Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience from A to Z. We used the Phoenix location. Ashley, the store manager is fantastic. Informative and easy to work with. Customer service is the very best. She guides you through the entire process. Darin was our instructor for the classroom and pool sessions. Classes where thorough and at a pace appropriate for all the students attending. A wonderful experience. I strongly recommend Diventures.

Fantastic experience: I felt very comfortable at Diventures when looking for a scuba shop to refresh my dive skills. I have a Padi Advanced Open Water Certification but haven't dived in 6 yrs. I completed my refresher course with Zach as my instructor & it was great! Zach was very knowledgeable & demonstrated each skill before we practiced with a buddy. Diventures has a nice warm 12 ft deep pool that was perfect for the 3 hour class. They also provided me with e-learning so I could prepare on my own time before jumping into the pool . Now I am ready for my next dive trip! Very friendly and welcoming shop too!

Fantastic experience: I discovered Diventures at the travel Phoenix show in Phoenix and had such a great time speaking with the team. They were all so enthusiastic and welcoming. A few weeks later, I get a call saying I won a free scuba class in a raffle! I was thrilled, but nervous. Well, my nervousness wasn't warranted, because I was in good hands with my instructor, Ashley, who taught me the basics in a fun, approachable, encouraging way. Her cheerful and reassuring leadership style made me gradually become more confident, even though I've never done diving, snorkeling or anything of the sort. I feel like I was given a great foundation for future success in diving!

August of last year I left my fear behind on the shore, and am now a master diver. The DiVentures company and the dive family at the Peoria location are second to none. I booked a lesson for my daughter after initially meeting her at the store. My daughter immediately felt comfortable with her which is very rare. Also, my daughter is autistic and there are a lots of things she deals with. I did not share this with Ashley in order to observe how the lesson goes. She was super! During the lesson she never rushed my daughter and patiently explained everything in a very kind manner. I recommend Ashley and look forward to booking more classes with her.

I could never ask for a better instructor as she is so wonderful! I highly recommend her to anyone! The scuba certification course is reasonable and worth every cent! Garth set us up with all the needed equipment! The store is also fully stocked everyone is happy to answer anything! Diveadventures ROCK!

Fantastic experience: Ashley B. once again gave me a lot of her time on my research for a new dive computer discussing what features were important to me, what was not. When Shearwater Research released their new Peregrine TX, this seemed to be the perfect match for what I was looking for. I was certified at Scuba Professionals of Arizona (now Diventures) and have taken all of my classes with them. I wanted to continue to use them as my preferred dive shop and Ashley was able to provide me with a military discount to match the price of other dive shops. She called me with this great news long after her work day should have ended and made sure the order was placed late in the evening the night before she started her vacation. I love this level of customer focus and commitment and is just another reason I will remain a customer of Diventures Phoenix in courses, equipment and trips.

Fantastic experience: I walked in the store on a Monday. The door happen to be open and the lights were off. The gal mentioned they were closed but asked if she could help me. She was absolutely amazing and took time out of her day to take care of me. Even though they were closed. That's is what I call fantastic customer service!

Fantastic experience: There are not enough words to express how wonderful our experience was with this team. Specifically Ellie who went above and beyond not once, not twice but continually for my family. Especially my son who is autistic. He was totally capable of completing the requirements but needed someone who could help his confidence, go a little slower, and make things as stress free as possible. She does all of this without cutting corners, and ensures that all the skills you demonstrate are up to standards. Ellie has a gift with people that is kind, warm, understanding and empathetic. She just gets where you are at and meets you right where you are with no judgement, no pressure and lets you know that she knows you can do it. Joe was a great leader also smart, funny, confidently experienced and engaged. Zack is energetic, knowledgeable, kind and educational. What a team!!! They make you feel like they just love being with you and there was nothing else they would rather be doing. Thank you Diventures for an awesome experience. I would recommend this team to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Joe Napper is a great instructor, and I highly recommend him! I took nitrox, night and limited vis, and deep diving with him as my instructor. He was the one who also taught me the pool portion of my Open Water certification.

