Fantastic experience: Holly and I had an trip of a lifetime with Bountiful Travel & Dave Hadlock. This is our second trip using Bountiful Travel and can hardly wait to get our next trip scheduled with them. Dave and John have both been great travel guides. I have loved the personal touch they each put into there presentations and allow us to gain a better experience of the historical places we are visiting. This helps brings all the stories to life for me, building my understanding of the scriptures much better.

Fantastic experience: Casey went above and beyond to make our experience in Israel edifying and educational. I appreciated the learning/sharing moments at each place, especially the discussion about the influence of women. The daily breakfast and dinner buffets exceeded expectations. Not only was the experience uplifting but Casey Griffeths seems to have a special gift for finding the good in others and encouraging positivity. We are so glad we went, and could practice being “flexible and friendly.”

Fantastic experience: My trip to Jerusalem with Hank Smith was amazing! Hank is personable, knowledgeable of the place, the history, and people. He set such a great tone for seeing sacred sites and also made things fun at the end of the day when we were tired. I’d recommend a trip with Hank to anyone and any where!

Fantastic experience: I recently returned from a Holy Land Tour with Bountiful Travel featuring educator John Hilton III. It was a fabulous tour. We saw every site, felt safe, stayed in wonderful hotels & especially loved the insights from John. It was a great time to travel with site crowds at a minimum which made it so intimate & peaceful. I will cherish my beautiful memories.

I was so grateful with the preparation before the trip with the communication through emails on packing, scripture study and travel arrangements. We were so happy with the hotels and food! If you’re considering a trip to the Holy Land, I cannot recommend going with John Hilton and Bountiful Travel enough. This wasn’t just a vacation—it was a transformational experience I will treasure forever.

Hank is a fantastic guide, his style is funny, engaging and informative at the same time as really teaching you about what was happening at the times and the struggles the early saints went through. Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot add too much to what people are already saying about the “Bountiful Tours” trip to Israel in Apr/May 2025 with Hank Smith. What I feel needs to be addressed is the fact that this trip was nothing like what I was expecting! I don’t really know what I was expecting…but what I got, out of it, is worth its weight in Gold! Hank Smith did an outstanding job of associating gospel doctrine with the Historical sites that we visited! The teachings help cultivate an attitude of gratitude for what Jesus Christ gives us, and takes us to a journey to truly experience the Savior’s Love for us. I was humbled to realize, recognize, how the Lord, Jesus Christ, went through the process to become our Savior! We gained knowledge of the ‘True to Life’ obstacles The Lord went through and how He overcame the barriers placed before Him to achieve His victory! This tour caught my attention and left a lasting impression. I can assuredly claim that it will do that for you also! We had a sensational learning experience! - And I haven’t even touched on the Glorious Miracles the Savior performed during His lifetime! We had a memorable journey. The instruction was informative! The bonds built are memorable! The experience was unforgettable! If you are looking for experiences that last a lifetime, this is the tour you want to take… and make sure you get Hank Smith as the tour guide.

