Fantastic experience: This home in the Soledad Mountain area of San Diego is gorgeous and looks just as the photos and description show. The location is fabulous. We were able to go for morning walks in this beachy neighborhood all the way to the beach if we chose. The area has restaurants, beach access and shopping very close by. The house is newly remodeled, very open floor plan with private patio, pool and spa. The house was very clean upon our arrival which made us feel safe and welcomed. It is great for family fun including cooking meals, watching movies, having a fire in the fire pit, and of course enjoying the pool and spa. The kitchen had all we needed to cook with few details missed. We felt very rested as the beds are very comfortable. We needed to contact the rental company a few times for various things and they were always very prompt in their reply and attempted to remedy whatever issue we had. We were the first renters after a complete remodel and discovered some things the contractor could repair and hope this will be completed for future guests. This home is great for a family trip with many guests due to 4 bedrooms with ample sleeping space. It's also comfortable for grandparents with minimal stairs. My mother was traveling with us. We would definitely rent this home again in the future. It's a bit pricy but for our first time traveling in 2 years we felt safe, comfortable, and very rested and pampered after our stay.

Fantastic experience: Literally steps to the beach! Such a comfortable place with so many thoughtful touches. This place is a gem. I loved waking up every morning with the view of the waves crashing on the beach. Location is everything and this place is well situated so you can walk everywhere. We loved having a garage to park our rental in. The only time we drove anywhere was to visit family. I would highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: Updated: Since the management would not issue a refund we stayed in a different house than originally booked. Why? Because the previous home selected is no longer an option. Guess the ownership heard about the highly questionable business practices and chose to work with an ethical company. So we stayed in a different home. Place was nice, but management was and continues to be horrible. Asked for an early check in, said they could not accommodate due to guest checking out and needing to clean the space. Ironically it was available to rent up until the day we checked in and the cleaning services apparently turned the hot water heater to vacation mode in between guest. In case you could not tell from the sarcasm they blatantly lied and made no effort to try to accommodate a request. Pool was dirty. They had all these pool play toys, but not needle for a pump. The internet instructions were wrong. The pool instructions were not user friendly. The place was really nice, but the management company made an effort to save a buck and put in their own branded cheap soap, shampoo, lotion. They had vendors show up unannounced and didn't even know who was coming or going. If I was the owner of the home located at 48844 Meandering Cloud St. I'd be embarrassed to have this company represent my. They are the worst and I will NEVER book with them again. Not sure how this company can have a positive rating. During this pandemic the company has taken the absolute tone deaf approach of not refunding the customers money. They say you can get a credit for up to 18 months to book at same house. But the rate is not guaranteed. Oh and get this I spoke to the actual home owner who agreed their business tactic are poor. He even asked the company to refund the customer. The home owner stated he intends to leave the company. So I get a credit for a property they will no longer manage at an unspecified rate with a company that is unlikely to even be in business. I can not say enough horrible things about this company and their piss poor policies that benefit no one but them! Utterly pathetic and disgusting that business like this can even exist.

Fantastic experience: Excellent location, very clean and comfortable getaway. Everything you need for a relaxing break is provided including beach towels, toiletries, bikes/boards. The location is perfect, close to the beach and lots of great restaurants nearby

Negative experience: WATCH OUT. VERY SHADY. These people have no common courtesy. I tried to cancel my reservation within five minutes of booking and they refused to return my money. I needed a kitchen for the Thanksgiving holiday and my rental does not have one. It was advertised as a full home and it’s really just someone’s basement rental with a bed and a mini fridge. Offered no discount. Offered no different accommodations. STAY AWAY!!!

Positive experience: Responsive to urgent repairs but many more repairs needed on the property. There didn't seem to be a local property manager. If there had been, they probably would have fixed the broken baseboard, the broken light fixtures, broken screens & window cranks as well as the bathtub faucet.

Fantastic experience: Great place, small space but I loved it! Has an amazing view of the harbor and downtown San Diego. Great for a romantic getaways, I personally stayed for my birthday and it was perfect for me and my wife. Hot tub at night is so relaxing with the scenery in the backyard. Definitely would recommend this place and will book again.

