Fantastic experience: The Real Greece Travel planned a wonderful trip to Greece for our family. We had 4 adults & 2 children. We saw some wonderful sights & tours which we would have never found on our own. Our Driver Nick was fabulous. He knew the history & recommended great restaurants for us. He always had bottled water in the van for us! Our accommodations were very nice. It was a very memorable vacation!

Fantastic experience: If you are planning a trip to Greece, you NEED to work with the Real Greece team. They have team members in both Greece and the US who are experts on the culture and the logistics of the country and have connections at most destinations who provide world-class tours and accommodations. I intended to plan my family's trip to Greece myself, but after facing logistical challenges, I interviewed a few companies to help. One call with Carole convinced me that we needed her guidance. She accommodated every request (and we had many!) from our party of 5, including visiting family, some mobility restrictions, and dietary restrictions. She offered recommendations and insights for hotels, excursions and restaurants that we had not considered. She provided a detailed itinerary and we were off to Greece! Not only was our trip well-planned, but the true value of this team is apparent when you arrive in Greece. Danai was in constant contact with us via WhatsApp and handled every single aspect of our trip with quick messages. Whether it was providing an ETA for a driver, changing dinner reservations, adding excursions or making phone calls on our behalf (since we don't speak Greek) we essentially had an expert guide with us the entire trip. Fantastic experience: If Greece is your Dream Vacation then Real Greece Travel can and will make it happen for you. We traveled with our family of 11 ages from 77 to 13. It was so amazing from the start to the finish. The Itinerary was based on everything we could have ever asked for and more. Carol and Basil made it happen. Our flight arrivals were monitored by Carol and Basil. We were picked up at the airport on time and taken to their Sky View Villa. What a beautiful villa it was. They had our tickets for all excursions ready for us everyday, personal van for our family's transportation, plane tickets to Santorini, a mini cruise to the islands, cooking class in our Villa, and a Foody Tour. There was so much attention to detail I can not even put it all into this review. But I hope you get the picture! The Sky View Villa (one of their properties) was perfect in every way. We could walk to great restaurants, grocery store, and shopping. No Uber required. We felt like a local. Everyone had an amazing time. We highly recommend this guide service. They pay attention to every part of your trip and want all travelers to have a wonderful time while visiting in Athens and all the historical sites. Thank you Carol and Basil for all you did to make our family so very happy. We love you and hope to return to Greece and tell all of our friends just how much this trip meant to us.

Fantastic experience: “Real Greece” lived up to its name! They are complete experts in all things Greek. Each of the four cities/towns we visited had a very unique and cool “vibe”. Every hotel room they booked for us had an amazing view with outstanding service. The private tours were fantastic and tailored to what we wanted to experience e.g. history, local culture and cuisine. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and very talkative. Especially Niko in Santorini! Lastly, the logistics were executed flawlessly. We had 24/7 communication with Danai and Basil. They responded to our texts within minutes if not sooner! Just a “textbook” example of outstanding customer service! There is no we could have planned this on our own. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing from start to finish…it just happened exactly as planned. Carole and her team delivered a vacation of a lifetime for us and I can’t thank them enough. Fantastic experience: Very highly recommend using Real Greece -- we had an incredible family vacation that Carole planned for us, and I wouldn't change anything about it. She was very helpful in balancing the time we had, what we were interested in doing, and the travel logistics. There are a ton of very different places to go and things to do in Greece--such a cool place! The travel logistics were phenomenal; having Danai in communication during the trip made everything so easy. She texted us with plans, itineraries, and tips each day. When issues came up with travel, she texted us with the changes and everything we needed--tickets already booked and checked in, times changed, and everything arranged. So easy. When we wanted a restaurant or a driver at short notice, she got back to us immediately with everything arranged. All of the staff were great. All the drivers and guides were top-notch--very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Kostas on Santorini, George on Naxos, Antonis and Nico in Athens, Stelios at the Acropolis...everyone was perfect, so passionate about their country and dedicated to providing a fantastic experience, and such nice people to spend time with and talk to. If you're considering using Real Greece, I would say that it is absolutely worth it. As we traveled, there were several situations where we would have had problems if we were on our own -- things that we wouldn't have known about (ferries not running on a certain day, an airport randomly closing, attractions being closed without warning). These would have caused problems with our trip and changed the experience, and at the very least would have been stressful. With Real Greece, everything was anticipated and they were flexible to keep things on track and stress free -- the problem had been solved before we even knew it was a thing, all we had to do was keep keep vacationing! Just something to think about as you plan a big trip. Thanks to Carole and Real Greece for one of our most special family experiences!

