Fantastic experience: April planned our Honeymoon in Greece and it was so great. Our best adventure yet. She was very helpful from the beginning - giving suggestions on where we should go to help us figure out exactly what we wanted. She then took it from there and planned every single detail of the trip, and it went flawlessly. Everywhere we stayed was so great and we loved being able to explore around Greece without having to worry about our stays or setting up transportation. Fantastic experience: April recently planned our trip to Italy in June for our 20th wedding Anniversary. She handled all of the details for our flights, hotel, tours, and transportation, and her advice planning the trip was invaluable. Her recommendations on the hotel, tours, and day trips to Venice and Switzerland were spot on. The itinerary was carefully planned, detailed, and updated every step of the way. Her communication throughout the planning and during our trip was outstanding. When one of our local connecting flights was cancelled, it impacted the flight to Italy. Within minutes, she was notified by the airline, contacted us, and was able to rebook the flights. Fantastic experience: April Powers Travel is fantastic. We have had April plan multiple vacations for us. As a family (to include my daughter), as a couple, and as an extended family (to include my parents) all over the Europe and South America. She will have you fill out a questionnaire regarding preferences. Then you will have a phone meeting to go over an outline of a plan. She will always have you approve an itinerary. She will send your itinerary via both a hard copy and have an app you download. She is available 24 hours a day to help you make changes in real time. We have loved all her choices to hotels, adventures, and restaurants. I was always hesitant using a travel agency. Obviously, travel can be done cheaper. However, as my vacation time gets shorter, and my ability to research every destination in full and have faith in all vetted reviews (many are not verified) I have realized my time, effort, organization and satisfaction is worth some amount of money. When she delivers the itinerary I know it has been vetted and will be fantastic. And if there is a single problem she will fix and if she can't will get your money refunded. There is alot of stress with family travel. Let April help de-load some of your stress so you can enjoy your vacation! I will use April for all our vacations until she stops working.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I used April Powers Travel for our trip to Italy - Rome, Naples, Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi, and finally Florence. We had an incredible time! April thought of everything, and planned everything for us down to the last detail so we didn’t have to stress about how to get around in a foreign country or where hotels were situated in relation to historical attractions. We had private tour guides at April’s suggestion (which turned out to be the best decision) because we received much more in-depth information from the private guides, and we were really able to take our time and ask questions instead of rushing through historical sites. One day, last minute, we decided on our own to use a group guide to visit the Forum, and it was a terrible experience. We’re so glad we took April’s suggestion for private guides. April even planned our day trip to my grandfather’s tiny hometown, Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi which sits in the mountains. Since no trains run there, she got us a private driver and it was an amazing experience! The hotels were beautiful, the guides and drivers were exceptional. She even included restaurant suggestions and many other travel tips which were a genuine help. We highly recommend April Powers Travel!

Fantastic experience: We were looking for a travel professional to assist us in making a memorable trip to France. April Powers created the perfect two weeks for us in Paris, Normandy, and the Loire Valley. She has access to the best chateaus for incredible lodging, reservations at fantastic restaurants, and a network of knowledgeable local guides. Each step of the trip was well laid out and documented. Fantastic experience: April planned our trip to Switzerland and Austria. After getting our ideas about what we wanted (trains, walkability, adventure plus history) she laid out an incredibly detailed itinerary that covered every aspect of each day. All flights and connections were timed precisely, all trains worked smoothly, and the events included both things we had specifically asked for plus a couple of things we wouldn't have thought of. She was available 24/7 for any questions we had, and included cultural and logistical tips that really helped. We had a great time and would definitely travel with April again!

Fantastic experience: April planned an amazing trip to Italy for our anniversary and it couldn't have turned out better. She took the time to find out what kind of experience we were looking for and curated it to be the perfect combination of getting to see a lot but also having time to relax. For the most part the logistics of getting everywhere we needed to be worked out smoothly. When we had a minor issue she was immediately available to resolve it. Fantastic experience: I wanted a bucket list Hawaii vacation to celebrate our retirement and 40th Wedding Anniversary. I was so overwhelmed with options as I tried to plan it myself plus I wanted to bring our adult children and their significant others. I googled travel agents multiple times and April Powers kept coming up so I contacted her one morning. Instant success! We clicked and she was wonderful throughout the planning process, kept asking me questions about our travel styles and what the family liked to do and what kind of excursions we would like. The vacation was fabulous and out of this world! We spent 4 nights on Maui and 3 nights on Kauai with our kids and then went on to Honolulu for 2 nights before traveling home. The excursions she planned were wonderful plus we had free time to explore on our own and just take in the beauty of the islands. I can’t wait to plan my next trip with April Powers!