Fantastic experience: This house and location was perfect! the pool & hot tub and grounds where excellent and tons of fun for our family! we were close to everything we needed, grocery store, eating out, and attractions like beach and downtown are not too far by car. perfect family getaway ❤ cleaning services could have done a better job! but outside of that the complaints are minimal! love the pool house and pool lounge area!! be careful if you have kids as the bunk beds are missing a few screws...but we managed and my boyz loved the house. balcony was also awesome!!

Fantastic experience: The home was great, everyone in our group was comfortable and had their own bed. House was super clean when we arrived. There is a bit of an ant problem so you must remove trash a few times a day. Other than that, our stay was perfect!

Positive experience: We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend, and absolutely enjoyed it. While this place is not on the beach it's near enough to by car rental to be on the beach or bay pretty quickly. Many restaurants are nearby, the airport is also very close. It's located in the posh Mission Hill's area and the views from the backyard do not disappoint. The listing states there's not an A/C in the unit, but to our surprise and delight, there's one which works great. The jacuzzi is wonderful, an added bonus to the already value priced per night experience. The place was very clean upon arrival and quite comfortable overall. The only downside, was the shower, which has a slow running drain turning the shower into a mini tub. Also, another bummer is the late check for which there is no appeal to request an earlier arrival time and the early AM checkout is not ideal. Overall, I'd use them once more, our experience was very positive, the neighbors are mostly quiet. This is an ideal location for visiting San Diego.

When we had any problems we could get someone on the phone within 20 seconds and they in turn would organize a local response within an hour. The local team had a network of friendly, effective service providers. They were a real asset for our 67 day stay.

Negative experience: The house we rented in Oceanside on the beach (918 The Strand North was clean, with a beautiful view, but definitely needs to be remodeled. Totally 1980's decor. The downstairs tv did not work and we were told if there is no cable box, then I guess you don't have tv downstairs. The upstairs tv only had basic cable, and we were disappointed not to be able to watch college football on the championship weekend. The heater downstairs was making a really loud noise and there was no heat. I called maintenance but no-one ever came to fix it. So it was freezing down there for the entire 5 days we stayed there.

Fantastic experience: The property was entirely as advertised - clean, well furnished, well accessorized, in complete working order. The communications from TurnKey were thorough, accurate and timely. All in all, an excellent experience - one which we would gladly repeat and one which we would heartily recommend to others.

Fantastic experience: I loved this old historic house. It was so peaceful. I wish I wasn’t at a conference and could have spent more time in the garden or reading in the quaint sunroom at the top of The stairs. The house is old so don’t expect perfection. But, if you want to feel a sense of history and you love classic architecture this is a good choice. Big house with lots of room for everybody.

The house was comfortable and a great location for our family get together. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the grill and fire pit on the patio. We will definitely be back!

Positive experience: Loved this little beach bungalow! It was a perfect location to the beach equipped with parking and laundry. The futon even folds out and there is an extra bed stored in the wall! It was perfect to have 2 extra guests stay for a night. The main bed is a little bit short and the house is missing a couple basics - can opener, dish towels, etc but overall for a quick trip if you’re not cooking it has everything you need! Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic experience: The house was beautiful absolutely fabulous! Not 1 complaint. Our vacation in Imperial was amazing! The people are wonderful! Small reminder to the cleaning crew Please leave toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning sponges for kitchen & trash bags If you feel generous please leave coffee. There was zero when we arrived. There was 9 of us for 4 days. After a very long drive into Cali I then had to go right back out to to the store for basics. Not a huge ordeal except it was a holiday alot of traffic & store was not super close .It was a minor inconvenience at best. Regardless I look forward to using Turnkey again for my next getaway. I was impressed & would quickly recommend them. Thank you see you soon!

Positive experience: Good experience with the TurnKey folks in San Diego. They always returned emails and texts within a few hours, and offered to fix things as needed. The only thing was they didn't always know what was going on at the property, for instance the landscapers showed up and that was a surprise to us.and them. I will rent from a TurnKey property again, no problem!

Fantastic experience: The place was clean and well stocked with bathroom supplies and cooking supplies. There was plenty of space. Beds were clean and comfortable. The decor seemed new. Upstairs deck had a great view, plenty of seating and was a great proximity to landing planes. It was close to downtown and the Hillcrest district. We had 8 adult people sleeping there very comfortably.

