Fantastic experience: Tamatha planned our Japan/South Korea trip from beginning to end, and it was AMAZING! It was everything we hoped it would be. We discovered many new places and things, and we learned so much about the culture of these countries. We will be booking with Audley again and asking specifically for Tamatha - highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: My mom and I just finished a bucket list adventure in Australia (her gift to me for a Big Number Birthday ;) and celebrating her birthday as well), coordinated by David LaPointe and his team of experts on the ground in Oz. We had a lot of particulars for him to handle in our two-week trip — from mobility issues (I can hike and snorkel, she can't walk quickly or without assistance) to international and domestic flights (9 flights in 18 days!). We had a WONDERFUL time!!! To start, David was right on top of everything, and it was amazing having multiple opportunities for emails, phone calls and video chats before we left, to make sure we knew what to expect and when we had to get things done (like our Australian visas via app). Although there were a few activities my mom had to modify or sit out, we pretty much knew when to expect them - and she had said she was okay with that from time to time, if it meant that I could do something amazing (like snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef while she sat on the catamaran or went out on the glass-bottomed boat). Our whole trip flowed seamlessly: we always knew exactly what came next, who was picking us up, who to call if we hit a snag, and what time we had to be ready to go. We even had one full day built in with nothing planned - and it was the perfect timing for a breather (and it was also in accommodations with a pool, kitchenette and washer/dryer!). The only small snafu was when we were scheduled for a tour at 2PM after getting in on a flight landing at 1:40 (no one on the team noticed the tight - okay, IMPOSSIBLE - connection) - but, fortunately, the tour company has an outpost at that resort, knew we hadn't made the tour, and were able to put us on the same tour the next day at the same time. Best of all, my mom and I made some irreplaceable memories together - full of things she was able to do and not feel like she was keeping a huge group of people back. Mobility issue-friendly tour of the Sydney Opera House? Tour of the Blue Mountains AND meeting a koala and a wallaby? Seeing sunrise AND sunset at Uluru? Visiting the rainforest AND the reef? Catching the "penguin parade" on Phillip Island? Oh yes, all of that and then some. Big props to Audley (and specifically David) for putting it together. I guarantee you, if you are clear with them on what you need and what you do and don't want (no driving ATVs for us, thanks!), you'll wind up with an incredible tour, vacation, or once-in-a-lifetime, check-it-off-the-bucket-list adventure. <3

Fantastic experience: Our recent family trip to Spain, which included two adults and three children aged 18, 13, and 10, organized through Audley was truly remarkable. This was our first experience with Audley, and we were thoroughly impressed by every aspect, from the seamless transportation and the expertise and personalities of the tour guides to the quality of the accommodations and the overall experience. The only bummer is that it’s raised the bar for our future family vacations. Now it's going to be tough to top this one!

Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful trip to Borneo through Audley! This was our first time using Audley and we loved it. Our travel consultant, Alix, designed an itinerary perfectly suited to our needs. Audley made sure every detail was looked after and it was first class. The hotels, guides and activities were great. Alix made sure we had plenty of opportunities to see wildlife during our visit and we came home with very full cameras -- orangutan, monkeys, crocodiles, elephants, rhino hornbills and many more. At Alix's recommendation, we added on stops to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur on the front/back ends and loved both. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We just returned from the most incredible trip to Sicily, and we owe it all to our phenomenal travel agent, Alix! Every detail of our itinerary was meticulously crafted to perfection. Alix M. understood exactly what kind of experience we were hoping for, and then delivered beyond our wildest expectations. The accommodations she selected were charming, perfectly located, and truly felt like a home away from home. The tours and excursions were thoughtfully chosen, giving us an authentic taste of Sicilian culture, history, and breathtaking landscapes. We explored ancient ruins, savored delicious local cuisine, and relaxed on stunning beaches – all seamlessly arranged. We particularly loved our time exploring the vibrant streets of Palermo, the historical beauty of Cefalù, and the awe-inspiring Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. We cannot recommend Alix M. highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Archaeologist's Dream – 2025 Egypt (Giza-Abu Simbel) *May 15-25th* Elite Boutique Hotel next to the pyramids Excellent service and rebranded within the first few moments to Mustafa and Fatima. We felt safe the whole time in every place. The guides were both knowledgeable and determined to provide the best experience possible as intuitive hosts. We felt the culture of service and compassion throughout our time traveling upriver from Cairo to Abu Simbel. I was personally blown away by the detailed explanations of the reliefs and descriptions of the countless artisan designed story panels and sculptures throughout the entire experience and fell in love with all the spirits and living people we encountered. While in Giza, Abdel the Egyptologist and our driver Muhamed were absolutely amazing. I specifically enjoyed riding the streets of Cairo and being in awe of the intricacies of daily travel here. Pedestrian games of “Frogger” was the best approximation provided by one of our reps that played out for us on a real-life stage. The sheer depth of culture here astonishes all who traverse the limitless thresholds within the city streets, temples, and tombs alike. Abdel’s depth of knowledge encompasses millennia of human culture and through him around each turn, all statues had a story to tell regardless of their inclusion in the official itinerary. It seemed that the magic would not cease no matter the length of time spent immersed amongst the friendly, courageous, strong, and resilient people. Transitioning to Luxor was like a dream for me complete with jasmine flowers presented as gifts from my lovely new friend Aya whilst enjoying the Nile bank view of the valley of the kings, queens, and nobles. As someone who gifts flowers often everywhere, the gift of appreciation and love overwhelmed. Our amazing guides Nermeen Milad and Abanoub in Luxor provided a rich experience and their awareness of our needs continued the great service we had come to know and love. I specifically enjoyed their joyful appreciation of my personality out of the many gifts bestowed. The amazing Luxor portion of this adventure was a tough one to leave behind, but the transport by road to Aswan was possibly my most favorite part of the entire experience. I love to immerse myself in cultures and this 5-hour/several stop trip really allowed for the feeling you want as you witness the day-to-day activities of the locals for miles in various landscapes and population zones. It may seem funny or even silly, but I loved the 335 or so speed humps along that part of the trip as that afforded the true feeling of an archeologist adventure experience. Arriving in Aswan, we were immediately greeted by our resort hotel Movenpick shining like a jewel on an island in the center of the Nile. The travel shifted to small boat only for the remaining few days to my amazement and surprise. The views during this leg of the journey were exquisite and overwhelming to a degree I had not felt previously. Our guide Nesreen really was a jewel herself and her rich knowledge and lifelong devotion to this area was immediately noticeable. Her heart and knowledge opened doors to some intense healing that I desperately needed and I felt immediately like family. Leaving Aswan was almost impossible, but we were whisked away to a series of flights that allowed us to visit my favorite temple of the entire itinerary in Abu Simbel. Nefertari and her temple filled me with an overwhelming sense of love, honor, and respect that has lasted months and seems to grow with each day instead of diminishing. Leaving again was painful as I fell in love while in Egypt with the river and culture. The experience left an indelible mark that will last my entire life and those with whom I share the stories and culminated in a reset of my entire system mind, body, spirit. Fantastic experience: My 11 member family just got back from an amazing trip to Siciy that was perfectly coordinated by Alix Macaluso at Audley travel. The trip invloved 4 branches of the family all coming from different parts of the NE. We all were coming and going on different flights out of different airports and then spending 10 days in 4 cities with guided tour at each location. We clearly needed help planning it as there was no way on earth we could have pulled it all toghether on our own. Alix handled it all perfectly and the trip went off without a hitch. We could not have been more happy and will use Alix and Audley again for sure.

Fantastic experience: Kristina customized our itinerary so perfectly. Our trip went smooth as butter, did not encounter any problems. We booked kind of last minute (only a few months before take off) and Im surprised at how great all the hotels we stayed at were on such short notice. She booked us perfectly near all the subways and scenic areas. Everything was mostly walkable. We very much enjoyed our experience. Fantastic experience: Just completed my first trip with Audley to Bali and Java. I chose Audley because I really liked the interview method of their regional travel expert Alix Macaluso. Besides having a ton of regional knowledge, she asked the right questions to gather interests in order to put together a fantastic custom itinerary for us. Audley's local partners in Bali and Java were great and we felt well cared for throughout the experience. I also liked our itinerary because it had the right balance of pre-planned activity with self-directed activity which allowed us to choose certain museums and restaurants. As a self proclaimed foodie the itinerary allowed me time to book several fabulous restaurants. I've also booked three additional trips with Audley and I am looking forward to all of them!

Fantastic experience: Another amazing custom family vacation in the books with the assistance of Eric Carnes at Audley Travel! We love that each trip we've taken with the help of a country specialist at Audley is carefully planned down to every detail, easily accessible on the Audley app. Working with Audley has become virtually effortless as they are able to reference past trips to see our family interests when building the next adventure. We absolutely love cultural food tours, historical tours with one-on-one guides, and anything related to boating (sunset sails, island hopping & cave tours etc.). So many beautiful memories have been created abroad with the help of Audley. We truly enjoyed the passion that Eric brought to the table when building our itinerary for Portugal and hope to work with him again, perhaps on a getaway to Greece in the future!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have used Audley three times over the last ten years (Peru, Croatia and Thailand), and have always had a fantastic experience. We just returned from our 14 day trip to Thailand with our three children and we had the time of our lives! It was so well thought out, and every transition was so seamless. Each accommodation was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Even the long car ride from Chiang Mai to Golden Triangle felt like a luxury, with a well-stocked van with wifi and plenty of stops. We loved getting such a wide range of cities and experiences throughout the trip- it felt like we covered a lot of ground. Everything about each resort was first class, from check in to checkout. The accommodations they chose were perfect for our family- we loved the activities (especially Thai boxing in Ko Samui, which we all tried!) the kids LOVED kids club and made new friends there, and we took advantage of the pool, the spa and the gym and tennis courts as well. Golden Triangle Anantara especially was a once in a lifetime experience, getting to enjoy the elephant sanctuary. The room was beautiful and the jungle bubble was truly incredible. We will never forget that. As usual, all of the guides were so interesting and informative, and we loved having some insight from a local into each place. I truly feel like I learned so much on this trip- everything from the Buddhist religion, to the opium industry, to the coffee industry, to the unusual fruit, to the local customs. That's always one of my favorite things about traveling with Audley, is the cultural experiences that really make you feel like a traveler, not a tourist. We recommend Audley to all of our family + friends!

