AAA Roseville

Negative experience: One of their truck drivers nearly killed me on the road tonight. He pulled out of a gas station, turning left, without even looking to see if there were vehicles in the lane he was turning into. I swerved into the curb to avoid getting killed by him. It's been impossible to get in touch with AAA to tell them about their delinquent driver.

Positive experience: The in-person services and staff are lovely and helpful. But the AAA website says to call ahead to make sure the location offers the service you want, and yet the automated menu does not let you talk to a person. I tried to follow the automated voice's instructions to either leave a voicemail ("this mailbox is not accepting messages at this time") or get connected to the national office ("this call cannot be completed"). Neither option worked. Very frustrating.

Negative experience: tried calling three times and never spoke to anyone, every time I called I waited on hold for 10 minutes and was hung up on. I'm in need of roadside assistance. please hire more people who understand how to use a phone system and not hang up on clients waiting for assistance.

Fantastic experience: Had a question on IDP for travel and the gentleman I spoke to at this location was friendly and helpful throughout the call. I got my questions answered and am not dreading going into the office one bit. So warm & welcoming- thank you!

The lady I worked with was very kind and knowledgeable. Bonus: there’s a nice discount for members! I spent maybe 20 mins there and left with the document in hand. Thank you for efficient and thorough service!

Fantastic experience: Nice people but the online form shows that international drivers permits cost 20 dollars, and states that pictures can be taken at the site. They charged about 14 dollars if I recall to take the pictures. I think it would be helpful to include this information as a charge on the online form so people can bring the recommended photos instead of deciding to have them taken there.

Fantastic experience: My experience with getting an international driver's license was very good. I had downloaded the application ahead of time. I didn't have to wait very long to get my pictures taken and the staff were friendly and helpful. I also picked up a few paper maps for my trip. As mentioned, there is a nice discount for AAA members for the photos.

Negative experience: Been a AAA member for 31 years. Lived in Canada and up and down east coast. Now I am in the Midwest and had to stop at AAA in Roseville MN to get an international drivers license. The man at the front desk was beyond rude. Looked me up and down, never said hello - asked what I was there for- I said what I needed and he then proceeded to ask if my drivers licensed had holes punched in it? I said what are you implying? Asked if he was judging me by my looks. He left the room. And I had a lady come out who was very helpful. Thank you Michele for salvaging AAA of Roseville ‘s reputation. I can only give 2 stars on this because that man at the desk needs to go elsewhere and learn how to effectively treat and greet people . And do not give a promotion to the man either- it’s a hard lesson but soft skills are needed in any job.

Negative experience: After 50 years as an AAA member, I am giving up. Staffing of Roadside Assistance is so bad that the service effectively doesn’t exist. I had to wait almost two hours to get a battery jump on a warm August day. The people who came out were great but they are asked to cover an unreasonably large area with no back-up if things get busy.

Negative experience: I asked for hp with a trip. I was told they emailed it to us, twice. We never rec'd it. Very poor attention to us as customers.

Negative experience: My older mother has been a AAA member for 30 years. She is finally taking a long-awaited trip to Alaska. She had excitedly been talking about meeting with her older, female AAA agent to plan for weeks. After the meeting, she called me, crushed. My mom, who never complains, said the AAA agent rudely dismissed her after determining she was “wasting her time” because she didn’t want to purchase an expensive travel package. The agent implied my mom “should have known better.” The experience was shocking and disappointing. We encourage the agency to treat its member better.

Negative experience: First, I am Premium. I had to call 3 times and only once received a call back that I was being transferred to some one else. Highly recommend Brekke Travel or your own travel agent to assist with your needs. Too bad AAA

Fantastic experience: Needed an International License in a hurry ... showed up 20 minutes before closing ... And got all squared away! Photos free if you are an AAA member. And you leave with the completed document - No waiting for it in the mail. Friendly service too. Bonus: Bike lock spot directly outside. No specific bike rack, but a signpost conveniently situated right where it is needed. Yeah, I bicycled to the American Automobile Association office, because I'm goofy like that!

Negative experience: This club canceled a call on my wife, with the truck there... as I was doing what I was asked to do to pit her on my membership. The truck was there I was adding her as asked and they canceled the call. Classy... they don't care about people.

Fantastic experience: I locked the fobs to my company truck in the vehicle while unloading my bags at the home 2 suites by Hilton in Roseville. Jonathan was dispatched to my location to unlock my truck. He was friendly and professional. He had my truck open in less than 3 minutes and I was able to get on with my day with no delay thanks to his quick response and efficient service. Very well done!!

Negative experience: Only dealt them over the phone and they were absolutely terrible. I don't ever want to deal with such blatant incompetence again.

Negative experience: AAA is complete scam. Do not ever sign up for membership. If you do, you will pay for the membership and when you call for roadside assistance, none will come. You will have to arrange for your own tow truck and then attempt to get reimbursed by AAA for their non-existent service. When you attempt to cancel your membership and get a refund on the dues you paid for the non-existent service, they will not provide it. If I could give a negative star, I would.

Positive experience: Requested safe accommodations, but they said the motel must be safe because there are a group of them by the airport. After a quick research of reviews... Clearly an unsafe and dirty motel. Could have been a terrible situation. They need to be more invested in personal customer service and less of getting you off the phone.

Fantastic experience: Very excellent service from AAA for a super quick tow after I had a brake line rupture on I-94 while trying to knife into traffic. Luckily there was no collision and no one was hurt. I was able to limp into the old Sears parking lot where the AAA tow truck met me withing 10 minutes of calling AAA. Fantastic experience: we came here to do an international driver's license. Which they do provide as well as passport photos. This was a one-stop shop.

Positive experience: Went in for passport photos and that was done immediately for free. However, when I went to the passport office they wouldn't accept the photo. It was too washed out and light. Exposure on the camera was bad. I did leave them a message about it. Not a super friendly place.

Negative experience: Stay away from this place. Rude, unprofessional and the insurance prices are ridiculous. I went in for an auto insurance quote and was given a price that was triple what I was currently paying. When I told the agent that the price was outrageous he said to me, "Well, you must have bad credit." What?! He knew nothing about my credit history and in addition, I have a 800 FICO score which is hardly bad credit. Never received an apology for this guy's rude and unprofessional behavior.