Negative experience: Don't be fooled by the photos of this property! The property itself is in a great location, however the houses on the property are NOT well maintained. I had to clean when I arrived, sweeping, wiping down counters, removing food remnants from the tablecloth and microwave oven, just as a start. The property advertises that it sleeps 9, but there are only 5 forks. The only refrigerator is very small, making it hard to store food for 9. The mattress in one of the cottages doesn't have a frame, and sits on the floor. The uncomfortable futon in the other cottage collapses into the middle. The master bathroom has no electrical outlet, so if you need electricity and a mirror, you must all use the guest bathroom. While the location provides beautiful views from the deck, the stairs to the deck are uneven and quite dangerous. I contacted the company when I arrived, but by the time they contacted me back and offered to send housekeeping again, I had finished cleaning. This property and homes on it have outstanding potential, if the houses and contents were updated and maintained.

Positive experience: Company was fantastic; actual place was decent, but worn. Recommendations to improve place: (1) stock a good can opener (it can be handheld, but the one there was terrible), (2) update the mattresses (they squeaked and we rolled to the middle), (3) fix the set up for the living room ceiling fan (had to unplug other things to plug it in, then couldn't control it using the remote, so we just unplugged it again b/c the fan was on high). Things I appreciated: (1) responsiveness of TurnKey (woke up to find out the shower didn't work; they had a plumber there quickly & were super great over the phone), (2) clarity of signs posted throughout the rental, (3) being right on the beach was amazing! Would I rent this particular place again? Maybe.

Positive experience: The house was exactly as advertised. Clean and cozy with a beautiful backyard. Definitely in a family friendly neighborhood. Only downside was we weren’t able to check in early but that wasn’t a huge deal. The master bedroom with the ensuite bathroom doesn’t have a tv but the second bedroom has a king sized bed and tv. Overall we had a very lovely stay and would recommend this home for vacationing families.

Fantastic experience: We really enjoyed our vacation and had 4 teenagers with us, ages 15 & 16. It was a little far to the pier side which is where the teenagers liked a little more, we walked a LOT, but the quieter side was nice for us adults, with a fun neighborhood bar, breakfast cafe and market within a block and a peaceful nights sleep without a bunch of rowdy partying which you get when you're closer to the pier. There was only 1 bike, so having more bikes would have been awesome if there was a wish list for next time. Thanks for the use of your home!

Fantastic experience: My friends and I had an AMAZING experience staying at this house. It was the perfect location, close to the airport, little Italy, Hillcrest, downtown, etc. Also only a fifteen minute Uber to the beach! Luckily the weather was gorgeous so we also got to enjoy the fabulous rooftop deck. It was the perfect size for our large group. Thank you again Turn Key!

Fantastic experience: We celebrated our friend's bachelorette party at this house. It was the perfect space for a big group. It was clean, spacious, great location close to downtown, awesome rooftop. Communication with the company was prompt when we had issues with the door code since it changed when we were given complimentary early check in. The stairs getting up to the house was quite a cardio workout (which every one needs a little of anyway!). The only issue we really had was that there was not enough toilet paper supplied for our big group. We had to go out and get more. But not a big issue. Great place to stay!

Positive experience: It was clean and well appointed with second bedroom with twin beds we didn’t use. They had enough paper products to get us started, towels and dishes. Would have been nice if they stocked enough coffee for at least the first morning’s pot of coffee. Also the couch and chair in living room were very soft thus little difficult to get out. The garage stall was a life saver in that when we would get back in evening there was not any street parking. As they warned us it is a very narrow garage and narrow alley so I had to back the standard size rental care in with the backup camera’s help.

Fantastic experience: Wow, what a great experience. My wife and I were looking for some quiet time at one of our favorite places, the beach and this place was perfect. Immaculately clean and ver comfortable. We like to walk and this was the perfect distance to Carlsbad Village and all that is offered there. Great restaurants, bars and shopping. Jesse the owner is a doll, we loved her. Don't miss this amazing little hide away 1 block from a beautiful beach.

Positive experience: Overall, I had a good experience with the TurnKey property I rented in San Diego. We had some issues with there not being enough towels per the # of guests, and no propane for use of the rooftop grill we were looking forward to that presented an issue. I had troubles getting ahold of the customer service department, so these issues were not taken care of during the visit, however they did reimburse me for groceries and my troubles. Overall, the place was great and was as described. The property management company was slightly below average, but perhaps it was an isolated incident. I have mixed feelings on whether I would stay with them again.

The house was very clean. All we had to do was buy some groceries and we were set. The communication from Turnkey was spot on.
