Fantastic experience: Karen was incredibly knowledgeable about the whole Disney experience. If you don't think you need an experienced travel agent, trust me... you do. Her advice on resort recommendations, tickets, express passes, dining reservations, transportation, and deadlines was invaluable. I'm a busy working mom with no time to plan a Disney vacation. She made it so easy!

Fantastic experience: Camilla was amazing to work with! She helped us coordinate plans for 12 people in Disney, hotels, parks, dining, etc. she answered all of our questions and was so helpful!

Fantastic experience: Just got back from a long weekend at WDW! Specifically, EPCOT! Karen helped us plan a fund weekend for me and my girls, one of whom was celebrating her 21st Birthday! Karen was very thorough in the planning...we stayed at the Pop Century and used the Mears Shuttle to get to the resort/airport. Everything went smoothly...she even was able to get us a Mears discount when a promotion came up, the day before we left! Thank you, Karen, for a wonderful experience!

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic 8 days filled with universal studios and Portifino beautiful resort. Disney Magic pixie dust at Port New Orleans French Quarter along with a great dining plan, meal reservations , and of course the four parks. What made it all was our time with family and the endless help to bring magic to every experience by our Guru Disney Expert, Karen! I can guarantee this is the only way to plan an Orlando adventure. We started working with them in May asking for suggestions for a family of 19 over Thanksgiving week. They provided a lot of options for us to review and decided on Dreams Onyx in Punta Cana in DR. Fantastic experience: Kelly booked a fantastic River Cruise for us on Avalon Waterways down the Rhine River. It was the most amazing trip. We were in 4 countries and countless cities and only unpacked once. The Avalon crew could not do enough for us. Everything from the room, the food, the views and the guides were top notch. Fantastic experience: Kelly, Cruise to Alaska on NCL Bliss in July 2024 for 5 adults and three young children. Thank you for everything you did to set up this complicated trip. We also appreciate Camilla’s help to make last minute arrangements and make some corrections. I worried a lot in advance how everything would work out, but none of those came about. The Edgewater hotel was a perfect place to start the journey and everything flowed from there. The excursions came off flawlessly. The cancellation of the Icy Straits excursion was welcomed to give us a break while the young ones had fun going out on their own (and saving $1500!). The only unpleasant surprise was finding out the “free “ beverage package cost 750 dollars in gratuities for the 2 people who consumed alcoholic drinks less than once per day. Thankfully Camilla got that cancelled. The Norwegian Bliss was a beautiful ship that accommodated the adults very well. The young child care was lacking. The rainy weather limited use of the outdoor facilities on board. The guides on the three excursions were very personable and took us to places we couldn’t have found on our own. Our favorite was the Juneau glacier and whale watching. It exceeded our expectation.

Negative experience: We used Kelly Ortiz from Guru Travel for our travel agent. This was a huge trip for our family and friends. We were celebrating both of my daughters’ birthdays (16 & 18) and my husband and mine 20th wedding anniversary. We started planning this trip a year in advance. We were so excited! Unfortunately our travel agent, Kelly, made the experience leading up to it very difficult. We will never use Guru Travel again. Below is a summary of our experience with Kelly. When one of my friends went to book and asked about a lower deposit she said it’s something she doesn’t do often yet she did it for me and I know she’s done it multiple times for others that use her. I marked an email urgent because the week prior she stressed the urgency of booking. I wanted to make sure this got cleared up asap so friends and family could book. She came back and scolded me for marking it as urgent. (I have saved all correspondence) There was a deal on the resort for 60% off. I emailed her and asked her about it and so did my friends. She got back to my friends and said she couldn’t change it. She never responded to me Asked if she could do me a favor and call to get our rooms together (even tho not all booked thru her). She said no. While I understand as a travel agent she can only do this for her clients; however, she could have gone above and beyond and done it as a favor and put in the request. I emailed her about dinner reservations and she never responded. I followed up with her twice and never heard back. Then a friend who did not book with her received an email from resort and asked if she wanted to make reservations so we ended up making them that She passed me on to another travel agent and said I should work with her now because she was busy. The new travel agent introduced herself via email with the email titled “your trip to Mexico!” We were going to Punta Cana. New agent emails me and tells me final payment is now due 5/10 even though contract says 5/29. I had to send her contract. I told Kelly my payment would be two days late since that is when I get paid. She told me vendor may cancel my trip. Didn’t try to reassure me or say she’ll take care of it and it will be fine. It ended up being fine and not a problem for them to change the date. 5 days before our travel date Camilla, the new agent, got back to me about dinner reservations. Nobody ever got back to me or said they were following up. Now 5 days before she responds? I told her we took care of it ourselves. On Sunday July 7th Camilla said she’d send all the travel information over later that day (ie hotel information, transfers, etc.). We didn’t receive it until 7/9. I know for a fact Kelly has done special things when people are celebrating something. Like a certificate for a massage or champagne in the room..maybe a birthday sign. She did nothing for us. The customer service is just horrible at Guru. No friendliness or warmth. Very transactional. We had a great time in Punta Cana anyway but I really wish we would have used a different travel agent.

