We’ve been to Africa, Italy, Alaska, St. Lucia and did a California road trip. ALL were very well planned from start to finish and each trip was a WOW, beyond exceptional!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about the high quality service we received from Pique Travel. An African Safari was on our bucket list, and our travel consultant, Kris, curated the trip of a lifetime for us. We didn’t want to take a group tour, which made Pique perfect for us (if a group tour is what you want they do that, too). Kris met with us several times to understand what we wanted to experience, and then provided us with an itinerary that met our desires and our budget. The actual trip surpassed anything we could have imagined. Someone met us at every stop on the way and helped with our luggage, provided refreshments before we started our game drives, and got us to our lodging safely but with fun adventures on the way. We spent two weeks in wonderful Tanzania and stayed at three beautiful lodges while on safari. Our first stop included visits to the Tanangire National Park, Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater while staying at the The Manor at Ngorongoro. Our guide Thadie was wonderful and we were so excited to see zebra, elephants and giraffes in their own habitats; by the time we left The Manor, Thadie helped us see all but one of the Big Five, including a leopard that literally posed for us while entering the crater. This trip was a celebration for our anniversary and Kris arranged for a special dinner on our last night at the lodge. We were served an exquisite dinner and afterwards the team came in with dessert and honored us with a lovely song and dance. It was very, very special. From there we spent three nights in the central Serengeti at the Serengeti Pioneer Camp. The camp was beautiful and the game drives were second to none. What made it so special, though, was the team who work so hard to make your stay comfortable and fun. Our guide Kisali took us on several game drives and was so knowledgeable. Each day was an adventure and each night a cozy rest. The food was delicious, the accommodations were beyond what we expected, and the wonderful touch of a hot water bottle warming our bed each night was delightful. Taasa Lodge was a special experience in itself. Located in the northern Serengeti on its own reserve, Taasa provided us with a completely different experience. It’s a very lovely lodge and location and about 70% of its employees are Maasai. In addition to game drives, we visited the village of one of our guides and were honored to meet his family and community. Taasa prides itself on giving back the community and this is reflected in the sense of family described by the people who work there. We ended our trip with three nights in Zanzibar. This was a lovely place to wind down after 9 days on safari. A visit to Stone Town is a must; I’m glad we visited on our second day in Zanzibar because it’s a much faster pace with a busy population, which made it a bit of a shock after the serenity of the Serengeti. Tanzania is a beautiful country, but what makes it SO special is its people. I miss the daily greeting of the Jambo Song, but downloaded it to my phone so I can play it and reminisce. We highly recommend it along with the suggestion to take it slow and drink it in. There is so much to be experienced here. Pique Travel, and Kris in particular, curated the most magnificent trip we have ever experienced. We love to travel and have visited many places and countries, but this trip will stay with us forever. Our gratitude is so deep. We are already talking with Kris about where we will go next - I think South Africa, Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park may be next. Regardless of where we go, we will follow the departure greeting of Kisali and say to Africa - until next time. Thank you, Kris, thank you, Pique Travel and a very big thank you to all the wonderful people who provided us with such a memorable trip. Fantastic experience: Pique Travel planned two amazing trips to Italy and Africa. Liz planned our family trip to Italy and did a phenomenal job giving us tremendous hotel and unique tour options for each day of our trip. She made everything easy by providing a few options for excursions for each day along with descriptions to allow our family to choose and easily customize our trip to meet our needs. The hotel choices were fantastic and the day tours were exceptional. She helped us to best determine the number of days to spend in each area we visited (Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, Bologna and Venice) to see and do what we wanted in each area. We had the family trip of a lifetime with everything completely organized so that we could just focus on our trip and family time spent together. Exceptional service! Kris planned a trip to Africa for my mother and a companion who are seniors – both with mobility issues. My mother had dreamed of a trip like this but didn’t think it possible due to arthritis and neuropathy which makes it difficult for her to walk at times. Fear not – Kris had everything completely planned for them to accommodate for the mobility issues to allow both of them to truly experience everything just as an able-bodied person could. They were completely thrilled with the entire trip and experience. Kris’ experience and knowledge of Africa exceeded all of their expectations on a trip. I highly recommend Pique Travel for their expertise, communication skills and their ability to help you design a trip customized to your needs!

