Positive experience: I always have a wonderful experience with Cruise Holidays of Kansas City. Anna has been my travel consultant and she has been great and helpful throughout the whole process. She listened to my preferences and budget and created a perfect itinerary for me. She also gave me some useful tips and advice for my trip. Everyone at the agency is so friendly and professional. I felt like they really cared about me and my vacation. The only thing I didn’t care for was that they charge a consultation fee for their services. I have always heard that travel agents should not charge their own fees to book with them. I understand that they have a lot of expertise and connections, but I think the fee should be included in the price of the package or the commission they receive from the suppliers. I don’t like paying extra for something that I expect to be part of the service. Other than that, I am very satisfied with Cruise Holidays of Kansas City and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a hassle-free and memorable vacation. Negative experience: Send a message about interested in a princess Cruise never received a return call. I contacted another travel agent and they were able to help me right away. I use these folks many years A. Go and stop using them to start using travel agents that give me benefits or cash refunds. I thought i'd give my chance. But there are other agencies out there better.

Negative experience: Our family of 14 booked 7 balcony cabins, airfare, and travel insurance thru CHKC for a Norway cruise June 17-29, 2023. In addition to the "commissions" they received from Royal Caribbean, KLM, and Travel Guard Insurance--they charged me fees of $445. On five previous bookings we received complimentary fanny packs, Champaign, chocolate candies etc to thank us for our business. This cruise we received nothing and the agent just advised me that CHKC has made a decision that NO gifts right now............. In our opinion CHKC has jacked up their fees and reduced services to the customer. Our next cruise will be booked thru a company where they charge no fees and actually give you freebies to thank you for your business. We are very disappointed ...........

Their agents are knowledgeable and helpful, working to keep our travel budget and plans reasonable. They also have travel presentations by vendors throughout the year, so it benefits to use Cruise Holidays' complimentary services.

Fantastic experience: Kim was great from the start. Available, responsive, knowledgeable. Even though our trip was cancelled due to Covid in 2020 she kept me aware of what was going on. Finally this year our family of 10 enjoyed the Royal Caribben cruise. Kate was very helpful as well should be acknowledged as a go to person. I will be using Kim and Cruise Holidays when we travel again. It was the first time cruising for 7 in our group and all said they would do it again. To me that's a good compliment. With great patience and understanding, they have taught us the in's and out's of riverboat cruising on 2 rivers already, while we await yet another tour (or two) on AmaWaterways, coming up soon. I couldn't ask for better support by phone/e-mail. Answers to my numerous questions come back quickly and definitively. Fantastic experience: Just got back from a trip to Marival Armony. Undoubtedly, the most beautiful resort that I have ever been too! Can't thank the Cruise Holidays Team enough. We had looked on line at another destination on Puerto Vallarta and it was over twice the price!! We saw whales breaching several times from the beach. I can not recommend any place more highly!! We would never made it high with out using, the C.H. Team!!

All the details handled, all the perks received, and all while making the most incredible memories. We have taken 16 cruises with Cruise Holidays and every one of them has been top-notch. Fantastic experience: We are currently finalizing a trip to Italy, and the service from Cruise Holidays has been amazing! We have been in contact with several people, and every one of them has been cordial, responsive, and prompt. This is the third trip we have scheduled through Cruise Holidays, and every time we have been impressed. Fantastic experience: In December 2019 I bid on and won a trip through the Big Brothers Big Sisters silent online auction that was donated by Cruise Holidays and Karisma Resorts. Then COVID hit! My husband and I were to take the trip by Dec 2020 but everyone was kind and generous to extend it to Dec 2021. I worked with Kim North and her team for almost 2 full years, exchanging just short of 100 emails. Never once did I feel like less of a customer than if I had bought a trip around the world! I received some of the best customer service I have ever experienced! We finally took our trip. Every detail was taken care of including wheelchair service at each airport, transportation between the airport and resort, and valuable tips on what to do and what to watch out for. The entire trip was without incident. We will go back again and definitely use Cruise Holidays to plan future excursions. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have booked 3 vacations here with Anna Bidstrup and she is wonderful! She makes everything easy and helps me get prepared for the trip. They are very organized and make sure you have all the documents needed. Especially traveling with ever-changing COVID restrictions, they really know their stuff! When traveling to and from Mexico, I noticed other travelers were not as prepared and I was thankful that Anna set me up for success. I highly recommend this business and specifically Anna. I was very impressed with her attentiveness and ability to answer a variety of different questions to get this Windjammer Cruise booked for us. For months, she has been speaking with me, assuring me, and advising me throughout the entire experience of planning my husband’s celebratory vacation in Mexico. She’s responsive whenever we have questions and listens each time we have a concern. Cassie is honest and will give you the facts about possible issues that may arise while traveling out of the country. She is dependable and reliable, and I wouldn’t want any other travel agent to handle my foreign vacation plans.