Negative experience: Warning: Consider Alternatives to Audley Travel I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Audley Travel to forewarn others. My friend and I, residing in different states, sought a travel agency to simplify our trip planning. Unfortunately, Audley caused us significantly more work and frustration, both during planning and the trip itself, despite the premium cost. Key Issues Encountered: ~Poor Communication & Lack of Personalization: ~Inconsistent and delayed responses from our assigned travel advisor. ~Difficulty in establishing that we were two independent travelers, not a couple; Audley insisted on communicating only through one "contact person," creating unnecessary relay work. ~Our original advisor left and was replaced, as noted by other reviewers. ~Basic preferences were overlooked (e.g., booking us a double kayak instead of two singles, an E-bike tour with wine despite our non-drinking preference, and accommodations an hour away from our chosen destination without consultation). ~Lack of detailed information provided in advance for activities, preventing proper preparation. Flawed Itinerary & Planning Process: ~Access to the final itinerary was delayed until "a few months" before departure, hindering pre-trip review. ~The received itinerary contained significant errors: incorrect names on flights, hotels exceeding our requested comfort level, and unrequested activities. Subpar Transportation Services: ~Car service drivers were often unfamiliar with their vehicles, leading to unsafe driving (e.g., looking at onboard computers instead of the road, erratic speeds). ~Inability to communicate discomfort due to language barriers and driver behavior (loud radio, extreme climate control). ~We were once dropped off at the wrong hotel in the wrong city. ~Our return airport transfer was scheduled excessively early (3 AM pickup for a 30-minute drive to an airport that wasn't open for hours), resulting in prolonged waits. Impractical "Final" Itinerary Binder: ~Audley provides an elaborate, marketing-heavy binder that is impractical for travel. ~Information (flights, hotels, activities) was fragmented across sections, requiring us to manually sort and collate pages. ~Included irrelevant restaurant recommendations hours away from our lodging, while lacking local options. ~Even the "final" printed copy contained uncorrected mistakes. In summary, my experience with Audley Travel was one of extensive self-management and avoidable frustrations. I strongly recommend exploring other options or planning your trip independently to save both time and money.

Fantastic experience: Audley Travel was amazing from start to finish. Our trip came together quickly. We knew that we wanted to go to S Africa and experience a safari and all that the area had to offer. Our South African specialist, Thora, shared her first-hand experiences and helped shape a trip that balanced time, costs, and off-the-chart sites and adventures. We typically put together our own travel plans, but heading to South Africa was beyond our comfort range. With the help of Audley, we ended up seeing Cape Town, went on safari in Thorny Bush Preserve, and then on to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We encountered no issues on this trip!!! People picked us up when needed, flights were great, and the food and hotels were fabulous. Although there were zero issues, we felt very glad that there was a team available to help us if the need arose.

Fantastic experience: South Africa - Cape Town & Safari May 2025 Family Trip that was just amazing. Itinerary and accommodations were outstanding thanks to Thora Taylor at Audley Travel. Stayed at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel in Cape Town. Centrally located, large clean rooms, nice breakfast set up. Visited the Winelands, Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cape Peninsula. Many great restaurants. The safari setting was at the Timbavati Game Reserve, with lodging at Geiger's Camp. Referred to as a camp it is far from a rustic outpost. It consists of 5 very nice rooms/suites that include outdoor showers along with a private deck. There is also an Infiniti pool located on the main deck of the facility. The food and drink were fantastic. The staff could not have been nicer. Early and late afternoon drives out into the bush. Our guide and spotter Rudolf and Lot were the best! In between relaxed, read, played card games All of the above were recommended by Thora Taylor and Audley Travel.

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing trip to Japan thanks to Audley Travel and our rep, Adam Falk. He took time to listen to our requests, what interests we had, what we hoped to take out of this holiday.  Everything was beyond what we imagined, hotels were perfect and in good locations, the guides he had set up along the way provided information we never would have known if we did this completely on our own. The itinerary fit us perfect, from big city to small towns, gardens and temples. This is our second holiday with Audley, completely satisfied with the planning and service they provide, their reps are very knowledgeable, will definitely use again for future travels.

