Fantastic experience: Our experience with WWTrek’s “Utah Mighty Five Adventures”was so above my expectations- this group of Professional Staff were just PERFECT! The staff from the headquarters planned the trip logistics but the expert guides along”made the trip” with planning routes for hiking and talking about the geology of the land. The three guides really connected with each of us and really guided our steps as well as incredible experiences enjoying the National as well as State Parks and early western towns. We stayed at very nice hotels and lodges; loved their home cooking and “themed dinners” and the spacious van was so comfortable as we drove short distances between parks! We had Full Trust in our guides and Team Leader- Kudos to Paul , Trent and Dustin! I am looking forward to another trip!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I decided to splurge for our 30th anniversary. Machu Picchu was on my bucket list and I’ve been following WWT’s trips for a while. We’re thrilled we went with them! The hotels and meals were top notch with sumptuous choices and amenities that made us feel spoiled. Each night ended with complete satisfaction; for both our efforts and the day’s experience. (The hot tubs didn’t hurt either!) Logistics for a trip of this magnitude (and altitude) takes careful planning. All the details were expertly crafted and with a watchful eye our guide, Joseph, handled everything professionally and seamlessly…Even when the terrain became demanding. In times of doubt, our small group collectively cheered each other on and besides new friends, we’ve come home with renewed spirits and glorious memories. I hope I can join WWT on another epic adventure. If my knees hold out I will!

Fantastic experience: My recent trek to Machu Picchu with World Wide Trekking (WWT) was an unforgettable adventure, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone considering this once-in-a-lifetime experience—especially those of us with a few more decades under our belts! 1. World Wide Trekking From start to finish, WWT delivered exactly what they promised. Their trip outline was delightfully accurate, and communication with their staff—both before and during the journey—was clear, timely, and helpful. Every team member I encountered was friendly, respectful, and highly responsive. At 72 years old, I especially appreciated a key feature of their offering: alternate transportation options for the most grueling segments of the trek. On the toughest day, crossing the Salkantay Pass, I happily rode a horse for about three hours—something that made the journey both manageable and enjoyable. 2. The Trek The trek itself was spectacular. The scenery was nothing short of jaw-dropping—constantly changing as we moved through a wide range of climate zones. From the stark, glacial landscape of Salkantay Pass to the lush, vibrant cloud forest, every bend in the trail revealed something new and awe-inspiring. While the hikes were challenging—especially after several hours on foot—the visual rewards were endless and well worth the effort. 3. Lodging & Comfort WWT bills this as a luxury trek, and they delivered. The lodges were exceptional, with warm, accommodating staff at each stop. After a long day on the trail, I looked forward to every hot tub soak and took full advantage of the massages. This trek strikes the perfect balance: rigor by day, relaxation by night. And after our day at Machu Picchu, the comfort and service of the Hiram Bingham train back to Cusco was an unexpected delight—a first-class ending to an epic journey. 4. Our Guide: Joseph Joseph was outstanding. Warm, engaging, and always attentive to our well-being, he brought deep insight to every site we visited. His knowledge of Incan traditions, history, and culture was extensive, and he had an equally impressive grasp of the region’s flora, fauna, geology, and weather patterns. Thanks to him, each location we explored came vividly to life. 5. Machu Picchu What can I say? Absolutely mind-blowing. To see it in person is to be truly humbled by the architectural and engineering genius of the Inca. We spent about 5½ hours in the park, including a climb up the iconic Huayna Picchu peak. It’s steep, sometimes even a little scary—you may find yourself crawling in parts—but absolutely worth it. Don’t miss the climb if you’re physically able. Visiting Machu Picchu is nothing short of epic. 6. Fellow Travelers One of the unexpected highlights of the trip was the camaraderie with my fellow trekkers. Sharing trails, meals, and stories over the course of the week forged a meaningful bond among us. There’s something powerful about shared adventure that brings people together. 7. Surprises WWT and Joseph included delightful surprises throughout the trek—thoughtful touches that deepened our immersion in the history, traditions, and even the farming life of this enchanting country. These moments added warmth, wonder, and authenticity to the journey. Of course, I can’t share the details—otherwise, they wouldn’t be surprises for future trekkers. In Summary: This trek was challenging, enriching, and beautiful in every way. For someone my age, WWT’s thoughtful planning and blend of adventure with luxury made it not only possible—but thoroughly enjoyable. Machu Picchu is indeed a wonder, and this was a truly exceptional way to experience it.