Fantastic experience: When deciding to go to Walt Disney World about 9 months ago I decided I would try to use a travel agent. To this day I am so glad I made that decision. I could have booked the entire trip myself and would have been very happy, as I love planning Disney trips. Yet not for one second have I been disappointed or thought I made the wrong decision. Karen R is a joy to work with and is one of the reasons I want to go back just so I can work with her again. If you been to WDW 20 times or never before you should use Guru Travel.

Fantastic experience: Kelly did an amazing job getting us set up in Mexico. The resort we stayed at was amazing; very accommodating, personable staff, answered any questions we had, DELICIOUS food. Kelly provided us with all of the proper documentation with details on how to find our rides, sign up for excursions, and what to do while we were there. She even made up some fun brochures for recommended things to do, like places to visit or what food or drinks to try within the facilities. So much fun! Thank you Kelly and the Guru Travel team.

Fantastic experience: We recently returned from our Spring Break trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, where we stayed at Dreams Flora Resort & Spa. During the planning process, Kelly provided multiple destination and resort options, all specifically chosen based on the ages of the family members, as well as activities we wanted to participate in. This resort was PERFECT! The communication did not stop once the vacation was booked, receiving information on resort amenities, airport transfers, what to pack, etc... We even received emails during our stay checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly. This trip was a long time coming, as we were initially supposed to vacation in March, 2023. Unfortunately, due to passport issues, we were forced to cancel. While Kelly was amazing at planning our Spring Break 2024, she was even more amazing and a life saver in helping to navigate through the cancellation of a year ago. I would recommend Guru Travel without hesitation, and will be working with Kelly and team to plan the next getaway!!

Fantastic experience: Kelly & Lexi were so helpful booking our 1st cruise. They were always available to answer all of our questions, and we had many. Kelly kept checking in with us up to and during our cruise to make sure we were doing well and if we had any other questions. I also received a text from Kelly while we were in the airport awaiting our flight home to let us know that our flight was delayed and told us an option for us to utilize the Hyatt at the airport instead of waiting in the airport. Top notch agency and customer service.

No question was too big or too small to get their help. I was even able to contact them while in Greece when I was unable to check in for my flight home and they took care of it for me. Fantastic experience: My husband and I just took the most amazing trip to Italy this past month. Susan Dossey put our whole itinerary together for us. She did everything from flights, private cars, trains, hotels and tours together for us. All we had to do was sit back and enjoy it all. She made the planning process so easy. While Globus provided an app for this trip, Kelly also provided a Trip Plans app that we found easier to use. I highly recommend Guru Travel and will definitely use Kelly for our future trips!

