Fantastic experience: We started using Jim as our travel agent when my wife and I got married in 2010 (for our honeymoon to Greece). Since that time, he has planned several international vacations for us, all of which have been amazing and a complete fit for the type of vacation we were looking for. Fantastic experience: Becki was such a pleasure to work with for the past few months. We had a few different places in mind for our honeymoon and she found lots of options at each for us to look through and ultimately decided on staying at Sandals La Too in St. Lucia. She was very accommodating and thorough with everything. She helped us plan the perfect honeymoon to Saint Lucia. We had the most relaxing time and before we left, she made sure we had everything in order and even thought of some things we hadn't, to prepare us for our trip. She went over our entire trip from leaving Charleston to get there and coming back to make sure everything was in order. St. Lucia is the most beautiful island and the food was the highlight for sure! So delicious! Becki is very sweet and such a joy to talk with! Fantastic experience: This is the second time we have worked with Jim and his team and they are great. Went spent two weeks in Costa Rica last year on a couples trip and this year we did a week in Costa Rica with a seven year old. Jim and Co. were able to tailor this trip to meet our new requirements and send us to new locations. We had a fantastic time and the new places did not disappoint. Fantastic experience: We were planning a small beach wedding and honeymoon, and have had great success working with Jim in the past. He recommended Jade Mountain in St. Lucia. By far the most unique and amazing place we've ever stayed. Jim got us an upgraded room with a private infinity pool with the best view on earth. Process was easy with airport transfers, bring guests by boat or car from another property. Everything went smoothly and we're already working with Perfect Honeymoons on a Galapagos trip and a 1-year anniversary trip to Jade Mountain.

Fantastic experience: Jim has planned several trips for me and my husband. This was the first trip for our family. My teenage daughter got to pick our destination as a present. Jim worked well with her to help her decide where to go and then he listened to what activities she’d like. We went to Australia and visited Sydney and Whitsunday Islands. Jim organized everything beautifully. It made our travel to the other side of the world easy. Jim coordinated different activities for each day and gave us a couple free days too. For example, we biked around Sydney and had surf lessons in Bondi. It was very helpful to have things planned in advance so it left nothing to chance and it was also the busy season. My son and daughter will never forget their first visit trip abroad. I highly recommend Jim to anyone planning a couples or family trip. We have used him for both.

Fantastic experience: Our honeymoon in Greece was nothing short of a dream come true. We began our journey in Athens, staying at the elegant Athens Capital Center Hotel, which offered the perfect blend of luxury and proximity to historic sites. Touring the Acropolis was an awe-inspiring experience, a breathtaking start to our adventure. From there, we flew to the beautiful island of Milos. We explored the island by land and sea, uncovering hidden gems, secluded beaches, and stunning landscapes that felt like they were straight out of a postcard. Next, we took a ferry to Oia/ Santorini, where we stayed at Canaves Ena on Main Street. The views from our hotel were absolutely magical, and we owe a huge thank you to Jim for the generous room upgrade. Watching the sunsets over the caldera will forever be etched in our minds. Our final destination was Crete, and it completely captured our hearts. Everything about Crete—the warm hospitality, the vibrant food, the stunning beaches, and the breathtaking scenery—made it a place we’ll never forget. We fell in love with the island and didn’t want to leave. A heartfelt thanks to Jim, who handled all the logistics flawlessly, allowing us to simply enjoy the trip. From start to finish, this was the honeymoon of a lifetime, filled with unforgettable moments and memories we will cherish forever. The highlight of our trip was walking through a fresh market in Crete on our way to a cooking class. It was an authentic experience, getting to see local ingredients and interacting with the vendors before using those fresh ingredients in our meal. We had a perfect itinerary and wouldn’t change a thing. Definitely carry a swimsuit in your carry-on! You’ll want to jump into the stunning waters at a moment’s notice, especially with how beautiful the beaches are in Greece.

