Fantastic experience: Went diving with Stuart Scuba this Monday on a wreck and then went to the Breakers reef -after our one hour surface time before the second dive. This is a well run operation, both Jeff and Ben are true professionals they know their stuff tokeep you safe, and explain things well. The captain of the ship also was excellent in not only his driving the boat, but also explaining all the safety issues aboard the boat prior to departing. Felt safe the whole time and with professionals that would Keep us safe! We saw lots of fish, one huge turtle sleeping, a manta ray, a leopard ray, two large goliath grouper. dozens of barracuda on the Wreck. The reef had big schools of mangrove snapper, grunt, lots of tropical fish - butterfly fish blue tang Queen, angel , French angels, grey angels. And a small school of squid which are quite unusual. Recommend diving with Stuart Scuba 100%.

You basically got the Greatest Hits of the Atlantic—a sleeping sea turtle (adorable), a manta ray, leopard ray, Goliath groupers, and a surprise squid squad? That's some National Geographic-level diving right there!

Fantastic experience: I'm from the landlocked Midwest and was visiting the area for a wedding. I was hoping to do my check off dives between the festivities. I did some research and settled on Stuart Scuba. The owners, Benjamin and Nikki, were understanding and went above and beyond to make sure I had a fantastic experience. Benjamin has an extensive and diverse diving background. He is passionate about his work and loves to teach. He pointed out all kinds of creatures which I would have overlooked and he taught me a lot of helpful information about diving. I learned so much and had a great diving experience. Fantastic experience: We just finished our second west Palm beach run with Stuart Scuba and we’ll never dive with anyone else! If you like to dive with smaller groups as we do, look no further. The crew is personable and attentive, full of great people. We were lucky to have Christopher, Benjamin, and Matt with us for our dives. They are all clearly passionate about the sport and take great care of their divers- drinks, snacks, carrying heavy gear, and good jokes. Saw some absolutely beautiful reefs and critters. Benjamin knows the intricacies of each site well and gives great briefings about what creatures you’ll see where. When things go a bit sideways, they’re always very caring. They treated my husband’s sea urchin sting quickly and effectively, and I watched the crew be very gentle with a distraught seasick teenager. Don’t forget to stop up at the shop too- they got me a GREAT deal on my atomic regulator and integrated octopus. We cannot wait to dive with yall again and wish the crew flat seas and more beautiful dives!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been diving 50 years, instructor trainer and USCG licensed Captain. I moved to the Stuart area 9 years ago and already knew the reputation Stuart Scuba had. I’ve been on their boats, gotten all my fills, bought tanks, regulators and dive computers from them. I had my regulators and tanks serviced there. Friendly employees and owners and excellent all around. They have also recently added events at the shop featuring speakers and previews of dive travel. Well done Stuart Scuba!

Fantastic experience: We had fantastic boat dives with Stuart Scuba on Father’s Day. The owner Benjamin personally reached out to me and comped us some nitrox tanks for an issue we encountered with the shop last year when it was under different ownership/management. The boat was spacious and clean. our captain was funny, kind and safe. Our dive guide Christina was really nice and did a great job going slow and pointing out things. We only had 5 divers following her so it was a nice small group and she did a great job making sure we got our max dive time (sending up divers who had less air and staying with us until we reached the captain mandated max bottom time). We saw a lot during those 2 dives, including a lemon shark, 7 loggerheads and a huge sting ray.

Fantastic experience: I took an Advanced Nitrox course with the shop owner, Ben Hadfield, and had a great time. I haven't taken a scuba class in quite some time, so it was interesting to get back into a classroom setting. One thing I really liked about this course specifically and how Ben personalized it for us was that he catered to our specific use cases. I do a very specific kind of diving, and I was interested in gaining knowledge that specifically pertained to what I would be doing. Ben illustrated the physics concepts as well as the studies that exist to give me a better knowledge base around the type of diving I will carry out. I'd recommend this shop to anyone in this area, if I were local I would be proud to call it my shop.

