Rodeway Inn: Reviews
Negative experience: Same hotel as the Grand hotel
Fantastic experience: Execelentes precios
Negative experience: I made a deposit of 100 dollars, this morning when I was leaving, they simply didn't return the 100 dollars to me
Negative experience: Disgusting place ,worst I ever been to , we booked 3 nights but cancel immediately and asked for a refund the moment we opened our room door. Place need to be torn down
Negative experience: Answer your damn phone. Ridiculous.
Fantastic experience: A great place for us homeless methheads to sleep.
Negative experience: Don't recommend
Negative experience: Bed bugs, loud noises and dope boys and street walkers run this place. The lobby looks better than the outside decor. Cheap so it attracts a particular crowd.. No need to call names but the staff was great to offer us a new room which was better.. Beware 105 has bedbugs again. And yes we took pics of them little night crawlers. So stay at your own risks...but beware.
Fantastic experience: Was here 2 year ago and now over the summer... Wow!! Night and day of what these new owners did to change this place. great job!! Will be back!!
Negative experience: This place is the worse. Great location but no house keeping. We got assigned to a filthy room. We paid for breakfast there was none. Meal terrible burnt berger. Staff shows no remorse. Never again
Fantastic experience: Free breakfast is great
Negative experience: The bedside lamp was broken. Door frame had issues - it took major effort to close it. Only ice machine is on first floor but signs indicated there was one on each floor. Toilet seat was falling off toilet.
Positive experience: The hotel is in need of a renovation, which is likely the next step. We booked the hotel about 2 months ahead of our stay, and it changed from Rodeway Inn to the Grand Hotel in that time. Confusing. The service was great though. The location is closer to train tracks, fyi
Negative experience: Is ok
Negative experience: We stayed here in June 2018 with a large group of people. They were remodeling and did their best to accommodate us. They even moved us to nicer rooms. However, charges, most likely from the bar, just recently cleared our accounts in December 2018. We have called the hotel multiple times with no real answers as to what happened. Multiple people in our group filed fraud charges through their bank. I would never stay here again. There is no trust in them to keep your bank information safe.
Positive experience: They changed the name to grand hotel. It took me a really long time to find econo lodge.
Positive experience: Has a bed
Negative experience: never stay here they charged me two times never gave me back my deposit and for what i paid i expect way better rooms. they have a tv that has 4 channels on it sometimes . now they wont give me my money back
Positive experience: Econo Lodge is now the Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel. We did not get notified of The change prior to our stay. So my husband passed it twice on the road. The Hot water in the bathroom is nonexistence. We're in December showering in Luke warm water. Econo Lodge promised a breakfast contintal but because of the Hotel change if we didn't bring it to the front desk attention they would of kept the charge of $56. But did promise to reimburse us that amenity. Our room faced the railroad side so every 30 mins we get a blaring train horn blasting thru. Not Cool. The only Ice machine in the hotel was broke but they said we could get ice at the front desk.
Negative experience: The place isn’t that clean. They have roaches & the bed sheets don’t smell the most fresh. This place was definitely a last restore & I regretted it.
Fantastic experience: Very clean
Negative experience: Continental breakfas from orange juice
Negative experience: Please take into consideration the other reviews here that are 1 star. I didn’t and thought I would give this place a chance... big mistake. Pros: The only nice thing about this place is the lobby. Cons: There’s a train that goes by every hour BLASTING it’s horn, day and night. It woke me up EVERYTIME. I had to go to Walmart and buy earplugs and that didn’t even help. The beds and pillows are extremely hard. Neighbours were ridiculously loud, I guess because the door is thin. And now for the final straw... I left my shorts hanging on the bathroom door nob and when I grabbed them to fold them back into my suitcase, I saw antenas sticking out of my pocket to find THE BIGGEST COCKROACH OF MY LIFE. That was when we decided to check out ASAP. Never again.
Negative experience: I wish I’d have read the reviews before reserving our room. The sink water didn’t turn at all, they only put one washcloth in our room and it had someone else’s hair on it, the toilet water ran a long time after flushing, there were long black bugs crawling on one bed, the noise from the nearby train was unbearable, you could also hear everything from rooms above us and people walking past our window, no coffee maker, staff was not polite, no mattress covers, sheets so old and thin we could see the stains on the mattress through the sheets. There was a large puddle of water on the floor from the fridge and when I showed it to staff he plugged in the fridge and left the puddle. The rooms are outdated but that’s minor compared to it’s other problems. We’ve stayed in over 50 hotels in the USA this year and this was one of the worst experiences.