Fantastic experience: Perfect Honeymoons is the only place to plan your vacation getaway! We had an amazing anniversary trip to Costa Rica. The whole trip was just fabulous from beginning to end. Everything went smooth and everything was taken care of allowing us to maximize our fun while removing all travel anxiety. Fantastic experience: Jim and his team planned a great trip to Paris and Normandy! His contacts in France were very good. I received a message every day with the plan for the next day and contact information for the guides. We loved all of our activities and enjoyed having the guides we had for multiple days. Both Elisa in Paris and Mathieu in Normandy and Mont Saint Michel were superb. They were both very interesting and full of information and really took our questions and interests and went the extra mile. The side car was fun and the wine and cheese tasting was yummy and very interesting. The private Seine River boat cruise was very memorable and special! We loved both hotels!!! Staff in both places were very friendly, kind and helpful. The neighborhood of the Hotel Bel Ami was perfect. We walked every where and so many good restaurants in the area. The Chateau Chenevière was beautiful in Normandy! This was the third trip Jim has planned for us and it was another job well done. His team is meticulous in the planning process and giving you a detailed itinerary! He and his team are available to you while you are away if questions or problems arise! Fantastic experience: We 100% recommend Jim for all of your honeymoon planning needs! Jim came recommended from my wedding hair stylist and we are so glad we connected. We met with Jim about 6 months before our wedding/honeymoon (May 2024) and had an in depth conversation about what we wanted (and didn’t want). We had never been to Greece and needed expert guidance where to go and what to do! Jim suggested Athens (for the history), Paros, Milos, and Santorini. Each island has its own vibe and feeling. In Athens, we had an amazing walking tour of the Acropolis and the city- so much history! My birthday fell during our honeymoon and we did “Dining in the Sky” for dinner. It was an amazing (albeit we had to get over our nerves) experience! In Paros, we stayed at the Avant Mar- a new and luxurious resort with sweet beach accommodations (chairs, umbrellas, towels, and restaurant service). We had our favorite dessert in Naousos (passion fruit cheesecake) and found some lovely blue jewelry in Parikia. Siparos and Mario’s had amazing sunset views and delicious food. In Milos, we did an all day catamaran tour around the island. This was the highlight of the trip for us! We had 8 hours on a catamaran, learning about the island while enjoying delicious food. And yes, we did jump in the (not warm) Aegean a few times. The blue lagoon was stunning! In Santorini, we stayed in a hotel that had been a cave. Spectacular views of the ocean and the volcano! We had Dimitri’s for dinner - another amazing sunset view with delicious food! We really enjoyed our sunset dinner cruise around the island- it was a great way to see the island. As in Milos, we were able to jump in and swim around! Jim and his team provided us with an in depth itinerary and everything was planned. This was critically important- after planning a wedding, we just needed to relax! We used an app that provided a day by day schedule- very useful! In retrospect, there is no way we could have planned a honeymoon half as nice as Jim did. His knowledge and expertise was so important in planning this once in a lifetime trip! We highly recommend Jim and his team and plan to use him for future travel!

And the trip was perfect for us - Maroma on the Mayan Riviera, a gorgeous boutique hotel where we were treated like a king and queen. The staff met us once and then remembered our names for days. We had the best massage experience of our lives - the spa is unbelievable! The food was delicious, and their attention to detail was magnificent. Fantastic experience: My husband and I had Jim plan our honeymoon to Greece and we had an absolutely incredible experience! We explained our goals and what we wanted for our trip at our first consult and the trip he planned was exactly what we wanted and more. Every detail was planned and we loved not having to “think” at all. The excursions he included were some of our favorite experiences, from the tour of the Acropolis in Athens, our cooking class in Paros, boat tours in all the islands, and our wine tasting in Santorini. The hotels we stayed at were out of this world, and we wouldn’t have changed a single thing. Even when the weather interrupted some of our plans, travelive was quick to respond and explain next steps. It was truly a perfect honeymoon! Thank you Jim!

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed the Greek experience immensely. The fresh fish, greek salads, Mousaka and the local Greek wines you could purchase for 10 dollars a bottle were great. Every island had something different to offer. ATHENS was full of historic sites and mythology . I would recommend the earliest walking tour to avoid the afternoon crowds and hot sun. MYKONOS was beautiful. We were able to walk along the sea to old town and little Venice. There were some tucked away museums along the way along with restaurants and shops. PAROS was a little more remote. We were able to visit a beach and swim in the Aegean Sea. We also visited a great winery called Moraitis winery and a little town called Lefkes. SANTORINI has beautiful cliff scenery and gorgeous sunsets. The ferries can be a little challenging getting on and off with your luggage if you are a senior. The Mykonos hotel and Nous Santorini resort were beautiful with luscious breakfast buffets daily. Overall a great trip I would definitely recommend. Thank you so much Jim.

