Negative experience: Good riddance.
Negative experience: I'd leave zero stars if I could. This is the worst insurance group I have ever dealt with. I canceled insurance with them in March '24 and made it clear I never wa Ted to do business with them again. they still took out the full coverage payment on my truck out of my account and it took me almost a month to get that money back. They kept sending a check to the wrong address and had to cancel it and resend it. Now they have taken their yearly fee out of my account 10 months later on the 1st of Jan and bounced my rent payment. Don't do business with these crooks!
Negative experience: Avoid using AAA for insurance at all cost. If they were the last insurance company on the planet, I would choose to just take my chances and have no insurance coverage at all. My mom has had AAA for 36 years and has never made a claim the entire time. She finally had to open a claim for hail damage to her roof and some water damage that was caused by a clog in her HVAC drain. They covered the roof but only paid for about 50% of it and they refused to pay for the water damage claiming it was wear and tear. The inspector that came to look at it said it would be covered no problem but the lady in charge of our claim said he should not have said that. You have someone from behind a computer screen making decisions verses the actual person in the field who saw the damage. They can't even get their stories straight. We've had similar water damage to our primary residence and a rental property and our insurers covered the damage (not naming providers here). We had to fix all of my mom's water damage out of pocket. To make matters worse, we just received a letter from AAA stating that they are dropping her coverage due to interior and exterior conditions that increase the hazards against the policy due to mold accumulation in the crawlspace and drywall and mentioned our 2 claims for water damage and hail damage. The water damage was fixed out of pocket so that should not even have been mentioned but then they have the audacity to even mention that claim when they paid $0. She was with them for 36 years and had car and house insurance and AAA auto. Talk about a lack of customer service for your most loyal members. I'm not mad about having to switch her at all. AAA insurance is worthless imo. I'm just upset at how poorly she was treated. If you love your moms, don't ever ever let them sign up with AAA.
Fantastic experience: It wasn't at Springfield Office specifically, and the phone agent probably wasn't in this area either. But the guy arrived in less than half the time that was quoted (read: super quick), and he did the swap super quick! My dad didn't get his name or who he worked for specifically.
Fantastic experience: Kara helped me get an international drivers permit, and she was fantastic. Timely, friendly, effective - customer service that was 10/10. Thanks, Kara and Team AAA!

Negative experience: Their Roadside Assistance service has tanked over the last several years. The tow company drivers will tell you that AAA lies about having dispatched and secured a company. I have had drivers show me that AAA just recently dispatched them despatchers, claiming that they dispatched their local contact companies hours previously. The other day, the first dispatcher I spoke to said that my call was sent out priority because my car was in a dangerous area and was still on the road. Additionally, the first dispatcher I spoke to read the address back to me that I gave her and still entered it incorrectly into the computer. I'm not even sure how that is possible. Then she called me back asking where the car was supposed to be taken after I had already given her a destination, which she once again read to me during the first call. I called the tow company because I am so used to AAA lying. The tow company came anyway. They informed me that AAA did not notify them until about 30-40 minutes after I had called the tow company. The second dispatcher I spoke to, Penny, was good. She was the only positive aspect of my dealings with AAA. This company used to be great. But now, it is just a case study of how service can go from AAA to FFF. I will not be renewing my membership with them.
Positive experience: I was broke down on the side of the hwy with my two dogs with no stores around or anything. It was 93° & my dogs were so hot. I called AAA roadside assistance. After being on the phone with them for 15 mins, they finally said they were dispatching someone to give me a tow and they would be there in approx an hour. 45 mins after that call, they called me to let me know their current tow service was unable to come get me, they were calling a back up service. My dogs and I waited outside my truck in the shade, trying to keep from overheating ourselves. 15 mins after they called to let me know they didn't have anyone coming yet, they called back and was able to get the back up service to come give me a tow and that they would be there in about an hour. So I was on the side of the road for over two hours in the heat with my dogs. They also told me they were putting me down as a priority when I called the first time because of the heat. I was not impressed, neither were my dogs. Someone finally came to give me a tow. At that point, it was just getting dark outside. I think I will find another roadside service.
Negative experience: Speaking with Elena, who speaks russian, she told me about discounts and other advantages , but I had nothing. I was calling their supervisor, and he said that Elena will call me regarding the issue, but she never called, and doesn't pick up her phone. The insurance is expensive, and service is awful. It looks like a kind of scam
Negative experience: I have been a AAA member for 27 years. They closed the Joplin office and this office refuses to answer their phone. I leave voicemails and still...nothing! It's to the point I will have to put a stop pay on my insurance policy and find another company.
Negative experience: Terrible service. Extremely unprofessional. I’d give zero stars if possible. I recommend you save your money and avoid the hassle and go with another insurance company
Negative experience: Called and got my car towed to a shop and then when I needed it towed back they “ can’t do it “ but wouldn’t explain why they were able to tow it the first time