Negative experience: Coming to this hotel was probably one of the worst decisions i’ve ever made. First off when i was calling to book a room the guy up front kept putting me on hold, i was on hold three times for more than 10 minutes each time til i finally decided to give up and just wait til i was physically there to book my room. I got there about 2:30 AM, extremely tired. As we were checking in both of the men at the front desk were being rude for whatever reason. One man proceeded to say “are you going to cook for your boyfriend?!” while giggling, I did not know what was funny and why that comment was made but again it was very late and we had no other choice in hotels. So we sucked it up and just went about our business. My boyfriend had to be up at 5AM that morning. When we woke up we noticed his wallet was missing. We were going back and forth from the room to the car searching for the wallet and i remembered the last place we had it was at the front desk when we both provided our ID’s to the gentlemen... We asked the men at the front desk and he proceeded to “look around” and ends up walking outside and walking directly to the wallet and yelled “oh isn’t this your wallet?” I don’t know how he knew exactly where it was since it was OUTSIDE and he is at the front desk (the front desk is to the left of the entrance so it’s impossible to see outside..) and the location of the wallet was insane because it was literally on the opposite side of where we parked..... my boyfriend proceeded to check his wallet and happened to notice there was $400 dollars missing. Nothing else was taken. We then asked the man if there were any cameras that would of possibly caught this on tape and he said no there wasn’t any cameras. *First red flag*... So we waited til the morning and I spoke with the manager. I also asked the other employee’s that came in if there were any cameras outside and they explained to me that there was.. Me and my boyfriend walked outside as well and seen indeed there are more than 10 cameras outside... We started to feel safe then.. Something had to be caught on camera... We made a police report and provided that to the manager and she then explained that on the cameras (“ the way there are positioned, she wasn’t able to see anytning”) supposedly.. And she told me she would “fire” him but i don’t know how true that is. and The water in my “suite” was cold. It was ridiculous.
Fantastic experience: My name is Jahquez Hylton Im an Assistant General Manager at the Fairfield Mariott in downtown Atlanta My experience at the Econo Lodge was absolutely phenomenal. The entire staff was outstanding The Front Desk Manager was a doll and im not jus saying that because i was attracted to her The entire front desk did a fantastic job and i can't wait to revisit them... I honestly thought i was @ a 5 ⭐ Resort Thank you all so much See you very soon Yours Truly Jahquez Hylton
Negative experience: Don't stay here, worst experience of my life
Negative experience: Is dirt.smell bad. Is ugly .
Negative experience: Wouldn’t even give it a 1 they make you pay a deposit of $50 dollars and then won’t return it and then when you call they can’t find your account
Negative experience: This place is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’m here right now writing this review. The water is freezing cold, no cable TV literally only ONE channel works and it’s extremely loud outside. I wish I can give 0 stars
Negative experience: I stayed at this place many times and had a good experience with a couple employees. Unfortunately last night proved to be the last time I will ever stay here. Horrible guests services. I was charged fees that I've never paid before not even the previous night here. I was charged 13 times on my card and had to call my bank to fix this issue. I got to listen to a train all night that was so close it sounded as if it drove through my room. In the morning I got ready for work with no hot water what so ever. If your going to spend $80 on a room I highly suggest you shop around. I don't suggest using the water in the coffee maker either it is yellow.
Fantastic experience: Really nice room they have renovated the rooms very lovely.
Negative experience: The worst of the worst Hotel ever , I stay 3 nigths , and the 3th night the manager Nikisha call a towing company to tow my boyfriend car , even whit the parking pass in his car, the stole $50 from his car, make him to pay $124. Towing , he found the parking pass because he misplaced it , try to get his money back and they told him that at was too late, the towing guy told him that the mananger call them , so now we're calling her , but she never come to the phone , i did call my credit card company and we open a dispute, we coun't sleep because this a lot noise , drunks and drug addicts stay in this hotel, I din't read the reviews , but idea.