Fantastic experience: Another amazing adventure with World Wide Trekking is in the books! We were fortunate to be part of the inaugural Dingle Way Trek in Ireland. The magnificent scenery, delicious food and comfy accommodations, fascinating local history, Irish music, friendly locals and more adorable sheep and cows than you could possibly count made this a truly magical experience. Dean and his crew know how to do things right! There’s a reason we’ve already signed up for 2 more trips with World Wide Trekking!

Fantastic experience: World Wide Trekking Everest Base Camp! I trekked to Everest Base Camp (2022), a challenging trek with gorgeous, daunting, changing scenery. Dean Cardinale and his sherpas were fantastic; Dean is very careful. He saw to it that we had appropriate gear and acclimated appropriately. His staff took great care of our group of 12. Dean kept guests informed all along the trek. There was sightseeing, in Kathmandu and along the trek. Dean clearly loves the mountains and I am grateful for his sharing the experience. World Wide Trekking is engaged through its Human Outreach Project (HOP) with local projects in support of communities through which it travels.

Fantastic experience: We had the most incredible trip with WWT! This was a private trip to Peru, organized for the two of us, and it truly could not have been better. Lots of research, by us and by Jill of WWT, went into planning the trip. The itinerary was designed with our goals in mind and also to help us acclimate. This destination was much more interesting and rewarding than we ever imagined. Jill provided support to us throughout the tour. Our local guide was well informed, accommodated our needs, and was gracious and so much fun. I have traveled in the past with WWT and will for sure do so in the future. I highly recommend World Wide Trekking.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Peru trip organized for us across the Sacred Valley, Cusco and up to Machu Picchu, with perfect hosting skills by Joseph, plus Carlos in Lima. The breadth of hikes we took was staggering, sites visited were incredible, food was excellent.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I and our two adult children did the European Alps/Matterhorn to Mont Blanc trek in August 2024. We had a great time! Our guides, Dean (owner) and Paul, did a fantastic job. They were attentive to the guests, tended to all the details, and kept us informed every step of the way. The front office staff of WWT were equally dedicated including by promptly responding to questions, etc. The accommodations and restaurants chosen were all excellent. The other guests on this trek were all fun and interesting and a pleasure to be around. A really top notch experience. We look forward to traveling again soon with WWT.

Fantastic experience: The EBC trek was the most challenging trek but also the most rewarding. Being surrounded by peaks towering over 20K including the highest on this planet is an awe inspiring experience! Seeing rivers of ice and the effects of their retreat is truly amazing. All of this paired with Dean’s personal knowledge of the area provided a most immersive experience. The professionalism and dedication of the whole WWT team made this trek a most enjoyable and memorable one.