Fantastic experience: We just returned from the Holy Land tour with Hank Smith. We had an absolutely perfect tour from bus driver, to tour guides and every other member of our group. It was fun to meet Hank's son Mason too. I'd say by the end we felt like family, but it was better than family...no squabbles when tired. Hank shared beautiful connections from the scriptures for us to ponder and study as we toured. It is really hard to say what was my favorite... storm on Sea of Galilee, Hezekiah's tunnel, welcoming the Sabbath at the Western Wall, or sacred thoughts at Gethsemane? I couldn't ask for a better tour. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: We recently joined Hank Smith on the Holy Land Tour, and had a very spiritually uplifting experience. The tour was something to behold and had several exciting and deeply touching moments. This was the best tour I’ve ever been on. If you appreciate laughing and sharing authentic conversation that comes with sharing true life experiences, Hank is your guide. He is funny, teaches throughout the entire tour, and answers questions. You can tell that Hank genuinely is interested in you learning and is not there simply to sell a book or make $. Our tour director inspired and taught. We have gained a greater love for the land and it’s colorful history and the people who live there. Fantastic experience: Our Holy Land tour with Hank Smith was absolutely incredible! We were truly among the lucky ones—perfect weather, no crowds, and we were able to see and experience so much. Many people told us not to go because of the conflict and turmoil in the region, but we are so glad we went anyway. I always felt protected, and with our experienced guides—who do this all the time—we were always safe. We are so grateful for our amazing guides. Mahmud (Muslim sheikh) , Allan, (Scottish Jew) and Hank Smith (Funniest BYU teacher and scriptorian ) for making this trip so meaningful. These three make up the Holy Land Dream Team! We met so many amazing people, who we will now be lifelong friends with. It was the experience of a lifetime—one we will never forget! Also when you go be sure to add on going to Petra! It was AMAZING! I added it on once we were in the Holy Land and it was the best part of the trip! It was unbelievable. Just wish I would have added it on when I booked the tour. Fantastic experience: My wife and I went on the most unforgettable trip to Israel. We will forever remember the experiences, memories, and friends we made there. And because of this trip my personal testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ has been solidified and improved in ways I would have never thought possible! Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible experience with Hank Smith in the Holy Land. The trip changed my life (primarily the incredible knowledge shared by Hank and walking where the Savior walked......but Hank did share a "Heimlich maneuver" joke that may have changed my life as well....just hilarious) Get ready to "be flexible and friendly" and enjoy learning from a Master Teacher who thrives off of being with people....and the occasional energy drink. I just loved learning from Hank, as well as everyone who went on this tour. Also might point out that we felt safe and well taken care of the entire time.....so kudos to Bountiful Travel for putting together a life changing experience.

Fantastic experience: We traveled with Hank Smith and Bountiful travel on the church History tour. It was an incredible family experience to feel the spirit of the historical church history sites and be taught by someone as knowledgeable and fun as Hank Smith! Our kids had a great time. Negative experience: We had a group of couples that had booked a tour to Jerusalem before the war broke out for October 2024 and had been told until just recently that they might still run the tour and would not give us our deposit back. We knew that there was no way with the war that we would be going and were needing to plan a different trip and needed to cancel. They finally officially cancelled the tour and won't give our money back. $500 wasted. Very disappointing and unethical.

Fantastic experience: My July trip to Iceland, Norway, Amsterdam, and Belgium was the trip of a lifetime! I absolutely enjoyed every minute! All the excursions were magnificent and I loved all of them. My favorite guide was Iggy! Thanks for a wonderful vacation! :)

Fantastic experience: I have been on 3 cruises with Don Parry. Each one has been an amazing experience. Don is friendly, kind, patient, and well-informed. Don is an interesting and knowledgeable speaker and gives lessons on the Sundays when at sea.

Damian went with us and, every step of the way, he made sure we were taken care of, getting the best service, and watching out for us. Bountiful also gave us the flexibility to add on time before and after our trip, which I loved! We were able to do things on our own and plan time in other countries- although that wasn’t as organized as Bountiful! We loved the guests- Hank Smith and Casey Griffiths. One day on our cruise we unexpectedly couldn’t go ashore. Hank and Casey spent the day doing lectures, which may not sound fun, but we had a blast and the day flew by. Fantastic experience: We loved our trip to the British Isles Cruise with Hank Smith and Casey Griffiths! One of the best trips I have ever been on! Fantastic experience: We all said our favorite part of the trip were the locations, spots, places, activities where we felt a connection or peace but truly the best part of the trip was Hank and his stories. He had us rolling in laughter then deep in thought, playing games and singing songs. We all walked in as strangers but we left feeling like family. Hank and everyone else was exceptionally kind to our youngest very active kiddos (7 & 9 year olds). Our 15 year old son said it was his favorite family trip we’ve ever taken. Worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: My teenage girls and I just returned from a church history trip with Hank Smith. It was an incredible trip that far exceeded our expectations. Hank is the most remarkable teacher! I found myself marveling at his ability to engage us so thoroughly. We would be laughing one minute and the next minute emotional and overcome with spirit. In truth, I cannot tell you the last time I laughed that much. My girls absolutely loved him and learned so much! We have done these church history sites as a family so I wondered if it would be worth my time and money to go this route. It was 110% worth it. The tour itself with all the different sites was phenomenal. Traveling site to site was seamless… we did it ALL! I cannot believe how much we fit in in such a short amount of time, but the icing on the cake was learning at Hank’s feet. We’ve been home a few days and my girls and I cannot stop talking about it with the rest of the family. We are different after having been taught by him while experiencing these sacred sites. He was an insightful guide that brought light to some really tricky parts of history. He gave my girls (and me) some helpful tools as we navigate our faith in our journey of mortality. Fantastic experience: It has been a dream of mine to go on a church history tour. Bountiful travel definitely lived up to my dreams. Hank Smith was amazing. Bishop Sweat truly made the events of the beginning of the restoration come alive and become very personal for me. I highly recommend anyone with an interest in learning more about the Church to take one of these tours, but I especially recommend taking it with Anthony Sweat!

