Fantastic experience: Went there for International driving permit. Employees were nice and helpful. They did try to sell me a bit on AAA but that's what they are there for. Just said no thanks and that was it. Got my permit and I'm good to go.

Negative experience: My Mom is a recent widow and signed up for AAA this fall, mainly for some roadside assistance security. We tried to utilize the service for the first time this week (1/25/24) and had the worst customer service experience. Short version: no experience with the old-fashioned AAA but the 2024 version will leave you stranded on the side of the road and then be defensive and unhelpful when you reach out to their contact centers for updates (as you wait on the side of the road +4 hours). I’d be glad to provide the full details of this disappointing experience to a AAA Quality rep if they exist and are interested.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't believe all the amenities they offer! Must stop in and visit this neat office. Friendly, kind, and prompt service. Everything from Travel, Insurance, to gift giving needs! I was amazed. 1st visit here to the Merrillville office in over 25 years! Love the many changes!

Negative experience: absolutely garbage. not sure what has happened to this company and service. the last 2 times i’ve called with a tire flat, they didn’t even show up. and when i called, they just said “sorry. if u wanna go somewhere else, u can try and get a refund from the company” why i even have this service… well, as of tomoro i won’t.

Negative experience: I thought this was a free service. It takes all the way until number 6 for the option to speak to a Rep. They said it would be 6:40 until anyone is on the way to me. I called at 5:11 and then they would. Charge me for 2 gallons of gas. After about 40mins of being stuck on the highway a friend was able to get to me with gas. We were right at exit 240 Lowell and Hebron.

Fantastic experience: The driver Mitch should get a promotion or something cause he was very helpful in helping me get to where i was going without me having to walk and since i couldn't ride with them i would request him before they send anybody else.

Fantastic experience: I have been with AAA for almost 6 months now. Steven Donley always provides excellent customer service. My rate has went down and it's been the 1st time in years. It's cheaper than my old State Farm policy. Steven always takes care of my policy needs. I would recommend him.

Negative experience: Locked keys in my car but found them later on the ground. Service guy scratched the heck out of my car. He said sign the receipt and call AAA. Come to find out once you sign then you sign a waiver for any damage. Brand new car scratch because the guy was lazy and jammed the wedge in the door. $400 worth of damage. Plus read the find print. AAA sells your information to many third parties. Let the solicitation of calls and emails begin. It's relentless. Just pay a little more to your auto insurance and save the hassle of AAA.

Negative experience: Today 12/04/2020 one of your auto assistance drivers almost caused multiple accidents through a CONSTRUCTION ZONE on Broadway and 21st he cut me off causing me to swerve and just about swerving into on coming traffic,then flying through the construction zone cutting more people off my friend tried to get a picture of the plate and him but he took off. I hope this isn't what you guys encourage and I hope these aren't the types of people you employ who have zero concerns for other people's life on the road.

The staff on site is truly dedicated to helping travelers and members with your AAA membership, travel ideas, auto/home/life insurance needs, and financial services like banking and retirement planning. Remarkable that AAA membership offers all of that in house.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't find the place to write a review for the roadside assistance specifically so this is the office closest to where I needed it. I requested the roadside assistance from the app and I could not possibly be more thankful! I was in a very unsafe spot and there was a tow truck there within 15-20 minutes to get me to safety. AAA was a guardian angel for me today and I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I called for a tow At 8am and was told they would arrive at 9:40am. 10am rolled around and still no tow. I called back and was told someone would be here at noon. During that call the tow truck driver himself told me I couldn't ride with my vehicle because he had two other people riding, I reluctantly said fine just come get the vehicle. I was then told by An AAA agent that someone would be out by noon. 1pm rolled around and STILL NO tow. I called back again and was told someone would be out by 1:30pm. 2:40pm and still NOTHING NO tow. I called back and spoke with a supervisor who told me they were suppose to charge me for this tow since I had a tow yesterday which is total b.s. i am a plus member and this would be only my second tow. I also was told that someone would be here to tow my vehicle by 3pm and STILL NO tow. I was also told that the driver listed himself as "arrived" but there was no one there, this is a major issue for me. I pay for a service and I expect to get that service. I feel scammed because I cannot utuilze what I have paid in advance for. I have 8 text messages from AAA saying my call was dispatched but NO ONE EVER CAME. I want a refund or someone resolve. This service is terrible.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly office and staff with the membership perks and affordable rates to boot. Cary Gunning took care of all of our insurance needs. We started with home owners insurance and liked the service he offered so much that we switched our auto policies over AND took out life policies. Highly recommend!
