Negative experience: I requested a scheduled tow from my home in Guntersville to a local dealership and no one came. An hour after the window had passed I called and was told the 1 hour window was “just an estimate.” The dealership was then closed so I rescheduled for 10 am today. No tow truck and no phone call. At 11:30 this morning I called again and was told the dispatcher would call me to let me know when the driver would be on his way. It’s now 5:30 pm and no call. What pitiful service from a company I have been with since 2013.
Positive experience: They do passport photos BUT they don’t do a digital copy! Go to Walgreens for that.
Fantastic experience: Just used my roadside services for the first time this year and just wanted to say my tow truck driver Andy was awesome!
Negative experience: they were great in person terrible on the phone and the ones on the phone do not care at all if they help, they will even hang up on you
Negative experience: SEAN OLIVER in Huntsville Al.Deceived Me While I was Sighning up for Roadside Service and Signed me up for Auto Insurance which I already Have . NOTE:YOU DO NOT NEED A VERIFICATION SIGNATURE FOR ROADSIDE. . He was Trying to steal the Money out my account. Do not trust this Thieve. His Manager Stacy Bibbs Should Fire Him because I'm sure he's a Repetitive Scam artist.
Negative experience: We had a flat tire on a busy expressway up in Michigan 800 miles from home at 7am. AAA refused to dispatch the closest tow truck because it was too expensive. They let us wait for an hour and never sent anybody. When I called back for the 4th time the woman told me that I could call a tow service and then submit the receipt. She had waited for over an hour before telling me that. She knew where all the wrecker services were, but now I needed to find one on my own. I did, of course, and then made sure they did pay for the "expensive" tow by submitting the receipt. So they saved nothing and lost a long time customer. I've been a member for 55 years and this "service" was worse than having nothing. We would have been back on the road before I had to called AAA the second time in frustration. AAA didn't care that we were in an extremely dangerous spot, a narrow shoulder with a drop-off and an endless stream of semis barreling past at 80mph.
Negative experience: The only reason for zero stars is the fact that they don't give you the option. If you are smart heed my warning and never ever do business with AAA Alabama unless you enjoy headaches. If it's anything like my case they will have your money and you will have no insurance and getting your money back will be like pulling teeth.
Negative experience: I contacted them for a bundled home and auto policy. I received competitive premium quote and signed up for all policies and paid in full for the year. One week later I get a 'policy update from the underwriter' that increased my home policy by 40%! And they can't/won't give me the policy I agreed to and paid for, "because AAA needs to insure for full replacement value'. That is what the quote process was for! Watch out for this BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM! Also they know full well what they're doing because they have a "10% early cancellation PENALTY".
Fantastic experience: I have used Shante multiple times for hotels and flights, and for my family's flights and accommodations. The travel agent ladies, Shante, Londa and Denise, are all super helpful if I have had any concerns or questions. They are always knowledgeable and willing to assist. Plus they give great recommendations for vacations and I love going to their seminars on different cruise lines! To others, please keep in mind, this office does not help with Roadside Assistance of any kind. Birmingham does. I have asked the questions in the past-having lived in Bham, I assumed the HSV office had some control over Roadside Assistance(they don't), and I've used the updated user friendly app for my own car assistance(I had a flat tire and they came within 45 min). In this age of technology, most Roadside Assistant apps are at the mercy of subcontracted workers. It's not an office issue. A few times I have been in the office where other customers have been really loud, but the ladies always handle these situations with grace. I HIGHLY recommend any of these ladies for travel needs!
Negative experience: Called AAA at 8 this morning for a battery jump start. Over the course of the day I've talked to 12 people at AAA. It's 7:30 PM and still no service. Explanation, the drivers are too busy. Thankfully, I'm at home otherwise, I would still be sitting on the side of the road. Totally unacceptable.
Negative experience: AAA is good, in an ideal situation. Outside of that, i.e. not normal business hours, you're out of luck. AAA told us they were giving top priority on an interstate tow service. A little while later, they called to say they had no one to send. That priority sure changed! The tow truck driver we found said AAA is a joke!
Negative experience: Our son's car died in the middle of the median on the Interstate eight miles from Tuscaloosa, Alabama Sunday night. We live in Huntsville. Long story short they left him stranded. Told us they could not assist. We had to find our own wrecker. How could we get assistance and AAA could not? And its virtually impossible to talk to a person. Will be dropping after almost 30 years. AAA is inept.
Negative experience: I recommend everyone cancel their AAA membership! They are very unprofessional at the Huntsville location. I am making this review as I am still currently stranded, and have been since 5:34. It is now 9:12 and they have changed my ETA three different times. 48 years down the drain. TOTAL rip-off
Negative experience: I suggest cancelling your membership if you experience the lack of service I just did today. AAA lost a 40 year member and 4 more in my family. Follow up with customer non existent after tow truck driver decides to cancel the service because we could not hear their phone call to us while stranded on the road. I think we can find a better road service dealer that wants to keep customers. Zero stars is my rating.
Negative experience: Still waiting. Been 3 1/2 days. Wow..they just don't have it together. The dispatch co is not getting calls. They are waiting also!
Negative experience: I would rate them -1 star if I could. I have had them for 10 years, 2 vehicles and home insurance, I have never filed a claim until now! The Huntsville Al branch is the laziest people in the world, especially "Amy King" Me and my family have been without water since oct 2021, we are using the neighbors showers as the pipe is busted underneath the slab and pours water into my home. their policy says they are entitled to provide access to the leak but the refuse because its underneath my kitchen cabinets and tiled floor. I have had to contact a lawyer and the health dept. Please, I beg you guys to not use AAA as your insurance company, you will regret your decision! They will NOT help you, they are liars and thieves! Take your money elsewhere because with AAA you can not rest at night knowing they got your back because they DO NOT! I have warned you!