Fantastic experience: World Wide Trekking is absolutely the best and there are so many great things to say about them that I'll probably miss some. You can find cheaper and you will get far less. EBC was a once in a lifetime trip for me and I only wanted the best to ensure I had a great time and every opportunity to make it to that rock! Every aspect of the trip is prepared for in complete detail. Decades of guiding experience in Nepal gives you a great itinerary, the plans, and the support to get you to the top. It starts with a pickup from the airport and a welcome greeting at the hotel no matter what time you arrive. You're handed a welcome packet and the key to your hotel room ... no check-in required. Welcome dinner, local tours, trip briefing and gear checks make sure we're all acquainted and prepared to go. Once the trek starts, medical checks are done at the start of each day. All water is filtered by the guides and provided throughout the day .. we just hand them our empty water bottles and they do the rest. Cleanliness is key to staying healthy on the trek and WWT even provides their own condiments for the food we would eat in the teahouses. We even had our own reserved tables at every teahouse. Food orders were taken in advance so meals could be provided as soon as we rolled in. Relationships are key and Dean Cardinal, owner/guide, and the WWT Sherpas are well known and have longstanding relationships in each village. WWT gets the best teahouses and cafes available. You'll even see the WWT logo next a teahouse's sign. Every attention to detail is made to ensure a trekker can just focus on trekking and enjoying the trip. Another important aspect of WWT to me is their involvement with the local communities. Dean Cardinale is a terrific guide but also an amazing person. He is also the founder of the Human Outreach Project (HOP), a non-profit organization that supports local needs in Nepal and elsewhere in the world. He doesn't just guide and makes a buck ... he gives back and in a big way. If you make it to Pheriche on the EBC trek you will see the medical building that HOP built. This is just one of many things he has done to give back. Check out World Wide Trekking on the web, watch Dean's YouTube videos and I'm sure you will be convinced. I am very happy with my decision to use WWT and they delivered me a memory of a lifetime! I could not be more grateful! I plan to trek again and WWT will be my first choice.

Fantastic experience: I just finished a private tour of the Mighty Five National Parks in Utah with World Wide Trekking. I highly recommend this tour to anybody thinking about it. The parks were stunning and the hikes within them were beautiful and challenging. Our guide, Paul S. was a fantastic guide and I cannot speak highly enough of him. His knowledge of the area was extensive. Paul was both professional yet fun, and he blended in with our group seamlessly. It was refreshing to not have to worry about driving, making restaurant or hotel reservations or figuring out how to get to the various parks and which trails to take. Fantastic experience: We spent seven days, with Paul Spranklin of Worldwide Trekking, hiking Utah’s national parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyon Lands, and Arches) and the San Rafael Swell. Fantastic experience: To celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, we just completed the Aug European Alps Trek with Dean and WWT. We both cannot speak highly enough about this experience! The trip was meticulously planned by the WWT team from the initial coordination of travel to the classic hikes we took each day. Each daily hike brought different exposure to the majestic Alps showing how expertly Dean works on planning just the right trip. One thing that makes trekking with WWT so memorable is that, along with outstanding hiking, we get a great history lesson of where we are. Our other guide, Paul Lang, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and that was a true bonus. We could never have planned and organized this trip ourselves. Fantastic experience: Where do I even begin? My husband and my experience with WWTrek is hard to put in words. In fact, it's taken me nearly a month to gather my thoughts. To put it simply, I will never use a different trekking company ever again; I am certain none could compare. The experience we had with the entire company was incredible. From the booking process and communication, to the experience on the trek itself. To tell you a little bit about our trip to Everest Base Camp -- pretty much everything went wrong. To the point where everyone involved was thinking "are these signs?" "does Everest not want us here?" Our travel plans were delayed making a 28 hr trip a 44 hr trip when our airline stranded us in India instead of Nepal. Our first tea house caught on fire, on night 1. My husband and I both got food poisoning on night 3 and had to go to the hospital putting us an entire day behind our group. You'd think with all of these problems we would have had a really negative experience...but it was thanks to WWTrek that made up for it. With everything thrown at us, our guides Pasang and Kalden truly went above and beyond. We cannot thank them enough for pouring their hearts and souls into their jobs and caring for us in such unideal situations. They made what was already an uncomfy experience, an incredibly wonderful experience. There was not a second where we didn't feel safe, or supported. In fact, we are 100% certain that without WWTrek, we would not have made it to base camp. Without our incredible team of guides and porters, this experience would have been vastly different. Fantastic experience: My husband and I just came back from Machu Picchu Lodge to Lodge trek organized by World Wide Trekking. The trip was fantastic in every aspect. Perfect balance between physical activity and luxury (although we would not mind hiking more). Our Guids: Ed and Joseph were amazing and genuinely cared about us. Lodges are beautiful and cozy. Food was delicious. Beautiful views and friendly people. Transportation from and to the airport was provided without any problems. Everything was organized perfectly. We really enjoyed the trip and we are planning to travel more with World Wide Trekking.