All the conversations we had with our travel agent, Adam, were so helpful and informative, and I feel like he really got to know us and what we wanted out of the trip. When we saw the final itinerary, it was PERFECT - just the right combination of everything that we'd asked for, and a few special additions that gave the trip some SPARKLE! Adam's abundant knowledge about Japan, his friendly nature, and his thoughtful planning made us feel like we really got the royal treatment. And all that preparation he did made the trip itself feel effortless - we could just enjoy and explore, with the knowledge that everything had been taken care of. The worst part of our trip was when it ended!! Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about our trip to Japan planned by Tamatha Frederick at Audley Travel. She listened carefully to what we wanted and came up with a plan that checked off all the boxes. Our stays at Tokyo, Matsumoto, Kaga Onsen, and Kyoto combined local-tour guides with time for us to explore on our own. We visited important not-to-be-missed places in Tokyo and Kyoto, but also were escorted to out-of-the-way spots that we never would have found on our own. Highlights were kintsugi (mending broken ceramics with gold) and a morning tour of the fish market in Tokyo, and a tea ceremony, a tour with Mike Hardy in Kyoto, and a rural visit to Lake Biwa to make motchi with a delightful couple in their house. The hotels Tamatha chose for us were great. The Kai Kaga in Kaga Onsen was perfect: with its hot spring waters and its traditional Japanese-style rooms. Mastering train travel on Japan's high-speed, punctual rail service was easy. Of course, a huge part of the trip was to experience the incredible hospitality and attentiveness of the Japanese people everywhere. Tamatha and Audley Travel deserve high praise for putting together our amazing trip.

Our Travel Specialist was Corinne Landry, who has spent time in Portugal and surrounding countries and has outstanding knowledge of the area. Our itinerary was developed to specifically address all the activities that we had described as things we loved: from wonderful food tours that focused on locally owned shops and eateries, to amazing tours of unique villages and locales led by incredibly knowledgeable and professional tour guides, to fantastic, boutique hotels that were optimally situated in cities or countryside. Fantastic experience: I have always booked my own travel arrangements in the past. We decided to use a travel agent for our recent trip to Portugal and I wasn't sure I would like giving control up. I quickly found out that using Audley Travel and specifically Eric Carnes as our agent was the best way to plan a trip. Eric was amazing. He listened to our requirements and requests and went over and above what I expect any travel agent to do to make our trip spectacular. We spent a lot of time speaking to Eric and making adjustments to the plans until it was exactly what we wanted. Eric worked with us diligently from start to finish and even changed our flight plans at the last minute (after the news about Newark Airport). The hotels we stayed at were great and upgraded us without asking. They were beautiful and had all of the amenities we needed. Eric set up tours in all of the cities we visited and they were spectacular. The guides were more than friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience: This was our first experience using a travel agent for an international trip. I found Audley on Instagram. After speaking to a consultant (Eric) we decided to put our faith in this company. We set a budget and quite honestly Eric was dedicated to our travel plans. We discussed, set itineraries, changed it a million times. As to the trip and choices Eric made in regard to hotels, transportation and tours, far exceeded what I was expecting. He booked us on private tours, hotels were all amazing, and transportation was flawless. We truly connected with Eric and virtually every aspect of our trip was discussed in detail. He had us on “ walking “ tours, which I had rejected. We discussed it and he convinced me to do them. So glad he did. We are retirees on a fixed travel budget. Audley is the place to go. And if you’re going to Portugal , Greece or Spain , Eric is your man.

Fantastic experience: I just returned from a trip to Thailand using Audley Travel and specifically Jack Tydeman, who is a specialist for travel in Southeast Asia. The whole trip, from the planning to the travel to and from Thailand, the excursions, the private guides, the resorts, everything was taken care of amazingly! It could not have been any smoother! Fantastic experience: Just back from Botswana our 5th trip with Audley. Everything worked out great the folks met us in Airport in Johannesburg to walk us to hotel. Fantastic experience: My wife, friends and I used Audley Travel's Lucy Celon to explore Iberia in Apr/May 2025 after a positive experience with Stephanie Buckland exploring China in 2017. Audley was able to get us into Beijing early when Turkey, in a temporary diplomatic tit for tat, cancelled all US tourist visas while we were in the air to Istanbul to begin our "Spice Road" exploration there. It was even more impressive because the CCP's big pow wow was going on and Beijing hotel rooms were full. Impressed, we returned to Audley for assistance exploring Spain and Portugal. Lucy Celon was instrumental in making the trip a success: smooth comfortable logistics with local partners and expert guides, personalized attention, skipped the lines, front row seats, etc. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Alix Macaluso of Audley Travel was a magician! She was charming, nimble, patient and creative in planning our heart-stopping trip to the rainforests of Borneo. Every aspect of her influence was felt and greatly appreciated from juggling our in-country travel arrangements with a pre-existing business trip to Singapore and Malaysia, to making suggestions and adjustments to meet our personal interests in Borneo. She was always available and lovely to work with throughout our journey. We consider ourselves very well-traveled, having been to over 100 countries and knowing that we want to continue active travel after 70. An organization like Audley is superb adjunct in providing insight, support, and access to facilitate rigorous, adventurous travel. The Borneo rainforest lodges are beautifully appointed in extremely remote areas with very skilled guides that give one an up close and extremely personal experience of the wildlife. Fantastic experience: Audley Travel was a pure joy to work with. I traveled to Portugal in early May and decided to use Audley Travel to facilitate my trip. I worked with Eric Carnes, who is an expert in travel to the Iberian Peninsula. Eric's expertise was very helpful in planning my trip. Additionally, he was very helpful as my trip proceeded, and he checked in with me periodically to make sure everything was moving smoothly. I did have a problem with a lost bag, which had nothing to do with Audley Travel, but Eric was quick to follow up with the airline and help me recover my bag. I had no other problems, but I felt confident that if I had, Eric and Audley Travel would have been there to help me. I had daily private tour guides who were very personable and were able to provide a tremendous amount of information. Eric also arranged transportation to and from the different locations, including the airport. Audley selected the hotels and did a great job, as the hotels were all very nice and in GREAT locations. Overall, I would recommend Audley Travel to anyone who is planning a trip.