From start to finish they were always available for questions, help, etc. If a promotion came out that would affect your trip dates they made sure you knew about it which was amazing knowing I didn’t have to constantly check the Disney website for cost savings. Fantastic experience: Tina was great to work with! The thought of planning our first family trip to Disney World paired with a Disney Cruise was so overwhelming and Tina took the stress out of it all. She was super responsive and able to answer all my questions, and I had a lot! We had the most amazing family vacation. The Magic Kingdom was great, but the real magic was on the Disney Wish! We loved it so much, I wish we did a longer cruise than our 5 day cruise - there’s still so much more I wish we did on the ship… The ship was beautiful and huge, the food was great-went to different themed restaurants on the ship each night, and the shows were incredible—like Broadway productions of Aladdin and Little Mermaid. The kids loved the kids club, towards the end of the cruise, my 10yo was begging to go back to the kids club. And while they were in the kids clubs, we loved our adult time on the adult only decks. So many superheroes, princesses and Mickey, Minnie and the whole gang. And the fireworks at night were spectacular! Already thinking of our next Disney Cruise. Fantastic experience: Kelly and Lexi were an AMAZING team to work with! My fiance, now husband, and I were recommended to this group by a good friend of ours and they did not disappoint. Everything we wanted to include in our Hawaiian Honeymoon was there and everything Kelly and Lexi did was timely, organized, and set up very well. I loved them setting up airport shuttle transfers for us, in addition to the best excursions with such great hosts/tour guides in Hawaii. Could not recommend our Blue Hawaiian helicopter/road to Hanna ride that they set up, as well as the company they set us up with for whale watching. Their app they recommended we download also had everything included we needed- timelines, airplane tickets, shuttle information, and times for when our excursions began and where to go. My husband and I cannot wait to use Guru Travel for another trip, hopefully Hawaii again soon!

Negative experience: Our vacation package was reasonably priced and we had a wonderful time mostly due to our own planning. Our travel agent didn’t book our advance dining plans or inform us that they should be made 60 days prior to the trip. By the grace of god I was able to get a character dining experience by paying for “mouse watcher” and various other sites. We requested numerous times to be linked to our family and a note included with the hotel that we be put near one another - none of which was on record at the hotel. We linked ourselves ultimately and made the request when checking in at the front desk. We also waited for over an hour at the airport as our flight information was provided to the driver incorrectly. We didn’t receive our link to photo pass until several days into the trip and had already been using it/accessing our photos. For first time Disney goers celebrating our daughters birthday, it wasn’t as smooth sailing as using a travel agent should’ve been. Skip the hassle and book yourself - you’ll have to do all the research anyways. Join the Facebook groups for the resort you book for tips and tricks. A side note, the photo pass was not worth the money as there were no photographers in the character meets scheduled with genie plus or lightening lane. The resort was great, trip was fun, but much more work on the back end than expected based on what was offered as part of the “package”.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Kelly (Owner of Guru Travel) by family members who have also been using her to plan vacations for several years. To date I have planned almost half a dozen vacation with Kelly and all of them have been great experiences. If you have never been to a destination you are interested in traveling to, most likely Kelly and her team have an experience there they can share. Most recently we just came back from a very large family vacation to Disney World. The trip was "magical" to say the least and Kelly definitely is an expert when it comes to Disney. Fantastic experience: We just arrived home from our first family trip to Disney World. I have been planning the trip for 2 years. It was originally cancelled due to Covid. I can honestly say that our trip was more than a dream come true. Everyone in our party had a phenomenal time. We had a few first timers and it had been many years since visiting for everyone else. We had a pool day planned and Kelly recommended a Cabana. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the pool and get out of the sun. The cabana came stocked with drinks and snacks. My mother needed a scooter and daughter a stroller. They set that up no problem and they were delivered to the resort before our arrival. The ladies at Guru Travel also gave airport transportation recommendations and booked our transfers for us. We felt like royalty when we arrived at our resort in a stretch limo. The list goes on and on about how fabulous the ladies at Guru travel are. From beginning to end Guru Travel has gone above and beyond to take the stress out of planning a vacation and allowed me to spend more time making memories with my family. This is now the third vacation (Mexico, Hawaii, Disney) Guru Travel has helped me plan and execute! These ladies know their stuff and have recommendations for any and every need and want you may have. Fantastic experience: Honestly - this was my very first time ever using a travel agent .... I have traveled a lot (Spain / Portugal / Thailand / Brazil / Denmark / ....etc.....) I have always just booked hotels and flights myself through various sites ...etc... However - Camilla was a game changer and she will be booking all of our vacations going forward! She arranged our honeymoon to Greece - and it was amazing, everything went smooth .. all the transfers to the hotel were pre-arranged ... the gentleman was waiting with a sign at every airport / and port waiting for us, taking us to our hotels.