Negative experience: This place is the epitome of eeck, they used to be second worst place when Palm Beach SCUBA was still operating illegally, so now Stuart SCUBA is back at the top. The staff are incredibly rude, not only to their own passengers, but others in the marina, low class professionalism at its finest. It's also a hot wonder they haven't killed someone at their shop at their fill station, it's a cowboy run operation, it's only a matter of time before their card is pulled, just because you haven't reported an incident doesn't mean you're a safe operation. I've witnessed 80% O2 botles being filled at rapid rates never before seen at other stations (if you know, you know) and, as luck would have it, the mix wasn't even correct to afterwards, so not only was the tank filled at such a rapid rate it posed danger to themselves and others around them, they couldn't get the mix right and it took numerous attempts until I ran out of time and just took it elsewhere, drained it, and refilled with an accurate mix at a more professional operation in Riviera Beach, a complete waste of money. New "owners" are just a reflection of the business as it is, but with a sprinkle of advanced stupid on top, just ask around how the owner was told, numerous times, never to take anything from the Blue Heron Bridge and, wouldn't you know, they did anyways and put the stupidity on full display online only to be visited by FWC for their blatant ignorance, but alas, they did nothing except take the animals back from them with a slap on the hand, but it goes to show their arrogance, when told numerous times not to do something, they'll do it anyways. Even if you don't book with them, you'll notice how unprofessional and trashy they behave towards others in the marina, truly the worst operation in Palm Beach County. I get customers asking for guided dives and I steer each and every one of them away from Stuart Scuba and onto the other, more professional, boats and stores, you should steer yourself away from their filthy boat and unprofessional operation, you're spoiled for choice here in Palm Beach County, so why go on this boat or use this shop. Edit: to address the issue with "it's a personal attack" is ludicrous at best. We have given you plenty of chances but the operation is just blows it each time, especially the arrogant and rude staff in the boats.

We’re happy to offer a full refund on any product you feel did not meet your expectations, along with complimentary fills to make up for the challenges you experienced. Our goal is to ensure every customer feels heard and valued, and we’d appreciate the chance to make things right.
Stuart Scuba maintains one of the best safety records in South Florida, with no incidents in years. Our fill station uses a 7-filter system—well above industry standards (Standard is 1 filter)—and we conduct third-party commercial air analysis every six months to ensure air quality and safety. In addition, every tank is checked with the customer before leaving to confirm accuracy and satisfaction. Further, our owners are fully certified and accredited fill station instructors in Air, Nitrox, and Trimix and hold to very tight standards.
Regarding your comments about our team, we take pride in fostering positive relationships with other dive operations in the marina. Our staff regularly assists other crews, and we’ve both taken on and referred guests to other boats to support the diving community. While we’re always working to improve, we’ve also taken recent steps to strengthen our culture by letting go of individuals who did not reflect our values of kindness and professionalism.
The situation involving the Blue Heron Bridge was addressed directly and transparently with the proper authorities in 2024. We’ve learned from that event and have implemented new policies to ensure it won’t be repeated.
It’s unfortunate that this review includes all inaccurate claims, and it does feel more like a personal attack than constructive criticism. That said, we are always open to honest dialogue. If you’ve had a negative experience, our managers and owner are happy to speak directly with you to understand and resolve any concerns.

Positive experience: My initial experience with Stuart Scuba was frustrating—there was a lot of miscommunication and disorganization. I was sent to the wrong location and had to carry all my gear twice, which was especially disappointing since I had traveled a long way specifically for this dive. That said, I really appreciate the way management responded after I shared my concerns. They took full responsibility, reached out personally, and offered a complimentary trip as a gesture of goodwill. Their follow-up was professional, sincere, and showed a genuine effort to make things right. I’m hopeful that next time the experience will reflect the high standards they are clearly working toward. Fantastic experience: Not enough great things I can say about Stuart Scuba. Any staff member you speak to has a wealth of knowledge on anything dive related. Donna and Nick were amazing instructors for my open water! I also got all my gear at the shop all the staff and the owner were SO accommodating on making sure I got exactly what felt comfortable for me. Lastly, the dive charter was AMAZING! Negative experience: Their boat employee at Riviera Beach ran me down with the cart of scuba tanks at the marina. I was checking in at a neighboring dive boat, NOT blocking the pathway. I was facing away from him and had no idea he was coming. The guy at the last moment said "beep beep" and proceeded to hit me (painfully) on the back of my leg with the cart. I called him out on it, telling him I didn't appreciate that he ran into me and hurt me. He told me that "you all need to stop standing the way." I told him he shouldn't be ok with injuring people. He then told me I "should be more courteous." There was ABSOLUTELY sufficient room for him to not hit me. This was ABSOLUTELY ON PURPOSE. Listen, he's lucky I wasn't more injured, because I absolutely would have pressed charges and pursued legal action against Stuart Scuba. My livelihood depends on my physical condition and he could have easily sidelined me from providing for my family. This employee represents Stuart Scuba and I can tell you I will NEVER have anything to do with this shop or crew. Absolutely abhorrent attitude and behavior.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we’re truly sorry to hear about your experience. Your safety and comfort — whether you’re diving with us or simply sharing the dock — matter deeply to us. We understand how upsetting and painful this situation must have been, and we sincerely apologize for how it was handled.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I needed some underwater time. No boats were scheduled a week out and they put the trips together and took great care of us and our gear that had sat unused for too long. We saw 3 different species of sharks in 5 dives including our first ever Hammerhead (2) encounters.