Fantastic experience: First of all, you have to visit The Holy Land, Israel and all of it. Our support from those in the office of Bountiful Travel, our tour guide, our bus driver and the other tour guides were friendly, so knowledgably, approachable and kind. There was so much information to give, and the gave it all. They didn't miss a beat.

We were nervous about going to Isreal but we never felt unsafe or in danger. Wonderful tour guides too. Fantastic experience: We originally booked our trip to Israel for 2021 and finally were able to go in 2023 but the wait was worth it! John Hilton III was an outstanding teacher, friend and travel guide! Our bud group of 40 was just the right size. The accommodations Bountiful Travel booked for us were just lovely and the food at the hotels was great. Mahmoud was an amazing bus driver and guide! No one can say no to Mahmoud - he got us into whatever location or parking spot we hoped to get into, and even had the entire tour group (100+) over to his lovely home for dinner! The whole experience was just a dream. Thank you so much Bountiful Travel!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I and a few close friends were lucky enough to join Dave Hadlock and John Bytheway on their Holy Land Tour in March 2023. It was an incredible experience, exceeding our expectations. Dave has done an amazing job of creating a support network of awesome local people (friends) there to make the tour run smooth and provide that "off the beaten path" experience, which is unique for large group tours like this. The local guides, the bus, the hotels, the food, etc... all were ideal. His tour agenda moves at a steady yet comfortable pace allowing you to maximize the time you have there and see an amazing number of sites in the region. We came home a bit overwhelmed at everything we were able to see in such a short amount of time. Dave is personable and incredibly knowledgeable. He is clearly passionate about the gospel and this region and loves to share that with others. I would highly recommend adding on the Jordan/Petra days at the end of your trip, if possible. Fantastic experience: Exceptional experience visiting the Holy Land w/ David. It was a once-in-a lifetime trip. David has amazing scripture knowledge and brought an even deeper insight into the holy sights. He is relaxed, easy going, yet his knowledge is so deep and presents in a spiritual way. Highlights were the garden tomb, mount of olives, parable of the road to Jericho, Sea of Galilee, Pools of Bethesda, Bethlehem....I could go on an on. It was amazing. Wonderful now to be able to visualize these significant locations when reading the scriptures. Can't give Dave and Bountiful Travel enough stars!

Fantastic experience: My family and I had an amazing tour thru Israel and Jordan. Dave Hadlock and a John Bytheway were fantastic tour guides. Their knowledge of the scriptures was immense and every stop was insightful and edifying. Accommodations and logistics were better than I expected. The Bedouin Sheikh bus driver was also a surprisingly amazing addition to an already great tour.

Fantastic experience: Our trip to jerusalem and. Jordan with Dave Hadlock and John Bytheway was life changing. Dave's indepth knowledge of Jerusalem, the scriptures, the gospel and his openness of where he gains his strength in life from, was inspiring. Fantastic experience: Our trip to Israel with Dave Haddock and John Bytheway was amazing. It was uplifting, educational, and spiritual. So many wonderful memories will remain with us for the rest of our lives.