Negative experience: Just traveled 22 hours in a car. Couldn’t wait to get a good nights sleep. Fire alarm right outside room, went off 3 times in the middle of the night and they let it go on for 30-45 minutes each time before turning it off. At check out I asked for a refund, but manager was not available. Call her and could not leave a message. Texted her and never got a response back. Rest of staff was nice but manager Keisha Johnson need fired for horrible customer service!
Negative experience: There is no soap or clock I in my room. The breakfast bar consists of apples, fruit bars, brownies and danish's. Jelly, but no bread to put it on. No water and mini golf is shut down. No cable, just found out regular tv sill exists.
Negative experience: Car doesn't feel safe and some door locks are not in the best condition. Cleaning staff did not have room ready til after 5 had to carry my bags with me for dinner because they were still cleaning. Checkin is 3pm and checkout is 11am..pretty early for a late check in.
Negative experience: They tow cars of guest. The train goes by every hour making lond horn blowing noise. Shower handle falling off. Rock hard beds. Don't stay here.
Positive experience: I was pretty much up and down so I didn't get to enjoy the hotel as much but I can say the room was really comfortable. The price was great just those dope heads made it look bad by lofting around and smoking.
Negative experience: I would not recommend this hotel. They offer no cable TV, the walkway was always wet and hazardous. I was very disappointed during my stay. However, the staff was friendly and the rooms were fairly clean.
Positive experience: Kind staff. Really beautiful rooms, cords in the room were tangled and unplugged. With a little extra TLC, would be 5 stars in no time!
Negative experience: worst place to stay
Negative experience: Horrível, passa um trem buzinando todos os dias de 6:00 da manhã até 23:00 horas
Negative experience: They had a fridge and microwave, but the accessible bathroom didn't have grab bars, the phone didn't work, one of the lamp bulbs had blown, and the room door was difficult to close and open (wasn't setup right). Plus the front desk guy was a bit condescending like peter dinklage in that chris rock Martin Lawrence movie lol
Negative experience: I would give it a zero if it was possible! My first room had no hot water at all! They didn't even have basic cable! The second room had electrical outlets that didn't work! No cover over the air conditioner vent in the bathroom. We basically had to clean the room ourselves. They even left the painters tape on the front door. With all the problems I had they charged me as if I was getting the full amenities which wasn't even close. The cost didn't match the quality of the rooms. I notified the front desk for each issue I had but was never contacted by a manager.
Negative experience: Where should I start. The hotel is still under construction. I arrived at 1:30pm, and because checkin is set at 3pm I understood why my room wasn't ready. I called ahead of time and a gentlemen told me in the case of early arrival they would be able to store my luggage until I checked in. When I got there the lady at the desk told me they don't have anywhere to put my luggage and if i had to travel with my stuff. When i was able to check in my room was nothing like the advertisement. They sale you this beautiful resort with nice views but in reality your coming a motel with 1set of towels, wall unit ac, no phone, no dresser draw, table lamp with no bulb, 4k tv that shows digital pictures, direct tv without any channels (unless you like cartoon network & direct tv news), yellow toilet water in a toilet that won't flush, a guy was painting our door while we was in our room. He never knocked to let us know what he was doing, it wasn't until I opened the door to see what the random noise was when I saw him and his brush, a sign that says the ice machine is on your floor but its not....its on the first floor by the pool. Breakfast is open 6am-9am so I apparently don't wake up early enough to get. Housekeeping only came by to drop off towels. I asked the housekeeper about taking out our trash and tissue she ignored me. There's a lot of trains that will pass through the day right behind the "hotel". Headed out for the night I slipped and fell outside my room from the condensation from the ac units. I told the guy at the desk and he said it will be token care of, when I came back in there was still no wet surface sign or anything, he didn't do an Incident report or a written statement. This hotel seems more like a apartment complex. Beware when booking this place. Brunch and the pool were the best past of my stay. The restaurant is only open on Sundays, black owned was definitely a plus. The restaurant owner was very hospitable and the music was great considering every club we visited played an up tempo beat something we're not used to. It felt good to listen to music I can swing along with.
Positive experience: Decent for the price.