Well-planned facilities. Numerous affordable "dream vacation" dive trips each year. Free use of indoor heated pool while enrolled as student. Large, loyal customer base, a great sense of community, mentors galore across all diving styles and disciplines. UPDATE 2023 I wrote this review in reference to the prior ownership at this location. While many of the things I've said are still valid as regards the new ownership, it's only fair for me to point out that the prior ownership is now established at a different location under the name ARIZONA DIVE CENTER....and I continue to recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: You found the right place to begin your Scuba adventures. I attended the Try Scuba course and felt so safe and comfortable, I enrolled in the Open Water Diver Course. My Pool instructor, Joe, is incredible. He loves the sport and it truly shows in his delivery. I had some fear in the beginning and he quickly and patiently worked through each one with me which allowed me to learn and have a great time. My certifications courses with, Dwain and DJ, continued the amazing experience beyond the pool and into the local lake. Joe's style of teaching in the pool, prepared me to confidently complete my Open Water Certification. Dwain and DJ created a safe, comfortable, and fun environment which allowed me to have a great time and pass my certifications. A special shout out to Instructor DJ - You saved my dive with your kindness and generosity that will never be forgotten. I was specifically impressed with the insistence on safety protocols both in the pool and in the open water. 10 out of 10 Totally Recommend - Cheers to the beginning of so many adventures. - Thank you Diventures - Peoria Team.

Fantastic experience: Definitly stop by this shop if you need help. I spent about two hours here and everyone was a great help. They had ideas and suggestions and knew their gear. Got me excited to save up for some newer gear for the future. I work in the commercial pool services so it was a different need of help, but they solved it, geared me up and I grabbed a few extras put the door. It was a great experience to actually get catered by three divers.

Negative experience: This being one of the only shops in the west valley they think they can do what they want. This shop does a poor job working with other professionals in the area you can see below is another instructor with a disappointing experience. I’m left time and time again being upset with this store. At one point I left a tank to be serviced. They gave my tank to another customer and all my tanks have my name on it. After just shy of a year he finally agreed to replace the tank and not with a new tank but the customers tank who took mine. But still I tried playing nice with this shop and send students there and Paul is rude to them and gives them a hard time. I don’t doubt that the other people had a good experience. Just if seems if your a professional there is no peer to peer respect.

Negative experience: As an Advanced Instructor, Master Diver, Expert Regulator Technician, as well as the ONLY person working at Scuba Professionals of Arizona certified to conduct Cylinder Inspections by PSI / PCI, I can no longer recommend this store for several reasons. One of the issues I often observed is that the store tells people that if they donate used dive gear to the store, that it would be refurbished and donated to the local school SCUBA diving program. The school that SPOAZ *used* to help out was the Carl Hayden underwater robotics team, but that program ended at CHHS approximately 2 years ago, yet the dive store continued to state they were helping out that program. Furthermore, the gear was not refurbished and donated to the school, it was refurbished and sold as used gear by the store, who in turn kept all the profits because the program at CHHS had already ended. I have seen customers and visitors donating dive gear, because of their belief it was being donated to a worthy cause, up until I left the store in January 2020. Scuba Professionals of Arizona does not, and never has, conducted hydro testing of cylinders on site because they are not certified to do so. However, customers are lead to believe they are and that is why the cost of hydrostatic testing is so high. A store employee drives the cylinders over once a week to drop off and pick up the cylinders at All State Cylinders. All hydrostatic cylinder testing for the dive store is conducted by All Safe Global Cylinders located at 4209 E University Drive, who charges $35 per cylinder for hydrostatic testing. The only other dive store that I know of who is actually certified to conduct hydrostatic testing on site, is El Mar Diving Center in Mesa and they only charge $40 for a Hydrostatic Testing, Visual Inspection, and fill with EAN21 air. Check their website for pricing. Another issue is that employees are told to tell every customer that ScubaPro's "Parts for Life" warranty expires if the customer does not bring in their gear every 12 months for servicing. This was also reinforced during all training when the "SSI Diver Diamond" would be discuess in regards to gear maintenance. This is incorrect as ScubaPro even lists it on their website as "gear is required to be serviced every 2 years or 100 dives, whichever comes first, in order to maintain the Parts for Life Warranty". That's right, it has to be serviced once every 2 years!! Mares, Atomic, AquaLung, HOG, Poseidon, and a slew of other manufacturers also recommend the 2yr/100 dive servicing regiment cycle. If your dive gear is stored in a climate controlled environment and rinsed off properly when done diving, it does NOT need to be serviced every single year. This is a money making scheme and part of their business model to make more money from their customers. Furthermore, Mares has a parts for life program on their regulators that does not require the purchasing of a BCD, Regulator, and Dive computer at all. You only have to buy the regulator (which they are very very good quality and I wholeheartedly recommend) in order to get parts for life. The problem is, I was the only certified Mares technician and the store only wants to sell ScubaPro gear because they are financially required to in order to maintain their "ScubaPro Platinum" status. I highly recommend checking the manufacturer of your gears website to determine if the store is actually authorized to work on that brand of gear. Do not trust what you are told in store as it may not be factual information. Finally, they tell everyone that their warranty is for 14 days because that's how long the computer saves the data. That's a lie. I could pull up transactions from 2016 on anyone. They just don't want to deal with returns on gear that didn't fit or work out for the diver. Check out Blue Mind Divers, El Mar Dive Center, or No Limits Scuba.