Negative experience: Tried to get ahold of Alyssa Watkins my insurance agent 5 or 6 times she wouldn't answer her phone left voicemail she never called me back so I could set up auto pay and to pay bill so I wouldn't loose my insurance.wound up loosing my insurance.worst agent there went to Another insurance
Negative experience: This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a AAA office. My husband and I were on the road traveling from Oklahoma on old Rt66 and needed a map to follow the route back to Ohio. We had done this before going from Illinois to California but did not have a map today. I called the Joplin office…no answer, I finally selected member services and Jason in the Springfield office answered. All though this was no his job he assured me they had a map and I could pick it up there. When we arrived I informed the lady in the front of the office I was there to pick up a map, and that I had called ahead and spoke to Jason. Who??? You’ll have to have a seat and someone will be with you shortly. I understand she had customers but all someone had to do was hand me the map and where was Jason? If it wasn’t for Sue who heard the conversation and came over to help, and she asked Jason who too. She finally admitted there was a Jason (does he work remotely?) took our membership # and gave us the map. Also by the way being a customer of AAA for many years I have never heard of any office I have been to not letting a CUSTOMER use the restroom. What am I paying for being out of town and needing directions isn’t that what your office is suppose to do give direction and comfort, I’ll remember that when my membership comes due.
Negative experience: Total loss 2004 Ram 2500 4x4 with custom alloy wheels costs over 14k to replace yet they only pay "their cash value" which was about 4200. Making matters worse, they charge me $900 to buy back my own vehicle which now has a totaled title.

Negative experience: After having no issues with AAA for years and having some of the cheaper rates they decide to raise my rate for inflation way to screw the little guy.
Fantastic experience: i used to use state farm before them, Chris at AAA managed to save me over $80 a month. always very fast and very friendly service. answers any questions or resolves any issues in a timely manner. Highly recommend.
Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Can't ever get ahold of anyone in the office. They charged me $75 to cancel my policy. They have higher rates than anyone around and their app is so inaccurate when it come to tracking your driving "score". This is my second time using AAA. The first time was a headache with getting my auto payments set up with the agent and I canceled no problem. I canceled bc I told them I wasn't driving and didn't need insurance. This time I told them I was canceling bc I got another policy. For cheaper. And I was informed that my "cancelation fee" was actually for switching companies. IF YOU CANCEL YOUR POLICY DO NOT TELL THEM ANY REASON. SAY YOU ARE NO LONGER DRIVING THAT VEHICLE

Negative experience: If I could give a 0 star review I would, I have had the absolute worst experience with this company. Jeremy my agent refused to quote me full coverage insurance after I text, emailed, and everything else I could for months and then I wrecked my vehicle and lost it because he refused to answer any of my messages regarding full coverage. Then when I got a new vehicle and was finally able to get full coverage the price was outrageous! Every single insurance company I've looked at has been at least $200 cheaper. They also had the wrong payment information for me and kept trying to charge me additional charges for returned payments when they messed up and put the wrong payment information in! They cancelled my coverage without letting me know, I got the letter after it was cancelled and would have had to pay way extra just to get it back over there mistakes. I will never use AAA for insurance ever again, from beginning to end my experience was horrible and they did nothing to make it right. I lost a brand new vehicle to their negligence, and then have been screwed around everyday I've been a customer. Very disappointing and would not recommend them to even my worst enemy!