Fantastic experience: We worked with April to plan our honeymoon and she was so amazing to work with! We had to pivot last minute on our honeymoon plans due to things outside of our control (wildfires in Maui) and April handled everything with ease. She was honestly a lifesaver in that situation and we never would have been able to do it without her! She listened to what we wanted for our honeymoon experience and gave us multiple ideas to consider. We could tell by her recommendations that she really understood what we were looking for. She took care of booking everything for us (flights, hotel, rental car, etc), and she sent us a physical booklet with all of the information we needed for our trip (plus some personalized luggage tags which was a sweet surprise ) so we had everything we needed in one place which was super helpful! We had everything lined up months in advance and then less than 2 weeks before our honeymoon the wildfires in Maui happened and we had to make some quick decisions. April was so great helping us figure out what to do -- we decided to change our location to The Big Island and April was amazing with how quickly and efficiently she handled the transition! She was able to get us set up with similar accommodations, activities, and experiences on The Big Island so we didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. And we were still able to keep the same travel dates which was really important for us too. We never would have had the time to make all of those changes ourselves a week before our wedding, so April was absolutely vital in making it happen. On top of that, she was able to get us some extra perks at our hotel for access to breakfasts/snacks/lounge space every day of our stay. And she had a sweet surprise of chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and a nice note when we arrived. We had the most amazing time on our honeymoon and we would 100% recommend working with April for your travel plans and needs -- working with a travel agent like April was truly the best experience and the best decision we made!

The itinerary April made was super detailed, and the tips and restaurant recommendations she provided prior to our trip were all very helpful. Fantastic experience: I tried to locate a tropical place to vacation by surfing the internet. After 5 hours, I gave up. Based on reviews, I found April Powers Travel. She was a tremendous help locating a place to stay, guiding us through the process of traveling internationally and giving us tips on what we needed to know. We were able to have an oceanfront room and swim with the dolphins on the resort in Cancun. April answered all our questions and was very responsive. We highly recommend April and will request her services if we travel internationally again. I can’t thank her enough for helping to make our trip so special.

Fantastic experience: I’m a little delayed on this review. Our wedding was in August, and April Powers helped plan our Greece Honeymoon. She did an AMAZING job. She kept our interests in mind when booking our excursions. The hotels we stayed at in Athens and Santorini were exceptional! All the details of our trip and more were inside the pocket travel app and was super helpful while navigating through a foreign country we've never been to. Fantastic experience: This was my first time utilizing a travel agent. I read April's reviews online and decided to book through her. My family's experience to Puerto Rico was amazing! April kept in mind that I was traveling with my 4 year old son and suggested activities that were appropriate for my entire family. She made us aware of all travel requirements, prior to booking. Everything I asked of April, she delivered and she even checked in on me throughout my vacation. While we were on vacation, April contacted the transport services, to ensure that my child had a car seat...talk about attention to detail. April is very kind, understanding and professional. I know that I could not have booked such an amazing trip on a short notice (3 months) on my own. By the way, my hotel was phenomenal. This will not be my last time booking with April Powers Travel. My husband was hesitant to use a travel agent, at first. Now, he says we will forever utilize April. She really took the stress out of planning a vacation particularly during this COVID pandemic. I have not received any discounts and or promotions for this review.

Fantastic experience: I(65) traveled with my sister(61) and mother (87) with our ages. My mom had received a health scare that she needed to travel right away if she was going to go since she was just diagnosed with Leukemia. April pulled out all the stops and hurried within 1 week to book all of our trip to Italy and Spain. We had private cars to pick us up and drop us at the door since my mom couldn't walk much. We had the most excellent time. All of our plans worked well and we enjoyed ourselves. Mom was able to do an activity each day. April planned the perfect trip. We were 3 happy campers enjoying to get to spend time with our mom doing the activity we all love traveling to Europe. Professional: April figured out all the differing restrictions for 3 countries U.S., Italy, and Spain for Covid requirements. We were able to follow all of the differing restrictions to go and return home to the U.S. Responsive: April was available 24/7 during the trip if we had issues. We did have one transfer car and driver company that was having issues picking us up at our hotel. I called April on a Saturday and she called them and it was resolved.