Negative experience: THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY! I went with AAA on my auto and homeowners insurance in 2014. Over a 5 year period, my premiums literally tripled. So, I cancelled my policy. About a year later I have a collection pop up on my credit report from a company representing AAA claiming I have an unpaid balance. I reach out to AAA and they tell me that I have a zero balance and don't owe anything. Now after over paying for Insurance, I have to fight off a derogatory mark on my credit report. Do not give your business to these clowns.

Negative experience: First, James from United towing was excellent. To make a long story short for this purpose, we waited 3 hours for a tow and was unable to get in touch with AAA to inquire what the problem was. No phone answer after multiple attempts. After I went online and made a service request myself, after over 3 hours waiting, did I rec a tow. I had already made the request on phone with AAA. I guess if I'd waited on AAA to do it we'd still be waiting.
Negative experience: I have been waiting for 2 hours to get a tow to Damson Honda in Huntsville, Al. I live 4 miles from the location. Terrible customer service. I will be canceling my 29 year membership at the end of this year.

Fantastic experience: I got booted from my previous insurance company, leading a lot of other companies to offer me outrageous rates or refuse to insure me at all. Not only did AAA never waver in their amazing roadside coverage, they offered me an incredible rate for auto insurance. I've been with them for insurance nearly a decade now (I've had roadside coverage since I was 16), and I've yet to find another company that can even match what they've offered -- much less offer it cheaper or better!

Negative experience: Update: FAKE REVIEWS, it appears that the agent or sales person is writing reviews under numerous accounts click on the user's writing the reviews and look at what they review before if it's only the company then it is fake. They also report negative reviews and only respond to their own positive reviews My homeowners insurance trippled in four years, without any claims. The only excuse was my home value increased $17,000. Also, the car insurance went up by $1,200 a year, reason given, claims have jumped in my area. I was with them for 4 years. They also do not participate in the the insurance database that other insurance companies contribute to, to verify you have been insured, which increases the time you stay with them until they contact your new insurance company for the verification.
Negative experience: I am a AAA member. They are the worst company I've ever delt with. Jan 9, 2020, 2:32 pm. I am broke down in the middle of the road. I called them for help and they refuse to help me. Unless I pay a very high fee.

Negative experience: My car was at my house and it wouldn't turn on and we tried jump starting it but after that it wouldn't turn on again so we called AAA to come replace my battery and the guy got to my house and said I didn't need a new battery and that I just needed to charge it for 45 minutes. So I did, and it wouldn't turn on again. So we ended up getting it towed to the nearest chevy dealership and turns out... I needed a new battery. So AAA wasted my time with saying I didn't need a new one so now I haven't had a car for over a week and I have places to be. This could've been fixed so easily but it wasn't. Very disappointed.

I always go thru agent, Denise Cooper, she's AWESOME, PATIENT and leaves no stone unturned, to make sure my daughters, granddaughter and I have a GREAT TIME. Negative experience: They just ripped my parents off. Instead of recharging my parents battery, they convinced them to replace their 4-week old battery with ANOTHER $140 battery! THEY ARE THIEVES

Fantastic experience: I’ve used AAA Travel in Huntsville, AL for 25 years both for domestic and international travel. There are clear reasons for my total satisfaction and which brings me back to them over and over again. It is unusual to find a company in any industry that so consistently demonstrates integrity, outstanding and reliable communication, rapid and dependable service, and, that even steps up to go the occasional extra mile to ensure that as a customer, I am well taken care of, anticipating any issues that could arise during my travel. I’m getting ready to plan another trip, this time to Asia and have complete confidence that I will be well taken care of and kept “totally satisfied”. As one that is a critical thinker and provides performance turnarounds in my work, it is remarkable that, in 25 years, I have never had a reason to lessen my opinion of this company.
Fantastic experience: Jerry the only reason I can think of for anyone to ask you to change your deductible would be if the company you have a loan though demanded you have a smaller deductible so they can protect their assets. The accusation of a bait and switch company is completely unfounded and is due to lack of understanding and/or lack of communication from your agent - or you just refused to listen and felt like posting a negative review (you're 3 for 4 in this department). Also, if your old insurance company had not canceled your policy which you requested to be canceled two weeks ago, why would you not leave negative feedback for them? I think your agent did a bad job in explaining the situation to you, and out of confusion you became frustrated, and frustration brought an unfounded negative review.
Negative experience: Don't trust AAA. I went to AAA at 2625 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL near Parkway City Mall to open an automotive insurance policy. I did open an automotive insurance policy with AAA. Two weeks later I received a telephone call that they wanted to change my collision deductible. I asked why as we went through all the paper work and I signed for the contract. The response is that they wanted to charge me more money because of the specific vehicle I own. AAA did not want to abide by the contract. This is a bait and switch technique that won't work on me. I new that I could not trust them and went back with my old automotive insurance company. Luckily, my old automotive insurance company did not stop my policy after two weeks of cancelling them. Don't trust AAA.
