AAA Stamford

Positive experience: The phone number listed is not useful for us to reach any rep at the office. I placed an order for foreign currency and I cannot know the status as no option is allowing me to reach a rep. It sucks, now I need to drive to their office to know the status or collect my money. Not happy

Negative experience: Triple AAA office services are great! However their road side assistance is absolutely terrible. They literally waited until the last min of my expected tow to call and tell me they are running behind and they can’t give me a time. How organized is your business when you can’t give a paying customer whose already waited over an hour an estimated time. That just shows you how much Stamford AAA values their customers and their time. I should have stayed with my insurer roadside assistance because this is time consuming and unorganized service in my opinion.

Negative experience: She refused to serve my family, telling me my AAA membership cannot be honored there. Wasted my time and trip. I found out later from a different branch that there is no such thing - aaa membership is same everywhere and we shouldn’t be discriminated. That was total bs what she told me . We’ve been aaa members for over 20 years, this is absurd.

Fantastic experience: Came in to get some documents notarized because Chase Bank (With an Appointment) couldn't do it because of a policy. Called them while driving there and they said they could do it without an appointment. Due to COVID-19, they only had 3 people and all were wearing masks and very courteous. There wasn't a line and they were happy to help immediately without any hesitation. Very pleased with everyone there! I would recommend for anyone needing their service.

Fantastic experience: When you need them they are there ! I also get maps as a backup to when the GPS goes out. Hard to believe hard copy maps still have a place in today's world. The also offer free ( to members ) driving courses that save me insurance $$$. Deffinately worth the money.

Fantastic experience: They are in a busy, but convenient shopping center. You have to be patient about finding an open parking spot though. AAA accommodated me with my Trip Tik request, and were very friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: Was locked out of Mmy car on Monday 7/22/19. Called for service and PAT CAME WITHIN :20 MINUTES. HE PROVIDED EXCELLENT SERIVICE, WAS COURTEOUS, COMPASSIONATE, AND OPENED MY DOOR IN LESS THAN 5 SECONDS!!! i WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND AAA TO EVERYONE!!!

Negative experience: 3 bad experiences with AAA means I'm done with them. #1 needed a tow but was outside of my coverage area, # 2 made an appointment to talk to an agent about a destination wedding and the agent did not show or call to cancel, #3 went to buy movie tickets and could of bought them for less at Costco.

Fantastic experience: I love the AAA in Stamford! Went there last week to pick up a discounted movie tickets for my step son’s Christmas present. I also was informed that I can get an American Express gift card in a discounted price as well. So what a great day it was for me! I felt like it was a one stop shopping. All the staff there are very friendly and courteous! Regardless how busy it is, they remain calm! So shout out to AAA Stamford branch!!!

Positive experience: Wonderful AAA office. The staff is very pleasant and helpful; they will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and have all your questions answered. The only down side to this office is that it can get very crowded, especially in the middle of the day. I guess everyone else around here likes it as much as I do!

Negative experience: called twice was put on hold for one ten minutes both times, and then was him up on. waiting now at.local office for over 20 minutes and there are 5 people still ahead of me with no air conditioning.

Fantastic experience: I always go first thing in the morning and find no lines. Staff always friendly and helpful. I got an IDP in about ten minutes. They have photo services on site as well, very useful. They have also handled my IDP through a mail-in request and when there was an issue, they called my italian cell phone to ask me for clarity. I really appreciated their attention to detail and qucik service and the IDP arrived to Italy incredibly fast!

Fantastic experience: The line at the door, prior to the opening a Saturday morning, was quite impressive. Nevertheless, every client was treated with great professionalism and courtesy. The bottleneck, for renewing a Driver License, is the single computer available for processing the document. I would recommend AAA over the DMV office.

He turned the otherwise menial task of renewing a driver's license into a very pleasant experience. On top of that, he was bilingual and helped the customer after me with impeccable Spanish that was just as good as his English. Highly recommend coming here.

Fantastic experience: Renewed my drivers license in about 20 minutes. Fastest renewal time ever and much easier than going to the DMV. Staff were knowledgeable and polite. Was also able to pick up a trip tik for my mother's upcoming road trip to Texas at the same time. Overall excellent experience and service.

Positive experience: Quick, easy, makes the annual dues worth the money. A bit more interpersonal communication and customer focus would have made it 5-star, but the time-savings is priceless.

Negative experience: It was worse than any experience I've ever had at the DMV. It was not easier and I will never go there again. First off, there was no order so after my passport was passed along for a new license, people were being called at random. When it finally came to be my turn, it had been an hour an a half (I went at 11:45 am on a weekday). On top of that, the staffer was rude and actually said to me "Better make sure you can actually hold onto your card this time." This was rude and completely inconsiderate of the fact that I had not simply lost it, but my wallet was stolen, which was already an extremely upsetting experience as it was.

Fantastic experience: I stopped into the office on High Ridge in Stamford to see if they had a map of CT. I received professional service and received the help I needed. I have also stopped in to ask questions about how to renew my passport and once again the service was helpful and courteous. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Renewed my license at AAA and got the verified one. I made sure I had the proper paperwork with me in advance, and the process was a breeze. One person was in front of me in line. The gentleman who helped me had a great sense of human and I was laughing the whole time. The photo woman even let me look at the picture and asked if it was alright. Very kind, quick, convenient and SO much better than waiting at the DMV!

Its hard to find good customer service these days, thank you to the Stamford AAA team for reinforcing that good customer service still exists! Negative experience: Been a Triple A member for many years, went to this office to renew my license with a verified type, in the morning system was down, returned in the afternoon with all required documents (Valid USA passport, Valid CT Driver's license, current CT DMV reg in my name and official photo ID ) Totally incompetent. Went to Norwalk DMV office, same documents in and out under 15 minutes. Hey triple A starting thinking outside the box. NEVER AGAIN.

Negative experience: Went in on a weekday morning to pick up discount movie tickets. Had to wait almost 45 minutes as the two people at the counter were helping two different parties with very detailed needs. Maybe AAA needs an express counter for people who can be served in under 1 minute. Or how about automating stuff like movie tickets - enter your AAA ID, credit card # and get your tickets dispensed - probably too 21st century for AAA.

Fantastic experience: Love this office. The staff is always helpful with great maps, guides and suggestions. These materials were especially helpful as we didn't use our phones while in Canada. Amazing how reliant we've become on the smart phones but the maps & quides were great and helped get us where we need to be.

Fantastic experience: AAA in Stamford is the best. Even though we have GPS we ALWAYS get maps and guide books from AAA. And this trip especially, I'm glad we had them. GPS always has glitches and we refer to the maps often. More peace of mind while trying to have a relaxing time. We love that the guide books give ratings for services and more variety of places to visit or eat. The gentleman who assisted us was very pleasant, and helpful, and gave us extra tips about the area we were visiting too. Service was super fast and while I was there I stocked up on discounted local movie theater tickets! This AAA office a real asset!

Fantastic experience: Went into the AAA office in Stamford, to pick up some maps for an upcoming vacation. Very helpful associate gave me some 'extra' brochures that she knew of for the area. Many people were there getting driver's license pictures. So much easier than going to the Motor Vehicle Office. Give it a try...