Fantastic experience: We took a family trip to Morocco and Corinne did an amazing job offering suggestions, listening to what we wanted to do and set everything up. She got us an amazing driver (Shout out to Khalid!) who drove us around throughout the 10 days we were there. Highly recommend the Sahara sunset ride on the camels and some time at beach time in Essauoira, and exploring the markets of Marrakesh. Next time looking forward to Spain and Portugal!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic first experience with Audley ... and we'll surely plan more adventures with them. Our travel advisor, Joy Rhinehart, meticulously planned every conceivable detail of our five-week trek through South Korea and Japan--a very challenging feat given our timing at the height of Japan's extremely popular sakura (cherry blossom) season. She tailored absolutely everything to our tastes and predilection for independent travel--14 overnight stops, lodging (mostly boutique hotels, ryokans, places in great locations and with lots of character), private guides (some of the best we've ever met, and we learned they vie for Audley gigs, which is very telling indeed), transportation (bullet and express trains and private limos--clearly the best ways to get around both countries), sightseeing "must-sees," and even entertainment (including memorable geisha and kuboki shows). Being very independent travellers who spend about seven or eight months a year outside the States, we've always handled our own planning and logistics. Joy saved us literally weeks that we typically put into planning our longer trips, and she came up with an itinerary so perfectly curated for us. Even a couple of her suggestions that we initially resisted--like touring an organic farm in Amanonhashidate (neither an activity nor place we would have come up with on our own)--turned out to be trip highlights. So glad we followed her advice! Finally, throughout our entire trip, we knew Audley had our backs. Our one trip hiccup happened in South Korea on a day we were supposed to visit Andong on our way to Gyeongju. Huge forest wildfires threatened rail and road travel. Audley was clearly getting better intel about the fires than what we were getting on the ground in Seoul. Audley deftly rearranged our travel around Andong and adjusted our Gyeongju itinerary--absolutely flawless and seamless ... and to top it off, we got a call from Audley's London office (midnight their time) to make sure we were OK and happy. Wow! Hat's off to Joy and her Audley crew ... we'll be coming back to you for sure!

Fantastic experience: In advance of our actual trip, this note addresses Stephanie Mailhot at Audley for planning and support in creating the itinerary. Stephanie was outstanding. She incorporated every wish and personal preference of ours in developing our plan. She remained flexible as we evolved new thoughts and incorporated them. She has a lot of knowledge about our destination. She has been patient, friendly, understanding and supportive throughout. I would recommend her strongly for a Japan itinerary development and would contact her again.

Negative experience: I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. While our trip itself was enjoyable, I was disappointed in the planning and communication from our Audley Travel advisor. From the start, communication was inconsistent, responses were delayed, and details were often vague or missing. Several experiences could have been improved if more thoughtful questions had been asked up front. We weren’t given options that would have enhanced the trip—like extending key excursions or tailoring activities to our interests. Post-trip, there was no follow-up or effort to schedule a debrief, which added to the feeling of disconnect. For the amount we paid, I expected more attention to detail and personalized service. Ultimately, we felt we could have planned most of the trip ourselves with the same (or better) results. I don’t plan to use Audley again and would not recommend them based on this experience.

