Negative experience: Absolute trash. Bring back the AAA that would tow you within 2 hours! Nowadays, it doesn't matter the season...it takes 5 friken days to get towed! Such garbage quality roadside service. Nothing like it use to be!!! We've been members for 10+ years, we won't be continuing service.

Positive experience: Don't bother leaving a message. It will never be returned. But once I spoke to someone about traveling, I was very happy with them. Clara stayed late to accommodate us and answered all of our questions and helped us so much.
Negative experience: The instructors are helpful and knowledgeable, but the structure of the scheduling for behind the wheel sessions is less than desirable. AAA has a wait period of 21 days between in each before you can schedule your next class. This seems to be excessive period between lessons and means my student will not complete the course for 8 months since they have 8 sessions needed! Additionally, the schedule is not open for you to schedule your session until late in the month (example: scheduled for December but no dates for January on the site). This makes it difficult to plan for other things. I would have gone with another driving program if I had known these things upfront.

Negative experience: Don't accept anything they tell you over the phone get absolutely everything emailed to you or in writing. Multimillion dollar company (AAA) denying me a minuscule reimbursement that was clearly promised over a recorded line after ghosting me for 8 months. When they finally got in touch with me, they did not apologize or provide a reason for their delay.
Negative experience: Worse roadside assistance I've ever had. Customer service would not let me cancel account and give short bullet point on why I needed to cancel and what could have avoided it. I called 5 times and the service got more unprofessional each time and they put me on hold for an hour before disconnecting call. 1. Data sharing system between AAA and driver's. 2. Ability to update or change towing company of customers who get forgotten or left stranded 3. Ability for customers to hand a view of what's going on is huge. You have zero view or info 4. Cancelling towing companies that create problems like greenslade. Which would have kept me as a customer today. 5. Being more careful hiring operators that will not make mistakes similar to not sending my information to the towing company.
Negative experience: I found out there is only 1 garage in Dane Cty affiliated with AAA. We called to get our van jumped in our garage, about 5 pm. He said he could maybe get to us by 3 am. Have been a member of AAA since 1976 & even worked for them for several months. But decided that since we hardly ever use it (our main car is an EV) to drop our membership.
Fantastic experience: I've been a long-time AAA'er and thought I'd leave a positive review. First off - common sense. I'm reading complaints that it took from 85 minutes to 3 hours to get a tow. Do you know what a 5 mile tow costs in most cities? Minimum $200 -$300. Your annual AAA membership less than $100 and is good for 3 tows annually. If you want Insta-tow - go and pay for it. Your wait depends on many factors. Triple A contracts with many vendors for towing. Some close up at 10 pm and are the only service in a 200 mile radius. If its the first snow of the year and ice storm, then many are in the ditch - you have to wait your turn. News flash!!! No tow truck is sitting and waiting for you to need help. They are busy. If you are driving out of state and break down, Triple A can be a lifesaver.

Negative experience: My 69 year old sister had to sleep in her car overnight in a 7-11 parking lot. AAA said they couldn’t do anything for her until the morning. Tow truck didn’t show until 9:30 the next morning.
Negative experience: My family has had to use our AAA membership 3 times in the last few weeks. We have been members for well over 20 years. All of us have had issues with extremely slow response time. My daughter-in-law was stranded with a broken-down vehicle on the side of the road in Milwaukee County over 3 hours waiting for a tow, my husband was broken down in Walworth County and waited over 5 hours for a tow and my son waited for a tow in Milwaukee County over 3 hours and no tow truck ever came. If AAA doesn't have enough tow services signed with them, they need to get more and probably pay them better. I have never had to wait this long for a AAA tow or service in all the years we have been members.
Negative experience: Pathetic service. We paid over $150 a year for several years for extended service and we will not be renewing. Unfortunately we could not get a refund for the unused portion for this year's membership after receiving pathetic service. I had a dead battery and called for a jump while out of state and had to wait more than 1.5 hours, make 3 calls and still got no help, this was in a city with plenty of towing services around and during business hours! I finally Googled towing service near me on my cell phone, called a service less than a mile from me and they were there in 10mn to give me a start. The previous call was when I ran out of gas downtown and got just about the same bad service. Not worth the money whatsoever.
Fantastic experience: I called AAA for maps, and Diane S. was over the top helpful in , not only mailing maps, but hotel stops, as well.
Negative experience: This is not my first time that I’ve experienced a terrible service with them. They’ve never been promising with their timing, especially when we requested for a tow when we absolutely cannot start the vehicle. Often when we called them. They said up to 85 minutes then nothing. Called them again, saying another 1-2 hours. Nothing again. Especially when we’re so close by to the big city and they have plenty of tow services around. So we ended up calling a different towing company that is not through AAA. They respond immediately and came in within 10-15 minutes. Don’t think I’ll ever use their service anymore, not after when they’re not promising with time with ZERO communication.

