Negative experience: Made an appointment on Monday afternoon for international drivers license, drove 30 minutes to the appointment to find out they were closed. Complete was of my time!!! Why would I be able to make an appointment online when the office is closed and the hours on the door says they are open?! Makes no sense.

Negative experience: Bad customer service from Lynee at front desk. When I walked in she was on her cellphone & didn’t acknowledge me.

Fantastic experience: Christopher at the front desk was very knowledgeable and signed me up in minutes. Even if you don't need insurance, stop by and say hi to Kendall. He made getting home insurance fun.

Negative experience: I called 6 times to get my vehicle towed. Each time the drive4s came out with the wrong equipment. During the 2nd attempt on the 6th try I was called back by a lady. She asked me if me car was towed to the pickup location. I told her It was months ago, but for a different repair. I took the car home, then brought it back in December. The lady then proceeded to go behind my back and call the dealership. The dealership gave her the wrong information and she called me back and said it would have to be a cash tow. No customer wants to be treated like they are lying. I then proceeded to call another company and paid $35] dollars more than I would have paid originally through AAA. I WILL NEVER USE OR RECCOMMEND AAA AGAIN.

Negative experience: Do not visit this AAA location if you want "DMV Select" service. They have no idea what they're talking about. They were unable to understand and process simple forms. Save your time and effort and go directly to a full-service DMV office.

Negative experience: So unprofessional, they make up policies as they go and when you call, you’re told one thing and when you get there it’s another. They close at 4pm, I called prior to arriving and was told as long as I arrived before 4 (I arrived at 330) I drive all the way there just to be told they decided not to take anyone else after 3:09pm and I was sent away leaving me very inconvenienced. Last time I went, there was a 2 hour wait which was ok but the front desk receptionist told me I could leave to grab food. When I came back they told me since I went out the door they took me off the wait list (mind you I was told I could step out) you’re NOT allowed to go outside at all. They’re very unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Negative experience: COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME OMG, thought it would be quicker than the DMV... WRONG! Had to wait for one specific person to do title and registration because they said there is only one computer that can be used to process DMV transactions. 51 minutes later she was still working on first transaction from first customer. (despite having 2 other people and a supervisor "helping" try to figure it out). One of the other reps said that the first customer had multiple transaction so I asked how long did they think it was going to take... the rep taking forever yelled/stated loudly that "there's a full service DMV less than 3 miles away and I could leave if I didn't like it" This rep went on to say other rude comments and be belligerent much in front of the deputy supervisor that just shrugged. Left after little more than an hour with appointment to talk to district manager and no transactions completed. Worst customer service ever and less efficient than the DMV

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful staff. They were busy, but did a great job working the line for International Divers Permit. Also took my photos! I got there around 10:30am on a Saturday and was out the door in 20 min…not bad and very reasonable wait.

Negative experience: Came in 2 minutes after open on a Saturday for help with tag and title, still had to wait almost an hour (only two employees were there with only one being trained in tag and title work and both operated like DMV employees). I said when I walked in I needed help getting DC plates (there is no DC location that offers tag and title services), and they had me fill out Virginia forms. Only After I reminded them I needed DC plates and not Virginia ones, they said they couldn’t help me with that. It was a complete waste of my time, especially since they could have told me when I initially walked in and explained what I needed help with. Probably the first time I was ever disappointed with AAA’s service in 25+ years of membership.

Fantastic experience: Greg was awesome in helping us get our international drivers licenses. Had a little wait before seeing him, but it was pleasant and gave me time to check out their little store. The overall experience was enjoyable and it made me glad to be a AAA member/customer.

Positive experience: This branch NEEDS a number/ticket system. I went here for IDP and there is only 2-3 people ahead of me but it took me more than 35 mins before get assisted. From what the staff were saying, the couple after me said that there is no one in the waiting area so they can be assisted, luckily the staff checked it and I am able to finish what I need to. Giving 3 because of the system and partly the staff there is totally no coordination. I think the only staff moving is Syed which I commend for being all in one while other staff were just sitting not even assisting for other inquiries and photos.

Fantastic experience: Had a scary experience on the side of the freeway last night & our roadside assistance driver who came to give my car a tow back to my hometown was fantastic! He was kind, comforting, and even offered some suggestions to what the issue may have been to point us in the right direction for what needs a thorough inspection at the auto-shop today. Thank you so much Joe! We made it to the concert with your help & I gained some useful tips & tricks for these unplanned situations.

Fantastic experience: Everything was done in a timely fashion and everyone’s was professional. Much better than the last caliber collision location I visited.

