Fantastic experience: We have a great time in joining the 3 days tour to Pebble Beach, San Francisco, and Yosemite! Thanks to Kiwi, our tour guide on this trip. He is very nice, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The tour, scenery, accommodations of this trip is great!

Negative experience: The tour had mainly Chinese speaking tour guide which not the most issue but major issue is the itenarry is not clear and lot of things mentioned on the Golden Tours website is wrong as those things not covered in actual tour at all.

Negative experience: Golden bus tours is a resale tour company with Chinese speaking tour guides for Chinese speaking tourists. Their website does not indicate that the tours are in Chinese so if you take one of their tours, like I did, an English speaking guy from Texas, than you will be extremely pissed off because 90% of the tour is in Chinese. They will explain everything in Chinese, then once in a while put out basic information in English, or not, if they have English speaking tourists that got stuck on a Chinese speaking tour. I submitted a complaint to Golden bus tours and their response was it states in small print “tour guide: Chinese, English” so I there will be no refund. To be clear, the Golden bus tours website is in English with nothing suggesting it is a Chinese speaking tour company. None of the tour titles include the words “Chinese speaking tour” either. Unless you speak fluent Chinese, do not take a tour with this company. They do not care if you got stuck in one of their Chinese speaking tours, nor will they give you a refund for the horrible experience.

Fantastic experience: The tour was amazing and very well organised. The tour guide Johny Sha , was very careful and helpful in making sure that we cover all itinerary in time. Grand Canyons , antelope canyons , Las Vegas, canyons helicopter ride and Las Vegas flyover were all lifetime experiences.

Fantastic experience: Really good one day trip. Went to Luray first, lots of woos & wows! The places is much bigger than I expected. Then to Shenandoah NP, nice weather, great day for an outdoor adventure. The best part is the tourist guy, Gary, stopped more than 5 scenic outlooks and helped whole group take lots of good photos.

Fantastic experience: We undertook 7 Day trip from LA to Horse shoe bend, Antelope canyon, Yellowstone National Park, Bryce canion , Las Vegas etc Tour code was GOL-LA-490. Our leader was Allen King . A true & excellent leader. Knowledgeable, caring well behaved, young and enthusiastic. We thoroughly enjoyed this marvelously conducted trip.

Fantastic experience: Ellen was an amazing tour guide with extensive knowledge about history. She was also very caring and entertaining at the same time. Duma the bus driver was an experienced and safe driver. I really enjoyed the tour and will look forward to use the GoldenBusTours.

Fantastic experience: We took this tour from LA on Monday 5th June. Our english speaking guide was Roberto (from Italy) + his colleagues, Brenda, chinese/french guide and Japanese guide. Roberto explained everything very well. Pick up was at Farmers market West-Hollywood. We had a big comfortable bus which took us to Oakland via Santa Barbara/Monterey the first day. The second day we visited San Fransisco, city hall, Golden Gate bridge, Fishermans wharf, boat ride to Sausalito, bus to Twin peaks, China town and them bus to our hotel in Modesto. Third day we we visited Yosemite park, the park was beautiful and was full of water. We visited El Capitain and the Yosemite falls, and the view point of the Yosemite valley. Unfortunately the last stop the valley was fill of clouds so we could not really see anything. After that the bus took us to our hotel in Stevenson ranch. The 4th day we went to Las Vegas. Half way we went to the Barstow Outlet malls stop for lunch and some shopping time. We also stopped briefly at the Big Thermometer stop. In Las Vegas our hotel was on the strip. In the evening Robert took us on a tour through the 3 biggest hotels/casinos of LV. The Bellagio, Ceasars Palace and the Venetian. After that we had some free time for dinner. On the 5th day in the morning we went to the Hoover dam after that back to LV to pick up our luggage and back to LA. Roberto was an excellent guide who gave us plenty of background information about all the place we visited. We highly recommend him as a guide!

Fantastic experience: Itinerary was well planned and well explained. We almost cover a major part of the US Westcoast within four days. It was a bit rushed for sure as we have to cover a lot of cities in a short time period, but i had a blast of fun traveling with them. Shano (tour guide) was so courteous and informative though. Secondly the driver was giving us a proper period to go and to amuse with attraction. It was a friendly experience. May you get more successful team Goldenbustours!! Would recommend others too.

Fantastic experience: Just like some other people I also thought that Chicago is a place that doesn't offer many places to explore as compared to other big cities such as New York until I booked a tour with Golden Bus Tours. My Cousin came to visit us from Europe for a very short time and insisted on showing us all the possible destinations of the USA. I was pondering how to make a more fun and best trip in such a short time then got great deals with huge itinerary at less prices from experts.