Fantastic experience: We reached out to April after reading the reviews on Google. We were able to get an appointment within the same week. April called us to chat and asked thorough questions about what we were looking for in our trip. Within a day or two she had sent us three great options to review. She was very responsive to any questions we had - typically within the hour she would respond. Due to Covid, April kept us up-to-date with any travel requirements and restrictions, including any testing requirements and documentation. She also sent a list of useful tips before traveling and links/copies of all required paperwork for both exit/entry into US and our destination country. Thanks to all her thorough tips and support, all of our travel was so seamless and easy. We had everything we needed and were able to speed through the lines without filling anything additional out. She even checked in during our trip to make sure everything was great (it was). The resort we stayed at was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for! So each day while vacationing we are able to shut our brains down and recharge, while April has done all the work and laid it out in an easy to use convenient package. Fantastic experience: This woman works wonders! We went through April to book our honeymoon in October 2017. We were going to stay at the Galley Bay resort in Antigua, all expenses paid. She helped us book it and worked with us as we slowly paid it off because honeymoons like that are expensive! That summer 2 cat5 Hurricanes (I believe it was Irma and Harvey) hit Antigua. Our resort made it through the first one but after the second one hit we learned the resort was going to have to shut down for 6 months to do repairs. Well I was bummed because I had done my research and was really looking forward to that resort but when April called to deliver the news to me she already had a solution in place. St James Resort (also in Antigua) was offering their Royal Suites for the same price to Galley bay bookees who were having to change their plans. I was skeptical and went through a couple of options with her but she gave me pros and cons and really guided me to the right decision. All this to say, we had the time of our lives at the St James Resort. It was the honeymoon I could only dream about! It was beautiful, staff were above-and-beyond nice and super-helpful, and our room was phenomenal. All the things April told me they would be. We will be going back, because I couldn’t imagine a better vacation. When you are planning a wedding and worrying about all that goes along with that, you don’t want to have to think about the particulars that go along with air travel, transport from the airport to the resort, all the paperwork, etc. April handled all of that, Flawlessly. She even sent us a checklist and a packet with all the info we would need during the trip. We will use April again, I don’t know when because we don’t go on that many big trips, but when we do go back to Antigua, or when we do take a big anniversary trip, we will use April, because she was excellent.

Fantastic experience: Whenever my wife and I first started looking at possible destinations for our honeymoon we came across the Resort at Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas. This was our dream location for our honeymoon, and exactly what we wanted for our trip, however we thought it was out of our price range. A few months later we decided on contacting April to plan our honeymoon. She was very responsive and helpful and made us believe that she would help us plan out the exact trip we wanted. She sent us over a questionnaire that we worked on and after discussing the questionnaire and other details with her she was able to find an incredible deal for us at the resort of our dreams. This was despite the fact we thought we could never afford staying their! Throughout the rest of the planning process she was incredible helpful and figured out every detail for us making our trip so incredibly easy. She was always available to discuss any questions that we had, and before leaving for our trip she called to make sure we felt comfortable with everything. The transfer company that taxiied us back and forth to the airport in Mexico was unable to make a meeting on the 2nd day of our stay to confirm our return trip to the airport. Fantastic experience: The short version: After only one trip with April as our travel agent, my wife and I will never travel with anyone else. You couldn’t ask for a better travel agent! The long version: My wife and I booked our honeymoon with April. I was not so sure about travel agents as I had always booked my travel myself, but with so many honeymoon options, I decided to reach out to a few travel agents. From the onset of my interactions with April, I was thoroughly impressed with her professionalism, accessibility and promptness. She provided us with various travel packages that were within our budget and that gave us the honeymoon of our dreams — an ocean-front room with a tranquility tub at a Caribbean all-inclusive resort. A few weeks before our trip, April sent a package with all of our trip documents, a thorough list of helpful hints and to-dos before leaving for our trip, and customized luggage tags for my wife and me. Unfortunately, the package did not arrive due to a postal service mistake. However, April quickly assembled a new package and reordered another set of customized luggage tags at her own expense and insisted she deliver the package in person. This was a huge relief as I had a lot going on at the time preparing for my wedding! Fast forward to approximately 7 hours before our flight was to depart and we learned the airline canceled the flight. I was hesitant to call April as it was 1am in the morning, but I finally decided to call her because I did not know how to best handle the situation. April answered my call, got out of bed, and got on the phone with the airline to reschedule our flight. She had us on another flight and contacted our resort with our updated arrival time within an hour. Again, this was all done from 1-2am!!! Throughout our day of traveling, we experienced numerous delays which ultimately resulted in us missing our connection to our final destination. April was in contact with us through it all despite being on vacation herself, contacting the airline to again reschedule our flights and to secure overnight accommodations at the airline’s expense. In fact, she had already rescheduled our flights before we landed and realized we missed our connection to our destination. While it was disappointing to miss a day of our honeymoon, it was such a relief to know we had April on our side as our advocate. Due to the changes in our flights, our bags did not arrive with our flight to our destination. However, once again, we reached out to April upon figuring out our bags were delayed and she immediately called the airline to open an incident report and arranged to have our bags delivered to our room at the resort. My wife and I were able to enjoy our honeymoon and not worry about our bags because we trusted that April had the situation under control. Despite these “hiccups,” all of which were completely out of April’s control, my wife and I had the honeymoon of our dreams. This would not have been possible without April’s tireless, around-the-clock commitment to my wife and me. We could never thank her enough for all that she did to make our honeymoon a success. It should go without saying that my wife and I HIGHLY recommend April Powers Travel. We’ll never again travel with anyone else!!