Fantastic experience: We heard about Jim from my sister who married over 14 years ago. My fiancé and I contacted him interested in going to Greece for our honeymoon. We were honestly very overwhelmed with the thought of planning since neither of us were familiar with the area. He turned out to be the perfect person to help us. His family is Greek and he gave us his honest opinion of what areas were best. He gave us freedom to pull from his recommendations and select what we found the most interesting. He gave a long list of options for day trips and activities. So many options! In the end the hotels and excursions exceeded our expectations. Fantastic experience: Jim with Perfect Honeymoons planned our honeymoon to St Barths in May of this year and it was above and beyond our expectations. Neither of us knew much about St Barths. I wanted to go to Europ and Garrett, my husband, wanted to go to the Caribbean. On our initial phone call we each described our dream honeymoon and he said “I’m going to have to send you on 2 different trips” haha. But- then he recommended St. Barths as a good blend of European culture and Caribbean beaches and climate. He gave us several resorts and hotels to research and helped us pick one in our budget. He booked our stay at Hotel Le Toiney and booked our flights. He set up our itinerary in the pocket travel app - the app had travel tips and restaurant, shopping, etc recommendations. It was perfect!!

We loved our honeymoon so much we used him to book trip to Barcelona, Paris and most recently Saint Lucia!

Fantastic experience: Jim is more than a Honeymoon planner; he planned the perfect getaway post-covid lockdown to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our anniversary. It was our first trip with our children too. He made himself accessible via email, text, and cell for my multiple questions, concerns, inquiries, and requests. He listened and asked questions about the travelers to help him pick some of the best destinations. Ultimately, Aurora had the most amazing staff, the location was perfection, and the locals were super welcoming. Jim and the resort made sure to go the extra mile and have welcome gifts at the resort for our kids. We also had a specific request and the resort made sure to acquire plenty during our trip and they were so accommodating! The resort unfortunately didn’t have all the restaurants open that were listed as available while booking, but the concierge easily made dinner and taxis reservations off the resort to some of the best restaurants on the island of Anguilla. Jim made the trip seamless from airport to transfer and the director at the resort even provided me with her personal contact number while visiting. The hospitality was exceptional! I would utilize Jim and his expertise again!

Fantastic experience: Jim has planned two trips for us now. A honeymoon and 14 years later, my husband's 40th birthday. The most recent was to Portugal. Fantastic experience: We've used Perfect Honeymoons for three special trips (honeymoon to Fiji, Pre-baby trip to Nevis and anniversary trip to Saint Lucia). Each trip has been fabulous. Our most recent trip to Saint Lucia had to be rescheduled several times due to COVID and Jim made the process super simple. After all the delays, we finally got to the Sugar Beach Resort and we were thrilled we had taken Jim's advice because it was the perfect location. I’m writing another review because of the current Covid world we’re living in now. Simply put - Jim is the BEST!!!! We’ve consulted Jim (and his wonderful mother) for over 25 years on our honeymoon and annual family vacations. Our son and daughter are now 21 and 19 and they still want to vacation with us! Why? Because they know Jim has organized the trip. My husband and I had no plans to travel outside the US this summer. Fantastic experience: We've worked with Jim and Perfect Honeymoons in the past (including for our honeymoon!) but it's never been more important to have an attentive, customer focused, and capable travel agent than during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our trip to Rosewood Little Dix Bay was made so much better through the care that Jim provided. He was able to maintain our low-season rate throughout many delays and changes, was able to get us upgrades, and provided key help as we navigated the new procedures to enter the BVI. When leaving, Jim was even able to negotiate an additional resort credit that we weren't expecting. Many will say that you should just go direct and book on a hotel website, or with an airline, but Jim and Perfect Honeymoons provides such a remarkable service in this challenging world - we'll not take a trip like this without going through Jim again!