Negative experience: Following is a list of issues we experienced with this tour: I emailed the office new contact details when we arrived in USA but they failed to update them on their system and we did not receive the notice of change of pick up time at union station. The hotel bookings at Sonesta were incorrect which confused the staff and delayed the check in process. We were given misinformation during the day that there would be no food options at Sonesta except for fast food outlets or buying bread at Solvang to have for dinner and breakfast. The restaurant was open at Sonesta and so our pre purchases of food were unnecessary. There was limited tour of San Francisco due to the road closures for Bay to Breakers run. This is an annual event on the same weekend each year which the tour company office should have been aware of and made alternative arrangements for the morning tour. They failed to plan effectively. Misinformation on the location of toilets at Berkeley was given and there was no lunch stop provided on Sunday. We did drive past/through Silicon Valley but were only told of what was in there. This was a misrepresentation of what we were going to see. The second night stop was not at the base of the mountains and it was not the normal stop for tourist buses. It was 40 miles from the mountains and there were only fast food options for dinner. It was very noisy due to the trains passing close by, dogs barking, car alarms going off and loud music playing. Most tourist buses were at Oakhurst or Mariposa which were towns with more suitable conditions for tourists and more decent food options. There was no commentary available while driving. A pre recorded narration of where we were and what the area was known for would have been helpful. The only commentary we received was when we stopped. Basically this wasn't a tour but a bus ride with stops. The overcharging on the boat cruise was horrendous. An adult fare is $38 and a child fare is $27. The company charges $46 per person regardless of age. This has to be paid in cash up front. This is  profiteering on tourists who don't realise the actual charges until the event and after the payment was made to the tour driver. Not only were we overcharged but the tour driver didn't buy the appropriate 5 adult tickets. He purchased a family pass for 2 adults and. 3 children. He then pocketed the difference of $37. This is not only deceptive but fraudulent. The admission fees of $70 per person cash up front were also exorbitant. The only admission fees paid by the company we're for Yosemite $125 (we took a photo of the invoice) and the Golden Gate Bridge fee $42. This works out at a total of $167 or $33.40 per person. We were overcharged by $36.60 per person. We have since done a tour from Las Vegas with a different company which was so well organised and informative (unlike Golden Bus Tours) and their tip fee was only $10 per person. The tip for our your was $12 per person per day and there were no refunds offered for incomplete tours due to their poor planning. Don't be deceived by their "discounts" offered on their tour price as they make significant cash profits from the mandatory fees they charge.

There was a diabetic lady who needed to go to the washroom shortly in a while. The driver was really giving her proper time instead of being rude. I took a trip with another agency their guide was really behaving ill towards the guests. Golden bus tours appears better in their services.

Negative experience: We were sold a bus tour and my elderly uncle and aunt were crammed into a 18 seater van for their Niagara trip. At no time were we told this would not be the case. The travelers were not given details of the places they were going to .All in all less than average service

Negative experience: Would have rated 4. But would rate 1 because of the treatment that we got at the "Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo" hotel.Lady at the complimentary buffet was rude and did not offer us breakfast. Although we got to know that the breakfast was over and they were preparing but it was for the " regular customer". Really rude of her . She went one step ahead and said that it was the people from bus tour because of whom breakfast got over. Would recommend golden bus tour not to keep their customer in the Holiday Inn Express . They were treating us as if we were staying for free.Please refrain from keeping your customer in that hotel

Fantastic experience: I took 5 days tour from New York to all East Coast with Goldenbustours and I want to share my review here. First of all they are very organized company, have a professional customer service team who handle all of my requirements. Second the tour itself was amazing and tour guide was helpful and knowleageable. Tour guide took care of all of us and explain everything in perfect way. Really hope to cover West Coast with you guys as well.

Negative experience: It is the worst company I've ever come across. They would charge your card and later cancel your booking. They have a number but no one answers the phone call. Email support is available only. I am never going to use this company ever again. They spoilt my family's plans!!!

Negative experience: Booked a tour for my friends coming from Europe and later it was cancelled. Everything we planned fell apart because of this unprofessional behaviour. Should have mentioned at the time of booking. And one important thing, their customer support is from Pakistan because I can tell from accent. I am from Pakistan as well and it was easy for me to tell.

Negative experience: Recommended to a friend and he had a pretty bad experience. Rooms were not clean, bedsheets had stain and there were bed bugs as well. Their customer support is not responsive. And in fact, they do not have any office in Houston as they mention it on their websites. Avoid booking tours through them as it is a shady company with no physical presence in United States.

Negative experience: I never write reviews but I felt like I need to share my experience. This company exploits foreign tourists by charging them extra money for the attractions yet they are all free. So if you are a foreigner, please just find an alternative company to book a tour with. The group I was with for a Niagara and Washington DC tour noticed the attractions were free and those who hadn't paid also got to see the attractions without paying the tour package and one woman with kids decided to speak up . And we all supported her. The tour guide proceeded to call the police on her and also threatened to leave her and her kids halfway stranded in the middle of the trip. Dont book with this company because they are highly unprofessional plus they take advantage of foreigners. Plus the fact that they would think of leaving a woman and her kids halfway in a foreign land by themselves and calling the police on them because they have refused to pay for free attractions shows what kind of company they are.

Negative experience: I took a tour in August and one of the tour guides, who accompanied me to the Universal Studios on day 6 of my itinerary, behaved in a disrespectful and disruptive manner. No resolution was provided by the company.

Negative experience: My 3 days Yosemite tour was a disaster. I will not recommend anyone to book any tour through them. Rude tour guide, old buses and mostly Chinese travelers are on the bus.

Negative experience: I booked the tour but I was put on Jupiter Legend bus; Chinese operator. GoldenBus does not have active customer support. I called multiple times but no one answered the phone. Tour was mismanaged, highly unprofessional people and extremely rude tour guide. P.S. Look at their generic reply to my review. They are not even serious about or give importance to customer feedback and complaint.