Fantastic experience: April is an awesome breathe of fresh air. I had been trying to plan a trip for my husband and I to Hawaii for the last 6 months. I am the type of person that knows what I want (for the most part). We travel quite a bit, and I have never had any problem putting together our own travel packages for our family and anniversary vacations. But, planning for Hawaii started to get a little daunting with all the islands, resort options, and trying to find the best deals. MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE BEFORE APRIL POWERS TRAVEL, LLC I had read great things about Virtuoso, so I went with a local agent that works under the Virtuoso network. What a disaster! Even though they are supposed to be agents for "luxury" travel, I did not feel like a valued customer. The agent I was working with before did not return phone calls when promised. She did not respond to emails AT ALL. In fact, when I told her I was done working with her AFTER I had already provided my credit card, she never even gave me the courtesy of returning my call or email. So, I dumped her. I called another Virtuoso agent and she said they wanted a pretty hefty deposit just to talk to me. She wanted me to fill out a 10 page questionnaire pertaining to issues that didn't even apply to our current travel plans and she spoke down to me and talked to me as though I needed someone to tell me what I liked. After that, I was like forget it! THANK GOD I FOUND APRIL! I went to google. It was not easy finding a travel agent with decent reviews. I imagine people are hard on agents because a lot of people only post when things go wrong. But, I found April and I decided to give her a call. She was so nice from the very first phone call. I was calling her towards the end of the day with time-sensitive plans and she didn't hesitate. She had our travel all figured out and booked within just a couple of days over a weekend! I was totally amazed and relieved. It probably would have been even faster had I not wavered (in speaking with my spouse) on some of the amenities we were looking for. So far, she has returned every phone call and has answered all of my emails. I try not to be high maintenance, but when you are taking a milestone anniversary trip a 12-hour flight away, questions come up and come up and come up. She's been awesome to answer ALL of them within a very short period of time. She never made me feel like I was a burden or a pain. That seems like this should be standard, but I can tell you from working with other agents, it's not. Go with April Powers Travel. You will not be disappointed! Fantastic experience: My wife and I used April Powers Travel for our honeymoon recently. This is the second time we have used April and she will always get our business. We went to Italy and April planned everything we wanted to do for us and even put it all together in a binder with our itinerary including hotel and transportation vouchers - all within the budget we gave her (somehow). She included instructions and helpful tips for every part of our journey and picked the best days to do each activity. We had some trouble on the return home when our connecting flight was cancelled due to an airline strike. We went to the airline's customer service desk as we were already at the gate when the cancellation happened. There were at least 30 people in front of us and, in a few short minutes, dozens more behind us and we were going nowhere. We decided to call April and ask if she could help. I'm so happy we did. We were able to get out of that line and go grab a bite to eat while April solved all of our problems, arranging a new flight and a hotel. As if that wasn't enough, April constantly followed up with us to make sure we were getting everything we needed and that we returned home safely. Then she helped us get reimbursed for all of the additional expenses due to the flight cancellation. I could tell you about all of the small things April did like inform our hotels we were honeymooning so they comped us champagne or update us with changes to tour schedules so we didn't miss anything, but it is the constant attention she placed on our needs during our trip to make sure that everything was perfect that really made the difference. Both vacations we booked through April were perfect and I couldn't imaging trying to do it without her. Thank you, April, for making sure our honeymoon was special.