Fantastic experience: We booked a vacation with Cassie before the pandemic started... no matter what curveball the travel restrictions threw her way, she handled it quickly and professionally! She continually communicated all of our options and helped us make the best decisions with the info available. I cannot imagine navigating all of that without her... Once travel opened back up, the trip did not disappoint! We had some questions about checking into our flight home from Mexico and Cassie immediately helped us figure out what we needed to do. She is a wealth of information on all-inclusive resorts and helped us pick one that met our must-have checklist (great beach, fun for kids, not so expensive that we can't afford to feed them when we get home)! We will absolutely book our next vacation with Cassie and will continue to recommend her to all of our friends and family!

Negative experience: •I chose to go with Cassie Johnson’s recommendation, El Dorado for my wedding. The resort was at capacity and could not accept any further reservations. I was ASSURED by Cassie that capacity would open. Month after month she continued to assure me of this, all while my friends and family were trying unsuccessfully to book rooms. Finally, I told her that I think I should change resorts. She called me back a few days later and said that SHE thinks I should look for another venue. Mind you this was 2 months before my wedding date. By the time the new resort was secured, I had lost at least 10 guests that had originally reached out. I blame her for this. She dared to ask me why I chose this resort, to begin with, I had to remind her it was HER recommendation. •Sandos Cancun was the first to respond for the new venue so she suggested that I go with this resort. I find out that the venue is NOT adults only. This was another thing that I made crystal clear to Cassie. It’s almost as if either she wasn’t listening, didn’t care, has trouble comprehending, or maybe all of the above. I was also VERY clear with her, regarding my expectation of a 5-star resort and ended up in a 4-star. •I reached out to Cassie to reconcile those guests that I still needed to connect with. She literally was searching her emails while on the phone with me. I was absolutely flabbergasted that she did not have an excel spreadsheet assembled to keep track of this! •I chose Cancun because I wanted to avoid connecting flights for my family and friends flying in from St. Louis. I have traveled to Cancun on multiple occasions and always had direct flights. They ended up with connecting flights anyway. •My guests complained of “email bingo” they had to play due to Cassie’s multiple weeks of vacation, they were bounced from one person to another accomplishing nothing! A few just chose to book on their own for this reason. •A week before the wedding, Cassie emailed me the list of those that booked through her. She was once again a day late and a dollar short! I waited to be married until the age of 47 to have the wedding of my dreams which was ended in a partial nightmare. Trusting Cassie Johnson with one of the most significant events in my life will haunt me forever.

Fantastic experience: It’s hard to convey how fantastic our recent vacation planning and experience was through Cruise Holidays of KC/Comfort Tours & Travel. Mimi helped us plan a last-minute trip even though we had no idea where we wanted to go. We just knew we had a window of time that we wanted to go somewhere amazing. Mimi was so responsive (even after hours) and spent a lot of time talking to us in order to nail down what type of vacation would be perfect. She ended up helping us plan a wonderful trip that included adventure, relaxation, great sites, and time at the ocean. Everything was planned in a highly detailed itinerary and all the transportation was provided and pre-planned. All we had to do was pack ourselves and get on the plane! Cindy and Jessica made sure we had additional questions answered and provided travel tips and checklists to make sure we were prepared. This was our first time working with a travel company, and we’ll never go back to endless searching and scrolling online trying to put together a trip on our own. This company made the planning part of our vacation super easy, and we are incredibly thankful! They are such a kind and hard-working group of people that honestly just want to help people relax and see the world. We recommend Comfort Tours & Travel with the highest enthusiasm!