Fantastic experience: My second trek with WWT and it was amazing. We did the Camping trek to Machu Picchu due to the lodge to lodge being booked. I am glad it was booked because in my opinion camping provided a more complete experience. Our Peruvian guide Guido was incredible providing a lot of cultural texture to the experience, very knowledgeable, personable, kind, understanding, encouraging; Guido is a 5 star guide. The support staff remarkable including the hiking chefs who make restaurant class meals on the trail. Look forward to my next trek with WWT.

Fantastic experience: Dean and his team put together a fantastic trekking experience. The trails they selected were just right, with one stunning view after another. The hotels were first rate, and the food was amazing. The guides Tina and Matt did a great job of coordinating the transfers, handling the logistics and managing the schedule, all while keeping an eye on everyone. Fantastic experience: I'm really not sure where to begin. This review is not going to be about the amazing Everest Base Camp trip that was just completed on 11/6/22 through Stanford Travel Study, that my boyfriend and I were scheduled to take. He did complete the trek, unfortunately, I did not. The altitude sickness medication interfered with my blood sugar and I became severely dehydrated, despite drinking the recommended 2L-3L of water. This caused me to become dizzy and even blacked out 3 times. Additionally, I came down with food poisoning. I did not even complete day 1! However, Dean and his team were amazing in getting me back to the hotel in Kathmandu, making sure I was safe and checking on me constantly. Once I was feeling better, Giljan from his team in Kathmandu, took me sightseeing. I was also assisted by a tour guide they use, locally. You can always right great things about the trek, but it says something about the company, Dean and his team when things did not go as expected. World Wide Trekking is an amazingly compassionate company with great staff that gives back. If you want to judge this company by the great treks, by all means do so. Their reviews are outstanding, but you know the heart of the company when things don't go as planned. You will not be disappointed or go wrong booking a trip with World Wide Trekking. Fantastic experience: World Wide Treking Tours masterfully led my trekking experience to the Mt. Everest Base Camp and Mt. Everest region with an extraordinary team of guides and Sherpas. The trip immediately started with the best hospitality, accommodations, transportation and guided tours to the city of Kathmandu (for cultural awareness and education of the region) and team leadership from day one. Everything was on schedule, which included meals, team movements, thorough equipment inspection, daily medical checks and detailed team briefings. The hotels were 4 and 5 star sites in Kathmandu. Once we were on the trek, we stayed at tea houses, and they were great experiences in the wilderness environment. You get to meet people from across the world with common goals, but different reasons for why they traveled there. It’s such an eye opening, rewarding, and unforgettable experience. WWT’s secret sauce is the professionalism, knowledge and coaching of the WWT team. Not only were they pros, they were personalized, and ensured that my experience was maximized to the hilt. It was simply incredible - period. I’m not easily impressed. Being from a high-level tactical background, and also having very good strategic understanding of customer service, they had the optimal blend of both worlds in an enchanting, but potentially dangerous environment. Their staff were top notch. Their aim is to keep you safe and provide and unforgettable experience all in one. We had the opportunity to sit side by side with a wide array of large trekking organizations along the way, and the care, treatment and professionalism, stood head and shoulders above all of them. Other trekkers vocally stated they were not receiving the same guidance, treatment and care that WWT provided. It was clear to see. Meaning, everything from packing lists to preparation, prior training and communications prior to even landing in Nepal. Understand, this dialogue came from people from across the world who shared their stories with me. It was cool to hear that I picked the right company. I picked this company through extensive research and the fact that they give back to the local communities of which they have a large frequent foot print, through the “Human Outreach Project.” In addition, it was the medical piece that really swayed me, along with the owner’s availability and being down to earth and real. The safety measures and briefings included a renown Harvard medical doctor who specialized wilderness medicine and was a NASA consultant. The intersection was the altitudes and the negative effects that could occur if you did respect the precautions of proper acclimatization procedures in the region. This was very helpful and stark. The Sherpas were fully prepared with medical equipment for altitude decompression and other medical adjuncts.WWT did not cut any corners. Another major factor of WWT Treking experience in terms of securing our teams success was the pace and acclimatization process. We maintain a good pace for daily objectives, however, there was no rush and extra days built in for acclimatization which was responsible for our success. Other people that I came across with other companies were telling me personally, they wish they had more time to acclimatize so they did not experience some of the physical side effects and fatigue from moving too fast, and not having rest/training days. In addition, I was told it diminished their experience. All of our trekking team completed the EBC trek and two of us chose to climb Mt. Lobouche, a 20,075 ft peak, me being on of them. The leadership and guidance was second to none, and note, I saw blatantly bad guidance on that expedition to Mt. Lobouche. From the beginning to the end, WWT was a class act. I am willing to share my experiences about the company, the staff, the owner, and his personal touches with those who are interested in traveling with this company. I am planning future explorations with WWT in the future. They have earned my trust. That ain’t easy. That’s a technical term :) Floyd E. Wiley Jr.