Fantastic experience: This was one of my best birthday celebrations due to the conscientious work of Eric Carnes. Eric spent several meticulously planning our trip that took us from the USA to Spain and Portugal. All we had to tell him was what our expectations and interests were and he did an excellent job meeting our needs. The locations, hotels and places of interests etc., could not have been better. I could write a book on Eric’s due diligence. However, I want end by saying Eric is very professional, respectful, a good listener and an epitome of who a good travel advisor/representative that others can emulate. Fantastic experience: My sister and I had a wonderful experience traveling with Audley to Portugal. Corinne did a great job putting together a varied itinerary that included a national park that no other travelers we talked to had even heard of. The hotels were all in great locations and had excellent customer service. When we encountered a small problem, we contacted Corinne who immediately corrected the problem. I also really liked the app that provided an overview of the daily itinerary and gave airlines updates as well. This was my first time using Audley and it was a great experience.

Fantastic experience: My family and I had an amazing trip to Spain. We had no problem or issues with the transporter, the tour guide etc. Everything was detailed planned and we enjoyed our trip with no issues. Eric did a great job in putting our trip together.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Audley Travel more highly. We worked with Corinne to plan our 10 day family trip to Morocco, and she was everything we hoped for: experienced, knowledgable, responsive, efficient and communicative. Once we were in country, we were so well taken care of by our wonderful driver and various city guides (all arranged by Audley), and by the staff in each of the carefully selected places we stayed. Corinne helped us add some custom details (hike in the Rif mountains, trip to a ceramics workshop, etc). The Audley app is useful and the pre-trip information and communication was reassuring and helpful. We've had two more sets of friends/family use Audley since our trip and each has reported the same level of satisfaction. We will definitely use them again for future travel. Fantastic experience: Audley (specifically Tamatha our travel agent) set our family up with the trip of a lifetime to Japan! Her ability to plan, visualize, and compile so many things for us to do really helped us make the most of our two weeks in Japan. We got to do just about everything that we wanted to as a family, and she even went above and beyond in helping us find a photographer for my proposal. I never felt like we were going on "Tamatha's Ideal Trip of Japan", it truly always felt like our ideal trip where we got to do everything we wanted to, and from day one Tamatha listened to our ideas - and guided us towards things we may not have ever thought of. We enjoyed all of the tours - and just as important - all of the tour guides that we were set up with. The people truly made the trip! I would recommend Tamatha to ANYONE that is trying to plan a trip to Japan. The whole planning experience was stress free and when I go back to Japan I will absolutely use Tamatha again. Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Australia which included a road trip in Tasmania. Anthony Vaglica with Audley Travel assisted and really orchestrated our trip based on our expressed interests and ideas. Their agents were attentive and responsive from the very first meeting and communication throughout the planning and actual trip was seamless. Fantastic experience: Audley Travel and Sean Wilson (Boston office) have done a fabulous job in arranging two 3-week wildlife trips to India, 2024 and 2025. We saw so many great animals and birds! Sean is Audley's India wildlife specialist and his extensive knowledge and experience are key to creating a perfect trip. In addition, it's a pleasure to work with him. Audley's India ground operator is organized and dependable, providing flawless service for all reservations, internal flights, airport pick-ups, and comfortable road travel with a private driver in air-conditioned vehicles complete with snacks and Wi-Fi. Sean's recommended accommodations were a highlight of the trips. From lovely safari camps to unique hotels to beautiful, luxury tents every choice was exactly right. All the food was fresh, delicious and safe to eat. Safe drinking water always available. On a scale of 1 to 10 these trips were an 11! We will definitely travel with Audley again.

My wife and I decided to spend part of our winter season in South America and settled on Chile. Friends of ours had used Audley Travel for a Japanese adventure so we thought we would give a try. Fantastic experience: I went to Portugal February 6 thru February 16 for a family wedding but figured since we were going for the wedding why not see the country, and that is where Audley travel came in. We contacted Audley travel and were matched with Eric Carnes. Eric asked us what we wanted to do and we gave him suggestions like tour Lisbon, cooking class, food tour, Porto, and wine country in the Douro valley to name a few. Eric came back with our sample itinerary that had everything we wanted to do. He took us from Lisbon to the Duro valley, to Loule ( where the wedding was) back to Lisbon. Fantastic experience: We recently returned from a 3 1/2 week trip to Hong Kong, Thailand and Laos. Thanks to the exceptional planning, recommendations and bookings of Jack Tydeman of Audley Travel, the vacation was a huge success. Every connection was smooth and on-time. They were so thorough with providing necessary information that we had very few questions to ask. Our hotel choices were perfect; our guides were not only friendly and highly knowledgeable but a joy to spend days with; drivers were always early to pick us up. If you are thinking about doing independent travel(with total support) think no further than Audley Travel and if you are considering Brazil, which you definitely should, talk with Meghan and/or Ana, the “rock stars” of the travel industry. Fantastic experience: We are just back from two incredible weeks away in Japan. Adam Falk at Audley curated our trip and did a masterful job, through and through. He truly listened to who we are- our pace, our interests, our lens- and put together an itinerary and accommodation package that went beyond our expectations. We ran, climbed, hiked, and ate our way through Japan, leaving us only with the desire to go back and do more. From our hotel stays, train itinerary, and ryokan experience, along with the insightful guided tours of UNESCO sites, culinary traditions, and visits to museums, gardens, and temples (all of which were unobtrusive, incredibly informative, and smartly timed)-- we have given ourselves and our children an experience that will forever stay with us. We were ruddered by the professionalism and care that was taken to plan this trip, which was evidenced by the little and not so little things; hotels knowing our minimal dietary restrictions; being greeted by representatives at the airport to get us to our hotel after a lonnnng flight; the WIFI device that kept us online and connected to google maps, awesome dining options, running routes, and climbing gyms; the shuttle pickup in Yudanaka from the ryokan (that was a delightful surprise!); and just knowing we could reach out to Audley's local folks in Japan and the guides, who gave us their numbers as well. Thank you, Adam, and thank you, Audley, you went beyond the pale and have earned our trust in travel! We are eminently grateful!

