Negative experience: They changed my ticket without telling me. They then lied and said they called and emailed which they did not. They also canceled the ride I needed so that I couldn't even switch. If I hadn't been checking things last minute I wouldn't have even known and I wouldn't have been able to go on my trip at all.

Fantastic experience: We took a charter bus from Peoria Charter to a Game in St. Louis Saturday. The coach was well appointed with chargers, clean interior as listed on their website. Tim our bus driver did the exceptional job of driving, especially navigating to the stadium for pickup. 5 stars fir Tim and PCC! Thanks!

Negative experience: most unreliable transportation, young man if you have a flight to catch you better choose any transportation. they change the bus stop without telling you. Totally ridiculous. They usually do students business, so they practicing take no concern of their service and bully the students.

Negative experience: Let me just start with the fact that most of the 5 stars on this website are people who were lucky enough to actually get the bus and get where they needed to go. After reading many of the reviews and having my own experience with this company, I’m seeing a common pattern with this terrible charter company. Without giving too many details, what happened was they moved the bus stop to a different bay when we had confirmed the bay just 10 minutes before, causing us to miss our bus, then penalized us for it. They were an inefficient service, wasting our time, then charged us. Ever heard the expression time is money?? You wasted OUR time then WE had to PAY??? This company has a monopoly over the services to the location we had to go to (we couldn’t take one of the other shuttles for this reason) and definitely knows it and EXPLOITS it. If your people mess up, it is your responsibility to apologize for the inconvenience and at the LEAST give us a free postponement. Overall, if you have to take this shuttle, make sure you stay on the lookout, and don’t expect considerate customer service.

Negative experience: If the ridiculously overpriced ticket wasn’t bad enough, the recent unprofessional and terrible service made it clear to me that it’s time to look for alternative options. They moved the pickup spot at O’hare airport from the shuttle center to the multimodal facility. I’ve been using the shuttle center for years and went there as usual. There’s no sign or anything to state the change. I waited for hours and then learned that it has shifted to the MMF and it’s quite far away from the shuttle center- you have to take a train to go there. I had to ask people for guidance as there’s no sign whatsoever throughout the entire reroute. And when I called them to ask about it, they said they had sent an email. First of all, not everyone reads commercial emails. Even if you do, it doesn’t give you any directions or details of how to get there. Why wouldn’t you just put a bunch of signs to make it easier for passengers!! I’m done with them, will go for Amtrak and blue line, which are much more cheaper and convenient than this horrible company.

Fantastic experience: It appears to me from the short pleasant time that I was able to be in the presence of Bill and Cindy Winkler recently that they are driven by their love of Christ as they head up their company with outstanding service and employees. Their company has been in business for 80 years now and that doesn't happen without faith in God almighty as far as I'm concerned. Wish all the buses had cup holders and better WI-FI. Today's was better than last time, but still too erratic.

Fantastic experience: My sister in law & I took our 1st bus trip to New York City on September 1 through September 7, 2022. paid the double occupancy price, which we felt was Very reasonable. Our bus driver, Orlando, is the Best Charter Bus Driver that we have ever had. Orlando was Very Courteous, Always has a smile on his face, great with getting along with everyone & having a few laughs together. Charla & Susie ... They took turns giving us some sort of snack daily, water & our games to play. Everyone did an Outstanding job!!! Wish I could rate higher than 5 stars ... Because these people went above & beyond for our group!!!! Thank You so Much!!!! I will definitely be a returning customer!!! Thank You!!

Negative experience: No safebelt, increased ticket price, ruthless staff, and no flexibility. I have taken this bus long enough to witness the ticket price rise from 32 to 39 (which is fine considering the oil), but what really upsets me is that all the nice people of this company have been gone. I remember the time when my flights arrived late and they were so helpful to change my bus for free. The driver would take me in as well. Pandemic hits and this company encountered a financial crisis. Their email goes viral among my friends and we send money to help them survive. Yet all we get is the cold staff who refuses to perform the transfer even if they can ($15dollars btw), and a ruthless driver who refuses to open the door and communicate. That’s it. Thanks for all the great experiences in the past but now I would say this company is nothing but a monopoly. Don’t go to them when you have 1% uncertainty because they won’t help in any way if that happens.

