Fantastic experience: Wonderful shop with caring staff that caters to all types of divers: young ones with wide eyes, older ones just starting out, and they even seem to always have a crusty one or two walking through the doors. Plenty of stuff is in stock to lust over, and they are also willing to put in a quick order to get what you want. I have used them for warranty issues, and have been taken care of every time. The staff there is deep and diverse (there's a whole bunch of people behind the scenes), so if it's basic OW cert, free diving, worldwide travel, or just a fun weekend trip to San Carlos, just ask.

Fantastic experience: Such an awesome dive shop! While taking 72Aquatic's freediving course, I decided to purchase fins, a weight belt, and neoprene socks. Tobi was our instructor for the course. He took the time to explain what equipment would work best as well as how to maintain them properly. The academic portion of the course was engaging and offered more in depth illustration on how our bodies respond to freediving which is fascinating. During our pool session, we were given comprehensive methods to safely practice with a buddy. There were also other freediving students working alongside of us who were prepping for a freediving trip to san diego! Tobi is a wonderful instructor who is not only knowledgable having traveled the world, but truly passionate about what he's doing. He and 72Aquatics are a great asset to the diving world.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish 72 Aquatics provided our family with first rate service. Tobi explained the steps to certification and ensured we had the proper equipment to fully enjoy scuba diving. 72 Aquatics stood behind their equipment ensuring everything fit comfortably. Instructor Bill kept class and pool dives lively with firsthand dive stories. We were hooked from the start! Our certification instructors Eric and Tim were also amazing. They were patient, well connected with the San Carlos community, knowledgeable and passionate about diving. Micro brew beer lovers won't want to miss out on Instructor Eric's Soldado IPA. We were also fortunate to be aboard the Ocean Spirit with Captain Ernesto and crew. We saw a whale breaching at a distance and raced with hundreds of dolphins in addition to scuba diving with sea lions. The hotel was excellent and located close to the marina and wonderful restaurants. We felt completely taken care of through the entire process. Our whole family (including 2 teenage boys) had an amazing time and would highly recommend 72 Aquatics. We look forward to diving with them in the future!

Fantastic experience: 72 Aquatics did a superb job training my family for Scuba certification. I highly recommend their services including purchasing equipment, acquiring thorough training and personalized assistance in completing the open water dives in San Carlos. Their staff are knowledgeable and very patient. If you are able, this is one of the best family bonding experiences one can achieve.

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely amazing experience from 72 aquatics getting my certification. All the way from my first day purchasing gear to going down to 60 feet I felt that all my questions had been answered and that I was being taken care of. All of the staff are wonderful and considerate. I would highly suggest 72 aquatics if you are looking to get certified.

Yes, you can buy off the net, but if you want something to fit right or work right, buy it there. You will not be disappointed. And the extended classes, first rate.

Positive experience: I had been considering SCUBA diving as a hobby for many years and I finally decided to become certified in the summer of 2012 as a 50th birthday present to myself. I asked a few acquaintances for advice regarding which shop to choose, they all said Desert Divers (now 72 Aquatics), and they were right. I enrolled in their SSI Open Water Diver course in August of that year, which was followed by my certification dive trip to San Carlos in September and then my first trip as a certified diver in October. Since then I have traveled to San Carlos for several more dive trips, including this past weekend, and have completed a few more specialty courses. My impression is that the cumulative knowledge and experience among the staff at 72 Aquatics is unmatched in Tucson. It is, consequently, the quality of the instruction and information I've received from them that has motivated me to remain affiliated over the years. They've always been right when it comes to questions about skills and advice on equipment and they've also been very accommodating when scheduling classes and opportunities for skills demonstration. I'm nearly finished with satisfying the requirements for SSI Master Diver Certification and, despite having recently moved away from Tucson, I will be relying on 72 Aquatics, as always, to guide me to successfully achieving my goal.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, very helpful. I am claustrophobic and wanted to learn to snorkel before going to Fiji and the Great Barrier Reef. They did an awesome job with lessons and getting the right equipment for us. I got a prescription glass in my mask with their assistance and that made a world of difference in my snorkeling experiences. I am now hooked on snorkeling.

Fantastic experience: I took the class from 76 aquatics and went down to San Carlos to get certified There was always a certified instructor taking us through all the requirements. They stayed with my wife for three days of diving and finally got her through all the requirements. I have since dived in Kawai and Maui and ready to purchase my own equipment, also hope to go on one of their dive trips they offer

Fantastic experience: Tobi was really great when we stopped in the other day to get me set up for my SSI open water certification classes. This store was recommended to me by my family member that lives in Tucson. I live in Scottsdale, so I will be traveling here to complete my certification and I normally wouldn't do this as there are many places in my area that offer the same thing. I can't wait! I already feel very optimistic for my class in August. Updated review to come! Review update 8/28/16: Just completed the class portion of my open water scuba training and it was awesome! I'm so happy I finally did it! They were super accommodating to my schedule since I would be coming down from Scottsdale and staying at a hotel do do these classes, so I ended up doing a double class on Thursday and finishing up the pool/classroom 3rd and 4th class on Sat/Sun. I had Chris for one of my classes and he was great-made the class fun (bc it was only me!) Debbie for the rest of the classes and pool training was absolutely awesome! I had anxiety about taking the mask off underwater and she really helped me through it. I did struggle with it the first day and still had trepidations about it. The second day I ended up conquering it!! I now feel very comfortable doing it, even though I'm not the fastest at it, I can do it multiple times with no issues! Debbie you rock!! Thank you so much! You really can tell every single person that works here truly loves their job and they take your training very very seriously. Crazy amount of cumulative dive experience in one place! Can't wait to go on a dive trip to finish my certification!