Fantastic experience: My family and I just returned from a fantastic adventure in Greece, thanks to the Real Greece travel team. Carole and her team made a 35 year old dream of visiting some of the most important site in ancient western history a reality for me, while making sure my 14 year old twins had a fun filled adventure as well. All our needs were catered to ... Including our wish to have some time off to relax and enjoy our adventures. Our drivers George and Niko, were friendly and helpful. All our guides were extraordinarily knowledgeable and full of wonderful stories that made these ancient places come alive for the boys and me. Danai in Athens helped us negotiate our daily schedule flawlessly. She sent me Google map link when we made impromptu visits to an extra museum or restaurant or shop. She set up reservations at the best cosy eateries. We experienced an olive oil tasting, took a cooking class, and enjoyed horseback riding in the Arcadian wilderness. We walked through beautiful gorges with a wonderful guide and chef named Dimitrious, who provided a picnic along the river after our long walk. Basil welcomed us personally in Athens. Throughout our trip I felt free to relax and enjoy my experience, without worrying about logistics. Most importantly, Carole set up exactly the kind of trip I wanted to take...she really listened to my ideas and came back with multiple suggestions for me to consider. This was truly a trip of a lifetime!

Fantastic experience: Traveling with the team from Real Greece Travel (Carole, Basil, Nikko and Danai) is like traveling with old friends. They know the best places to go because they have been there themselves AND they take care of all the details. We had a terrific visit to Crete and a small village outside of Athens, Piana, and got a wonderful taste of Greece. It really is a small and personalized experience - you feel like you are the only ones that they are taking care of. And they do take care of you. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We had a group of 21 people and this apartment was the perfect fit! Communication leading up to the trip and during the trip was timely and easily understood. The owners' assistant met us at check-in to walk us through the ins and outs of the space, which was really helpful! The location was spot on (the view is INCREDIBLE!) for our needs and area dining options are fantastic. I recommend checking out the restaurant right up the street with the red and white awning for some tasty local fare. We walked to the city square one night and never once did we feel unsafe. Great neighborhood! We had an issue with the hot water heater the first night, but the owner was VERY quick to get it fixed for us. I have stayed in other places where the owners were not very willing to help with issues or local recommendations, but that is definitely not the case here! We were able to order a birthday cake for a member of our group and it was in the fridge and waiting for us when we arrived...with candles and a lighter too! I can't say enough good things about this space. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: We just returned from an absolutely phenomenal 5-star, 13 day trip to Greece thanks to Carole, Danai, and Niko (our driver for 5 days). We visited Santorini, Naxos, Nafplion (on the Peloponnese) and Athens. The entire team at Real Greece went above and beyond in planning a unique, tailor-made trip for us that was relaxing, enjoyable, memorable and stress-free. Everything from pre-planning to the end of our trip was thoughtfully organized and coordinated. Their attention to detail was 5-plus stars. On a regular basis throughout the trip, Danai would contact us with suggestions, updates and confirm times and reservations. They could be reached within minutes and responded promptly to any questions we had during our trip. Their local insight and recommendations were very much appreciated. We ate at some of the best local restaurants! One of our most memorable ones was the authentic Greek barbeque our last night in a small town between Athens and the Temple of Poseidon. All the lodging, excursions, tour guides, inter-island flights and ferry were meticulously arranged and resulted in a smooth and unforgettable experience. We are just gushing with praise for Greece! When we return to Greece, we will definitely use Carole and her team again!