Fantastic experience: This was the trip of a lifetime! To have the opportunity to travel with such a great group of Veterans, climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, and spread the message to other Veterans " NEVER STOP FIGHTING " was an honor. And I did it with my son! Thank you WWT for everything. You were ' First Class ' all the way!

Fantastic experience: Had a fabulous trip to India and Bhutan arranged fully by World Wide Trekking. From the greeting at the airport to the handshakes and hugs with our guides at the end of the 8 days, it could not have been a better experience!! All the details were taken care of including hotels, transportation, private guides, admission to all the forts, temples and attractions and special requests we had for artwork and shopping. My boys and I were fully immersed in the culture, history, flora and fauna of these beautiful countries. We learned so much and had a super relaxing adventure. This was our first trip with WWT but it definitely won’t be our last. I give them my highest recommendation!

Fantastic experience: I just participated in their Everest Base Camp trek and summited Lobuche as an add-on. I could write volumes on the fantastic job that they did throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them based on my experience. Pre-departure I got all the information that I needed. Their preparation videos and tips were spot-on and helped me feel comfortable with my preparation. Any questions I had were quickly answered over email. On the trek itself their staff were knowledgeable and always looking for ways to improve my experience. I really appreciated their focus on safety, but also their flexibility when things didn't work out according to plan (like flight delays at Lukla). Their choice of tea houses and hotels before and after the trek were great. Their planning accounted for appropriate rest, climatization, and the work of getting where we needed to go. I finished with the feeling that I was part of a larger family with friendships that will last far beyond the trek. I will definitely use them again.

Arranged a driver, hotel, and found a way to get my bags to me 2 days up the mountain. We saw a lot of trekking companies and guides out there but no one had a better set up than WWT. Worth every penny and more.

Fantastic experience: I just want to take a minute to thank and congratulate World Wide Treking on the fabulous trek/climb they took us on in Peru in late August. We took the Salkantay Route to Michu Piccu. First off Jill/Oliva & Dean took care of every detail and questions before we began our trip. Bruce at Harr Travel and Jill did a great job of setting up our flights even when we had to make changes in route. Our guide Joseph Rivas was the best. He is a great guide and an all-around good man! He took care of every detail while we were in Peru. He assembled a great team of chefs, horesemen and driver. To make sure that every detail for our trip was taken care of above and beyond. Joseph also showed us the culture and people of Peru along with the history of the country and the INCA Civilization. We went on many side trips that were outstanding while we were in Cusco, the Sacred Valley and while we were deep into the trail. Camping up at 14,600 feet just below two monster mountains I will never forget and we were the only ones there because of Joseph and his team's planning. He also did the most important thing which was lead us on every step (literally) of the trek. I recommend highly taking the Salkantay Trek with World Wide. It is a long difficult climb at times but it is very doable with the correct gear and attitude. World Wide did a great job helping prepare us and Joseph and his team had the best attitude possible so you could not help following them up and down the mountains. I will contract with World Wide in the future. In fact we are going next year in late June with World Wide to Kilimanjaro. Thankful, Steve Durhman

Fantastic experience: We had a fabulous and challenging tour in Iceland. We went places most tourists never see and experienced Iceland in a way that even some residents never have access to. WWT took care of all the details and went the extra mile when necessary to give us the best experience possible.