Negative experience: Los pasillos son muy sucios
Negative experience: The place is so dirty .. the front counter personal didn’t even give me a hard time cancelling my reservation. The lobby was clean but everything else is dirty. I don’t recommend that people go to this place . The chairs is so dirty and old . They can’t even replaced it or atleaset steam clean it .
Fantastic experience: The room was surprisingly clean for the price and the bed was comfortable
Negative experience: This place is trash!!!!! The staff are friendly pleasant people. Breakfast was included in the deal that I paid for but there was no breakfast at the hotel, there was no wifi and on aug 9 2018 when I checked in I was informed by the front desk that the pool will be opened on the 10th however it was still closed when I checked out on aug 13 2018, the room I was given at first had a broken toilet seat and on the 12th the door malfunctioned so I was given a different room which happened to have a leaking toilet and lastly I booked a double bed room for 3 and the staff kept telling me I can only get 2 wash cloths and 2 towels so I asked for the manager then I started recieving 3 without actually seeing or speaking to the manager. They need to close this place down to complete their renovations and then reopen.
Negative experience: terrible
Negative experience: Sweet courteous staff but under major renovations. I think once is finished it will be nice. I could not get a refund because it was last minute (I get it) but there was no elevator, no hot water, internet, or cable.
Negative experience: This place had nothing. No pool, no mini golf, no phone in the room, the internet does not work even when they said they would fix it. Not even a garbage can in the room. And we weren't the only ones.. A group of four people got put in a room where the ceiling was hanging down - people told me they were reporting this place to the Health Department This place is even charging Resort fees! And to top it all off they didn't have breakfast from as promised. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel.
Negative experience: OMG...what a terrible place!!! They should do an implosion and make a new hotel! The surroundings are terrible and ugly, it's flooded on the outside...I can go on and on! Don't come to this place...the only good thing were the nice staff members.
Negative experience: Ladrones! Tiene contrato para remover tu carro por el Town y que pagues $148 aunque te den el permiso de parqueo ellos dicen que no lo vieron y aun asi se llevan tu carro, por cierto el tren no deja dormir.
Negative experience: Worst Hotel.... Manager was nice but not helpful to the situation. Car got towed even with Permit pArking and nothing was done about it. I didnt sleep due to very loud noise and the front desk did nothing. Very poor hotel, save your money, pay a little more to get better Services.
Positive experience: REAL REVIEW: This place is great for the money. Room smelled clean, friendly staff and centrally located to food and activities. The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that when they say "cable" it's about 8 channels on DirecTV. It wasn't the end of the world as I got to FINALLY catch Rick and Morty for the first time. Breakfast was cheap and disappointing but there's a McDonald's and a Dunkin Donuts within walking distance. They are remodeling so the pool was closed but we expected that as it was stated on the website while booking. Not a bad experience at all, I would stay again for sure. You can do MUCH, MUCH worse.
Positive experience: Nice Hotel, unfriendly staff
Positive experience: This hotel can go either way. It has very nice features of which most are out of order. My room was very comfortable but the bathroom needs updating. The pool was out of order. Mini golf course was out of order. The ice machine was out of order. And breakfast was a complete joke. No cable tv. And the phone didn't work. The parking lot was half flooded. Not to mention the two giant dumpster outside of my room. Overall the staff was very nice.
Negative experience: This morning I reserved a room here and once I arrived I learned that the pool were under construction so I asked to cancel my reservations and to go to the other location they have and they told me No! So I called Choice Privilege to cancel it and they were ok with it but they had to contact Rodeway to be sure they can cancel it due to the construction being done on the pool. And the receptionist told CP that they can cancel it but I’ll still be charged for 1 night which is rediculous! So basically I were stuck and couldn’t doing anything about it so I check in and as soon as I walk in room 416 I here a loud noise going off and I’m walking around the room to figure out what’s that noise, and it was the toilet making a LOUD noise so I go back downstairs to ask for another room and the receptionist with the bad attitude said there wasn’t any more rooms available she will send a maintenance to the room and I’m like no I need another room, so finally she says where you can checkout and my first question were am I going to be refunded my money and she said yes and that’s all I needed to hear to get out of that filthy, no cover on the duvet ugh it were just disgusting and the pool area makes it even worse I’ll never visit that hotel again and they were super slow checking guest in.. And I don’t know if there phones exist inside of the rooms but my room did not have an phone. This place has too many problems and needs to be shut down. Miss Univeral Palms they were by far better in service and quality wise. I can’t post unless I click on a star but NO there’s no stars for me not 1. And they also charged my card twice.