Fantastic experience: This was an unforgetable tour. Anyone can go to the Holy Land and see the sights. Most tours probably do a good job of getting you to the best sites, but Dave did a fantastic job of explaining the back story and history of each site as well as using his understanding of the scriptures and the Hebrew language to bring a fuller meaning to everything we saw and the stories and parables that went with them. If you are going to the Holy Land, this is the tour to take.

Positive experience: Just completed the Feb 19th Book of Mormon lands cruise on Carnival Dream with 3 Mayan ruins excursions from Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozumel. Bountiful Travel (***) Could have done so much better keeping customers informed and up-to-date. We were first time cruisers and had no idea what to expect. YouTube was the best resource and still we felt lost on embarkation, excursions, and debarkation days. Carnival Dream (**) First off, the staff onboard the ship were fabulous and deserve 5 stars. We paid for Faster to the Fun (F2F) and that was a waste. Our room wasn't ready for 2.5 hours after we boarded. Our bags didn't show up for another 2.5+ hours or 5+ hours total. F2F was suppose to give our room and bags priority. First 2.5 days our TV worked sporadically, but mostly not at all. Finally, they replaced it but didn't leave the remote so another while before we got that. Morning and evening of last day we had no hot water. It was repaired in time for shower on the last night aboard. Food was okay most of the time, we did have a couple of entrees that were not good. Portions are small, order 2 of anything you might like. Food got repetitious on the 6 day cruise. Entertainment varied from great to fair. F2F was supposed to allow us a later debarkation time but we were hustled off quickly and ended up waiting over an hour for our ride. Also, we upgraded to a Cloud 9 Spa state room but with the excursions and seminars we had very little time to utilize the spa area. Excursions (**) Our excursions were booked through Bountiful Travel and not through Carnival. So note, if you are late you can be left behind. First port day in Costa Maya was short and they packed too much into the excursion, which made it less than it could have been. We had to hot foot it back to the ship and only made it with 10 minutes to spare. I'm old enough I thought I might have a heart attack. Second port day in Belize meant having to use tender boats to get to shore. With 75+ in our group we were in the first group of 25 to reach shore. Then we waited for 2+ hours for everyone else to make it ashore. Apparently, there was a glitch in the tender boats and the last of our group was on the last tender boat. Bountiful Travel made it sound like we would have our own tender boat to get everyone ashore. That did not happen. We took 2 buses on a 1+ hour ride to the Mayan ruins and our bus broke down. 30+ minutes later a back up bus arrived. Being 2.5 hours behind we were simply herded and rushed through the ruins and back to the port. We barely caught the last tender boat back to our ship. Third port day in Cozumel was great. The ship arrived early so most people were already off by the time we met as a group. The Mayan ruins on Cozumel are fairly minimal but it was the most informative tour. We took jeeps on the excursion and our stops included lunch by the shore and a beach stop afterwards. I booked this cruise with Bountiful Travel because it included seminars with David Hadlock and John Bytheway. They were wonderful but hardly got to say anything from an LDS perspective while at any of the Mayan ruins. If I had it to do over again, I would go on the Book of Mormon lands tour so I could attend the seminars on the full sailing days. They were outstanding. But I would not book the excursions with Bountiful Travel because we were very rushed and stressed on the first two excursions. Instead, I would book the nearly same excursions to the same ruins but through the cruise line. That way you are guaranteed not to be left for any reason, thus eliminating the stress. And you will still get the same information from the local tour guides, as apparently, Dave and John aren't allowed to say much of anything while at the ruins.