Negative experience: Two major problems with my recent trip to O'Hare from Peoria: PCC's amateurish website, and the dilapidated condition of the bus. The amateurish website lacks clarity and is just sloppy. It lists three available routes per day under the heading "before July 14th". And then two daily routes "after July 14th". If you continue to scroll to the far right, it tells you that ACTUALLY "before July 14th" offers only ONE daily route (all evidence - in the chart - to the contrary) So confusing. And unnecessary. The frustrated traveler only discovers later that the 7:23am route is all there is. Makes for a long day if you have a 9pm flight. Now, Covid has been tough on everyone, most ESPECIALLY Illinois taxpayers, who bequeathed PCC $150,000 in Business Interruption, and even more though Paycheck Protection. Bottom line: some of that money needs to be spent on repairing suspension/shock absorbers on the bus I endured today! School buses have smoother rides. Heck, metal-wheeled donkey carts have a smoother ride! Come to that, the wifi isn't much worse on a donkey cart. Outlets for charging phones were also not working. Yeah, Covid was rough. But the fact that post-vaccine ridership seems really sparse makes me wonder if travelers don't care to endure the bone-jarring four hours to O'Hare. Ya have to spend money to make money.

Positive experience: Seeing your response to my post from years ago for the first time. I appreciate your response and offer of a ticket. I still remember that night, however, as one of my worst customer experiences I've ever received. The dog was shivering violently, from what I was told over the phone, because it and its owner had to wait out in the cold for a bus that was two hours late. You wouldn't let the dog wait inside. It ended up going into a paralytic state, which some small dogs do it seems when they get extremely cold, and the owner had to heat it up in her car. We thought we were going to have to take it the hospital. I wasn't going to respond, but noticed your point about pet-friendly policies and had to share. Still, I could never give a central Illinois business a bad rating.

Fantastic experience: We used this company from Peoria to Chicago O’Hare airport on Christmas Day and we were very pleased with the experience. Our driver, Matt, was professional, personable, and extremely courteous! Absolutely 5 stars because his service exceeded expectations. In addition, the bus was nice, the trip went smoothly, and it was very convenient. Would recommend and will use this service in the future.

Negative experience: Just rode today. Paid $30 for one way on Peoria Charter and riding Greyhound I paid $30 for two ways. While it may be peak season, they charge this year round maybe save for a $2 or $3 coupon. Bus was in worse shape than the Greyhound and the internet was useless except for messaging. We were almost 40 minutes early to Wood field mall from U of I UC and I had no idea that we were going to get there so early until 20 minutes before we got there.

Negative experience: Went on a 22 hour bus ride to Orlando. Service was terrible! The bathroom made the whole bus smell ungodly and the bus drivers appeared very inexperienced. The first was alright, but the second, driving during the nighttime, drove through a pileup of traffic and for God knows what reason, decided to Travers through equal parts raceway style accelerations and jagged sudden shifts to the brake. This made it almost impossible to sleep "Which it already almost was on a filthy stinking bus." Do not use this bus, it is better to walk into a blizzard and die

Negative experience: Seats were extremely uncomfortable and our driver had to stop 45 minutes from home so he could get himself a coffee and have a cigarette. We were all exhausted and ready to get home.

Positive experience: Negative part - Found it impossible to determine where to wait at the Illinois Terminal. As a one time visitor, a sign would have alleviated much stress, as there are a lot of busses, and according to the helpful lady staff I finally found, the bus could be one of three different designs. There was a very unhelpful staff inside the terminal who basically told me to step off, and I was getting quite worried that I would miss the bus for lack of info. NB these are not Peoria Coach staff, but rather terminal people. Once the bus did arrive the trip turned professional, with a very friendly lady driver. Her driving was outstanding , and I had no concerns at all. She was concerned about leaving me, a foreigner, at a mall stop in Chicago where there was no one not even cars. And I really appreciated that, as she did not know my ride was only a few minutes away waiting in the wrong corner.... Thanks, Peoria Coach. I highly recommend you.