Negative experience: Very much a push sales store. All they want you to buy is Scuba Pro Stuff for the top dollar. Advance classes semi like they're going to be great and then they get switched or cancelled last second. Extra fees for using the pool with our own equipment. Management treats their employees poorly. The shining light of this place is Tina.

Fantastic experience: I recently got certified as an open water diver by my excellent instructor, Fia. I was quite hesitant about taking scuba lessons but Fia made me feel very comfortable, even during the open water dives in Lake Pleasant with the chilly, murky water. They were also helpful in getting me the gear that I needed for the class. I am excited to go on Scuba trips with Scuba Professionals of Arizona in the near future!

Negative experience: My certification process here was ok. Not the lease expensive place in town, but ok. I'm now hooked on diving! i bought a pair of boots for my husbands birthday. Paul the owner sold them to me and said if they didn't fit, I could return them as the purchase was in the computer. They didn't fit and once we returned to the country I went to the store. Paul refused to return the unused, still in the bag, still originally tagged boots 14 days after they were purchased. He says it states on the receipt they have a 10 day return policy. Had he told me I never would have made the purchase as we were out of the country for 12 days. As a new diver I will be spending lots of money on equipment. However. I will spend my money somewhere with a more reasonable return policy and better customer service.

Fantastic experience: I have recently completed my open water certification, and wanted to take a moment to qthank everyone at Scuba Professionals of Arizona for the amazing experience! From the classroom, to the pool, to the ocean, each step was fun, easy and completely seamless! I was a tad nervous about the whole experience, but the whole team went above and beyond to calm my nerves and make sure I was relaxed! The shop has all the equipment, suits, and toys you could ever ask for, even amazing deals on rental equipment! Special thank you to Tina, Paul, Adam, Dwayne for all your help and encouragment. Fantastic experience: My kids and I are getting our open water certification. I was very apprehensive as our schedules are very busy. To top it off the whole family got sick just days prior. Luckily, at least for our class, we started off in the classroom giving us time recuperate. The staff have been wonderful. They are very friendly and courteous and helpful. They treat everyone as if they were family. Our instructor is very knowledgeable and can easily impart the material to my children's level and have them understand it. My kids and I found a place where we will be frequenting for years to come. We found a place where we will be furthering our training for years to come as well.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional experience all around. Everyone at the shop is fun to work with, takes the time to make sure you are satisfied, and are a wealth of diving knowledge. We took the open water course with Tom Gruelle and we could not have got a better instructor. It was the perfect balance of fun and solid training. He took the extra time with whoever needed it and showed a level of patience that is hard to find. We will be taking many more classes with Tom! Negative experience: It's always unfortunate when a pretty good experience with a company ends up leaving a bad taste in your mouth but that's exactly how mine ended with Scuba Pro Az. First, I have to say that Tina is extremely friendly and always willing to help. My instructor was knowledgeable and patient and, besides constantly making fun of my equipment because it's semi-old even though it's still functional, obviously knew his stuff. After we were done with our pool classes, we were rented out equipment for our lake dives. It is here that I must caution you. Scuba Pro AZ failed to include one of the BC weight pouches when they rented my equipment out to me. Since I am an amateur and was unsure what to look for in rental equipment that was unfamiliar to me, I did not notice that the one pouch was missing. During my lake dive the assistant noticed that my pouch was gone. I told them I had no idea where it was because I hadn't touched the thing since leaving the shop the previous night. They said I would probably have to pay for it. I left it alone and when we finished with our lake dives they checked out my equipment and I left it at that. A week later I received a call from the owner, Peter or Paul or whatever his name is, who just has the warmest personality and absolutely loves talking with customers (each word of that sentence is dripping with sarcasm in case you can't tell). He told me I would have to pay for the pouch. I challenged him that I depended on the professionals at Scuba Professionals to properly check my gear and I in fact had not left the shop with that pouch. He said he would look into it. When I went into the shop to wrap up the final test and pay for the lake dives, I found out that I indeed had to pay $45 for the pouch. A pouch?! $45 that I know did not go to a ridiculous pouch, of which there are probably piles of in the back. Oh, and in regards to the online course that you are required to take, make sure you manage your time well because you'll have to repeat it 3 or 4 times. Aside from taking over an hour to even get in and navigate the site they send you, it continuously crashes and erases the progress you made. Many students complained about this but nothing happened besides the owner telling you that you have to use Google Chrome over and over again...which I was doing on several computers. So maybe my $45 dollars can go to hiring an IT guy to improve the SSI website. All that being said, while I am grateful I have the knowledge and resources to now start my scuba adventure, I am even more grateful to be done with the Scuba Pro AZ and I can now take my money to other shops in the Valley.