Fantastic experience: I worked with Anna and Megan for booking our honeymoon, they were awesome at their job. Anna researched multiple places for us then once we booked and then changed out minds she was very accommodating. We had no issues checking into our hotel, or picking up our rental car. I had one question about the rental car, after we checked in and Megan answered my email and question very quickly. I really appreciate everything they did for us to make booking our trip easy.

Positive experience: Wasn’t much communication from my agent other than a thank you for booking/payment. I booked my vacation a year in advance. My agent failed to inform me that she works with another agent...which confused me because a totally different agent sent an email asking for final payment. There was no personal approach with information, tips, what to expect..nor did they check in with me to see how things were going in prep for our first cruise...but about a week or 2 from sail date, I received an email about my upcoming trip. There was also an itinerary change from St. Thomas to San Juan and the agent failed to relay the information to me. I asked my agent about the change because I saw it in a Facebook forum and the agent emailed me the next day saying they called Royal Caribbean and retrieved the information to pass on to me. This was the first cruise for my family of 5 so perhaps my expectations from the travel agent were too high. Great trip nonetheless.

Positive experience: We booked our honeymoon to Belize through Cruise Holidays, and the honeymoon itself was absolutely wonderful! However, booking it was very frustrating at some points. Before I booked, I was passed around to multiple agents who asked the same list of questions I had answered before. I ended up with Aubree who was extremely nice and did a fantastic job answering my questions and concerns throughout the process. Email seemed like the preferred method of contacting anyone at the company. There were no direct numbers to the agents and each time I called I was faced with an always disgruntled receptionist who at one point refused to transfer me to Aubree. I almost took my business elsewhere, but Aubree is the reason I decided to stick with them. It also helped to speak with Mimi in the beginning who helped ease any fears about traveling to Belize. I would only recommend Cruise Holidays if the booking process were greatly improved.

Negative experience: So far my experience with Cruise Holidays of Kansas City has been less than desirable. The staff does not pay attention to detail, they did not listen from the very start when they were told how important it is to me where I'm placed on an airplane and when there was an issue that could have been resolved and corrected with a phone call but instead they allowed my tickets to be declined because they failed to address they issue early. It cost me more money and their attitude towards my added cost was less than caring which further upset me. The reason for choosing a travel agent is because they are supposed to know the ins and outs and hopefully get you a better deal than you could have gotten on your own. Our trip is planned and has been for several months so I intend to continue through the process but Cruise holidays of Kansas City has their work cut out for them if they are going to make this a pleasurable experience dealing with them. I'll post favorably if they can turn this around until then I am not a happy customer.

My husband is in a wheelchair and since we were newbies in the cruise world, we needed lots of advice and handholding. Fantastic experience: My wife and 2 boys have been haunting me to go on a cruise for years. I am a moderate claustrophobic and was very concerned about being cooped up on a ship. My sister has worked with Jeanie McConnell from "Snail's Pace Special Travel Services; A Division of Cruise Holidays of Kansas City" several times in the past. She suggested that I contact her. Am I glad we did. Jeanie was fantastic. She got us booked on the Norwegian Gem sailing out of New York to the Bahamas'. She answered all my questions and concerns (almost immediately - I'd send an email and would have a response usually within minutes). This first time cruiser is hooked and will happily utilize Jeanie's services again. For all the claustrophobics' out there, I would recommend that you get a balcony. We did not and wish we did as the room was particularly small (there were 4 of us). Our budget dictated what we could get, however, next time I won't hesitate to upgrade. I survived the tight space and kept reminding myself that the room was just for sleeping. The ship is as big as a city and I was completely comfortable wherever we were on the ship. We had a blast and are already saving for the next cruise in a couple of years. Thanks Jeanie for making this trip a truly memorable experience.