Negative experience: I was in a wreck that messed up my back wheel so that I couldn’t drive. I called AAA immediately so I could be towed back to my house, which was only a few miles away. I had to wait 2.5 hours on site for the tow company to finally arrive. When the guy did get there, he informed me that since the tag on my plates were expired AAA wouldn’t tow me and he immediately left. Of course, the expired tags are my fault (it was a 21 sticker and it is Jan 22, so I didn’t realize I was so behind.) But still, leaving a person (and paying customer for years too) stranded after a wreck for such a small thing that doesn’t have to do with them is so ridiculous and inhumane. Glad to know I’m a number to get money out of and not a person to the big corporation.

Negative experience: I live in Springfield Missouri. I am elderly. I’ve been an automobile roadside service member for 30 years. My last two calls I discovered that Henry’s no longer had the contract and there’s another company that has the contract for road service provision. The first time I had let my battery die I called in it took two hours for A truck to arrive, he didn’t seem concerned at all but he hadn’t text me first also he said I was in Springfield when you’re call came in but I was on my way to Nixa on another call so I had to take care of that one first that made no sense to me and I was very angry the second time I thought the ignition key was stuck I called for help they told me they were calling a local locksmith, called Harper Lock I waited 10 minutes for a text telling me when I could expect an arrival since I didn’t get a text I called Harper (I am familiar with this key company and they are excellent ) and they had never been notified, NOR Do they go out to automobiles on ignition problems I was furious and I called back to roadside assistance number and she said that she was too busy to write me up a message and I told her that Harper was the wrong One to call they did not make Outcalls nor did they work on ignitions. I had wasted two hours at this point finally I called my mechanic and solve the problem myself. I have called twice to leave this poor report to the auto club and I have not had a call back. 30 years a member and his services changed so badly I will probably have to get another roadside service the auto club saving money probably by dropping Henry’s bad mistake they were always an excellent service provider.

Positive experience: I'm disappointed I've been calling for several times about locksmith and then when they were able to finally came on out they scheduled for 10 and I was here but because I didn't answer my phone no one came which in case the case caused my daughter had broken the key then she drilled it out so then I wasn't able to get it fixed I've always been happy with AAA but I'm very disappointed this time we scheduled that appointment he should have been here my car be on the road I'm still not very very disappointed and happy going to cost me a lot of money

Negative experience: They were Pushy to switch me over and unfortunately just not as good service as AAA of southern california, inaccurate information regarding prices, basically no actual assistance for my rental car when i needed it, ended up doing it myself. Overall the best help i got was when i complained online they were quick to help with the issue of canceling my insurance when my check was already in the mail... no phone call, no text, no email about late notice or balance due, i didn't even realize i owed until a bill came and i paid it promptly upon receipt of the bill... i have been a AAA for over 9 years and for the first time ever am thinking about another insurance company. Hopefully they can reform the way their teams work and i can stick around but idk...
Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for AAA. The hub on our tire broke and sent our tire flying off the car and into on coming traffic on Thanksgiving day, and AAA was there for us. We with you, ensure you are safe and are always available to get you the help you need. We had a similar issue with our car the day before yesterday, and they had a tow truck to us within about 15-20 minutes and got us safely home. Please get this for yourself and your families.

Positive experience: Rates keep going up every year. If you have rental property watch what they sell you because if you have hail damage they will not pay much to have it replaced. I was not satisfied

Negative experience: I have been paying my AAA insurance with Michael Brown in Springfield Missouri on South Cambell and he said he took the payment but AAA sent me a letter saying the payment was not made, I've had nothing but problems with Michael Brown he is the worst insurance agent ever. I'm going to get a new agent and I will not recommend Michael Brown to anyone, he is lazy and incompetent. Now they sent me a letter saying that they have cancelled my insurance when my payment was made the 15th of January. Stay away from Michael Brown at AAA on south cambell, if you have him change agents as soon as possible

Fantastic experience: I have been a AAA member for 13 years and have used many of their services and discounts over that time but had never considered quoting them on my insurance services. Well that has changed now having transferred my auto and homeowners over to the Auto Club Exchange. All discounts including a hefty AAA member discount have cut my insurance costs by 43% saving me a total of $123 EVERY MONTH! Not only are the company savings substantial as opposed to the former large national company but the team in the local Springfield office is outstanding in their service to customers. If your not a member become one and if you are explore their insurance offerings. You won't be sorry!