Negative experience: The bus scheduled at 10:30pm called the call center while plane was taxing on runway at 955pm. Spoke to a lady to ask that we will be about 8-10 minutes late. She said that she will inform the bus driver. Called again that we got out of the plane and are waiting for the luggages. At no point did the call center person recommended a re-fund and/or the time threshold of the driver. WE GOT TO DOOR 4 AT THE SHUTTLE CENTER AT 1034PM. To see the bus pulling away. I called the call center, she then proceeded to tell me that the bus driver "waited all he could" and "there are no refunds". Now me and my family are stuck in O'Hare after a 22 hour journey at 11pm. Ridiculous service, terrible customer service, and their operations definition of "waiting all he could" is less than 5 minutes. If that was the case, why did the call center person not recommend a refund when I gave our threshold of a possible 8-10 minutes late (mind you we beat that threshold and still got left behind)? Only answer is they wanted the money without giving their service. I will never, ever, ever ride this stupid service nor will I recommend it to anyone. I will recommend my friends and family to avoid this business at all costs.

Negative experience: I have had no experience actually using their services, but they have no sort of cancellation policy whatsoever and will charge you to change the date of your ticket. I was able to cancel 2 flights online without any fees, but this bus service has no way to adjust travel plans. Unacceptable in my mind.

Fantastic experience: My flight was late and I was waiting for my bags. It was 1 min until the bus was to take off. I grabbed my bags and ran to where the bus picks people up.. And the bus driver (Matt) was THERE! OMG What a relief! He was kind and waited 2 extra minutes! Thank you Peoria Charter and Matt! Will definitely use this charter company service again!!!

Fantastic experience: I have used Peoria Charter Coach many times and have always been 100% satisfied. But today I was not happy. Booking my tickets on line, I decided to check AFTER I had made the reservations, what to do if I didn't make my return bus. I was informed that I would have to pay another $10 for a change. It never occurred to me that I would have to pay for a change on the same DAY. I should not have made a return reservation on line, and just paid the driver $40 at the time of boarding if I didn't make my scheduled bus. Then I would have been $5 out of pocket. Definitely, I'm not happy. BUYER BEWARE

Negative experience: Frasca Int Company event that had been planned months in advance. Bus was late, we went looking the driver. Driver was found in Obrien's parking lot smoking. Upon LATE arrival, 1st bus was hot and the air-conditioning was non-operational. Had to drive to the depot, disembark and board another bus. When leaving, driver wasn't able to pick up first group as arranged and picked up second group first. Bus was ridiculously hot and air condition was inop and unsafe. I had the passengers get off the bus for safety reasons and had driver to call for another bus. Person I spoke to on the phone wasn't helpful at all and gave me attitude about sending another bus. We, the client, fixed the bus, waited for bus to cool and arrived home 4 hours late. Bus was very poorly maintained, fuses were bad, and blower fans were full of dirt causing them to not be effective. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!!

Negative experience: We departed 40 minutes late! Also, If you value your safety PLEASE DO NOT ride this bus line; our driver only slowed down to 10 mph at stop signs instead of stopping; he kept talking on his phone while driving to people about the A/C; would turn recklessly in my opinion, oh, and the smell was awful. The air made our eyes water in 5 minutes aft3r entwring. Plus No A/C on a 3 hour bus drive.

Fantastic experience: I recently took Peoria Shuttle up to O’Hare (from U of I) to catch a flight for an interview. I was first impressed by the number of shuttles that they ran to O’Hare. Despite having a plane come in at 9:15pm, I could still catch their last shuttle back to campus! I thought the service was great! Both drivers I had were very helpful and friendly during boarding, there was free wifi aboard, and both shuttles arrived right at the expected time (actually I got back earlier than expected which was nice). I would recommend Peoria Shuttle to a friend, and I expect to use their services the next time I need to go up to O’Hare.

Positive experience: Re: the Omaha trip with Rita as guide and Mike as driver. My rating would actually be between a 4 star and a 5 star. It was a wonderful trip for the cost. Rita made it fun and Mike made us feel safe. Both were very professional and did their jobs well. All of the ethnic meals and performances were delightful. The breakfast choices at the hotel were phenomenal! We got a lot for our money, that's for sure! My only negative comments would be related to the visit to the Scottish Castle and to the Swedish Museum. The couple at the Castle who talked about and showed us various clan patterns, etc. were interesting enough, but the tour through the Castle seemed like a waste of time with no furnishings. The Swedish Museum didn't really have much to offer for having taken us way out of our way and consumed a lot of extra time on our last day of the trip. I heard many of the participants say they'd like to have skipped it and gotten back sooner. This was my first trip with Peoria Charter Company and I would certainly go with them again and recommend their tours to others. Thank you.