Negative experience: I had my Amazon package delivered to this location so that I'm sure to receive it because it stated on Amazon that this was a pickup location. I went to this location when I received the email that my package was delivered. When I got there I wasn't greeted in a timely manner only by one receptionist. After about a minute or so she asked what services was I there for which I stated Amazon package pickup and she said that she will be with me shortly. Normally I do my package pickup from the Whole Foods location on Duke ST but this location is a little closer so I decided to give it a try. I didn't receive a generated code by email so I was told to call Amazon customer service which I did. I was on the speakerphone with the Amazon Rep. and she told me that I didn't need a pickup code for this package but they still refused to give me my package. After some back and forth on the phone and being told this by the staff, I told the guy who helped me to just return the items. I did what he asked me to do by reaching out to Amazon and he heard the Amazon Rep. tell me that I didn't need a pickup code for this order and you still don't give me my package is the reason why I wouldn't recommend this as a good informed, trained staff for Amazon. I feel like this issue was handled with little to no training or information even after being told by an Amazon Rep. that I didn't need a pickup code is the reason I will be going to the Whole Food location from now on where I can be helped by Amazon professionals.

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time. I tried for weeks to get the travel agent to respond to my emails, and then the manager did nothing to help. Found another travel agent who helped me in less than half an hour. My trip (my first vacation in nine years) got completely messed up because of the weeks I tried to get any response at all from Renee.

Fantastic experience: I went to get my international driver's license and paid $21 for a 6 month license. They were very professional and resourceful. Before you go to get your license please take two passport size photos. Some times they do take them but usually they will direct you to CVS nearby for photos .

Fantastic experience: I went this office to purchase an EZ-pass transponder. There was9 no wait and I was attended to by Mr. Syed Huda, who went an extra two miles to explai the place to go.n everything that needed to be done to establish an EZaccount. Mr. Huda was personable and precise. If you are new to Alexandria and need to start an EZpass account, this very accessible office with at least one exceptional Triple-A representative is the place to go. is gbhe plzce to go.ghf place to go.

Fantastic experience: Good experience and I was able to get an international driver's license on a walk-in. Parking is easy if you find the garage in the back. Offers 2hrs and has a door near the exit. They did the photos and issued the IDP with a cost of $38. The location is also for srvice for many other travelers needs.

Negative experience: AAA left me stranded for almost 6 hours.

Fantastic experience: Fred Ashraf helped my husband and I plan our first cruise. He has a wealth of knowledge about cruises, especially Alaskan cruises which we are taking. We did run into a software glitch at the AAA office, but Fred was able to book our cruise, airfare and transfers by the next business day. He is also very responsive to emails and is very pleasant to work with. We look forward to using his services in the future.

Fantastic experience: Best AAA location I’ve ever been into. I first want to recognize the gentleman who helped me at the front desk, Syed Huda. Syed turned my day around as I had been in pouring down rain traffic for over five hours before arriving to the office. I was exhausted and looking to purchase an ez pass to decrease the remainder of my travel time. He welcomed me in, found my AAA account with ease, helped me pick out the product that was right for me then graciously let me use the restroom before heading back out on the road. Not only did he guide me through the experience with knowledge and ease, he was SO KIND. Genuinely kind. I left with a warm heart and smile on my face thinking “wow, I am so lucky to just have had a human experience with this gentleman in this moment”. I hope that Syed is recognized by this company for the truly professional, knowledgeable, warm person he is! -Cynthia.

Fantastic experience: I have known the value of "Triple A" as we valled it. since I first had a driver's license. With only old secondhand cars, my parents knew the importance of having professional help a phone call away. For different reasons, today I visited the AAA office to pick up some paper maps and ask their advice on some directions. Sure, we all have apps, and some GPS maps but over the years, I have found the benefit of holding an old fashioned paper map to find a better way. The people were extremely helpful, patient and kind. They are an A+. For me, it is an investment in my security each time I am in my car.

Fantastic experience: Due to hurricane Ian, my Amtrak Auto Train was delayed for 5 hours, thus I arrived late to Lorton VA. train station. I was to drive to Queens NY for business (cancelled to next day) and needed help not being from the area (Boston is my home and final destination). I just made it to the 2231 Eisenhower Ave. AAA office in Alexandria at approximately 5pm. Mr. Syed N. Huda (at the front counter) was so helpful. His assistance in providing me with a driving route and getting information on several hotels nearer to New York was so helpful. I wish to commend Mr. S. Huda for a job well done. Negative experience: Called on the phone continuously for 15 minutes with no answer. Called their other location in Fairfax, which is completely out of my way, but they answered on the second ring. As far as customer service goes, I wouldn't know, I never got through to ever speak to anyone. Just to give them a chance, I called again and it rang for another 3 minutes. So 20 minutes of my day was taken up by dialing for 18 minutes, and 2 minutes to write this review, and still have no idea what their service is like. As a Premier Member, I was hoping to at least get a "Hello."

Positive experience: Give this 3 stars. Because of getting stuck on the side of the road on a motorcycle. AAA said I didn't have RV coverage. I visited this office a few times. Claims it is clearly marked on the website. Sure if you call light gray text on a white background in small print at the bottom of their website. Clearly marked. Every time I been here or talked to someone on the phone. I gotten the have you checked or considered our insurance? Never one a question about owning any thing that might be covered by some addition. Why not ask do you own any motorcycle or trailers? Nope just let us believe that our current coverage is good enough. Just do a quick search motorcycle and AAA. You will see this is a normal complaint about AAA.