Fantastic experience: Eleven days ago we returned from a Bountiful Travel cruise of the Mediterranean which included stops at Rome, Greece, Turkey, Israel, and Cyprus. Bountiful Travel did an outstanding, five star, job of arranging activities at each port of call and overall coordination of the 16 day trip. Dave Hadlock, company owner and our guide, saw to all of our needs. Dave’s preparation for the trip, knowledge of the areas visited, and engaging manner greatly added to the enjoyment of our experience. He was also attentive to the needs of the group. For example, after going through Hezekiah’s tunnel, Dave arranged for a shuttle, at his own expense, to drive part of the group back to Western Wall avoiding a long up hill hike at the end of a strenuous day of sight seeing in Jerusalem. Dave also avoided the practice of other tour companies that take their tour groups to local vendors day after day so the guide will receive a kick-back from the dollars spent. This was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Bountiful Travel!

Fantastic experience: I had a LONG list of questions before I was ready to book our Israel trip. I couldn't decided what company to book with so I emailed Dave and he not only answered every question but he went out of his way to tell me about the details of his trips. Some of the most personalized customer service I've ever seen. I was super impressed and I'm really exited to be traveling with Bountiful Travel. I'll update this after we go on our trip:) UPDATE: our trip was absolutely wonderful! The itinerary was so well put together, the bus, hotels, and other accomodations were great as well as our tour guide! We got to see so much of Israel in the short 9 days we were there! I would highly recommend this tour if you want the biggest bang for your buck. That being said, it is a FAST paced tour. Part of the reason I feel like we got to see so much was because my husband and I are young adults so we could get around faster and had the energy for all the bonus sites that required extra walking (or fast hiking) when others on our trip preferred to rest or just enjoy the scenery that was already there. I know they also very much enjoyed the trip too though and they also still got to see almost everything. Also, if you are debating on whether to add Jordan to your Israel trip: the answer is yes, you should. Best snorkeling ever and the hotels are FABULOUS! Lastly I would like anyone reading this to note that this is still a 5 star review despite the fact we had no luggage (no carry-ons either) for 3 days. This was the airlines fault and nothing to do with the tour but I was very impressed that our guides and bus driver were able to help us locate and get our bags faster than I think we could have got them ourselves. And our guide made our group like a family and aware of our situation so other members of our tour quickly chipped in with clothes and things for us to borrow. Our hotels were also near shops so we were also able to get our basic needs.

Fantastic experience: We just returned from the Journeys of Paul cruise in the Mediterranean. We waited 3 years to be able to finally go on this trip. It was fantastic. It was worth the wait. People ask what I thought was the best part. I would have to say the best part was having Dave teach on-site from the scriptures about what happened at each site and its significance in the journeys of Paul. He also shared his insights from the scriptures on sea days. I would highly recommend Bountiful Travel for any of their trips. The sites were great but the best part for me was the teachings on-site and the context and insight gained from learning on-site.

Fantastic experience: So glad we decided to book this tour instead of going it on our own. We did and saw things we never would have if we had tried to go it alone. Plus the tour guide, Brother Millett, gave us insights about each site that made the things we were experiencing more meaningful. I will never forget the experience!

Fantastic experience: We would easily give more than 5 stars if we could! We had an absolutely FABULOUS experience with Bountiful Travel on John Hilton's Church History tour this last summer. We were expecting it to be amazing, yet it surpassed all our expectations. Bountiful Travel communicated by email all we needed to know ahead of time and Candice was very prompt and helpful in answering the several questions we had. John Hilton also reached out to us ahead of time and then already had all our names down when he met us in person! (We are a family of 8!... But he had the names down for every single person on our tour as well!) John was an outstanding tour guide. He made the effort to connect with every single person on the tour, old and young alike, and incorporated fun "extra" things like playing board games with the teens the first night. We appreciated his fun sense of humor, his knowledge of Church History and the sites, his engaging stories, and his testimony of the gospel. The logistics of the trip seemed to go off without a hitch -- hotels, buses, airlines, meals, schedules -- every last detail was attended to so we didn't have to worry and could sit back and enjoy. After wracking my brain for anything at all that could have been improved, the only thing I could come up with was that it would have been nice if they could have arranged to put our family's two hotel rooms side-by-side at each place we stayed. But this was a minor concern and does not affect our 5-star rating in the least. Overall we would highly recommend Bountiful Travel to anyone and we will definitely be looking to travel with them again soon!
