Fantastic experience: The Africa Trip was a once in a lifetime. Jana put together an amazing trip for a very reasonable price. The group of people that traveled together were so nice and we had a great time. The safari was over the top we were treated so special. They get a 5 star plus. All accommodations were very nice and the daily plan and balance of free time and group time was great. Things came up along the way and Jana took care of them. By the end of the trip we were calling her mom. I have 4 more trips with the travel agency and will continue to use them for every trip. The group trips are so nice. It is great to have a travel agent with you to take care of anything that comes up. This trip is by far a trip of a lifetime.

Positive experience: Our short vacation to Vegas had its ups and downs! Our “ villa” was very neat, clean but missing its pool! All we could see out our windows was the concrete hull of one being installed! We had reserved a one bed king size unit, but received a 2 bedroom 2 bath instead! We still had a wonderful adventure !

Negative experience: This was my second(and last) trip planned through BonVoyage, and what a terrible experience this was start to finish. Every step of the way was difficult. I would call it more of a travel booker, not a travel agent. I booked a trip almost a year in advance and for whatever reason still couldn't get direct flights except out of Chicago with frontier charter flights. So Opted with Delta, ATW to MSP to Cancun with the reverse on the way back. At times I felt it was just as easy to google search flights to find more options. I ended up with over a 2 hour layover in MSP. There was a flight that was almost an hour earlier that was available, but instead I just wasted an hour. THEN on the way back arriving back into MSP we only ended up about an 1.25hr layover because Cancun Airport it chaos. Something I would have thought a travel agent would know. AND we had no instructions on how to deal with customs and baggage for the connection flight. I had to SPRINT through the airport to try to catch that flight. Here was the worst part. Throughout the process of the inclusive resort, I had watched youtube and tiktok videos to get more information than what I was able to get through the agent, I was under the impression the room came stocked with alcohol (it was a high end room), so I requested that a certain type be in the room. I was then CC'd on an email saying that I gave off "alcoholic vibes" because I had to request over and over for the certain type and could never get a straight answer after months of asking. Every step of the way I felt I had to be initiating communication about things like flight times, amenities, and answers to the questions I had. And still couldn't get answers.

Fantastic experience: We experienced the trip of a lifetime traveling on a 14-day BonVoyage Boutique group tour (28 total) of New Zealand’s South Island. We appreciated traveling with Geoff (a Kiwi) and his wife Cindy, getting daily itinerary reminders, and insider tips to avoid any tourist bustle. Every day was well planned to bring us the best experience. As DIYers, traveling with a group was new for us and turned out to really enhance our travel. The hotels were marvelous: prime locations but away from the really congested areas, very clean, and lovely large breakfasts. Our schedule was a perfect balance giving us some freedom to explore each city. We loved that the planned excursions allowed us to be as active as we'd like with the hikes, funyaks, and even add-on bungee jumping. We are true converts and look forward to future trips. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I walked into Bon Voyage Boutique Travel in ✖ July 2024 to plan a winter getaway in 2025. Shauna greeted us and listened to our ideas. She asked questions of us. Shauna provided us with multiple vacation options. We picked one and tweaked it (staying longer). We asked to fly out of Appleton. She arranged a private transfer in Fort Lauderdale to Miami. (Both ways going on vacation and coming home). Prior to us leaving, we met with Shauna, she gave us a folder of our itinerary of our trip with all the flight information, transportation voucher/contact information, Resort information. Also suggested we complete the Mobile Passport App (MPA) to come back into the US. We had never heard of this and saved us waiting in a long line to get through customs. Shauna reached out to us a couple of times while traveling. We had NO hiccups on our vacation and enjoyed a relaxing stress free time. Fantastic experience: Shauna from Bon Voyage Travel worked with me to plan a wonderful family vacation in Turks & Caicos for 6 adults and 4 children. It was the first trip outside the country for our 4 grandchildren (ages 4-8) and first all inclusive. It was the BEST!! We had an ocean view villa for our group of 10 and the best part was we also had butler service. Going into the vacation, we didn’t know how amazing having butler service would be. It was the bomb!!! No waiting in line at restaurants, no getting up early to get chairs at the beach or by the pool, and we always had beverages and snacks in our villa. The grandkids got spoiled for their first all inclusive experience. Beaches Resort was a great choice and we made so many wonderful memories!

Fantastic experience: Last spring, I was looking to book an all-inclusive resort for my grandchildren, my children, and myself (4 kids, 5 adults). I had an extensive list of "must-haves" that led me to a lot of frustration in my search. I had recently received an email from Bon Voyage that told me that they had added a new agent (Shauna Neitzel) that specialized in all-inclusives in Mexico and the Caribbean - perfect! I contacted Shauna, provided her with my list of things I was looking for, and she said, "Okay - give me a few days to check things out, and I will get back to you." Well, after a few days, Shauna sent me a list of 7 options that fit our needs. She offered details about each resort, with flight options, and total cost. After a few emails back and forth with my questions, we (with Shauna's excellent guidance) decided on the Dreams Playa Mujeres resort. Shauna was excellent - holding our hands through the whole process. The deposit, the balance payment, the airline reservations, and a pre-trip itinerary package. We couldn't have been happier with our experience through Dreams, and with our experience with Shauna through Bon Voyage. I usually pride myself on doing a lot of travel planning myself, but I made a good call in asking Shauna for her help. I heartily recommend her and Bon Voyage. Happy travels!

