Negative experience: On May 28, 2025, This AAA location gave me awful customer service. I was there only to get my passport photos taken. From the start, the service was terrible. The woman working the front desk didn't help me at all. I was instead helped by a guy who seems to be a new hire. Although, the woman at the front desk was able to help a man that came in 5 mins after me, his passport photos was done in a span of 15 mins. the whole process for me was about 45 mins. So many things went wrong during this whole process, like them not processing my information before taking my photos. I had to wait for a senior employee to process my information and payment.(I saw the woman at the front desk do the same for other people, but not me... wonder why) The other employee offered a free gift for my patience... but she didn't give me one, it was probably a key chain or a cheap duffle bag. Overall, this was terrible service, and I would not recommend this location. It's a shame because AAA used to be a quality company.
Negative experience: AAA uses independent contractors that will cause damage to your car. Your claim process will then be indefinitely delayed and you will never get paid back for damages that were caused by AAA contracted workers. Member relations are unhelpful, unreliable, and unresponsive. You will lose money by having a AAA membership
Fantastic experience: Helpful. I needed an international driver's license for Thailand. The office at 290W/MoPac got me setup, including passport photos in less than 20 minutes. Informative. Friendly. They offered other services which I declined. But no hardcore sales. I write this now as I plan to go back for other membership.

Negative experience: Worst company ever. Had to deal with them twice over the last 5 years and each time was a nightmare. First time had a tire blow out on my RV on a major interstate in Texas. After 2 hours they still had not had anyone willing to come out and help. Only after I called around and found a place myself did I get help. The second time my RV died on the highway in Austin TX. They said they would have someone out to tow it right away. Over 24 hours later still no tow. After I called and complained they said I would need to pay $1000.! for towing it 8 miles? Are you kidding me? What a joke. I will never use AAA again. I am a premier member by the way which I guess means you get royally screwed.

Negative experience: Overcharged for auto insurance for months. I found more coverage for a lower price with another highly rated and reputable insurance company. When I canceled the auto policy, I was charged a termination fee? That is dishonest business practices and theft!

Fantastic experience: Great little location. I got my international driving Permit + photos easily within 20 min. Andrew was funny, attentive, a great salesman and helpful. I appreciate having this in the Austin area.
Negative experience: They took my money with no problem, didn't find it necessary to inform me that they would not cover towing for my Chevy c-30 truck. They covered it last year. Left me stranded 70 miles from home. Be careful with these people, ask lots of questions.
Fantastic experience: Needed maps in some states I was driving to. Andrew was friendly and helpful.
Negative experience: I had an extremely negative experience with Scott at this AAA branch. He was dishonest and unhelpful, falsely claiming that I could only cancel my insurance policy over the phone. He even insisted that I make the call right in front of him, rather than assisting me directly. After multiple attempts to get help, Scott finally agreed to cancel the policy himself, but his reluctance and poor attitude made it clear he had no intention of providing good service. This experience felt discriminatory and negligent, highlighting a serious issue with the service quality at the AAA branch in Austin. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: When my boyfriend Jackson’s car wouldn’t start, Triple A came out to help. Jesse arrived ready to tow our car to the local auto shop. Jesse was friendly, professional, highly efficient and extremely hard working. 10/10 would recommend a tow with Triple A and Jesse!
Negative experience: 3 WORDS if you have a claim against this company GET A LAWYER immediately after your accident. These people play games. They block your phone calls when you call. I needed a bigger truck from rental and when I got there I had to turn around and keep the lighter duty truck because Akshay the adjuster intentionally blocked me and Enterprise rental to keep me out of the more expensive truck. Will see who laughs last on this one
Fantastic experience: the woman on the phone was very nice and patient. it only took 30 minutes for the tow guy to come. only thing is i wish they asked if it was 4wd on the phone so they didnt have to send a normal tow and then a flatbed
Negative experience: If I could give negative reviews I would. Car quit running at a gas pump and after multiple attempts to jump start it we called triple aaa. They told us they would be there at 3:30 with a towing company.. mind you this was 2:40pm in 115 degree texas heat.. fine. Sent us the company who was coming which was 15 minutes away from the location, instead? Got there at 4:30pm with NO tow truck to tell us we would need one and they didn’t know how soon it could be. Also advised us we couldn’t back into a spot because of the layout of the parking lot. The worker for the company was very nice though please let that be known. HORRIBLE service on triple a’s end.. why would you not send a tow truck when we were told that’s what would be coming and we didn’t even know for sure if it was the battery especially considering we tried jumping it. To top it the gas station owners were upset because we were at their main pump and trust me I was apologetic as I kept telling them x amount of time and it progressively would turn later. Who the hell shows up with no tow truck and almost 2 hours later in 115 degree heat. Pointless to even have you are better off calling a towing company on your own and biting the bullet on the cost.
Negative experience: They were closed on July 1 new hours as of 2023 they will be closed Saturdays from now on

Negative experience: If you need International Driving Permit, I suggest you go to North Austin location. The clerk at this location is very slow and makes mistakes. I had to come back and wait additional 20 minutes for them to redo the document.

Fantastic experience: Service is as advertised. AAA towed me 196 miles on a break-down out of city. I was charged $0.00. To take care of everything required a single phone call. When I called a second time to inquire status, the car was already at the destination repair shop.

