Panorama: Reviews
Negative experience: As an ex-employee i can say that this company is only interested in taking your money. The boast of the benefits you receive from them but we've all heard the stories of the headaches that RCI causes... Also ironic that they claim to have better benefits that Expedia for example and it makes it's employees book through that service.
Positive experience: Computer online only
Negative experience: Horrible service. Spoke to someone called Pat from Indianapolis and he basically said "Don't call here again, I dont care...just make sure you dont call here again". How sad is it that we have been costumers for over 22 years and this is how we are treated? I guess professionalism is out the window. I guess I will have to call BBB.
Fantastic experience: First day at work love it so far! Everyone's super nice and helpful! THANKS for making life changes easy!
Negative experience: Very poor. Limited information. Feels more like a commercial.
Negative experience: I have been a member of RCI since 2003. The exchange program was good until about a year ago. I've had a problem with my online account management. It won't list my week as available to deposit. The tech department has been trying for over a month to fix it. At this point, I can't exchange and plan a vacation. Also, I am unable to see what my week will exchange for. It's like giving your money to someone and only after that they tell you what you are able to buy. All my dues and fees are paid for the year, but the service is unusable. I'll have to contact the BBB soon.
Negative experience: This is scam 10,000$ and 250$ annually, and when I book a vacation I should pay fees which is about the same amount of the reservation.
Negative experience: BAD SERVICE! AFTER 25 YEARS! Talked to a vacation guide on 10\25\21 discussing a bonus week vacation to western Florida on 12\26\21 !!! Been waiting all year to book 45 days prior to the departure date is the RCI Rule! No worries the vacation guide said on 10]25\21 to call back November 4th! We called back on November 6th to book our dream vacation bonus week with the new guide informed us that our vacation bonus week has expired! seems like a scam RCI is now looking for us to exchange our 2023 weeks to receive another bonus vacation. The first vacation guide should have mentioned that our bonus week was expiring! Very up set with RCI and there vacation processes asking for money every time we call rather then helping us get to our vacation spot.
Fantastic experience: Corporate office are very nice.
Negative experience: RCI Vacation Exchange Company is not worth the extra money paid for their services. Whenever I have tried to call and have an issue resolved, I am limited to speaking to a call center "vacation planner" who does not have any other information than I do myself. Even when asked to be transferred to a supervisor, the situation is redundant and the transfer rarely occurs, as if they are not supposed to transfer callers. Also, The resort options are very limited, especially if you have a fixed vacation timeframe. Again, their lack of service is not worth the extra money you pay. My advice is to stay away from them and just book your own vacations. You will have more options, flexibility, and sanity.
Positive experience: Been member since 1992...
Fantastic experience: Very professional and great employees
Fantastic experience: Great Vacation opportunities, great offers and specials. The vacation advisors are very pleasant to work with!! I've been an RCI member for over 10 years, and had some great vacations/great memoried!
Negative experience: Internet site is horrible, never can navigate to a destination without it kicking back to the Home Screen. Going to sell it !
Negative experience: I believe RCI is the most dishonest business with no ethics whatsoever. I had made a one week early March 2021 booking for a Brazil vacation a year ago before we heard of Covid. I am certain that no one would be crazy enough to fly to Brazil in early March, not knowing whether the resort would be open or travelling there is even allowed or you would spend a week in quarantine instead of vacation. I called and requested cancellation. They refused to give me my money or time credit back. Instead, they asked me to pay more money to buy insurance. A few months ago, I had asked them to extend my weeks expiry date because, obviously, due to Covid, vacations were not possible in 2020. They refused that also. There should be a massive class action lawsuit against RCI. That is the only way these people would learn to provide honest customer relations.
Fantastic experience: What a fantastic place!!!!!
Fantastic experience: Hey, I LOVE the place...
Negative experience: We have been members of RCI for over 15 years but have noticed the level of service declining. We put in a cancellation request for a June trip to Fairfield Glade in Tennessee in April and did not receive a reply. So we called them today and unfortunately were advised that RCI was not refunding the entire amount, but were keeping 40%, which could be applied as a credit towards a future trip if booked by December 2020. This is assuming the refund policy doesn't change again. Based on the above, my advice is to stay away from RCI and look into Airbnb and other alternatives that memberships are not required. Membership in RCI does not provide privileges, only costs.