Fantastic experience: Carole and Basil (and their local colleague in Athens Danai) are fantastic...specialists in travel to and about all things Greece. Working carefully with Carole, who thoughtfully designed a 10 day trip for us that was based not only on what we would like to see and experience, but she did so in a way that matched our interests, our idiosyncrasies, and how we like to travel. She asked us dozens of questions in the travel planning stage and carefully considered our responses, and then offered us 4 or 5 alternative itineraries which could work for us. She then assisted us as we made our final travel choices. Believe me, this was not a "canned" itinerary...it was put together for us, and included perfect amounts of time in Santorini, followed by Naxos, and concluding in Athens. Merely mentioning these destinations, however, does not do justice to all that Carole planned while we were at each location. The hotels selected were perfect, the privately guided tours were led by experienced local certified guides that were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly, and the private drivers moved us around effortlessly (both to nearby and far away locations), safely and right on schedule (also providing us with key information along the way). Travelers who observed us at various sites would often lean in to listen to our guides as they provided extensive and interesting commentary as we moved about (far better and more extensive presentations compared to what we observed by other guides, particularly those handling much larger "tour bus" groups of travelers - in other words, make sure to work with private guides and experienced travel consultants like at Real Greece (it is worth every euro that we paid). This was the trip of a lifetime, and would not have been so without the work of Carole and Real Greece. I would recommend them for your travel needs and desires in and about Greece without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: From the moment we landed every detail of our trip was meticulously planned. We loved the beautiful white and blues hones of Santorini and the gorgeous views of the ocean from our room. Naxos did not disappoint. We had the best exercise on our guided trip through the countryside with George. On to Athens and our trip to the olive oil factory with a wonderful tasting. Nixos was a wonderful driver. Our last day seeing the Acropolis and Parthenon with our lovely guide. I love Greece, it's hospitality and it's food! We will be back.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently returned from an incredible trip to Greece, and I cannot thank Carole Heiman-Kezios at Real Greece Travel enough for making it a truly unforgettable vacation. I was suffering from analysis overload after months of research online, and that is when a friend recommended that I reach out to Carole. From the first phone call, Carole was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping us plan the perfect itinerary. She took the time to understand what we were looking for and our preferences. Carole understood that we didn’t have a lot of time but suggested a plan that included destinations like Athens, Naxos, and Santorini. The accommodations were top-notch, ranging from 5-star hotels to luxurious beachfront resorts. I need to make a special call out to the cliff-side room with our own plunge pool that we stayed in on Santorini. I have never seen such a beautiful room in my life! Also, each place was perfectly located, allowing us to explore the beautiful surroundings of Athens and the islands easily and avoid the crowds from the Cruise Lines. The recommended restaurants were also a highlight, showcasing delicious local cuisine and great wine! The private guided tours Carole arranged were phenomenal. Our guide for the Acropolis/Parthenon, Stelios, was friendly, funny, and informative. His knowledge of Greek history and mythology made the history of this amazing place come alive. We also had a private guided hike in the Chalki region of Naxos. George was local to the area and gave us an authentic view into the life on the island. Finally, we had the most beautiful sunset cruise on the island of Santorini. We cruised around the island learning the history and the volcanic origin as well as local life. Then we were treated to dinner (followed by sunset) grilled right on the boat. This was of course complemented with lots of Greek side dishes and wine! Transportation was seamless, with all transfers organized efficiently, so we never had to worry about logistics. Carole booked our local flights and ferry in addition to all the taxi transfers. This allowed us to maximize our time in each location and fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the islands and local culture. What truly stood out was our local contact, Danai (at Real Greece), and her attention to detail and customer service. She met us at the hotel the day we arrived and checked in with us daily during the trip to ensure everything was going smoothly. She was quickly responsive on our group What’s App chat with answers to any questions that arose or directions needed. In short, our trip to Greece was nothing short of magical, and I owe it all to Carole and Danai at Real Greece Travel. If you’re considering a trip to Greece, I highly recommend reaching out to them. All of the events were confirmed with the vendors and the private cars ALWAYS arrived exactly on time. It was ideal. I even left my phone in a private car and the RealGreece team quickly reacted and sent the driver immediately back to my location to return my phone. Fantastic experience: Carole and her team were amazing. The team really tailored our trip based on what the whole family wanted to do. They were super helpful with suggestions of itineraries and places to visit. We had a wonderful Greek cooking class as a family. The door to door transportation made our experience so seamless. While in Athens we stayed in one of Carole's apartments which gave our family some space and allowed us to experience what it is like to really live like a native Greek. I was lost trying to plan this trip on my own. Carole and her team took the stress away and really created a memorable trip that we will all cherish.

