Fantastic experience: The staff is both knowledgeable and exceptionally affable. I brought my Mom in to get her driver's license updated to a Real ID license. We did not have an appointment so they took us as a walk-in. The wait time was super short. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. Our experience was extremely pleasant.

They provide eager and dedicated support for an extensive list of automotive and travel related solutions; many you wouldn't expect until you check. Going here first saves a lot of time. The tow service pays for itself, and everything else is icing on the cake.

Positive experience: The staff is friendly and efficient. Despite it servicing all of lower CT, doesn't seem too busy. It is important to note that my credit cards were stolen here, admittedly due to my carelessness. Still, it's important you keep your wits about you and don't be fooled by this or Any other welcoming location...criminals are everywhere.

Fantastic experience: Travel agencies seem to be going out of style but booking an interesting trip on my own was very much overwhelming. I looked at a variety of travel agents but decided to give AAA a try because I have a membership. The agent was friendly and a good listener. I gave her the "essence" of what I was looking for in a vacation. She asked me some excellent questions and then validated the type of vacation I was looking for before giving me a few options with brochures in hand. I very quickly chose a Riverboat Cruise down the Mississippi from Memphis, TN to NOLA with a few extra nights at each end. It was overall an excellent experience both vacation and with AAA and the travel agent. Maybe I was lucky with the travel agent but I use AAA quite a bit from license renewal to car battery jump to passport photos and it has always been a positive and professional experience so I don't think it is luck. It seems like they hire, train and maintain good, experienced, smart and friendly people. The travel agent side of the business was really nice for me in today's do-it-yourself travel industry whixh I found to be overwhelming and anxiety invoking with so many choices and different prices all over the place for the same thing. They put it all together for me and made sense of the hodge podge of choices. I left feeling like I got the best prices and discounts on exactly what I was looking for with zero stress!

Fantastic experience: So helpful! Called for some info on an older Jeep and how to find a AAA certified mechanic. They were so helpful and answered all of my questions and didn’t make me feel like an idiot! Really nice office.

Positive experience: Very helpful and accommodating staff. Very friendly with our kids. Didn’t have the travel guide we wanted but was able to get it from the other branch office and they put it on hold for me. Was told I needed an international drivers license to rent a car in Switzerland, so I got it quickly from them. However it turned out we didn’t need it upon arrival so wasn’t really necessary. Will be using them for some upcoming travel plans though as they were helpful.

Fantastic experience: Most of the employees at the Westport location are helpful and courteous. However, the gentleman behind the counter - Steven was condescending. He rolled his eyes with each of my questions. He made a negative comment about my wallet, and as he recited the requirements to renew my license, he recited as if he was upset to have to say what he has said a thousand times - irritated as if it was my fault! Perhaps he should consider that he has been in his position too long. Move over and give the job to someone who understands the meaning of good customer service!

Fantastic experience: I waited less than two minutes to have my license renewed and the woman who assisted me was extremely courteous, efficient and friendly. I also stupidly left my checkbook there (which I never bring with me but was not sure if credit cards could be used for license renewals) and they called me the next morning to say that they had found it. My husband and I are fairly new AAA members, but after my positive experience at the Westport branch and seeing what they services they had to offer in addition to license renewals, I will definitely visit them in the future for travel planning, discount tickets, etc.

Fantastic experience: I didn't know that AAA did international travel and was pleasantly surprised to find that they can provide foreign currency, international drivers certification and foreign reservations. All transactions were handled quickly and in a courteous manner!

Fantastic experience: Rather than wait on a long line at the DMV office, I went to AAA in Westport, CT to renew my driver's license. The staff was helpful and the service was prompt. When I didn't like my first photo, the lady took another one which came out much better. I would gladly pay the $3 fee to them than to waste a couple of hours at the DMV. I was out the door in less than 15 minutes! I have since recommended this AAA office to everyone I know.

Negative experience: Usually service at this AAA office is immediate, friendly and efficient. This last visit I waited about 15 minutes or more while 3 or 4 people renewed their licence just to get movie theater tickets. When I inquired with the woman at the insurance desk if she could help me, her attitude could have been a bit more professional. Maybe she was annoyed because I wasn't the first person to ask her for help.

Positive experience: Broke down on a FLA highway not knowing where we were. Took about 45 minutes to talk to the AAA rep and my cell phone was almost out of power. She was great locating us with little info and finally found someone to rescue us-- smack in the middle of miles of closed highway due to a fatal accident ahead of us. Several hours later our hero came and he was great. We would have been there all night without AAA. So - hoped it didn't last as long as it did but the end result was all good. I give high scores to AAA. That's why I have it.

Positive experience: Went to AAA for passport photos. The shop was busy, but my wait was short. Service was courteous, effective and prompt. I also got information about getting a new driver's license -- the upgraded variety -- and about reducing costs on my AAA renewal. Overall, a productive visit and a good resource to have in town.

Fantastic experience: Time for a new license after 5 or 6 years, and going to AAA instead of the DMV office was so delightful. I was thinking, "It's worth the extra $2.50 fee" BUT guess what great news I found out there? Because I'm a AAA member, the cost is exactly the same as at the DMV without the long lines. And the cost is the same $12 per year if you get a license for 2 years ($24) or 6 years ($72), and I learned that from the nice woman in the Westport AAA office. I think AA has found a way to "build a better mousetrap".

Fantastic experience: Three weeks ago I went to the Westport AAA office to collect information on a trip to Canada our relatives visiting from Australia were planning to do. I arrived 15 minutes to closing but the lady that served me had all the time in the world for me. Not only did she prepare a triptek for me but also created two maps, one for me and one for our visitors, so that we could meet on their trip back from Toronto in the Fingerlakes. She was first-class in her friendly and helpful assistance. i live in Darien, and although Stamford might be a little closer, I have found the service and staff in Westport so much more helpful and eager to help members. Fantastic experience: I recently (Aug 2014) stopped into the Westport branch to pick up tickets for Six Flags New England. There was a small line but it moved quickly. The amount I saved on the amusement park tickets almost paid for my entire membership renewal. You would be amazed how much you can save with AAA membership. I don't mean saving money on things you don't need; I mean saving money on things you are planning to do anyway...that is what I call real savings. Spending money to save is not saving anything! With AAA you get real discounts and you have emergency road service in case you need it. I don't normally need it because my insurance company provides the service.

Got there at 12:30 on a Saturday, was helped immediately and was out the door 5 minutes before their 1pm closing. If you are a member renewal is free, but they do charge a 3 dollar fee for non-members. The 3 bucks is certainly worth it. They didn't even hassle me about not having my renewal application. Fast, courteous and very helpful. I will never use the DMV for renewal again!

Positive experience: I arrived at 4:45 and was able to leave before closing at 5 p.m. with my International Driver's License. It is a busy place and there were still other customers waiting, so I felt doubly fortunate that I was in and out successfully. People are often tied up on the phone, so what looks like three people helping customers may only be two who are available, but I was greeted and treated politely.

Fantastic experience: I renewed my Driver's license in about 10 minutes flat! This included the processing of a Verified License. A regular license probably would have taken 5 minutes or less. I walked out of the Norwalk DMV the day before because of the long lines.