Negative experience: Definately not worth it!
Negative experience: We have been RCI members since 1997. We had to move our vacation at our home resort in Orlando (not during our week) due the Covid-19 uncertainty. We decided to stay near a beach. We had to pay $69 for insurance or lose 75% of our points, then we were charged another exchange fee. Very disappointing that RCI is not waiving some of their fees in these unprecedented times. (23 years we have paid our membership and maintenance fees on time and this is how we are treated.)
Negative experience: Work at a company nearby and was eating lunch outside at an empty picnic bench on their large company grounds. Their security guard chased me off and was very rude as well. Can’t imagine I would do business with them for vacations if they can’t even accommodate a lunch.
Negative experience: bad customer service.
Negative experience: The place is infested with bed bugs. They don't tell their employees. Don't work there
Fantastic experience: Great company, They take time to share knowledge. I see a lot of reviews about sales presentations however I was offered one from state fair and said no ! easy to do or walk away. Because RCI does not sale or buy they are a membership for people who own already or looking to buy most cases you were probably speaking to a sales agent that does not represent RCI since they don't buy or sale ? I was happy with my experiences but to each their own and just like anything study up to know what your looking at and the difference between a resort and hotel experience.
Negative experience: Stop calling me
Negative experience: I worked at this location and i can tell u I WOULD NEVER! buy a time share.
Negative experience: They hire meth and heroin addicts, so it's as simple as I wouldnt trust them.
Negative experience: Stayed at the Sheraton Buganvilias and was promised a 90 minute presentation which turned into 3.5 hours of stressful sales tactics. I'll never make that mistake again, and I'll never spend my money with RCI or any of it's affiliates.
Positive experience: Cordial environment
Negative experience: BUYER BEWARE.If I could give a ZERO to RCI I would .They pride themselves on being the biggest and best travel service and quite frankly they are the worst. I bought a Vacation Package including a cruise and the "consultant " who was to follow up on perks and air travel left the company. The end result is I missed out on air deals and additional perks available prior to final payment. I understand people leave but at least assign customers another TA to see the booking through. To compound the problem the person they had call me to follow up on my complaint was dumb as a box of rocks and had no idea about his company's own product offering
Negative experience: My very first experience with RCI I was terrible. I called myself booking a 3-day hotel stay for my husband's birthday in December we got put into the Magnuson hotel in Columbus on Route 161 the room was terrible. The imprint of someone's greasy head was on one side of the headboard. The sheets had hair and two cigarette burns and the multi stained duvet had cigarette burns as well. There was a large yellowish carpet stain that resembled bile by the bed and the hotel stunk. The asst manager was rude and told us that if we didn't like it we could leave and get our money back through Expedia. I told him I booked through RCI but he said Expedia made the reservation. After receiving an email to see if i enjoyed my experience, I sent an honest response. Someone by the name of Rebecca Gelowitz from Ice Enterprise responded on the same day we left the 1-star hotel and she promised to escalate the matter up. I haven't heard from anyone since even though I've reached out. Please reconsider depositing your points in RCI amd definitely check out hotels that you are referred to before you book. I thought that RCI would have the same 4star resorts that Wyndham has but the standards are not the same. You don't even know the organization you're working with. What was supposed to be a 3 day relaxing mini vacation for me and my husband turned into a one night horror stay at Motel Bates.
Negative experience: Not very good in all areas, save your money and book your own trips. Don't bother, just a mess of a company, sure to let you and your family down
Negative experience: I was charged 400.+ dollars to renew my membership, even though I never received an email or billing statement from the company. I was informed “ this happens often with other members”. The result! The loss of accumulated points, a reinstatement fee, and being told this is what we do going forward sorry for our mistake. All beware this is how they make their money and fob its members.
Fantastic experience: Nice place very friendly security greets you
Negative experience: Absolutely horrid business practices.
Fantastic experience: Nice location
Fantastic experience: Great place
Fantastic experience: Nice place
Fantastic experience: Great!
Positive experience: The staff is usually friendly and will educate you on timeshare exchanging. They offer nice tropical vacations too!
Negative experience: Edward Henderson
Fantastic experience: this place is awesome