Fantastic experience: I literally do not know where to start. Our trip to Argentina that Jim planned was EPIC. We stared our trip in Buenos Aires. It is such a beautiful city that we fell in love with. We love Europe & gravitate there when planning trips so staying in Recoleta and feeling like we were in Paris was perfect. The hotel location Jim picked was great! We saw all the things: the cemetery, San Telmo markets, La Boca, the bookstore, Colon Theater, and so much more. After walking everywhere, seeing everything, and eating our weight in empanadas, heading to beautiful Mendoza was exactly what we needed. The vineyards are like none I've ever seen with the beautiful backdrop of the snow capped mountains. Every winery Jim and his team chose was spectacular. Right when we landed, we headed to Casarena and had the best tour and wine tasting. Jim and I always try to make our "travel days" not feel like travel days and rather a part of our trip so adding in that winery stop straight from the airport was great. The hotel was AMAZING! We arrived Christmas Eve and knew that most, if not all, restaurants would be closed so we were pleasantly surprised that the hotel asked us to join their Christmas celebration. We quickly changed and headed out to the pool area for traditional Christmas cocktails of cider and whiskey. Then we had delicious appetizers as we watched a beautiful tango show. The dinner was one of the best meals we had in Argentina. Short ribs, wine, grilled veggies, oh my! The food at the hotel was really phenomenal. The next day was Christmas. Jim warned us that wineries and shops would be closed this day but he was able to plan something very special for us. We headed to Uco Valley for an unforgettable horseback riding adventure. This was a highlight for me. We went to a winery first that happened to be open because it was also a hotel and restaurant. Next was the horseback ride and beautiful picnic, filled with amazing food and of course wine! Honestly, one of the best days of my life. Last day in Mendoza was filled with a full wine excursion that Jim set up for us. First stop was Matervini. We loved it so much that we are now wine club members! The tour guide was so informative and passionate. Great start to the day. Next up with Vina Alicia. They have a ton of different grape varietals and mentioned they just started doing tours for the public and I'm so glad they did. Finally, we ended at LaGarde for a 7 course, wine-paired lunch in the garden. Wow. Was this special!! After all of that, we went back to the hotel for an empanada cooking class that ended with a full asado dinner. This was one of the best nights we had on the trip. It was a small group of us from all over the world. We got to talk, and drink, and laugh, and eat. It was wonderful. Next up: Patagonia. Another unbelievable destination. Bariloche and the Llao Llao Resort were breathtaking. We enjoyed all the outdoor activities this lake district provided: hiking, kayaking, swimming, archery. The first day we did the Llao Llao hiking trail which ended with spectacular views. The next day we did the Lopez hike with a guide which ended with a picnic in the woods with wine and delicious snacks. Definitely a highlight for us in Patagonia. I think at this point we were a little tired of meat if I'm being honest, so finding out that the hotel had a sushi restaurant was music to our ears. It was so good, we ate there twice! We left this trip with our hearts full and our stomachs even fuller. Thank you, Jim and team, from the bottom of my heart for planning such a wonderful trip for us. I literally could not have asked for a more perfect vacation with my husband. Once again, you have outdone yourself. Thank you, Jim!

When we recently decided that we needed another adventure for the two of us (away from our young children), we immediately contacted Jim. He consistently provides amazing customer service. He takes the time to learn about your needs and tailors his suggestions to meet them. Once the details have been agreed on, he provides you with a list or recommendations for dining, activities, and events to consider, which are not just the standard "tourist trap" suggestions... he's been to many of these locations and is suggesting them based on his own personal experiences.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Perfect Honeymoons. We told Jim what we wanted and what our budget was and he totally got it. He booked us the honeymoon to Fiji we had dreamed of. All the travel arrangements were seamless. Fantastic experience: There is a reason Jim's business is called Perfect Honeymoons & Holidays - that is what he does. He helped us planned our honeymoon 12 years ago and it was perfect. A few years ago, when we wanted to visit Jamaica, he helped us pick the perfect resort. So when it was time we decided on a last-minute Christmas vacation due to some unexpected time off, we called Jim. I tried to do this by myself but going down the Google search rabbit hole trying to compare resorts, islands, find flights etc. was really time consuming and totally overwhelming. Every site starts to look the same after awhile. People don't think they need a travel agent, but we wanted to make sure we loved our vacation and didn't just hit purchase on a resort we sorta liked online. Jim sent us to the Unico resort in Rivera Maya. IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED, and most important, it didn't come up on a single search I did on my own. I am so glad we reached out to him again. I didn't even know to extend by search of Cancun resorts to include other areas. The resort was perfect - we told Jim exactly what we wanted, exactly what we wanted to spend and when we wanted to go. He delivered above and beyond on all things. No detail was overlooked. If you are in the middle of planning a wedding -or just in the middle of day to day busy life - there is nothing wrong with outsourcing planning your honeymoon or vacation to someone. Do it.

Jim picked perfect hotels and gave valuable advice on how to plan our itinerary. We received upgrades at several of our hotels and had a welcome drink at them as well. He had excellent excursion recommendations as well. He recommended a cooking class in Florence that was the highlight of our trip. His hotel and excursion advice saved us hours or research. We will definitely use him time and time again!