Fantastic experience: My wife booked a trip to Iceland with some neighbors through this agency. We met every requirement and deadline, provided all our contact information, as requested. As the trip timeline drew nearer, we were concerned we had received no info about preparations, flights, accommodations, travel tips, etc. So we reached out to them and explained our concerns. They reassured us they had addressed the issues. Another 2 weeks transpires, and again, nothing. Keep in mind this was not an inexpensive trip. Another call 1 week before departure, they again reassured us issues were addressed. Well today (2/27/2024), my wife and I began receiving emails from the agency, however, my wife also received an email from our local tour guide in Iceland, yet I did not. Continued hit and miss. Very disappointing. International travel is decidedly more complex, however, agencies sponsoring trips must be on top of their game, and recovery from problem experiences must be immediate and effective. Well, our Iceland Trip is nearing completion. I feel it is only fair to update this (my) review. First, all communication issues we initially experienced were fully and very effectively resolved by Bon Voyage. ♥️ 2nd, our Tour Guide, Vilim (Collette Travel), was absolutely outstanding. His knowledge base, was complemented with his incredible communication skills, sense of humor, and unsurpassed concern for our care, and compassion for ensuring our experience was complete, and ability to line up a stellar agenda for our trip. 3rd, through a bit of luck and timing, our weather for 95% of our trip was amazing and rare (much blue sky, sun, and nominal winds). It made for pleasant travel and amazing pictures/views of the sights and landscape. 4th, Bon Voyage successfully shepherded our group and created the environment via events, etc., where we really bonded, enjoyed each other's company, and became friends! To close, my expectations for this trip were fully realized, in large part, as a result of the efforts of Bon Voyage (Geoff, Cindy, and Kara). Additionally, I would like to recommend that anyone, new to travel or not, seriously consider Bon Voyage for your travel/trip needs. They demonstrate great insight and care of travel and their travel guests. Thank you Geoff, Cindy, and Kara for a great experience and for the many memories we will cherish moving Forward.

Fantastic experience: We recently got back from the most amazing getaway planned by Kara to the beautiful Punta Cana for our destination wedding at Breathless Resort and Spa! Everything about our trip went seamlessly from booking the trip itself, booking flights, and the private transport to and from the resort. On top of myself and my husband we brought along 50 guests that all received the same experience and treatment. Bon Voyage Boutique Travel truly treats you like family and takes the time to listen to your thoughts and plans for your trip! On top of planning that trip, Kara also helped with getting in contact with the wedding coordinator at the resort and helping get everything squared away for the wedding as well! Negative experience: Jana was very responsive and helpful for coordinating our trip. She provided us all the information we needed in order to be set and ready to go! I wish we would have recommended a better place. Honestly, the resort was not amazing. The food was good and we had fun on the excursions. They did not maintain the resort well (rooms were mostly clean, the buildings had many missing letters/chipped and broken stairs/smudges on walls/spilled drink spots on hallway ledges), there were no designated smoking locations so there was smoking everywhere (we don’t smoke so it was gross), it felt more spring break vibes than honeymoon vibes (not relaxing house music, American rap music), lots of party drinking (we don’t drink), language barriers (some servers knew what an iced tea was and I was able to have some but most had no idea and tried offering me Long Island iced tea or said they had no iced tea). We told them it was our honeymoon (we got married 4 months ago and brought our marriage license), and they told us they would do something special. We told them we didn’t drink so they would skip the champagne. They brought the most basic fruit plate to our room and called that a honeymoon surprise. It’s an all inclusive resort…if we wanted fruit, we would have ordered it. No chocolate, flowers or anything. Poor customer service, who said they had amazing customer service ratings online (probably because most people rating were all drinking and drink so they didn’t care about all the things we noticed). Overall, not a classy location (people were not very friendly as compared to a lot of other places we have been to). See attached non disclosure document their manager Adolfo tried to get us to sign.

Fantastic experience: Booked our trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with Jana at Bon Voyage Boutique Travel and we were so happy we did! We don’t travel very often so we were not up on all of the latest things that are required of you when you travel. Jana walked us through every step of the way and answered any and all questions we had. Jana was always ready and eager to help us any way she could. We even called her from Puerto Vallarta on a Sunday with some questions and she happily answered them for us! Our travel experience with Jana and Boutique Travel has been absolutely 5 star!!

Fantastic experience: Hard to imagine, but I had the wrong date on my calendar for a bucket list trip to Italy. I would've missed out on several days of the trip had Jana not called me ON A SATURDAY after I missed the first flight, rearranged my tix, and got me to the meetup with my group on time! What more can I say. 5 stars and all my bookings since, and all to come.

Fantastic experience: Jana planned the most perfect honeymoon for us this past November in Costa Rica. She took the time to understand our ideals in terms of location, food, hotels etc. She then presented us with amazing options and it was hard to select but everything was perfect. She made the itinerary manageable, selected two of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and setup private transportation so we didn’t have to stress at all. Fantastic experience: From October 16-29, 2022 we were on the American Cruise Line ship Symphony. As you know the Mississippi River is 30-40 feet low, the lowest the river has ever been in recorded history. The ship is beautiful. We loved sitting on our balcony to watch the world.