Fantastic experience: Erin Green and Sonya Travanty of Pique Travel were absolutely wonderful to work with and I would recommend them and Pique travel to anyone. We were a multigenerational group of 11 people travelling to Tryall Club in Montego Bay Jamaica. We all had different requests (cribs and babysitters) or need (wheelchair accessibility) that they seamlessly incorporated into our travel itinerary. They were responsive and thoughtful, often making recommendations we hadn't considered and warning us of things to avoid. This was the first vacation in many years (ever?) that I fully relaxed since I knew Sonya and Erin had handled everything ahead of time.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had an amazing experience working with Pique Travel Design's Kris Nosworthy who set us up on a most magical South African 10th Anniversary trip. It was a 10-day trip encompassing a beautiful safari experience, an urban Cape Town experience and ending in an amazing time in wine country. Every detail, including airport meetups, immigration, itinerary guides, and much more was painstakingly looked after by the agency so we could just focus on having the trip of our lives. Fantastic experience: Pique made our trip to Paris a memory of a lifetime! The girls loved our shopping experience, our Louvre tour, the Versailles trip and many fabulous meals. Maybe our ease and smooth transition through the airport to our apartment may have been the best experience. Negative experience: My husband and I were recommended this business for our honeymoon by multiple people. But because our trip isn't a high end, 5 star trip with a big budget, they told us to go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Erin Green planned an amazing trip for my wife and I during Autumn 2021 to Vancouver and British Columbia. Having had the opportunity take several trips planned by Pique over the past several years, Erin planned the perfect trip starting with several days in Vancouver followed by a journey on the Rocky Mountaineer train that took us to Kamloops, Banff and Lake Louise. As always, the hotels, restaurant recommendations, tours, transfers and every aspect of the trip were perfect! Erin and the other travel planners at Pique provide such peace of mind in knowing where to go, eliminating all of the guess-work of trying to figure it out on our own. The two trips we have taken so far (Tanzania Safari and Amalfi Coast) were both amazing. I mean truly flawless. We could not have asked for anything better. Fantastic experience: My wife and I recently (June 2022) completed a twice-postponed trip to Ireland with our 14 y.o. granddaughter. We used the services of Kris @ Pique Travel and were very pleased his his expertise, responsiveness and follow-through in developing our trip, especially in handling many of the travel and accommodation details. The services of our driver/guide, 'Rory', who was charged with driving us throughout the country, were outstanding-knowledgeable, friendly without being intrusive,, helpful, and. a superb driver on the many narrow, twisting roads of rural Ireland. We felt very safe in our comfortable Mercedes van. The single biggest compliment I can pay to Kris and Pique Travel, however, has to do with their enormous help in re-scheduling us on another Are Lingus flight out of Chicago to Dublin, after our original flight was cancelled due to mechanical difficulties with the aircraft. This unfortunate development had left us high and dry in the midst of complete chaos at O'Hare airport well into the evening, and although our predicament cost us a full day of our tour, Kris was able to 'save the day' in a sense and get us booked on an Aer Lingus flight the next night, complete with upgraded seating that was greatly appreciated. Truly above and beyond service and the reason why there is no doubt we will again use the services of Kris and Pique Travel in putting together any future trips we may be lucky enough to take. He did a great job for us and we were very grateful to him.

Fantastic experience: We just came home from a fabulous two week adventure in Italy and Greece. We decided to work with a travel advisor because this was a milestone trip for us and the quantity of hotels and excursions to research was overwhelming. We were extremely happy with Pique - they were attentive to our interests and budget and very responsive. We loved how prepared they sent us abroad - with helpful and organized booklets, plus phone numbers and tickets for each activity. We had to schedule the trip multiple times due to Covid and I can’t imagine how I would have managed this myself. Incredible experience and will use them again.

Fantastic experience: What a great trip we had in Ireland last fall - a trip of a lifetime! Thanks to Kris N. from Pique Travel for making it possible. All of it was so fabulous — he found for us absolutely first-class guides and accommodations and food. We loved every minute. Kris was great to work with, and everything he arranged for us was top notch, including: -walking tours of Dublin, with a stop at Trinity College to see the Book of Kells. (And we capped the day with a stop at Guinness) -the view at The Sherbourne, the falconry and archery at Ashford Castle, our own "cottage" at Sheen Falls, and the smoked salmon tasting at the K Club (well, the whiskey tasting there was just as excellent) -fabulous restaurants that accommodated our gluten-free needs. (Seriously, the food was amazing everywhere over there.) -our driver Aiden was so very knowledgeable and kind and shared many great stories -Best part of all these amazing stops - finding my husband's grandfather’s ancestral home in County Kerry. This was the second trip we'd booked through Pique Travel. Had gone to Iceland in 2018 and it was just as amazing. Highly highly recommend Kris!