Fantastic experience: Jim planned me and my husband's 5 year wedding anniversary trip to Tahiti and IT WAS AMAZING! He suggested three islands, which we traveled to and they were all postcard perfection. Jim's recommendations on hotels, restaurants, and excursions were spot on. We tried everything he suggested and it was all GREAT. We were gone for 2 weeks and that was the perfect amount of time to experience Tahiti. Fantastic experience: We contacted Jim to plan a getaway to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. He had a few questions to help pinpoint what we were looking for and quickly got back to us with a few different options and a list of upgrades for each location. He also was able to tell us what the overall experience would be at each resort which helped simplify our decision since both options sounded so good! We stayed in Palmetto Bluff at the Montage Resort which was top notch from start to finish. We were welcomed with champagne and chocolate strawberries, enjoyed an upgrade for our room, plus spa and breakfast credits which we enjoyed! The size of the resort, outstanding scenery, delicious restaurants multiple activities available and the above and beyond service at every turn was amazing. Everywhere we went the staff knew we were celebrating our anniversary, which was such a nice touch. We will go back to this resort; probably take the family next time and will definitely be calling Jim to help plan a return trip or for ANY of our other vacations!

Fantastic experience: Jim planned a trip for my husband and I. We were celebrating my birthday and decided to explore South Africa. Fantastic experience: Perfect Honeymoons delivered AND saved our honeymoon!!! Jim and Gretchen are both fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about the business. We tried to book it ourselves and quickly got overwhelmed because we wanted a 2-part vacation starting at the Four Seasons in Bora Bora and ending in Cancun. They ensured our flights were comfortable and we didn't have long waits in between transfers, yet not too short to feel stressed either. Fantastic experience: We picked Perfect Honeymoons to help us with our honeymoon and it was one of the best decisions we could have made! There we so many things that made working with Jim such a pleasure. Our honeymoon was over two weeks and involved a considerable amount of travel and lodging changes. Jim knows all the best places to stay (based on his actual experience instead of who has paid him), and has great insight into how to set up the trip for the best time. After your initial meeting he presents you with a variety of hotel/itinerary options for you to choose from. Once you decide on places and hotel options, he prepares a formal package. He provides full support on your trip if something does come up. I don't know why someone would even consider planning their honeymoon themselves; he saves you time and money, provides insight into the best areas to go to, and serves as a support team to help fix any logistical/other issues that may come up while on the trip. Oh and by the way he does all this for practically nothing!!!

Fantastic experience: Jim planned two excellent trips for us and we are returning to him to plan a third. He booked our honeymoon to Costa Rica (three awesome locations- mountains, by volcano, and at the beach) a couple years ago as well as a recent vacation to Northern California (Napa, Monterey and San Fran). Upon the initial meeting, Jim met with us to listen to our ideas for the trips and he made our vision a reality. His additional suggestions (restaurant recommendations, adventures, etc.) are better than what we would have been able to find by searching online and he helped us avoid “tourist traps.” The itineraries have been excellent and I wouldn’t have changed anything. We had one FaceTime session with all the important questions asked and answered, then BOOM! The honeymoon of a lifetime became a reality. Santorini, Greece AND Amalfi Coast Italy here we come. He respected our budget, told us what the trade-offs would be if we subtracted/added to the budget, booked us right away knowing we were going at the tail-end of the season and did not want us to miss anything. The hotels he booked us for were 5 stars and did not disappoint one bit - between the views, food, service, and location, it was experiencing a little bit of heaven on earth. His suggested itinerary was spot-on and I don't think I would've done anything differently - it was the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. Fantastic experience: My fiance and I waited way too long to plan our honeymoon, and contacted Jim in a panic a few weeks before we wanted to go to Tahiti. Not smart! Jim was extremely accommodating and immediately scheduled a time for us to talk about what our dream honeymoon would look like. We didn't hold back - we told him exactly what we wanted, and we gave him our budget. It wasn't easy, but Jim made phone calls and pulled strings and got us exactly what we wanted: two resorts in Tahiti, both with over water bungalows. One was a big resort right off Bora Bora, and the other was a boutique resort on a tiny private vanilla island. We especially loved the boutique one, and NEVER would have found it without his help!! Jim was professional and kind every step of the way - we felt like we had an advocate from abroad. HIGHLY recommend!!