Negative experience: They are trying to save this roach motel by renovating it, they should have demolished it and build a new one, A good way to compared it is like trying to make a 100 year old granmather look like a 18 year old
Negative experience: this place is a terrible place to stay with kids, HOOKERSSSS,DRUG DEALERS, Junkies and weird ass people. First room toilet didn't flush, drains sucked, hole in the wall the size of a human, NO CABLEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fridge old and does not cool, microwave is from the 90s maybe 80s......HOTEL HAS POTENTIAL BUT ITS RUN DOWN TO THE FLOOR. THE GUEST ARE all evicted or hookers, escorts, drug dealer. NOT worth $30 a stay in the night this place becomes real dangerous and in the morning not a soul out. As for " free breakfast brace yourself because its a small table with a gallon of OJ juice cups, coffee and muffins ((((( I CRIED MY 2 night STAY))))))…. Oh yes, the guest smoke weed while your kids are trying to at least enjoy the pool
Negative experience: It's the worst place I've been in years. It is a run down building, with tired and mean face employees. The clerk at the counter charged my card 8 times in a row (he had some kind of nervous problem), causing my card to get blocked by my bank. The "continental breakfast" is a joke, nothing you can't buy with $3 in any cheap dollar store or gas station. It was noisy, full of drunks and yelling customers, the A/C wasn't cooling enough, definitely i will never come back if I can avoid it, never the less I wouldn't recommend it at all to my worst enemy. I checked out and went to the roadway inn fort lauderdale airport, and it was like getting out of hell and coming to heaven.
Positive experience: Giving them 4 stars because when we entered our room the bed pillows were thrown all over the room and the TV was on. Kinda weird but the room was nice and clean.
Negative experience: Don't stay here. I repeat. legally they can't do that, They keep your credit card number on file and run your card without your permission even when you not in the state. Happened to me twice. DO NOT STAY HERE. They got people staying there that basically sale themselves, drugs all kinds of things. You want to know more just contact me. Do not stay HERE. Telling you from experience. Bugs Bugs Bugs . Yeah they cheap for a reason. Staff try and act nice no. Horrible. Don't waste your money.
Negative experience: This hotel is horrible from the front desk to the unclean rooms. Elevators out of service, WiFi was just about the worst I’ve ever had at a hotel. Not to mention the construction which had dust and metal pieces everywhere. Please save yourself the headache and go to La Quinta. The hotel was under construction and had dust everywhere. The elevator was out of order. The staff were nasty and ghetto, ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER KEYSHA. She is the most unprofessional person there. She runs that place like a homeless shelter. Me and my family will never return to this establishment ever. And the night they were having a 4th of July event I saw atleast 10 security guards. Which tells you all you need to know about the nightlife there. Dangerous!!! Me and my family checked out 7 days EARLY and went to LA QUINTA!! Save yourself the headache and don’t stay there. I’ve included photos of the construction worker with mask on sweeping hallways, the manager and out of order sign on elevator.
Fantastic experience: Great location, awesome rooms, clean friendly and so many amenities. A must stay hotel.