Fantastic experience: Linda and Erin from Pique Travel did a GREAT job of putting together a multi-generational trip to Belize this February that included 18 travelers of various ages who were literally scattered across the USA. The logistics of coordinating the movement of that many travelers into Belize and then the domestic travel within Belize was mind boggling but it was handled with aplomb. They brought a wealth of knowledge to their recommendations which resulted in truly memorable vacation that more than satisfied the varied needs of 18 diverse individuals. Fantastic experience: Linda Bendt and Pique Travel has planned a bunch of our past family trips including a trip to Europe and a trip to Costa Rica but the greatest trip of all was definitely the last trip they planned for my husband and I, our honey moon to Italy and Greece. The process of planning was so easy and straight forward, it was truly a collaborative planning process and we felt that we were able to share our opinions about tours/excursions that we might not like and Linda and her team would take our feedback and offer us something different that better fit our needs. The actual trip was the trip of a lifetime! Pique travel found us the cutest boutique hotels in the perfect locations and the most romantic excursions including a wine tasting/cooking class in Tuscany and a Sunset Catamaran in Santorini. We felt very safe in each location with all of our drivers and tour guides! And we loved how many great restaurant recommendations and useful tips were in our itinerary books! Fantastic experience: I booked a trip to New Zealand with a girlfriend for January of 2020 with Kris Nosworthy. I started out planning on going alone, and my friend joined the trip pretty far into the planning. She had some different ideas of what she wanted for the vacation. Kris was very accommodating and always very patient with us while we tried to make changes to our plans. The trip was just wonderful! I don't do a ton of research, but gave Kris some things I was interested in doing and how, generally, I liked to travel. He came up with an itinerary that was great. We did make some tweaks along the way. He also gave me options of things to do and explained the pros and cons of each option. At one point, about a month before the trip, there had been some roads washed out because of rain, so we had to reconfigure our routes to avoid those areas. I was worried that it wouldn't be as good of a trip, but I was not one bit disappointed. I knew I couldn't see everything in New Zealand in three weeks, but I think what we did see was fantastic! There were a few times that we had questions (once thinking our bus left without us), but by calling or texting Kris, things were answered immediately. Thanks, Kris and Pique Travel, for a wonderful experience!!

Fantastic experience: Ann Coleman planned our 1st Europe trip to London, Paris, and Rome. It amazed me how quickly she came up with the perfect itinerary for our 2 week adventure. The travel book they give you is priceless! It has every little detail you can imagine- confirmation #s, places to meet for tours, how long a taxi was to get where you needed, what to tip, etc. When we had a tour that wasn't so great she dealt with it. Liz met every one of our expectations while helping us throughout the planning and the trip itself. Having never been to London, she assisted us in sorting through numerous hotels in Central London, before helping us select a relaxed and friendly (as opposed to stuffy) five star accommodation that was wonderfully located. Liz also lined up three outstanding local guides to help us with tours of Central London, Windsor and Oxford. We appreciated that while we were in London, Liz was available to promptly answer any questions such as checking a train schedule or what to leave as an appropriate gratuity for housekeeping. Fantastic experience: This is our 3rd trip organized by Pique Travel and once again we have nothing but awesome memories of another wonderful adventure. We took our 3 kids, ages 22, 18, 15 to Hawaii this spring. Erin Green of Pique Travel did an awesome job of creating an itinerary that "piqued" the interests of each kid. The timing and amount of activities balanced and allowed for both adventure and relaxation. Our travel and accommodations from one island to the next was seamless and stress free. We stayed at the Moana Surfrider in Waikiki Beach which was perfect for our older kids with many beach and night-time activities. Our visit to Pearl Harbor was memorable and a great way to make history real for the kids. From there we went to Big Island and stayed at the Waikoloa Beach Resort which was a nice quiet change from Waikiki. Highly recommend taking the Mauna Kea Stars & Summit tour. You will be in awe and feel like you went to Mars! Another highlight was the nighttime snorkeling with the Manta Rays. This is an experience you will never forget! Pique Travel went above and beyond with the itinerary. I can't recommend them enough. We have another Italy trip planned through Pique for November and are so excited to add to our adventures! I highly recommend Pique Travel for stress free trip planning with an outstanding itinerary that will leave you with life-time memories.