Fantastic experience: Visited reg. insurance query. The staff immediately checked me in and help to assist the details. They also sell discount coupons for AAA members for all popular destinations like Disneyworld and offer discount in car rental. Office is open until 5pm in weekdays, 2pm in weekends and need to arrive 30mins before closing time. #HappyTravel

Negative experience: Literally in disbelief terrible service when it comes to getting a tow ridiculous the hurdles I had to overcome no call back when they said the tow will happen by 8pm and never came also in order to get reimbursed for my tow and the people that helped me over phone didn't send the email like they said they would and just literally hours of my time wasted doing all this.

I am in the middle of an auto accident trial trying to get information sorted and she will not answer any of my calls or emails. I’ve been trying to contact YOU for two weeks everyday and you will not answer me.. so here I am in your reviews. You’re terrible & I hope this is a reminder to get back to your client. 4 thumbs down

Negative experience: Fortunately enough, I'm not a TRIPLE AAA policy holder. However, the person that hit my car is. The whole experience to have my car fixed has been nothing but horrendous! The response time is inexistent. I don't think they have SLAs at all. Service King complained about them, Enterprise complained about them... I tried to escalate or talk to someone but it's IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A HOLD OF ANY PERSON AT TRIPLE AAA! Their phones always go to voice mail and they never return the call! If it wasn't for Jeff Ervin, I think I'd try to hunt the CEO on LinkedIn. Jeff is the only person that actually answers my calls, calls me back, and get things done!

Negative experience: Avoid going to this AAA office! I had a terrible experience working with Bonnie on auto and renters insurance. She gave us a quote while we were in the office getting international driver's licenses. I was hesitant to switch coverage from our current provider, but Bonnie kept calling me to check in about the quote we received. After some time, she had a quote for us that was lower than our current rate with supposedly better coverage. One the phone, she insisted that I need to lock in this quote now and give her my credit card number. I warily did so without receiving any written information of my coverage. Two days later after charging my card, she emailed me the paper work to sign. I then looked through the paper work and realized that our auto insurance coverage in every category was significantly lower than we currently had, i.e., bodily injury, property damage liability, uninsured motorist bodily injury, personal injury protection. I am now waiting for a refund from them with the plan to keep our current coverage. I was told that they need to send me a check for a refund. I feel like I was taken advantage of by Bonnie. I do not know if this is their regular sales tactics to get new customers, but it is no way to do business. I highly recommend that you avoid going to this office!
Fantastic experience: Got my passport photo taken here. With the membership, it's inexpensive compared to other retail stores for the same service. Staff was very friendly. Whole process took less than ten minutes.

Fantastic experience: Stopped by today to make some changes to my policy. Worked with the manager, Jim, and insurance service agent, Ayn. Both very helpful and knowledgeable. They even pointed out an additional discount I could qualify for and saved me some money.

Negative experience: Was a 4 year customer until today. Beware they will renew your policy but they will not renew your membership and will lie to you saying you have already have it. Terrible customer service, high turn over and no one is willing to take the extra effort to hold on to you as a customer.

Positive experience: Friendly office staff, very responsive. Never returned my phone messages on voice mails. Lines offer busy, busy on calling office. Otherwise ok. Not inclined to defend you in accidents, quick to pay off claim and increase your insurance costs, especially for seniors. Be careful about reporting small insurance claims.

Negative experience: After joing AAA I decided to get my auto insurance with them. It has been one frustrating experience after the next. The customer service from this location is awful. They were eager to sell, but when I asked for a change to my policy I could not get a response. I had to eventually go through their California office. Later, I decided to go ahead and use them for an additional car because the current policy had a few months left and it was a nightmare. I had to jump through hoops, including driving 2 hours so they could take pictures of the car, and still had to call the office in California to get what I needed. I will be looking for a new insurance company when it's time to renew. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I have delt with several people from this office and all of them are unable to complete a job or give decent customer service.
Negative experience: I also had AAA for years while living in California and never had a problem. I had also continued my roadside coverage membership when I moved to Texas. To me this service here is demonstrative of deceptive trade practices. I live in Hays county they never told me being in Travis county that all offered services would not be available to me. They were not able to register my vehicle. I also had need of a notary on the weekend and not available; all of these were promised services of AAA roadside club membership. I canceled my family's yearly membership a few months back and despite a promise of a prorated refund they still have not done this, and always offer some excuse why this has not been done when I contact them.
Positive experience: Helpful staff, good travel resources. I got my international drivers license and it just took a couple of minutes to complete the process. Note that you must bring the proper size photo to your AAA location and they then issue the D.L. Also note the D.L. didn't really seem necessary in Italy even though we rented a car.

Negative experience: I just called to make an appointment to discuss my policy renewal and was told that only new customers can make appointments. I would have to come in a be seen on a first come first serve basis. That's after waiting weeks for a response to an email. They got one star only because I couldn't post this without giving them at least one star.
Fantastic experience: We are booking a lengthy summer trip - airlines, cruise ship, hotels, transfers, excursions: the works. Erica has been great in setting it all up. Several emails and in office visits - very personable, professional, helpful. 24 years with AAA and always a good experience. Thumbs up!

Fantastic experience: I am not the easiest customer to deal with, but my agent is very friendly and there was absolutely zero wait time. Within 9 minutes my issue was resolved. Joe was very helpful even with something like getting a cheaper rate, which you can do by taking a driver's education course or paying your balance at one payment. The $5 surcharge each month is a bummer, but having AAA is a cool thing.