Negative experience: It’s very dirty,it was a bad experience, nerver nerver again
Negative experience: Las habitaciones, bus bonita y la atención al cliente también, pero el exterior esta muy descuidado
Negative experience: Lied about internet there is none, parking pass is deceiving and the hotel and always towing is working together to tow your car l, there is a young black lady that call them to tow your car away no breakfast like the booking information says just continental package cakes 1 gal of OJ and coffee ☕️ gives you old worn out towels to use
Negative experience: I can't even tell you where to begin with this. This hotel has really broke my heart. I came into Florida drove 12 hours non-stop for a funeral to bury my sister. I had already accepted the fact that the hotel was dirty and the bedding is old and made noises and everything around me was not star quality. I realized that my stay was only temporary. What broke my heart is, the Saturday when I woke up to dress for my sister's funeral, my car was gone with the luggage in it. The hotel had hired someone to tow our cars, everyone car who didn't put the parking paper in the window. And I was instructed to take an uber to my sister's funeral. My time was running out I had to meet up at the church and I was forced to choose between burying my sister and the pound that had my car. The pound closes on weekends so you are force to pay for another night stay until it opens up on Monday. After explaining my reason for coming in town, they made an exception for me and gave me my car at 7 pm, but I had to pay $150 extra the towing company. This hotel has plenty plenty of parking. No one is booking to rooms, but they are providing loyal customers a disservice by having our cars towed at a fee. Not only was this an inconvenience to my travel, but it also added to my discomfort with dealing with my sister. I cried the whole time. I was in the lobby and I couldn't stop crying how they showed no care for towing their guests cars. The hotel called these people to treat us with so much disrespect when our cars belong in the parking where we pay for service. It was the most saddest and most heartbreaking experience I have ever had coming back to my home state. My heart is broken. I know it's not the lady fault who works there. She was just doing her job. This is the hotel policy to tow cars and have us suffer when we can't afford to make it back home to our families. It created a hardship and you don't want that. Everyone wants their stay at hotels to be nice, pleasant and easy. Easy in and easy out. But these people, they don't care about making money for their rooms, they are more concerned with helping the towing company make money when brings no value to us as a guest. Imagine you're getting ready to check out and your car is gone? The manager was not there for me to get any assistance, so i write my experience here. I did not give it any stars. This is my last stay there. No one will ever treat me like this again at a time that I needed the most support.
Negative experience: Worse hotel do not stay here! Terrible room and staff is just as nasty! Room nasty and to boot my brother experienced severe pain and was taken by ambulance to hsp emergencg....they refused to hold his belonging so we could pick up. I was like really???
Negative experience: Ratchett
Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the updated rooms. Clean property and friendly staff. Very inexpensive for the area. I will stay again
Fantastic experience: I love it here. Just make sure to put your parking pass in the windshield so u don't get towed. The house keeping staff is wonderful and amazing..
Negative experience: They need to renovate
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff..great prices
Negative experience: This was a HORRIBLE experience. The front desk personnel was GHETTO and totally unprofessional. After waiting about 30 minutes to get checked in at 5:30 p.m. when the rooms should have been ready at 3:00 p.m., I got to the room and the rooms smelled like mold, the couch was dirty and sunk in, chairs were dirty, curtains were raggedy and rusted at the top and dirty. The bedroom actually had an outdoor screen door on it. All the neighboring rooms were storage rooms with the curtains open . The stairs and walkways were covered with rusty water and mold. They were also unsafe as the brick tiles were missing in several places which was a complete hazard. Honestly, I could not believe Hotwire had it listed as a three star hotel.
Negative experience: Never go here. Gross and scary.
Positive experience: Descent enough. Ok rooms
Negative experience: THEY RUN A TOWING SCAM SO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR PASS IN YOUR CAR IF YOU STAY HERE. This is a God forsaken place who targets young travellers, and scams and rips off any poor souls unlucky enough to encounter this place. This isnt internet trolling, I mean it, I had a genuinely terrible experience here. Rodeway inn? More like Sodom and Gomorrah. I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere.
Negative experience: First things first this hotel is right by the train tracks so yes! You will be woken up frequently by the train at night. If you’re trying to sleep, THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU. The train isn’t something the hotel can control though so I understand. However the shower water in the room was freezing cold. I let it run for a while and it was still cold. The housekeepers will come open your door way before check out time and will not leave you alone until you leave, even if you ask for late check out. I’d rather sleep in my car and keep my $69 a night.
Positive experience: Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. This hotel just needs a little more TLC. Bumpy parking lot. Stairs we're missing tiles. Sad display for continental breakfast, which is literally the bare minimum a hotel offers. Didn't hear trains everyone seems to complain about. Slept comfortably for the night, and had a hot shower in the morning, (I bring my own body wash) which is pretty much what I paid for.
Negative experience: This place is a dump.No respect for the guests. The front desk guy Antonio was an imbecile.Called down to request an extra pillow,he blatantly told me that they are renovating so he doesn’t have access to any closet and I should wait till tomorrow morning and hung up the phone.I called the front desk back, asked him if he had hung up,he said I felt like the conversation was done.