Fantastic experience: If you want a really special trip call Pique. We've done 2 trips with them and they were both special. The most recent to Portugal was perfect given we took my parents and having individual guides took all the worry out. Each hotel we stayed at was more special than the next and they all included incredible breakfast buffets. She secured all of our transportation, including planes, trains and a rental car with gps. In 2016, Jim crafted for us a 22 day family adventure spanning 5 locations in the islands, beaches, and jungles of Belize. And just this summer, Erin Green sent my wife and I on a flawless, perfect trip to beautiful St. Lucia for our 15 yr anniversary! I'd highly recommend Pique to anyone. Erin and Jim were terrific to work with. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and provide insights and wisdom only gained from experience. I personally get overwhelmed with all the options found when booking my own travel; worrying about finding the best deals, while making sure we're in good locations and seeing/experiencing the best sites and local culture. I waste too much time and take on too much stress doing it myself. I vastly prefer leaving the logistics and planning to the experts at Pique! And I'll share another HUGE benefit to using Pique. When we were in-country in Belize in 2016, Hurricane Earl struck. My family's safety was a primary concern, and secondarily the impact to our planned excursions, lodging and transfers. But Jim was on top of it. I didn't have to call or email to ask for help. He proactively reached out to me to check-in. Jim was keeping an eye on the storm and knew our location. He was making contingency plans for us. While other guests at our resort were frantically scrambling to change plans, I was pool-side relaxing with my kids and reading email updates from Jim! :) Despite the hurricane, our vacation continued and hardly missed a beat. It was so comforting to know someone was watching out for us and ready to assist with re-booking flights or changing hotels last minute. Fantastic experience: We decided to get help in arranging our trip to Ireland rather than spend countless hours ourselves researching where we wanted to go, how to get there & where to stay. We got all the help we needed & then some from Kris at Pique Travel Design. He listened to what we wanted out of our trip, came up with a plan & with just a few alterations, had our travel plans all arranged for us. Fantastic experience: Kris Nosworthy designed a three week trip for us to Australia and New Zealand. This was our first time using a travel planner so were unsure how well we would like the experience. Our concerns were unfounded as the trip was absolutely fabulous! Both the planning process and the execution were great. Everything on the trip went smoothly and flawlessly. We had a large variety of unique and interesting lodging, well selected tours and activities, as well as excellent transportation planning. He pre-arranged our international flights as well as inter-country flights in Australia and New Zealand, three car rentals, overnight boat trip, and the trans-alpine train across the southern island of New Zealand. One of the aspects of the plan that made our trip very pleasant was that all timing for transfers between flights, rentals, and activities was laid out for us in the plan book. We didn’t have to spend time worrying about how much time to allow for each of those transfers. Although three weeks is not enough time to cover both countries, Kris did an awesome job selecting where and what we saw. For anyone who has not traveled there, the south island of New Zealand especially, has postcard-worthy scenery everywhere you looked. Fantastic experience: My experience with Pique Travel has been first class. The thoroughness before we departed and during our trip was amazing. We traveled to Africa, with a spiral bound booklet prepared by Pique, as the guide for our two-week adventure. It explained each day with the specifics on what we were going to do, time for pick up, what to wear and even tipping suggestions.The choice for hotels, camps and apartments was spot on for our group. The camps were clean, spacious, the food was great, the staff was knowledgeable and ready to do whatever was needed to provide a unique experience. This was my first trip that was planned out with all the details taken care of so I could relax and enjoy every moment!!!

Fantastic experience: Kris planned a terrific trip to Kenya for my 12-year-old and me. It was a daunting trip, yet he put us very much at ease. Kris lined up an incredible guide, nice destination choices and great accommodations. It even landed under my budget--at least until I added a night at Giraffe Manor (which is well worth it).

Fantastic experience: We contacted Pique to help us arrange our first trip back to Guatemala since we adopted our son from there, 9 years ago. We were hoping for a trip that would teach us more about our son’s birth country and its culture. The trip Pique planned for us went above any of our expectations. We explored 3 sets of Mayan ruins, had a Mayan Spiritual Guide perform an ancient ceremony for just our family, hiked a volcano, visited an island village where a women’s cooperative taught us how they dye cotton and weave it into amazing garments, and visited a peanut farm where they taught us how to make peanut butter, which we then ate on a tortilla with bananas and honey. The guides that Pique arranged for us treated us like family and were deeply knowledgeable on everything from ancient Mayan culture and history, to current economics and politics. Pique meticulously planned and executed our Guatemalan trip, which turned out to be a trip of a life time. We cannot thank them enough.