Fantastic experience: Just finished my 4 pool dives and I am looking forward to completing my checkout dives this weekend! Scuba Professional of AZ, Paul, Tina and especially Tom, are top-notch professionals. "Scuba Tom" (our name for him) has worked extra with me and has such patience! He pushes you just enough to make it to the next step, but knows when you need a break or time to regroup. I am close to completing a "bucket list" item and without everyone from this dive shop, it would not have happened!!!! Come give it a try!!!

Fantastic experience: The best SCUBA store in Arizona. Top notch instruction, crystal clear heated pool (80 decrees +) and a current generator in the pool. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I did my first wreck dive with one of the staff instructors Tom Gruelle , was very happy with him. He's quick to notice the wildlife and point it out which made the dive much more enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I took my 16 and 13 year old to a One Try Scuba course to see if they would like scuba diving. They had a blast. Their instructor Tom Gruelle was amazing and made the class fun for them. They now want to get certified. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Just received my Open Water Certification through Scuba Professionals of Arizona. I can not say how pleased I am with the experience! Then entire staff is extremely kind and willing to work around any schedule issues I encountered. Big shout out to my instructor Tom Gruelle; he definitely made the certification worth while.

Fantastic experience: Great group of scuba fans and instructors working here. They have a great pool in the back for classes and to try out new gear as well as a great schedule of different classes for beginners (like me) to advanced divers. The shop is a bit hard to find in the back of an industrial park, but you can just look for the tons of ScubaPro signs in the front.

Negative experience: I would stay as far away as possible!!! This was the worst experience that I have had, after having several conversations...they informed me that they are not going to refund my money I've only attended 1 class. They never informed me of their refund policy. STAY AWAY.

Fantastic experience: What a great first scuba diving experience! I finally got around to try scuba diving for the first time earlier this summer. Not sure what to expect, I was greeted by a very friendly staff, and students who already were certified or on their way to more advanced classes. After some introduction safety videos in the classroom and signing a bunch of release forms I got all the help I needed to prepare for some time in the pool. I forgot to bring a T shirt but fortunately the equipment did not bother my back. The mask provided fit me perfectly and I managed to get into the borrowed fins. The initial equipment test and first underwater experience was not as scary as I feared thanks to a great instructor. With multiple fellow divers and instructors assisting me I got plenty of time in the water exploring part of a three dimensional world I never really had experienced before. Although living over 2 hours away I very much look forward to continue with certification classes when time allows. Thank you for making my first scuba experience excellent. You really know what you are doing and have a great way of teaching.

Fantastic experience: Great staff!! Very helpful and very knowledgeable. They take the time to make sure you are very comfortable in the water. The store is fairly new and has all the things you will need including NITROX. The pool is well thought out and even has a camera in it to watch the divers swim around.

Fantastic experience: Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff! Ive been diving and going on trips with them since they opened and I wouldn't go with anyone else! Made some amazing new friends and continue to learn and grow with scuba diving. The safety standards that they have are by far the best in Arizona. I dove and got certified with other phoenix dive stores and they don't hold a candle. Cant wait for my next trip!!!

Fantastic experience: Some time ago I visited Scuba Professionals of Arozona for a try scuba dive. I was very well taking care of and most of all I had an excellent Dive Mater instructing me and taking me for a dive in their excellent pool. After my try scube I was convinced that also I could learn how to dive and thanks to Scuba Professionals of Arizona I shortly after managed to take my Open Water Divers License.