Fantastic experience: This was our first trip with Audley and after this experience it will be the travel agency we use to book our other trips. The ease in working with Adam and Jacqueline was great in figuring out the trip and where we might use a guide and just exploring on our own. The recommendations of places to go and visit was great, and we hit the majority of them and was great to see all the various things.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I wanted to see Japan, but not in a group of 40 chasing a tour guide with a flag. Adam and his team set up a custom itinerary just for us that hit all the things we wanted to do, the way we wanted to do them. Every detail was worked out and triple checked, so the trip went flawlessly. We were very impressed, had a great time, and would definitely use Audley again.

Fantastic experience: I recently came home from a trip to Morocco, planned by Corinne Landry at Audley. The trip was absolutely incredible!! We were so well taken care of by our driver (who stayed with us through the entire two weeks) and by the various guides who showed us their beautiful country. I don't think I can overstate the value of using a company like Audley which has people with deep, personal knowledge of the countries, properties, restaurants, and sites where they plan trips. Corinne met with us while planning the trip to ensure we were able to see all the things we were interested in. We receive a comprehensive binder of information before we left that detailed every day of our trip and provided recommendations for restaurants and other insider knowledge. We're already planning our next trip!

Negative experience: I’ve been on two trips with Audley. The first was lovely. The most recent was a negative experience from the start. The best help we got was when our contact was out of the office and we worked briefly with her manager. There are six sources of itineraries and you need to cross reference them to get info for any given activity. We were booked for the same tour twice under different experience names but caught it the day before. There were incorrect phone numbers for checking in to activities in advance. I emailed my specialist for support and she responded telling me to contact someone else without even helping to look up the phone number. Some itinerary times accounted for check in and some didn’t, so we never knew what time we were actually aiming for. Actual bookings were under different names making check in inconvenient without fail. The guidance on how to get to or from an activity, how to fit in time to eat, or what to do with luggage if it couldn’t come with us at parts was inconsistent or unclear at multiple points leading everyone to exhaustion and frustrating nights of figuring out what comes next. The photo is a really horrible camp bed that I stayed on as part of my stay (it was actually so bad I slept on the floor which was comparatively fine). So when they give you that excessive quote for your trip, imagine the camp bed before you decide on going with Audley.

Fantastic experience: Eric did an outstanding job helping us plan our trip to Portugal. Our guides were all excellent and attentive. He understood our need to have guidance and to explore on our own creating a perfect balance. Everything went off well without a hitch and we were able to enjoy a stress free vacation. Our itinerary was well thought out and suggestions for restaurants were terrific. I can highly Recommend this agency and will definitely have them help plan my next trip.

Fantastic experience: We recently returned from a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia and it was a trip of a lifetime. We had help from our region specialist Matthew who was very knowledgeable and suggested activities that we never would have thought of ourselves but that we are absolutely thrilled we had the opportunity to experience. Every activity was amazing from the street food blogger in Hanoi, the Vespa food tour in Saigon which was an incredible culinary experience and also satisfied our sense of adventure. The cultural experience of learning to throw traditional fish nets and seeing floating villages in Cambodia was enchanting. Matthew was encouraging and answered concern and questions we had promptly. All hotel accommodation were great to superior helping us recharge after our daily activities. Matthew was able to provide us with a diversified experience including the culture, amazing landscapes, history, people, and the food. All local drivers and guides were just amazing they enhanced the trip by sharing their knowledge about culture, recent and past history, and historical places. This was our second vacation we booked through Audley and we will definitely use them again. Definitely HIGHLY recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This was our first time to use Audley Travel and we were beyond pleased! We were lucky enough to be assigned to travel agent Eric Carnes and he went above and beyond in planning our Madrid/Barcelona trip. From video chats, to phone calls and emails, Eric truly listened and curated a trip to fit all of our needs and cover all we wanted to do (and more!). Another example of his going above and beyond: I tried to get reservations to a well-know/hard-to-get in restaurant in Madrid and was told they were totally booked the days we could go. I told Eric and he made a call and got us a reservation!!!! Now, that's service!!! I highly recommend Audley and, if traveling to Spain, request Eric Carnes!