Fantastic experience: Our trip planned by Real Greece Travel surpassed our expectations. They did a wonderful job planning so that we could see the best parts of the islands we visited as well as memorable spots in Athens. The tour guides they set us up with were so knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely kind people with whom we enjoyed spending time. It wouldn’t have been possible to fit everything in that we did without their help. Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful 4 days in Athens at Carole and Basil’s Sky Villa. 19 of us fit easily into the connected apartments, Carole and her concierge, Daini also arranged activities for us, including a Greek cooking class. Speaking of class, their Real Greece Travel company is a class act-very accommodating, quick response time for any need and quite kind and friendly people too. Their services continued beyond Athens as they booked activities and restaurants for us at our following destination, Crete. Everything has been just as described-fantastic experience from planning to execution, no regrets at all!

Fantastic experience: When our trip to Israel and Egypt was cancelled, we needed to book a trip for 18 days with three weeks left until departure. We turned to Carole and Real Greece travel, who prepared the most amazing and awesome trip to Greece that far exceeded our expectations. Not knowing that much about mainland Greece, with Carole's thoughtful suggestions, we chose the Peloponnese and Crete. Once we arrived, we were greated by Nico, who was our driver, but who also became our new best friend in Greece. Not only did he drive us to our different destinations, he was fun, knowledgeable about Greek history, and had great suggestions for everything that we needed, including the best tavernas in the area. We spent a lot of time with Nico as he drove us around the Peloponnese, and we will sincerely miss him. Our guides were incredible. We learned so much about Ancient Greek history, mythology, gastronomy, and on, and on. Thanks to Real Greece, the guides are chosen carefully to provide the best experience. Everyday, we appreciated that Danai would check in to see that our day went perfectly. When we had a minor glitch in Heraklion, Real Greece was readily available and helpful to make a quick change of plan at literally the last moment. We had another amazing day! We had not considered going to Greece until the unfortunate events in the Middle East. After this trip, however, I can not wait to go back to Greece next year and explore more of this truly fascinating and wonderful country, with it's incredible history, lovely people, fantastic cuisine, and beautiful landscapes. Arranged a 17-night experience for us that included 6 different hotels and a mix of private and small group excursions. The communication in-country (using What's App) was efficient and the local team was extremely responsive, flexible and helpful with real-time reservations and tweaks to the itinerary. Fantastic experience: Our recent trip to Greece was one of our best trips ever. Carole at Real Greece took the time upfront to get to know us and our interests. After some discussions and filling out a fairly detailed questionnaire, Carole gave us three possible itineraries. We picked the one we felt was best for us, tweaked it a bit, and Real Greece took it from there. Basil was helpful with logistics and making sure our communication lines were working properly. Since we moved around quite a bit it was great that Real Greece was in constant contact with us through WhatsApp. Carole and Danai (who is based in Athens) let us know about even minor changes in our schedule. (Your driver to the airport this morning is going to be about 5 minutes late due to traffic!) All of the guides that Real Greece set us up with were very knowledgeable and personable. The guide that we spent the most time with, Niko, who spent six days with us traveling through the Peloponnese, was outstanding. His knowledge of each location was very helpful even when we had a local guide. Our experience with Real Greece was great and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Without a doubt Real Greece Travel was an excellent resource for our pre-cruise stay in Athens. There were eight persons in our group and we all loved the four-bedroom apartment that we rented through Real Greece Travel. A delightful bonus was that the unit was ready upon our early morning arrival. That’s unusual when traveling from the States to Europe. Upon arrival our driver, George was easy to find and quite informative about what to see and do and especially eat in Athens. When we arrived at the unit we were met by Danai, another wonderful representative of Real Greece Travel who explained how everything worked. She was a wealth of information and identified where to shop for local food items (beer and wine). She recommended a most perfect restaurant where we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Real Greece Travel, on very short notice, arranged a tour of the highlights of Athens for several of us. Our guide, Nick, was both congenial and knowledgeable. We spent the better part of half a day getting to see the highlights of Athens from the Acropolis to the changing of the guard at the presidential palace. Fantastic experience: 15 of us went to Crete and Athens to celebrate a milestone birthday together, and the Real Greece team helped us plan and create a truly memorable experience! The private cruise and Cretan cooking classes were particularly amazing, but everything from start to finish was just first-class. Carole, Basil, and especially Danai (live on the ground in Greece) were fabulous. Most of our group have traveled a lot, and we aren’t easy to impressed, but Real Greece impressed us.