Negative experience: I don't know what to say. I guess all I can say is you get what you pay for, which I understood going in there. I paid $66 a night and I wouldn't pay any more. I am a very simple man, and I was traveling myself. I can take things being outdated. For starters, keep in mind of the address. There are two Rodeway Inns in Fort Lauderdale. Getting there was a pain. I flew into Palm Beach and drove down after spending some time in Palm Beach and I just wanted to get to my hotel and explore. I booked through a third party website and the main picture was of the pool. So before I go on my trip, I google the Rodeway Inn Fort Lauderdale to get what the building is like. Ok, got it. I get to what is called the Rodeway Inn & Suites and what I thought was the correct location. I went to check-in and they don't have my reservation. I get my paperwork, and I ask if this is 4900 Powerline Rd. They were like no. So flustered after having to stand there for 15 minutes after someone tries to argue over $6 I had to find 4900 Powerline Rd. Which I had to just put the address in my GPS since it didn't register on Waze. So that alone wasted over an hour of my time. Then I got there, and got settled, which checking inn was went very smooth. I go to my room, which was as expected, a little outdated, but the shower had a little bit of mold on it. Again, I could deal with that, I am only there for three nights and I haven't spent my life in a bubble, so I'm sure I'll survive. But as I get settled this is the biggest kick in the balls for me. The wifi doesn't work. I don't even have a choice to pay extra for wifi. So here I am blowing through data on my phone because I have no wifi. Again, it's not the end of the world, I'm on vacation, just gives me an excuse to leave early in the morning and come in late.... But this the final kicker that I didn't think about. This hotel is right next to a train crossing on Commercial Blvd and the trains have to blow their horn as they approach the intersection. Well they are the hardest workers of all because they work all day and night long. Blowing their horns. Now after staying there for 3 nights, I think I'll go to sleep.
Negative experience: DO NOT STAY HERE ITS A DUMP
Negative experience: Garbage
Negative experience: Worst hotel ever. The receptionists does not know how to behave and sent me on road. My mom booked the room in this hotel on behalf of me, the booking was for 2 adults; my mom could not make it but when I arrived the receptionist did not let me stay in the booked room. The total cost for two days was $ 161. People should sue them.
Positive experience: Tv not working.. Remodeling
Negative experience: This was the worst I woke up 3am in the morning to a burning itch all over my body , my 12 yr old laying next to me was itching as well when I took a closer look I saw huge bed bugs on the sheets, mattress, and wall next to headboard I asked for a refund and checked out immediately No management from this hotel even reached out to give an apology of any sort WHAT A HORROR
Negative experience: Absolutely horrible. Bed bugs everywhere! I got bit on my arms and forehead. Absolutely disgusting.
Negative experience: Horrible experience this weekend green I need to speak to someone from corporate
Positive experience: We reserved a room on short notice. The staff was warm, welcoming and professional. The banquet and meeting area was being remodeled so there was some construction in process. The rooms appear to have been recently remodeled with granite countertops, vessel sinks and flat screen TVs. Comfortable beds - got a great nights sleep! A diamond in the rough! Attractive stonework, fountains and brick walkways. A stunning pool area! Would love to see where the remodel takes this establishment... should be great!!
Positive experience: Clean room conferrable bed. The suites are huge. Really nice pool!
Negative experience: The staff was very accommodating. But, this hotel needs alot of work done. Room #1 - slide lock fell off door frame, sticky carpet, mold on ceiling. Room #2 - sticky floor, coaxial cable had to be taped( baggage tag ) to the back of the tv for it to work. Both rooms smelled. Stairs had several tiles missing, tripping hazard. Prices should be half of what they charge. DON'T STAY HERE!
Negative experience: Current photos of room just checked into thru #hotwire
Negative experience: DO NOT STAY HERE! The only good thing about this place is the staff. Every single person who works here is wonderful and kind. With that being said, we booked the hotel for 5 nights, but left after 2. The first room we were in had rats... RATS! There was a crack in the wall that they used to crawl up in. We were moved to an upgraded suite which seemed nice at first. However, the bed had live bedbugs crawling all over it. My husband and I ended up sleeping in our car until we could check into a new hotel. Part of the hotel is under renovations, but the whole hotel needs to be shut down until they finish. It has potential but needs MAJOR remodeling.
