top on the furniture from a past tenant I’m assuming. We finally got the shard out the next day and he’s to get tweezers from front desk and they never sent room service after saying they were going to send them.They must have gotten busy both times we asked for them or simply forgotten or neglected our requests several times,but we had to deep clean right away after arriving to ensure our young children do not get hurt Not happy about it I never leave bad reviews so that’s pretty bad

Fantastic experience: It was extremely accommodating. We ended up needing a early check in, and the manager was very understanding, and made it happen for us. The condo was extremely clean, and had absolutely no issues what so ever. We plan on returning on June.

Positive experience: This resort is located on the water side across from big kahunas water park. There are a lot of units make sure you get one with a view. I recommend staying higher up above the 10th floor. The views in my review are from the 20th floor. The hotel staff are nice. The grounds are well maintained. You can’t have personal Umbrellas and beach chairs near the ocean. You have to pay to rent umbrellas and chairs. There are 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. The cafe was busy and I was told the food was good. You have a wrist band to let security know you are a guest and to keep others from using the resort. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bedroom units. The 2 bedroom units have washer and dryers the 1 bedroom doesn’t. You can call the resort directly and book a rental through them. The resort has privately owned units and rental ones. I would avoid using Rental websites. If you are using Airbnb make sure the host is not a property management company. I made that mistake it you don’t want to go through it. Avoid holiday isle property management if you can.

Positive experience: The resort is pretty nice. The private beach access is very convenient and in addition to the pool it's a great combination. The pool is often filled with kids and their families. The little tiki bar is also nice for a drink. You can also get chair and umbrella service close by.

Positive experience: It's an ok place. Good internet, close to a lot of places to eat and see. Sadly they cover up the entire beach in umbrellas and chairs for rent, and you can't go past a certain point to set up some chairs and towels. So, unless you wanna pay to rent those, you'll have zero view of the beach while laying out or playing kids, etc.

Negative experience: Pretty trashy. Views were good but rooms needed updating and the space on the beach was lacking. Many other better places to stay in Destin.

Fantastic experience: We had an absolutely wonderful time my lil Granddaughter just got darker & darker every day I wish we could have stayed 2 weeks just to see how dark she would have gotten & she had just started trusting the ocean. We love the Terrences

Fantastic experience: This place is beautiful and so clean. I loved staying in unit 611...right on the end and close to the stairs, not too high that I got weak kneed looking over the balcony, and a very nice and updated unit!!! I'll definitely be making this a yearly visit.

Fantastic experience: My favorite place to stay in Destin. No roads to cross to get to the beach. They have an indoor and outdoor pool. They also have a cafe which is kind of like a convenience store in the building where you can also get coffee, baked items, etc. If you stay at The Terrace it's a longer walk to the beach so keep that in mind when booking. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic experience: We stayed in mid September. The weather was perfect. Still very warm but not too humid. I took my family with 3 little kids and they all loved it here! The resort has great access right to its private beach. Our room overlooked both the beach and the main strip. The whole facility was clean, and had great amenities like multiple swimming pools, multiple outdoor showers, laundry, a gym, beach umbrella service, an outdoor bar, and multiple elevators for quick access back to your room. Very safe and close to the main strip where restaurants and shopping is located.

Positive experience: We had a wonderful time in this resort, the family enjoyed it...the only thing we had problems with was that in the room 1611 the bed was horrible we woke up every day with back aches....and the sofas stank like armpit they need to upgrade on this two things everything else was good and working properly and well cleaned.