Fantastic experience: As for service calls I have made 3-4 calls in last 2 years. All calls in town ( Madison, WI) . Every time it was efficient. Yes, in general it takes about 45min, 1, 1.5 hrs.To expect faster than that is unfair. EVERY TIME, they give an idea of approx time, then they call when they are nearby, and then they handle the situation. Twice it was dead battery, once a flat tire and once a tow in town. I would give 4-5 stars for each time. Local office Very informative and courteous on the phone and in person. Their maps are great to have in the car.

Negative experience: Really wish I could leave a negative star review. Signed up for Triple AAA on Monday to fix a dead battery. That in itself was a review waiting to be written. What I am writing about today is a woman named Teresa, who repeatedly called me at least 6-7 times this week because she had "questions about my membership". I returned her call only to find out that she was trying to sell me insurance. Grrrrr. :( When, in frustration, I said "THIS is what you've been calling me about? You've called and left me 6 or 7 messages." Her rude reply? "NO I DIDN'T". Well.......Yes ya did, Teresa, I have them on my PHONE! After sitting on hold for over 1/2 hour, getting disconnected twice while trying to schedule service (because the app didn't work).. I would never purchase anything from this company. I wish I didn't need the Triple AAA roadside service, but it is a necessary evil.

Positive experience: I used the text to online chat and described that I needed a jump start and possibly a tow. The technician started my car and at that point, I determined it was not safe to drive that day. AAA said it was not AAA policy to cover tows for a car that called for a start if that car started. I was given the option to pay for the tow or drive it myself. That was why I gave three stars. The technician was wonderful and made my poor situation tolerable with technical knowledge, a can-do attitude, and a quick arrival on request.
Negative experience: I have road service from AAA and I’m in Madison Wisconsin, it took 2 hours to get a tow truck. Is incredible how bad the service from AAA is here.

Negative experience: AAA damaged my vehicle on a lockout call. Now I am stuck having to sue the contractor, who AAA hired, dispatched and arrived with an AAA logo on their truck for repairs. AAA will NOT HELP if your vehicle is damaged by one of their "contractors". AAA refuses to send someone out to view the damage expecting you to spend your afternoon collecting quotes from body shops, driving around for free. Find another alternative. AAA is not what it once was.

Fantastic experience: I locked my keys in my car so I called. The person I talked to on the phone was helpful, and John, the driver who came and helped me, was excellent. He was very nice, arrived sooner than expected, and quickly unlocked my car. Overall a very satisfying experience!

Fantastic experience: I am a top level AAA subscriber (use them occasionally) AND have homeowner and auto insurance with them. Their office is nearby so just popping in is very convenient.

Negative experience: Moved here from out of state. Tried to transfer my AAA account, and instead I ended up being charged double because they just duplicated it, instead of transferred. For fear of driving with no insurance, I paid both, and was only refunded half of what I should have been refunded. This has been incredibly frustrating. Now my online login to confirm my account is correct no longer works, so who knows if I'm actually insured or if AAA just took my money. Terrible customer service. I'm looking into other insurance options.

Negative experience: I have asked twice now for assistance with trip planning (same trip), maps and triptiks, etc. The first ask was never acted on and there was even no record of my request even though they claim to record the call for quality assurances. The second attempt had the same result. The agent was very apologetic and assured me they would get me the info immediately. Again I've waited ten days and NO product or even a call to advise me of a delay or reason for a delay. Were it not for wanting to have roadside coverage I would discontinue my membership, and in fact may still seek alternatives. I'm VERY disappointed at being treated this way