They secured the perfect villa on Crete for our group of 16 people. We took advantage of these options, and had a great experience with George upon pickup, sweet and efficient Danai at check-in, and a tour and departing ride with cool and knowledgeable Nick. Nick's tour offered a lot of history and insights, and assurance that things would go as planned/expected. This entire team offers classy and competent people to assist with your visit as much as you need. While most American visitors will find bathrooms small (true for most of Europe), the other living spaces and outdoor patios of this property are large and very useful. The kitchen is well-stocked with all things you might need, and there are a lot of food and shopping options just downstairs and within one block.

Fantastic experience: There are only 5 stars but they deserve 10 stars. We had a wonderful week in Greece thanks to this amazing team. Carole, Danai and Niko made sure that everything was properly organized to the last detail. They arranged airport picks ( which were many due to the family group arriving at different times and days ). They arranged tours with excellent local guides. Niko was an excellent tour guide and driver that felt like family at the end of the week.. The apartment was truly comfortable with everything we needed and more. Their attention to detail and our welcome goodies were exquisite. The location is excellent because it’s in a local area with supermarket, bakeries, cafes, pharmacies,everything a few steps away. The restaurants in the area offered delicious meals at very reasonable prices. The view of the Acropolis from the terrace was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Athens.

Fantastic experience: We booked an Azamara cruise with two other couples through Italy and Greece. My sister recommended Real Greece for the day excursions and it couldn’t have better or more stress-free! It awesome it was to have private guides for our small group, separate from the pack from the cruise; seamlessly connecting us with the tour guides from activity to activity; a great eclectic mix of activities and a wealth of knowledge custom created for our preferences!. We had access to activities that would not have been possible with a large tour group. Carole and the team set up a group chat for fast communication, awesome app with itinerary and photos and thorough guidance ahead of time. Fantastic experience: Carol and team were incredible. They planned our honeymoon, and we couldn't have been happier. When we ran in to weather issues that impacted some of our travel between islands, we got assistance in real time to help monitor the status of the ferry, communicate to hotels, arranged transport and rental car dropoff, etc. Having help available 24/7 turned what could have been a massively stressful experience in to a breeze! Our honeymoon was everything we wanted it to be and more--we really felt that they heard our needs and wants from the trip, and put together the perfect itinerary. We couldn't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: We had an incredible stay with Real Greece. Their AirBnB was clean with great amenities and convenient location. The staff was beyond helpful in setting up activities, dinner reservations, and answering any and all questions. They even set up a dinner class in our AirBnB that was delicious and fun! I highly recommend them for anyone traveling to Greece!

Fantastic experience: Carole & Basil were not only great hosts at their Sky Villa in Athens ( which was perfect for our large family) , they also planned several great activities for us: a fabulous Chef assisted dinner for our family of 12; trips to Naphlion, Tripolis (to reconnect with family), Cape Sounion, as well as a fabulous Athens tour. Our chef & go-to person Danai Spania, her friend Ourania, & Nikos & Demetri our drivers were all outstanding & could not have been nicer. Our drivers were not only knowledgeable, but they added a lot of local flavor with their personalities. We could not have asked for better or more helpful folks. They made our dream family trip to Greece come true. If/when we come back, we know who to call. Yassas!!