Fantastic experience: Our Iberian specialist Eric Carnes orchestrated an itinerary that allowed us to experience Portugal and Spain in a way that we could never have put together on our own. Having Eric to do all of planning really paid off. He was on top of the details right from the start. He listened carefully to what we had in mind and came through with the ideal plan. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I just returned from our 12-day trip to Portugal planned by Corinne L. We never used Audley before, and I can honestly say we will never go without them again! We had an idea of the areas we wanted to cover in Portugal, but Corinne’s knowledge coupled with her ability to create our dream vacation and stay within our budget made Audley’s service indispensable. We had outstanding guides for our private tours, and Corinne’s suggestions beyond our tours were wonderful! The 5-course tasting menu at Herdade do Esporão was a not-to-be-missed experience, lunch in Olhão and a day in Tavira were all doable on our own. The hotels were waaaaay beyond our expectations. We loved being able to tour on our own in the morning and relax by the pool in the afternoon. And the food, everywhere we ate, was incredible, especially the restaurants suggested by Corinne. We won’t travel without Audley again, and if you haven’t tried their services, you really should!

Fantastic experience: I recently returned from a 14 day trip to South Africa with 7 family members. I planned this trip with Thora at Audley. She was fabulous, we had zoom meeting so all members could participate in planning. She crafted the trip from Cape Town, along the Garden route, ending at Amakala Private reserve. All our accommodations were outstanding. We had many tours planned with Audley partners that were so great. Our time was carefully planned and every thing went smoothly. Everyone had a great time. Such a memorable trip. I can't wait to plan our next adventure with Audley.

Fantastic experience: I have recently returned from a wonderful 3 week trip to Spain and Portugal, planned with the help of Corrine Landry. I had a general idea of where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do with my time, and Corrine patiently helped me tweak and perfect my vision. Because I am a solo traveler and fairly inexperienced traveling internationally, I am still a bit nervous and I relied heavily on Corrine's expert advise and the plans she made, which included the most amazing tour guides, personal drivers, hotels, etc. Every detail was planned out to perfection. I had no problems, but again, as I was a bit nervous, I reached out a few times to the local in country travel partners to confirm some of the arrangements, and each time, I received an immediate response. This is my second time planning a trip with Audley, and quite frankly, I cannot imagine taking another trip without them. In fact, Corrine and I have already started talking about my next trip. One of my guides in Spain told me that I was with a great travel company. I could not agree more!

Fantastic experience: I recently returned from a 3-week trip of Singapore & Indonesia (Yogyakarta, Borneo and Bali) tailor-made by Audley Travel. Every aspect of the trip was top notch: my region-specific advisor who helped me plan and organize t6he trip, all the airport transfers, private tours, boutique hotels and incredible excursions. I was able to experience the natural beauty of each area without the stress of crowds and group activities. Their choice of accommodations are excellent, providing a comfortable stay in the best location at every stop. Their service and knowledgeable tour guides was exceptional, our private tours allowed us to see the places at our pace and interests. Since I booked all the internal flights with them, cancelled flights were quickly re-booked through their local supplier (we had four out of our six flights of the trip cancelled within 24-48 hours each and they were promptly re-booked making sure we received the new booking information). This made our trip stress-free since they were always one-step ahead with the planning and follow through making us feel we had the best team in corner, watching over to make sure the trip went as planned. I had heard about Audley in 2019 and used them on a 10-day trip to South Africa. Were so pleased with their service and choice of hotels / excursions in that trip, that I organized this 3-week dream trip (originally supposed to be in June 2020 but got cancelled with the pandemic). Their level of service and knowledge is unmatched! Highly suggest them for a private and one-of-a-kind trip that you can adjust based on your interests. They have more than surpassed my expectations on both trips I have booked with them. Look forward to travelling again with them in the future.

Fantastic experience: I have used Audley Travel three times and have been thrilled with the arrangements they have made… from helping to create the itineraries; booking hotels that exceeded my expectations; hiring wonderful drivers and local private guides; and obtaining skip-the-line tickets for various sites. Their recommendations for local restaurants and suggestions for other activities are also helpful. I love that their agents are *so* well versed about the countries/places they assist with. Fantastic experience: Corinne L. is a rockstar! My boyfriend and I used Audley to plan a 2 week trip to Portugal in a very short timeframe and Corinne did an outstanding job! We didn't want our whole vacation planned for us, but we needed help with hotels, transportation, recommendations on food and activities as we traveled from Porto to Lisbon and then the Algarve. She covered it all, we didn't have to worry about transportation from airports, train stations, or hotels. Everything went exactly how our itinerary said it would and it really let us get the most out of our trip. Audley ensures you know what to expect, what to pack, what to do if something were to go wrong, ensuring you get the most out of your vacation. I can't say enough great things about our trip to Portugal.