Fantastic experience: I'm not sure there are enough characters in google reviews to say enough nice things about Stuart SCUBA. They are a fantastic dive shop with top experts for instructors and an amazing boat crew. If you enjoy diving, dive here. If you don't dive, get certified with Stuart, hobbies are great and this one of the best. I had the pleasure of earning my certification with Ben who is one of the most knowledgeable people I've met. I really appreciate how he went above and beyond the course material so that I didn't "just learn what I needed to pass", but getting into the material to better innately understand "why". Negative experience: This is perhaps the worst service I've ever experienced from a dive shop. Another place I was going to dive with cancelled and refunded me, so I called Stuart scuba to see if they were going to go out and they assured me they would. We went out, then the captain turned around right before we were about to jump in the water. The conditions were not even as bad as they were the previous day. To make matters worse, the company is REFUSING TO REFUND ME. This should be common practice for any dive shop that cancels dives. I've called them 10 times the last 3 days asking for my money back, and they keep making vague excuses and saying the owner isn't there. This is an obvious lie, they are clearly just trying to take my money and not have any accountability. The captain of their boat was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. When I first got to their boat to check it was the right place, the boat Captain looked at me and scoffed said "What do you want?" and "if you're a diver, where is your gear, buddy?" I was scouting to make sure I was at the right boat. For the staff of a diving agency to treat one of their clients this way left me appalled and flabbergasted. I will say, the instructor "Su'' is a decently nice person, but I am still quite frustrated with her for falsely assuring me that the boat would go out and hanging up on me the day before when I wanted to call to cancel. The boat of this dive shop isn't even in Stuart, it was in Riviera Beach, which is 45 mins away. If you're diving out of Stuart, I much highly recommend going to a dive center in Jupiter.

Negative experience: We dove with Stuart Scuba yesterday. We have never dove before in the Stuart Florida area. We were told the dive was a lobster hunting dive. We did not want to hunt lobster but we were told that we would be dropped by reefs and that there would be plenty to see. We also were never told that we would be doing a drift dive. The first spot we were dropped at was not even a reef it was called the Sahara it was just a bunch of sand no reef no coral no fish. only 3 people found lobster even the seasoned divers did not like the spot. My kids and I tried to stay by the boat we didnt know we could drift. We stayed as close as we could swimming the whole time against the current not knowing that we could be picked up and that we were allowed to drift. it was exhausting the second dive was a reef dive which was much nicer but it was ringing and it was very bad lighting they were bringing up small lobster and lobster with eggs which they should not have taken. Today we were supposed to dive with them again. we arrived at 1:20 p.m. for a 1:30 departure and they had already left another dive boat in the area said they left at 1 p.m. so they basically left without us we have a receipt that said a 1:30 departure we called the shop and they were completely nasty to us. This was not my best diving experience and I have been diving since 1985. I would not recommend these guys there are far better more courteous dive shops out there they could have taken a minute to explain the nature of the dive to us they knew we were new people and we were not one of the regular click of divers that went out with them there was no dive briefing or safety briefing given and as I said before they never explained to us that it was a drift dive so we looked like a bunch of idiots trying to swim against the current because we were afraid to go too far away from the boat on the first dive.

Negative experience: Booked a dive for my 30th birthday. They neglected to tell us we were meeting at a different location and that we were leaving at 9:00 rather than the 10:00 he told me at booking. Needless to say we were very disappointed. They said someone would be giving me a call back to discuss a resolution further. After not hearing from them for 2 weeks I called back to see about my refund. The woman didn’t believe me, stating that everyone who works there knows to tell people when and where the dives depart from, as if I was making this whole thing up. So they gave me the wrong information and then called me a liar. Great customer service guys. Still waiting on my refund.
