As I was there, I over heard them answering the phone to answer questions about the Bible or even to those who came in, and provide additional information to help you understand better. I would highly recommend going in at least once to check out the store and interact with the employees, even if you do not purchase anything. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: The most amazing experience one could ask for. Exclude the wide range of books, cute gifts and accessories, you will not find a more knowledgeable staff. Tim spent a tremendous amount of time helping me and my wife with questions I spent hours researching online. Cleared in what seemed like minutes. Could have easily spent the day there picking his brain. Truly a blessing. If you’re looking for a personal touch to your shopping needs there is no other store in Murfreesboro that will compare. I’ve spent hundreds at other stores with teenagers at the register with limited knowledge. This experience was priceless! I will NEVER shop from another retail or online store for any faith related material.

Fantastic experience: Glad we have a local family business like this in Murfreesboro. Went in to find a new study Bible and the gentleman working there helped point me to several different types of Bibles based on the translation I was looking for... Very knowledgeable! Also don't forget to check out their used selection too.. I picked up a Vines dictionary and a beautiful slimline KJV that just had a cover defect, both for about $10-15

Negative experience: My wife went in to pick up a KJV because of her issues with the NIV Bible. What we got was an unnecessary lecture on why she was wrong in a most condescending tone by Tim not to mention insulting her intelligence. At one time this would have been the only place we would have bought any Bibles. I nearly left our purchase on the counter and walked out with our money. This store needs to remember that an online purchase would have been more convenient from another source. We are believers in shopping local, but next time we will take our business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I have a Bible that is very dear to me. I set up the order in person to have my Bible rebound in a new cover with my first name on the front. The young man who assisted me said it would take about 4 to 6 weeks to get it done. The gentleman that I spoke with in person told me the same thing. I dropped off my Bible in August. After many phone calls to the store, been told how the older gentleman was sick on and off, he was out of the store, was told many things and now it's it's almost Thanksgiving and I am still waiting to hear back on what the status is for my Bible. I am not pleased with this at all. There should be training for the people who are at the store to do what the older gentleman does. Having just one person doing the orders and such is not helping. I want my Bible back. Update on my review on Salt & Pepper Christian Stores - I got my Bible back and it is beautiful. It is exactly what I wanted; has the red leather cover with my name on the front in the gold lettering. The gentleman that worked on it did a fantastic job. The time that it took was a bit long but seeing what all they did was well worth it. The store owner was the one I seen the day that I picked up my Bible. I tried to pay for the services as it did cost them to work on it but the owner wouldn't take any money. That certainly was a blessing. Because of how well my Bible was done, someone else noticed my Bible and we talked about how it was recovered/restored by this company through the Salt & Pepper Christian store. The company put in my Bible their information card, so the person took a picture of the info card so that they could get their Bible restored. Their Bible was missing pages. The company can replace missing pages and do whatever they need to do to restore those precious books that we treasure so much. Our Bible's, God's Word, is precious. When we find or receive a Bible that really ministers to our hearts and spirits, we want to keep them around for our lifetime. Give them a try. They have a lot of different colors of leather and many other options so that you can have what you want (close to it anyways). Give them a try.

Negative experience: Went in and picked out 2 bibles. One for my mom and one for my son. Tim was very helpful in helping me choose what I was looking for. Picked out a Bible cover for my mom as well. I explained to him these were both birthday gifts. I was told there was a few bibles to be imprinted in front of mine but he would mail them out in a few days. That was 3 weeks ago. Both birthdays have passed and the Bibles I bought and paid for are still waiting to be imprinted and shipped. I’ve called the store twice and spoken to someone else and still nothing. I chose to shop local instead of buying online but now I realize that was a mistake. Highly disappointed in the lack of service.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. They have a huge selection of Dvds, some hard to find, and a selection of $2 cds. AND..they even have a CD BurnBar, which Lifeway used to have. You can find alot of classic music cds going back to the 80s or further..a huge blessing if you missed out on cds which are no longer available. Its definitely worth a tour for browsing! Great gift ideas.

And wait till you try the music and movies center! Wow! Pick what you want to buy try it in store by song or movie and they burn it right then!