Fantastic experience: Our Kilimanjaro Trek was INCREDIBLE!!!!! Amazing experience with professional staff to walk us through each and every step. The guides were incredible, and the whole experience felt super bougie despite camping for 7 days! Staff that made incredible food, set up tents and a table and chairs for us to enjoy each meal, provided our group with our own toilet tents, and carried hot tea up the mountain on summit night to help warm our frozen bodies! Forever grateful for the experience and those that made it possible. We ended the trip with a 4 day safari which included some cultural experiences...truly remarkable.

I had done considerable research on outfitters, and after seeing the other outfitters on the trail, I am pleased I selected WWT. The service was impeccable, from the assistance in the office before and after the trip to the level of attention Dean and the Nepal team gave to make your experience nothing less than incredible! It may not be something you think about, but World Wide Trekking thinks of everything. Something as little as bringing condiments! Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic trip put together by WWTrekking. We did 6-days of hiking and exploring in Northern Greece. Great hikes, fantastic guides who were well versed in both the terrain and the history. Christina, our prime guide was amazing! We explored historical sites in between some amazing hiking in the mountains of Greece. Would highly recommend the trek to anyone love both history and the outdoors.

Fantastic experience: Kilimanjaro - the ultimate trek for part-time adventurers like myself. I have trekked all over the world including in the Indian Himalayas, but nothing has matched the challenge and experience of Kilimanjaro. The altitude alone is daunting (19,341 ft.) but add to that the trail intensity and going through five climate zones and you end up with something that will take you beyond yourself. It is at these times you need folks like Dean and his crew to help you fill the ability void. Never have I experienced such a professional group. They are experts on Kilimanjaro, and most importantly, they are a part of the Tanzanian culture. The guides, porters, and attendants are well cared for and treated with respect. This attitude is reciprocated by them being kind and compassionate to you. World Wide Trekking also has the philosophy to leave the places of adventure better than when they came. The Human Outreach Project is a prime example of this philosophy in action. So, with World Wide Trekking, all the boxes were checked: challenging trek, climbing a mountain, knowledgeable staff, supportive staff, and caring for the people who welcomed us to their land.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate enough to experience the Everest Base Camp trek provided by World Wide Trekking. I cannot say enough positive things about the experience, as it was a highlight of a lifetime of travel experiences. Dean Cardinale and his crew of Sherpa guides provided first class service and were extremely adaptable to specific individual needs along the trek. Everything about the trek was exactly as advertised on the WWT website. Our group stayed in the best hotels in Kathmandu and tea houses along the way. The cultural tours of Kathmandu were a perfect way to begin our trip. Dean’s extensive guiding experience helped us identify the magnificent Himalayan Mountains, learn about Buddhist culture and safely acclimatize to the high altitude as we trekked toward EBC. Our group successfully traveled to EBC where we witnessed the amazing sight of a camp filled with teams hoping to summit Everest. To add to the wonderful experience WWT gives back to the communities in which they travel through the Human Outreach Project. Our group toured the new medical clinic in Pheriche sponsored by HOP and the Himalayan Rescue Association. I intend to travel with WWT Trekking again in the future.

We made a mistake of underestimating a transport time, and during the middle of the night arrangements were made to pick us up and get us where we needed to be so we wouldn't miss any experiences that were planned in the alps. This was above and beyond and made us feel safe and cared for. On the trek, the guides were so knowledgeable and interactive, the whole experience exceeded our expectations.
